Village Cinema Menu

Diabetics at Village Inn

Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.

Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for Diabetics

Village Inn offers very few items edible for diabetics without any threat. You can avoid sandwiches and burgers at Village Inn and try the light breakfast items on the menu. You must also skip the shakes as well as other juices from the beverage menu. Almost all the dinner items on the menu are high in sodium except Grilled Tilapia and 6 oz. Top Sirloin & Toast. Avoid Soup bowls and opt for cups instead at Village Inn.

Went to catch a matinee today. It was Veterans holiday but I don't think they thought about that head of time because they looked understaffed. Only two people were working the ticket booth and the lines to buy tickets were really long. I think the fact that you have to choose your seats prior to buying your tickets makes the lines take even longer because people are debating over what seats to choose and some people were taking their sweet time. Good thing our movie we wanted to watch was 30 minutes still from show time otherwise we would have missed some of it because of the lines. Theatre was really nice. Seats were comfortable and everything was very clean (although they have only been opened a short while). I've read other reviews about problems with the movie showing but we didn't run into any issues. Good overall theatre experience.

Fantastic! Now that opening bugs are worked out, everything is great. Bought tickets on-line-- you even get to choose your seats!

Normally when you go to a big release on opening weekend, you have to get to the theater early and wait in line for even a chance at a decent seat...or show up later and risk getting a kink in your neck because only the front seats are left. Then you have people leaving arbitrary spaces between seats as if the theater won't be full, the sucker who drew the short straw saving several seats for friends who don't show until the last minute, and that big mob that arrives late hoping to get seats together. Awkwardness abounds if the sucker's friends haven't shown yet. Consequently I was ecstatic when I found out a theater was opening that lets you to purchase your desired seat concert-style. I bought our tickets earlier this week for Thor 2. Our preferred middle back was already taken, but we still got great seats. Even better, we didn't have to wait in line to get them. It was a 7:30 showing. We arrived at 7:15, quickly bought our food and went in with minimal wait time before previews. Life's too short to stand around in lines. As for the theater, the seats are leather with wide arm rests, and you have a lot of leg room. The sound and video were great. Update: We tried out the VIP section for Catching Fire tonight. Very comfy seats. I recommend showing up 15 minutes or more earlier to make sure you can take advantage of waiter service. Otherwise, you can still order food at the counter, but get a buzzer (understandable.) I had a 4 ounce burger and fries for $7.50, and they were restaurant quality. We didn't go to the bistro, but it was lovely and there was a fire pit on the balcony overlooking the ice rink and fountain.

I've now been to see three movies at Village Cinema, once with VIP seating, once in D-Box seats, and once in "general population". At the very least if you don't go with VIP, definitely do NOT choose any of the seats in the first four rows. I thought there must be a mistake with Fandango, the online order app/site for ticketing, so we went ahead and decided to buy tickets at the box office. Turns out the app was right and seating was truly that limited. We even adjusted to a later show and *still* got stuck in the Crick'a'Neck row 4 nearest the screen. The couple next to us actually left to change their tickets, it was so bad and I had a sore neck the rest of the evening from craning at such an odd angle to even try to see the screen. I do highly recommend ordering tix online if you're like me and like to take a minute to decide all the pros & cons of a particular seating spot & don't want to feel the 35 other folks lined up behind you waiting breathing down your neck (not really but still). The pressure! There is also a self- serve kiosk for ticketing right next to the Box Office desk and the employee recommended to me not to bother with it. He said if you're right there you may as well get in line for all the trouble the kiosk seems to give others VIP seating was nice, as mentioned by other reviews the seats are wide and comfortable and the food service if you arrive early enough is available beyond standard movie food. The husband and I each got a meal and dessert, and while I no longer remember what exactly we had, that's because it wasn't really memorable other than for cost, which was far too high for the quality. We decided in the future we would be more likely to take advantage of one of the many restaurants IN the Village and forego the theater eats. We actually went to Kona Grill right across the way from the theater the second time and had some amazing food for less than the Cinema charged. However, if you're wanting an awesome view, seats that you can comfortably relax in and to be absolutely assured that you won't have to be near the teens who insist on talking, laughing loudly and texting with their screens on maximum brightness around you, it's the way to go even at an up charge. The concessions sell the usuals plus an assortment of baked goods, smaller hot foods such as soft pretzels and pizza, and be advised if you're a hardcore Coke fan, they only serve Pepsi products for drinks. They do offer frou frou coffee but the machine wasn't in service the time I wanted some. The D-Box seats are just like they feel in the "Try It" spot in the lobby where you can see a trailer shownthat also uses the seats to show two viewers how they work. I saw Denzel's The Equalizer for that seating and it wasn't probably the best movie for the seats but fun nevertheless. I'd recommend a real action flick or maybe flying/military style movie for the best use of D-Box. All in all, for the movie theaters currently available in Boise, Village Cinema certainly offers the widest range of seating, food, and the best picture/sound quality - this is now our go to cinema.

Far better experience than Edwards. They have the most up to date setup including Dolby atmos and D-box. They have reserved seating and even an in theater bar & grill for the balcony seating. The Fandango app makes reserving the seat you want especially easy and the theater is conveniently located directly next to lots of good food. They have by far the nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in a movie theater too. Very clean and modern with music that is distinctly different than the outside. Little things that just make it better. This is also the first movie theater in boise I've noticed an entire coffee bar in. Pricing is average for a theater however beer and food for the balcony seats are typical of most of the surrounding restaurants. I rarely go anywhere else now.

Probably won't do VIP level expecting something great. We wanted the full experience the village cinema provided. Let me first start with the environment. The cinema is quite beautiful and well laid out. So far it looks clean and not dated, as one would expect from a new place. The theater was roomy, and the chairs were wide and comfortable. The backs of the chairs reclined back pretty far. For the VIP, the shared armrest is wide enough to set a plate on it. We arrived 30 min early as recommended by the cinema. Well the theater was not ready for customers yet as they were still cleaning. This didn't start good. I shrugged this off though and moved on. Next let me talk about the food. There is nothing special to eat. I tried the loaded nachos with pulled pork, the result is I think I can have better nachos at a rodeo or state fair. They were bad, and to make it worse the price was around $11. The service is not good either, the staff is inexperienced and still learning the ropes on how to coordinate a meal with the movie. I felt like they were disorganized most the time. Summary. It is only worth going if you want a beer with your movie. I do not recommend ordering food. Just stick with the traditional dinner and a movie date night, that way you get the food you want at a good price.

The theatre is stunning. We decided to catch dinner and movie. The ticket order process yesterday ( Friday ) was simple and easy, but are some things to note: there's only one unisex bathroom in the lobby. There's a restroom upstairs and behind the bored ticket checker person. The coffee was cold from the counter. Inside auditorium 12, the room is 2 small for the screen. The seats are like Southwest airplane seats, leather and skinny. When someone sits next to you, you hear their chewing and smell their breathe. We heard several people belch during the movie. If all the auditoriums are like this. I'll drive to Edwards and pay more or less so I won't have to listen, hear or smell the body functions.

I love going to this theater! The reserved seating is so convenient and the seating itself is super comfy. When we go I always upgrade to the VIP lounge. The food is really good and it's just more comfy. My only negative comment is in regards to the DBox seats. They are cool but no where near $8 extra cool.

I am currently sitting in a dark theater...and have been here for thirty minutes waiting for the movie to resume. Halfway through the biggest action sequence in the Hobbit, the picture cut off and we had to listen to a pivotal scene- with audio only. Way to ruin it, theater. It took three of us to get up and complain loudly to get anything done- but only after 10 more minutes of in-the-dark waiting did a manager come in and apologize. We are still waiting and we just overheard the managers saying that they can't fix it. Now we get to leave the theater without knowing how it ends. Still no official announcement. Way to go, loser theater of the world, I won't be back. DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice place. Food/beverages are a big plus. Agree that it is much better than a regular theatre. Seats have some ergonomic mysteries...really short seats...very odd...wish they were more like the theatre over on Overland out in Meridian.

Great place! Super comfy seating, stadium of course. We even lost something in there and later had it returned to us from their lost and found. Awesome!

Great theatre always clean and helpful staff. We love their $5 movies nights on Tuesdays. Their concessions are decent and parking is easy. The village in general is a great place to go and walk around. Beautiful!

My wife and I did the VIP seating which was nice. The seats were pretty comfortable and very spacious. The big perk to the VIP seating is that there is a concession stand specifically for that area. Now let me clarify, this concession stand is not your traditional popcorn, soda and candy, it has a full menu for food, deserts (we had the flowerless chocolate cake) and adult beverages. I don't know how the food is because we ate prior to the show but the cake and drinks were not bad. If you show up 30 prior to the movie there are waiters that will serve you but this is not something I tried as we showed up about 5 minuets before the movie started. We were comfortable showing us so close to the start of the movies and confident in still having a good seat because this theater allow you to pick you seating on line, much like choosing your airline seat. All in all this is a pretty cool theater and has a lot of really cool perks that are above and beyond a traditional theater experience.

If your main concern is eating gelato on a plush vinyl chair, Village Cinema is fine, but if you care about the movie you're seeing go somewhere else. Whatever projectors Village Cinema is using are the worst I've seen in the valley. You can see pixelation on the screen during the movie and I've had movies freeze on more than occasion.

We love this theatre. It's comfy and I like not having to get there super early to get a seat for popular shows. The coffee bar made me a delicious treat and I've been able to take in food from other Village restaurants no problem. We go once a week!

This is a case of a great business concept that fails because they are unable to execute it. Take for example the idea of reserving seats ahead of time. This idea is solid gold. However, getting to the theater and finding people in your seats and having to kick them out ruins the whole concept. What made the whole thing so unpleasant, was I don't think they got the memo about reserved seats. They acted all put off an angry like I was the one being a jerk and kept giving us dirty looks for the rest of the evening. It put me on edge for the rest of the night. Another failure to execute came at the concessions. After a lengthy wait in line, I ordered two pizzas. I was directed to a second line where after another lengthy wait, I told a young lady that I had ordered two pizzas. She proceeded to cook them for me in a microwave while----you guessed it, I waited. This took way to much time. It's a good thing I had reserved seats, otherwise I probably would've had to sit in the lobby. When you order a pizza at Edwards, they ask what theater you are in and give you a card. 10 minutes later they bring the pizza in and deliver it to you in your seat. That is execution! The seats were comfortable. However, they're very narrow and may not be comfortable for people who are large. Finally the parking was atrocious we had to park near Eagle road and walk a quarter of a mile to get to the theater. I think that I will be waiting another six months before I go back to this theater. Hopefully by then, they will be able to execute their business concept better.

The complex itself is the nicest thing to come to meridian. Our gripe is with the VIP food service in the theater. The food is just terrible! Not to mention that you only get to order one drink.

We were very disappointed. We ate the food from the bistro while we watched a movie. So, I can't say that it was exactly the same as the restaurant, but they bill it as being the same. Most of our dishes were just poor (probably 2 star quality considering the price). But the quesadilla appetizer was borderline insulting. We ordered the loaded quesadillas (paying for the extra toppings). There was one tablespoon scoop of sour cream, one tablespoon of salsa, one tablespoon of guacamole and a microscopic amount of cheese and 5 or 6 large tortilla wedges. We were just incredulous. There were enough toppings for maybe two wedges if you parsed it out carefully. That dish was so poor and so reflective of a disregard for the diner that it brought the 2 star rating down to one. By the way, this is my first one star yelp review. We are typically fairly forgiving diners, but I felt that this was an especially bad experience and deserving of my new record low.

Best price in the valley for a first run matinee movie. VIP seating is so so. Dont sit in the corners . Over all. Good experience.

Liked how I can reserve a seat in the theater. Seats were a mixed review.. For some reason the seat cushions felt smaller than other theaters...But the arm rest were wider.. Cushions were a little on the hard side but still comfortable. Haven't tried their d box seats but they look like they may add to the experience. Sound was very good.

Date night for the first time in forever with my wife...sorta forgot her name it's been that long since we've been out. We did dinner at Kona Grill, which is also a decent place, and moseyed over to the Village Cinema for a drink and to watch Agent 47 (her pick) in the "VIP" area where you can have a big kid drink while you watch the show. As far as theaters go, the place is nice. Clean, bright, sorta upscale in the common area. Nice comfy bar stools, etc. The standout was the huckleberry collins (no, I'm not a sorority girl, it was happy hour, and it was actually pretty good) and the service by the bartenders. We had a drink a the bar, brought a second with us to our seats, and ordered some popcorn for the show in the VIP area. The popcorn was better than a discount theater, but nothing to write home about. The server was great, and the sound and movie experience were all up to par. The only nitpick was about seating. In other 'eat in the theater' places, there are tables in front of you. At the village, there are wide arms between the seats and that's it. So you end up feeling like you're on the other side of the couch form your date, fumbling to share the popcorn. Not horrible, but just a little off. It made me wonder how people would go about eating a burger or nachos or an actual meal there, and not just something they could pass back and forth with one hand. All in all, not bad. We'll be back someday for date night (hopefully before 2017...)

Move over ArcLight Cinemas - Village Cinema is the new king of the luxury movie theaters. Yes, I'm also looking at you too iPic Cinemas. Village Cinemas is next to Boise over in Meridian. Me and my GF wanted to check out Mission impossible: Rogue Nation and Village had what we needed. They have a VIP 21+ section and the film was presented in Dolby ATMOS. The screen was 60 feet, as well. They have tons of food options ranging from gourmet popcorn to gelato to bacon mac and cheese. The seats in the VIP section are comfortable as hell and they have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. They also feature a prime viewing distance and position. We had already had lunch, so we did not have any food from the theater but the rest of the amenities more than made up for it. I looked them up and they only have theaters in Idaho and Northern California. Here's hoping they open one up in Southern California sometime soon. The VIP section only holds 71 people and you can get tickets through fandago. The prices are $9, so on that alone, they beat ArcLight by a mile. Hell, even with the added service charge they beat them by a mile. They also have a restaurant called the Backstage Bistro. Again, we didn't eat here either. The style of the movie theater reminded me of the theater over at The Grove of Los Angeles. It looks like something out of a 1940's flick. They have huge chandeliers and the ceilings are tall! I love you Village Cinemas!

First time there and entrance wasn't easily found from south parking lot.Had to ask where to find it. A friendly sign would be helpful. Once in 45 min early with 3 grandkids was told it was sold out. Started to leave when lady said "oh wait here's 4 seats". Got in and noticed majority of people sent to one section and not even half full by end of movie. Company needs to reevaluate seating procedures or lose money. Almost lost my $60.00 I ended spending there..that adds up if done on regular basis.Disgruntled employee?? Movie was great other than having to sit by everyone with babies and toddlers crying in one section . .

Admittedly, I've only been here once and I wasn't terribly impressed. My favorite aspect of this theater is the decor. They obviously went for a more "Hollywood" look to the place and pulled it off rather well. The lobby area is very nice. The assigned seating when purchasing tickets seemed like a decent notion but while waiting for the film to start I heard at least three different people complain about getting their seats taken. I get that this is a problem caused by customers but what's the point of selling specific seats if you're not going to do anything to enforce it? The seating in the regular area isn't terribly spacious so taller people won't have very much leg room. Otherwise, there was nothing to really differentiate this theater from any other. Ticket prices aren't any cheaper and concessions are just as overpriced as everywhere else.

I can't say enough about how nice it is to watch a movie here, love love love it!!! The seats that move are like a massage at the cinema and they always have the best movies playing.

Went to see Hunger Games: Catching Fire for the premiere, and took advantage of the VIP level. Really love the feature of pre-selecting seats, and also the in-theater dining for the VIP level. Extremely impressed with the visual and sound quality of the movie, the seating was clean and comfortable, and the entire ambience was just top notch. Props to John, the restaurant/VIP level manager, who took the time to recommend dishes to us and wait on us personally, and then sought us out after the show to get our opinions. Service staff was excellent the whole time. Much better than spending $10 to go to a regular theater, sit in dirty uncomfortable chairs with sticky stuff on the bottom of your shoes, and don't get half the quality of this experience. Only a few bucks more, well worth it! We will be back often!

Beautiful theater. Obviously a ton of money to make it look that way. Was thrilled about being able to order my tickets from Fandango early on and get awesome seats. Didn't worry about being late. I couldn't figure out why the lines were so short yet moved so slowly. Now I know it was because every customer was standing there picking out their seats.Butter on the popcorn had a very good taste and we snarfed it right down. Screen was more square than rectangular. (Theater 8) But once the movie started I didn't really notice as the picture resolution was awesome. Wish I had ordered seats in the very back row, as I felt like I was too close to the screen because there weren't very many seats in the theater. I would have preferred a larger audience. I didn't fit in the seat. It was pretty, it looked like leather, there was lots of feet space, but I didn't fit. I could barely bring the armrests down and felt like I was trapped. The location on the armrest where the drink goes was way back, so it was a pain to have to keep turning sideways to take a sip. The multiple thundering Dolby Atmos speakers were SO loud that I had to yell to talk to the person in the seat next to mine during the movie. My son with sensitive ears would probably have to wear ear plugs. It could have been the acoustics of the theater that made it seem louder than it should have been. Plus one of the speakers on the right was making a weird sound that was very annoying. We walked out of our theater and the acoustics again made the sound of everyone in the lobby talking sound louder than they were. We couldn't wait to get out the front doors.

WORST! THEATER! EVER! Don't be fooled by the fancy environment in which this theater was placed. Or by having their own coffee bar or their comfortable seats. Screw The Village Theater! They force you to select your seating when buying your ticket. Last time I checked this was America and I'm gonna sit where ever I damn well please! What if you're meeting someone at the theater? Chances are you aren't going to sit next to each other. "Hey Kevin, I'm at the theater. Wanna meet me here?" "Sure. Save me a seat. I'll be there in ten minutes." "Yeah about that... I can't save you a seat here. They restrict you from doing that, so you'll have to sit by yourself." "What? Are you serious?" "Yup, some guy already bought that seat so you're outta luck. But there's plenty of other seats for you." Plus if you're going with a group of friends you'll either have to have one person buy all the tickets or just all huddle around their little screen to make sure you all select the right seats. I know I'll never be coming back to this theater. Call me old fashioned but I like walking into a theater and seeing the seats before deciding where I sit. I didn't want to give it stars at all but I figure if they see 3 then maybe they won't delete it again haha. So I guess one star can be for having gelato. The other two stars can be for looking fancy.

Very nice theater. Spent a little extra to sit in the VIP and ordered some food. Food was good (had a panini) and the secluded balcony was good too. Not sure id spend the extra money to sit in the VIP again though. Really like the aspect of choosing your own seat. All in all, just another theater, but the food/alcohol/VIP options give you a few more options.

I've been to a lot of movie theaters in several states and this is by far one of the nicest! There's no other way I'd rather go to the movies than the VIP 21+ experience. If you have no tried the adult section leave your kids at home and go for a date night. The food is great and they come right to your seat and take your order. It is well worth the additional $2. Some foods are easier to eat than others (especially in the dark). My favorite thing to order is the brownie dessert! I believe it is only $6 which is less than most movie theaters charge for a popcorn. They also serve adult beverages I've only had one bad experience with this. For the most part I'd rather sit next to a buzzed adult than a bunch of teenagers. Another nice feature at this theater is that you get to choose your seats in advance. For picky people like myself this is a huge plus! I don't have to stress over the fact that if my server doesn't hurry up I won't get there 30 min early to save a seat... It will just be there waiting for me. They also have the special effects seating that we've tried but I still prefer to sit in the adult section. I also believe that this is the only theater serving Pepsi products (my fave) and AMAZING gelato as well as Dawson Taylor Coffee.

This theater... This one cinematic venue... This is the reason I'm tempted to move away from Los Angeles and to the apartment complex next door to The Village. Five dollars for a movie ticket on Tuesday!!! Five!!!! My money is worth something here! And not only that; this is a quality movie theater. It's a clean, well staffed venue, and there are VIP seats where you can order food and drinks. This theater nailed it, NAILED it. There hasn't been a single technical issue. I don't have a single complaint about this place. The surrounding Village is beautiful at night, bring a date! Bring all your dates! Don't bring my date! I will fight you! We'll fight!!! Back off my girl!!!

A nice, clean, modern movie theater with an option to get VIP 21+ balcony seating and in your chair food ordering/delivery for only $2 more, with reserved seats to boot?? Where do I sign? The theater is already beautiful on its own but the VIP experience takes movie going up about 5 notches. The seats are super comfortable, wider than normal seats and have a cup holder and a nice wide part on the arm to put your food (which can also hook into the cup holder and rest comfortably on your lap). They have a great full menu of just about any food and dessert options you could want, plus the staples like popcorn, candy and soda. I love that they had Wild Cherry Pepsi! The staff was also super friendly and this was probably the most pleasant movie experience I've ever had, especially for only $12. The theater is set back a little so street parking, if you can find it, is the closest. They have restrooms a' plenty too so you don't have to walk halfway across the theater to take care of business. If I lived in Boise I think I would go broke going to this theater all the time! Well done Village Cinema!

I've been going to the village cinema since its launch. I've been very happy with the theater and it's business model. Village Cinema offers seat selection so you'll know exactly where you'll be seated before even getting into the room. This removes stress from ordering concessions and if you pre purchase online it gives a great sense of comfort. Several times I've had customers in my purchased seats. I won't mark off the cinema for the complete lack of respect these people have, but that can be a downside. It creates an awkward situation and I personally don't give up my seats. I now also only sit Vip. The larger seats. Better viewing angle and drink selection is unbeatable. I have had issues with people thinking this is their living room and holding conversations. Just because it's a smaller section doesn't give you the right to talk! They also offer $5 Tuesday movies. Can't beat that price. Hopefully I'll see you at the cinema.

We typically have good luck at this theater. We like the ability to reserve our seats. Tonight was an exception. Granted it was their slow night (Sunday at 9:15 pm). They simply didn't have enough trained employees to handle the eight customers at the ticket counter. One incorrect credit card transaction stopped anyone else from getting their tickets. If the kiosk had been working, it would have been helpful.

What a nice experience! Not sure what more I could add that the legion of other 5-star reviewers haven't already said, so I'll be brief: - Gorgeous appointments inside - Giant Dolby screens available - Uber-comfortable seating with wide arm-rests and some reclining - Tastiest movie popcorn I've ever had! - Free drink refills on the large soda -- although you'd need six people to drink one Our movie (trailers) started about 10 minutes after the stated start time of the movie. I was a little bit glad because it was our first visit here and we drove all around the village trying to figure out how to get in and where to park. Looking forward to next time when I'll try the gelato or maybe a cupcake.

One of the more screwed up systems to buy tickets in person. The need to prepick seats slows the whole Cluster F. process down The ONE electronic kiosk was also overwhelmed. Couldn't have two? And I'll be dammed to pay a 37% Fandango surcharge to do it on line. Won't be using this mode of movie viewing or this theater. Certainly makes TV streaming more attractive and cheaper to boot.

We have sat in the VIP seating a few times before but this last time we went was the first time we ordered food from our seats. The food is pricey, came in very small portions, and the "wait staff" never came back after food was dropped off. They could have checked on us to see if we needed a refill, wanted dessert, if we were enjoying our food like a normal dining establishment would have, but NOPE they didn't. Just dumped and ran. Even after we left a large tip. Next time we'll eat elsewhere.

This theater rocks! I don't get the opportunity to go to the movies often, let alone to see a grown up movie without kids; so when doing so I really do hope to have a really great experience. I was not disappointed. It is very clean and nicely decorated. The employees are all very friendly. Seats are comfortable and roomy. I have visited this theater twice now, in the last couple of months. The first time around was with my husband and our two boys. So it was definitely more of the traditional general admission, popcorn and drink gig. Which was fine, except I didn't realize we could reserve our seats ahead of time and got neck breaking seats. Not the theater's fault. So that's a tip to you, you pick the seats you are going to sit in ahead of time. So either arrive early, pick them and go walk around the village for awhile and come back. OR as I experimented with on the second go around, go online ahead of time (Fandango) and ordered them. On the second go around, I splurged on the VIP seating above. 21 and over only, which is really nice when you are on an official date night with the hubby. You get this nice little love seats and if you arrive at least 30 minutes early, there is a wait staff that will bring you food, drinks (real 21 and over drinks) and dessert. The menu is based off of the restaurant in the theater, so it does extend beyond the general move fair. We ate dinner beforehand, but did get a piece of the chocolate torte. Which was delicious! I did order my tickets online, the morning of the day we went. Which was a good call, because it was the opening weekend for the movie and the place was packed! The sound was great, move screen was HUGE and I had a very clear, unobstructed view. Unbeknownst to me, VIP level seating is current on special at general admission pricing. So that was a nice bonus! So $10 instead of $13, which honestly I don't really think $13 is outrageous for a date night. But maybe for a regular occurrence. As we left, the employees waived and told us to have a great night. Almost like when you depart an airplane and the flight attendants are telling goodbye. Loved it!

Sat up in the balcony in the VIP21+ section. First of all - the movie screen is set too low for the height of the railing. If one leans back in their chair, or isn't tall enough in the first place despite sitting up straight, the screen in its entirety cannot be seen. Second - "heat rises" was the explanation given by our server as to why it was so hot in the balcony. Ummmmm ok. Third - draft beer selection was limited and your beer comes in a plastic cup. How very sporting event ish. An Alamo Drafthouse franchise would crush this place out of business. At least the movie we saw was great!

The design of the Auditoriums are barbaric. Everything feels so squeezed in and the only good seats in my opinion or the ones in the clear back (not VIP seating). Other seats you literally have to crank your neck to see the movie. This cinema does not compare to Edwards theater across town. Even though this cinema is closer, I'd rather not frequent it.

We have been back and seems they have worked out some of bugs. 5 Stars. And the dollar movie on wed and thursdays great deal.

I would give it zero stars but that's not an option! The worst security staff in the business! And the night manager, Edward was such an arrogant jerk too!zero costumer service skills!

We sat in the bistro section of the theater. It was great. The food was good and a decent price. The chairs are large and comfortable and there is lots of leg room. This is a great way to watch a movie.

A very nice, clean, new theater. We loved the idea that tickets can be prepurchased online with assigned seating. We figured this would save us from having to arrive early to get a good seat. Not so. We entered the theatre looking for a kiosk or something to print out our tickets, but they were all out of order. So we waited in the very long line to get our tickets anyway. Then we discovered they'd put us in VIP seating, which is for 21 and up, and doesn't work for my 10 year old. So we waited in the very long line...again...to have our seats changed. By the time we got to the front of the line, the only tickets they had available were for the front row. Grrrr. Okay, fine. We took the front row seats. We entered the theatre to find our seats (the movie having already started by this time), only to discover someone else sitting in our seats. We had to ask them to move and the whole process disturbed everyone in our vicinity. IF they can get it to work, the pre-purchased, pre-assigned seating is a great idea. But it didn't work for us on that day, and I think we'll stick with the Edward's theater down the road.

VIP seating is where it's at if you're on a date, or just want more room to stretch out. Best part of the theater is $5 Tuesdays, which is the best time to take the kids to see the new movies in the big theater. Service is always fast in the ticket line and the facility is clean. This is my theater of choice over Edwards or any other big ticket theater. Perfect area for dinner and a movie, or watching the fountain show.

This is my new favorite theater in the Treasure Valley. I plan to go to this theater exclusively from now on. The selling points: a VIP section with larger seats, waiters, a full bar, separate bathroom, and great view of the screen. (They do need to work on the quality of their mixed drinks though--my husband's Manhattan was terrible.) Very clean, and modern look. Comfy places to sit. A bar/restaurant where you can meet friends before or after the movie.

If I may ask...what is the purpose of a movie theater?? Yes, to SHOW MOVIES. Doesn't matter to me if you have the plushest seats, best popcorn or a 5 star restaurant...your main job as a movie theater is to show the movies. So today was my 4th trip to the Village Cinema to see a movie and now the SECOND trip which has ended with a frozen screen and failed movie viewing experience. This time after waiting ten minutes, decided enough was enough and my son and I walked out of Transformers without any offer to make it right, money refunded, etc. When you have failed to show me a movie on 50% of the trips there, I think you have failed as a movie theater. Enjoy the Village very much, but will enjoy my movies elsewhere thank you very much.

Great theater but I can't eat the popcorn because it's super salty. The last time I was there I had to get a refund because there was so much salt it was inedible.

This is an exceptional theater. It is beautiful, clean, possesses state of the art sound and visual displays, and has luxurious second story seating above the rif raf down below if you pay the extra $2. Best you'll spend. There is not a lot of mall-ratters here, either, which is a big plus. Honestly, if you can't give this theater five stars, you can't give five stars to any theater. The food you order upstairs so quite good on its own. The Mac and cheese is excellent and we ordered a burger that was forgettable but good, especially for a movie theater. Pay the extra to have bacon added to the mac and cheese. This is the only theater five star review I will give in the whole state of idaho. Everywhere else get 2-3 stars.

Very nice theater - definitely on the fancy side. Seats were pretty comfortable, sound on movies was good, food from the concession stand is decent though priced just as high as other theaters. I didn't try the food from the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. The one thing I don't like about this theater is that you have to purchase all of the tickets for your group at one time or you won't be able to get seats together since it is assigned seating. You almost can't ever just show up and buy tickets as any seats that might be together are usually already sold out. Frustrating to say the least, but overall a good experience at this theater.

The theater itself is lovely. The seats are comfy. The popcorn is buttery. You save your own seats making arriving late convenient. And they have a coffee bar. Cool. I'm down. But the awful, unhelpful, arrogant (short, red-headed) manager I dealt with one afternoon made me so angry and disappointed in the Village Cinema that I can't foresee myself frequenting this theater. I'm disappointed that his terrible leadership is the example of customer service that his staff gets. I'm disappointed that someone appointed him to be a role model to young staff at all. I'm disappointed that he has to be the face of this beautiful new theater. I'm not hoping he gets fired, but I certainly don't think this represents the company's best interest. Hopefully he was just having a terrible day. Hopefully his goldfish just died and that was why he was so rude and pompous and wasted a ton of my time and never apologized for the several mistakes he made (or for wasting my time). Hopefully it was just an off-day. I'll cross my fingers.

I really like this theatre. The VIP seating was very comfy. The one complaint I have about it is. there was a hand rail in between me and the screen it didn't really block my vision of the movie but was just a pain to look at. The mixed drinks were a bit pricey but I'm used to cheap drinks so I didn't mind. Very nice place though.

To quote my wife, "This is the best theatre I've ever been in!". Which I most definitely agree! We had to rush to the theatre due to our movie time and a prior engagement taking too long. Prior engagement meaning playing Munchkin with friends. Look it up. ;) Anyways... Sidetracked... I was blown away by the looks of this theatre. Marble richness everywhere. And what the poop! $10 tickets? Bloody awesome! (Been in Cali the past few yrs... Dunno if that's the norm here.) Also saw that Tuesday is $5 tickets. Heck yeah! *wild fist pumps* It was kinda odd though since I had to choose our seating at the counter. Recommend the 15 area and closer to the back within the normal seating. There's a balcony seating in which you have to pay a little more and then VIP seating in which you pay a little more than a little more. Despite our tardiness we got some food to munch on. It took a little while but kinda expected when yer dumb enough to get pizza. Which was actually pretty good. Wife got gelato and so far has been the best gelato I've tasted in Idaho. So kudos! (Check out DeVine if you're ever in Sacramento, CA. The best gosh dang gelato in the world!) The screening room seats were positioned so that the person in front of you couldn't possibly interfere with your viewing experience unless they held their screaming baby up over their head like Rafiki in Lion King... Which kinda, sorta, not really happened to us... But seriously... The seats were legit. Extremely comfortable. Allowed a lot of leniency to recline back. Coulda rocked myself to sleep if I wasn't watching something incredibly awesome on an incredibly sick screen with an incredibly sick sound! There were also plenty of room in between seats so if someone with a weak bladder needs to pass by you dun need to pull yer legs up like a chump. Like at all. But you will anyway cuz you're accommodating like that. :) Anyways... Great experience and great theatre! Bringing all my friends here!

The first thing to note is what stands out the most about the Village Cinema; the quality of the venue. It's a beautifully designed building and its apparent how much they spent on the whole Village project. A great new look for Boise and That's the positive. Unfortunately that's virtually where the positive side of things end. We took advantage of the VIP seats in order to take part in the food and alcohol. The food offerings at first glance seemed to be extensive, especially for a movie theater but upon further inspection is not much more than a few apps and overpriced "entrees". I ordered the Salmon Panini and my wife the Mac and Cheese w/bacon. The panini wasn't bad taste-wise, just a little small for me. Overall good taste, but definitely not an entree as the menu indicated. Also, no sides were included with this full priced "entree". The Mac and Cheese arrived and my wife noticed it was cold. Very Cold. Being that it's a movie theater there wasn't much of a wait staff to come and check on how everything was, so common to most food serving venues. This led me to have to leave the theater to find an employee to attempt to have my wife's dish reheated at the very least. Their microwave must have been malfunctioning that night because upon re-arrival the mac and cheese was still cold. Not a great first impression and after spending $70+ on a movie with cold entrees that were actually appetizers and overpriced alcohol, it seemed 2 stars is all The Village Cinema deserved.
