Burritoville Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. You must also avoid Breakfast Platter and Pancake Platter from the menu. Pancakes and Cinnamon Roll from the breakfast menu are also off-limits for diabetics.

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Pretty good authentic Mexican food. They've changed a bit since we were last here. Their new salsa and chips at the table is nice. Salsa has a great flavor and it tastes super fresh. Their lunch specials are cheap and good -$5.99. I ordered two tamales. I really liked the tamales themselves but they were covered in a weird meaty red sauce. Very strange. I scraped that off and enjoyed the tamales. I would have ordered them dry. Their refried beans are so good. Even rice is good and I don't like rice. My husband got steak quesadillas. He devoured them and said they were awesome. I've had their guacamole in the past and it's made fresh...very tasty.

Cheap drunk Mexican take out. Not bad not good, but when you're wasted in the Dirty D, it's epic. The next day is bad real bad. Shock and Awe to the bathroom! Some idiot frat boy was real wasted and chugged the entire hot sauce bottle and puked in the lot. The cooks came out to watch both events. Smells like steak

This place is the epitome of fast food. I went here once for dinner (take out) and it was honestly the biggest mistake I've made. I'm a huge Mexican cuisine lover and this was bad good. Unless you're a drunk college student who wants a quick, cheap meal and isn't worried about quality, then by all means, have at it. But if you want authentic Mexican food - try the other places in DeKalb.

We stop at Burrito ville quite often. The burrito bowls are great. Stop in on Sunday for their buffet. Several items to choose from. Friendly staff n good service

I love Burritoville! I do admit, the first time I went to Burritoville, I was pretty intoxicated, so it really seemed wonderful. I did return sober and still love it! It does get a bit crowded during the late evenings, but that's because they have karaoke. I really love Burritoville because they make everyone feel welcome! Very open environment. They also make your food very quickly, so if you're really hungry, it's a good place to get food fast, without going to fast food.

    (5)
  • Ryan T.

Try the seafood! Personally, not a fan of the "drunk food" but the authentic Mexican and the seafood are amazing! Also, try a michelada, soooooo good for a hangover!

  • Michael F.

Decent. Had the barbacoa. Wasn't dry. That's a plus. Not a fan of lettuce in a burrito (Been in California the last three years and never saw this before). Second try at Mexican food in Dekalb. My first attempt was at Los Tres Burritos so the bar was kind of low. Burritoville gave me hope that maybe there is a burrito joint in this town that can make one of the most simple texmex dishes. The search continues.

Ordered through Campus Special. Waited nearly two hours for our food with no apology or offer of refund. On top of that, our food was definitely not up to temp when it arrived and had lousy quality. I was drowning in a world of lettuce and sour cream with my taco salad. I will never go to this restaurant or order from here again.

    (1)
  • Joe E.

It's a good location as many have said, but if you want tasty mexican (ie youre not drunk/high) go to el burrito loco, hell, even head to taco bell.

    (2)
  • Amy L.

I love their tacos. I love their tamales. I hate their delivery services. I usually order a few tacos and a few tamales, and it takes up to two hours to have them delivered. And all too often, when I order 3 tamales, I will only get one. The long delivery time and short items in my order has happened several times... so if you want your food, pick it up.

We haven't lived in Dekalb in 4 years... and I still travel the half-an-hour there sometimes for their Cuban Sandwich. Ham, roast pork, white cheese (I usually get easy onions and no jalapenos - because I'm a doughy white guy), a sliced hot dot, and kind of a spicy bean spread and, I believe some mayo - all on homemade torta bread. Heaven! I have tried Cuban sandwiches everywhere I see them... including in Miami. This is my favorite anywhere. I live in Aurora and you can throw a penny in any direction and hit a burrito place and I still drive out to Dekalb for this sandwich. Top 3 sandwiches I've ever eaten. Period. Everything I've had there is good, as well. A friend of mine is partial to their tostadas.

Been going here for years..... it is a icon in this collage town..... We now live in a different state and it is still one place that we have to go to when in town..... Owner still remembers us . Best , biggest , burritos anywhere. LOVE them!!

  • Willy A.

Sadly like any other place, people never seem to voice when they have a good experience, but if they aren't quite satisfied they are very anxious to voice a negative opinion.. so I decided to jump on here today to give my take on local food / entertainment / etc... I have been living on and off in Dekalb my entire life.. I'm what they often call a "townie of dekalb"... I have been to Burritoville more times then I will ever recall.. I even have a record of the most taco's ever ate in a single sitting there (which is 36 btw)... Burrivoville is by far my favorite place to get authentic Mexican food. Rudy (owner) has devoted much energy to keeping the quality up product up. The one down side to this place for me is service.. especially on the delivery side if you don't speak Spanish... I've had multiple issues with delivery, but never dissatisfied with a visit in person. LOVE Burritoville.. in fact, I'm about to order food from them now just, just thinking about it makes me crave it!

  • Buttermilk P.

The food wasn't terrible. I had the chicken enchilada and my wife had chicken fajitas. Their horchata was delicious and the meal was decent. However, we had a very un-attentive waitress and some of the owners or higher ups of the place were sitting in the dining area, drunk and a tad belligerent. Perhaps their success is going to their head a bit?

  • Derek G.

When I lived in Denver, mexican immigrants used to sell burritos out of a cooler on the street corner around bar closing time. I lived right downtown and often after working on school work I'd head outside and walk a few steps and snag an amazing authentic burrito. Burritoville kind of reminds me of that, but not quite as good. Unfortunately the first time I ate here was after a couple of beers. Same with the 2nd time. The third time I was decently sober and realized maybe the food isn't as good as it is after a few beers. oops. Anyway, after the bars - go. If you are going for dinner or lunch, there are better spots.

WORST food in DeKalb. The first time I actually ordered Burritoville sober they put half of an onion (not chopped) on my steak torta. Definitely a late night meal after a night of drinking.

    (1)
  • Sarah R.

Honestly this place only survives because of it's location right next to all the NIU greek houses and partly apartments. It's always packed late an night with drunk hungry college kids, but I was at NIU for 4 years and never knew anyone who would eat there sober. There are better Mexican eateries in the area with low prices like El Burrito Loco or Tacos Salsas Y Carnitas. Also, be careful as the staff is not above overcharging the occasional drunk or two...

I had a steak taco and chips and salsa from Burritoville and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a drunk fest when I walked in, and it did take quite a while to get my food.

Ten years ago when I went to school at NIU Burritoville was so good and BurritoLoco was gross. Now the tables have turned and I only stop here when I am desperate after a night out. Burritoville is one of those places you go to after a night of drinking or if you need a quick fix for Mexican food. The prices are average, there are some good deals, especially during the school semester. My favorite thing about Burritoville is their Horchata.

  • Monique C.

I don't know why Burritoville has so much hype, the food sucks! I know they're open real late and perfect for drunk nights, but seriously?! I've gone here several times at 4am drunk, but even through my drunkeness, I can still taste how shitty the food is.

    (1)
  • Chris W.

It was my first time visiting NIU... and of course all of us got sloshed. At 3 am when nothing was open, we were forced to go with Burritoville. One of the NIU locals made the order: 2 orders of nachos with ground beef, quesadillas, and a taco. The ground beef flooded the nachos like soup, the taco was the size of a lemon, and the quesadillas were 1/4 decent, only because everything else tasted like feces. Place was garbage. I guess I am just too used to TBK in Chicago!

    (1)

Burritoville is a Mexican fast food joint. The ingredients are cheap and so is the food. They offer many dinners for 5.75. Their Horchata is very sweet and not natural, probably a powder mix. I would recommend it if you are very drunk and like Mexican food.
