If you haven't been here in a while then I suggest you try it again. The owners have gone away from the pie hole franchise and now it's called SLICES. The place it's self didn't really change much but but I feel the pizza is a little better quality then piehole. The atmosphere is definitely nicer and cleaner and they have a roof top seating also which is nice.. for the price and quality it is definitely one of my top choices for pizza in meridian.. will be going back again and again for sure...

Went into new location. They have a sausage sandwich. I attempted to order and was told they didn't have some of the ingredients All this left was pizza which we ordered a couple of slices. The pizza was not flavorful and very greasy Why list something on the menu you can't or don't want to make?

Pizza by the slice. Very responsible priced. I don't seem to get very good service at pie hole. In fact my kids think it's kind of funny. Tonight was no different. My first question to the not so freindly pizza guy was.. What is a cheaper way to go by the slice or a whole pizza pie? Answer "I have no idea I don't do math". My second question was.. Will there be more pizzas coming out to choose from tonight? And the answer was... " Nope this is it for the night that's how we do it". So my 9 year old sons says dad just get us some cheese pizza "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. So we ate our pizza in the not so clean pizza place and as we are leaving all the kids say " Dad we really like this pizza we need to eat here more offen". So there you go. The kids really like the thin crust pizza and I will just go with the flow....

Yummy pizza, friendly staff. Normally I go to the 8th street location. Happened to stop in to the meridian store today and the pie did not disappoint! Go for the potato bacon, it's outstanding.

We are from out of town and wanted good pizza. So we came to the pie hole. It has original specialty pizzas, that are unique and delicious. We ordered two pizzas both half and half. Potato bacon, pretty pretty princess, Canadian bacon and pineapple, and meat lovers. Yum! So good!

$7 for two slices of yummy pizza & drink complete with a rooftop view! Good flavor a bit greasy but in a good way. I like the crust! Open late! Fast & friendly service! Good deal!

If you're a fan of delicious, thin crust pizza with a fun and creative choice of toppings, this is your place. In the one year that I've lived in Meridian, I frequented this joint enough to fill-up my "buy nine slices, get the 10th one free" card, and I'm now working on my second. And while I don't exactly have a table with my name on it here, I think that I've at least visited Pie Hole enough to confidently give it a "highly recommend going" endorsement. More often than not, I show up for a late lunch. No lines. No waiting. Plenty of time to read the writing on the wall... no, seriously. People write on the wall. Anyway, this is Idaho, so finding that one of their most popular specialty pizzas has potatoes on it, no surprise. They usually have about a 4 to 6 ready-made specialty pies available. The counter service is fast and friendly. One exception to the normally good service, however, was a few visits ago when I came in around 2 pm on a weekday, and I stood at the counter (in plain sight of the employee) for at least a good 30 seconds before she acknowledged that I was there. Why? Because she was so enthralled with texting, or finishing her game of Candy Crush, or whatever it was on her phone that was more important than work. But to end on a good note, I live a low carb lifestyle, and that means that of the very small amount of starchy carbohydrates that I do consume, potatoes and especially breads are not even on my radar, except on my built in "cheat" days. So to say that this is one of two pizza joints in the greater Boise area that I'll consider cheating for... well, that should account for something.

Horrible customer service, they just changed their name and were advertising a $1 promo, we were treated like crap because we wanted the promo price. Also very very very greasy, pizza had no flavor.

So I just had dinner here. I actually let yelp decide where I would go. It's your typical divey pizza place. Looks like it's big with the kids. What kid doesn't like pizza though? The two employees seemed to be stoned and wearing tie dye clothing. How stereotypical lol I ordered the pizza by the slice that was on the counter, cold. He put them in the oven and served then hot. I think I made a mistake because I'm not feeling very good. I don't know if it was the grease or old slices but my gut isn't sitting well. Not recommended.

Great pizza and great customer service. Affordable and close to the house. We are here 2 weeks ago on a Friday night. Very much a hippy type vibe which we liked.

I am only giving this a third star because they always have pizza ready. Besides that, the pizza is thin, not filling and over priced. Often it tastes old and is way to greasy. I recommend flying pie or Idaho Pizza Co.

Yummy! I am from New Jersey where we have a plethora of authentic delicious italian pizza and Finding that in Idaho has been a challenge, this isn't my favorite place to go but the pizza is very good, prices are decent and its close to home.

Just left the pie hole after waiting over an hour to get our pizza. The table next to us that came in 20 minutes after we did got their pizza 20 minutes before we did. Service was terrible. Now I know why they have you pay in advance and tip in advance. I did ask for my tip back.

Ordered two pizzas and a meatball sub. The Potato & Bacon pizza was something new to try. And it turned out it is something worth having again. The meat ball sub was one if the best I have had in a long time. If I based the rating on the sub alone it would be five stars for sure. Oh, mine was to go but the wait time was shorter than I expected.

The food is great, but when you are talking phone orders it's crucial. Don't put the new guy in the phone. Not only did I have to repeat it 4 times, but when I got there after 40min total it was still wrong. :(

I stopped in today to have a slice. After all the rave reviews I guess I had my hopes up way too high. I bought two slices, one cheese, the other potato and bacon. The girl behind the counter was very nice and she told me she had only been there for a couple of weeks. The place gets a star for this as customer service is a rarity. They had a good variety but the slices looked as if they had been sitting out a while but the girl behind the counter said they had made them within the last 1/2 hour. Okay.. so in went the slices into the oven. When they gave me the slices they put both on one really thin paper plate and piled one on top of each other. Now, these slices are huge and by huge I mean really, really huge! One thin paper plate won't hold the weight for two of these. I asked for another plate and the girl kindly obliged. The pizza's were hot (well, they did just get re-heated in the oven) but they were really greasy. The cheese slice was tasteless. I had to put some of the hot pepper on it to get any flavor at all. Plus, the crust was limp and soggy. I only hoped the other slice would fare better. It did, but not by much. The dough on the potato and bacon slice had the same consistency but at least it tasted better. The combination was actually pretty good and I never thought it would taste good on a pizza. One of the stars is for the creativity of a unique tasting slice. While I was eating the second slice, I looked up and one of the employees (a young guy with glasses) was standing near the pizza slices and was holding one of the tongs in his hand. These are the same tongs used to pick up the slices and full pies. He was tapping the tongs on his back and to make it worse (yes, it gets worse) he was wearing a tank top so the tongs were touching his skin! Eeewww! Yuck! He saw me looking at him and abruptly stopped what he was doing. I said, "You know you're going to have to wash that before you use it again". He said sheepishly, "Yeah, I know". There are health regulations that prohibit this sort of thing. I hope I don't get sick from eating there. I will never recommend them and I will never go back.

Decided to give this place a second chance because the pizza was good the first time I had it. We tried ordering online, on a Sunday, for delivery- bad idea. After an hour we called to check on the status of our order and we're told "it's Sunday and I am the only employee in the building so we don't check online orders or deliver." Awesome! We called "Smokey Mountain Pizza" instead. It was worse than Dominos. Instant regret. Last night we thought about giving them a second chance. We called and ordered for delivery. Nope, one employee working- no delivery. Maybe they shouldn't advertise online ordering and delivery??? As always, the pizza was good- thin, crispy crust...greasy, hot and delicious. I would give the food a 5 all day, but the service needs to be a focus if they want to have the business to need more than one employee. I would recommend the pizza, it's the closest thing to NY style pie in Idaho that I've found- just plan on CALLING and PICKING UP to save the headache. Rec

Pizza was very good only reason I'm giving this a 3 star is because customer service was horrible first I stood there for about 10 minutes before the dingy young blond stopped texting of her phone She then took my order then 40 minutes later i went and asked about my order they said it was accidental moved to the back.I asked to speak with the Manager and asked for a discount our a Pizza on the house which a good Manager would have done, he said he didn't have the power to give me a free Pizza he said he could give me 2 pieces that is not much of a manager and customer service out the window.

This is a tasty thin crust pizza! They use great ingredients and you can tell from the grease that melts off the cheese and pepperoni. Sauce is also perfectly matched. This is a great local business with super atmosphere.

I've been here several times and the pizza is always good. I like the wide selection at lunch time and the service. I walked in and a matter of minutes I had my pizza and eating away. They have a very unique selection. My last visit I had the potato one. I didn't know it was when I selected it but it was surprisingly good. The dining area on the roof was real cool also. Had a nice view of Meridian and a nice breeze. The temp outside was lower than normal. I imagine it wouldn't be that pleasant on real hot days. On those days I'd surely eat inside we're its cool.

I ate at the downtown location after a few drinks with friends and thought the pizza was amazing. Decided to bring my out of state family to the Meridian location for lunch...fail! Pizza tasted old and, even after taking it out of the oven, it wasn't heated properly and the dough was hard to bite through. No one in our party was impressed. Great prices, lousy pizza. Try it after a night of drinking...it might be better.

We were school shopping with the kids the other night, and wanted to dine outside. After walking out of Pie Hole last summer because their restaurant was so dang hot, I wanted to try their new location. Especially after seeing the cool rooftop dining! As we walked in, a young blonde girl behind the counter looked at us. No smile. No greeting. Snobbish comes to mind. The next thing I noticed was her choice of "clothes", which looked much more appropriate for a street corner. Of course I expected a very casual atmosphere and dress (much like Flying Pie), but even our daughters raised their eyebrows. Super short shorts. A t-shirt that had slices all over the back, which exposed way more of her pink bra than is fashionable. Looking at the menu, we read about the 2 slice special for happy hour, but could not find anything indicating when happy hour was. Having never been there before, it took us a bit to decide on dinner. The employee did not offer any help (ex. asking if this was our first visit, giving pizza suggestions, etc...). We finally decided on a pizza with a price that was hard to swallow. Ordering drinks was a bit difficult as well. It was hard to see what was available in the cooler, but were pleased with a bottle of brown and a can of IPA. The employee was profient taking our payment, utilizing an iPad with Square. We happily escaped to the roof, as the restaurant was warm - did not have air, or not utilizing AC? The roof was fun! Trex(?) decking, or at least the stairs. Metal seating was comfortable. Nice umbrellas and view. Though not open, there was a great bar with taps, which to us is much more preferable over bottled beer. 4 other people were seated, and only 3 others arrived after we did, so it was a quiet, casual atmosphere. Our pizza arrived quickly, and now we understood the price. 8 mega slices of thin crust pizza. A bit greasy, but very good! Near the end of our enjoyable evening on the roof, only our family and one other older couple remained. Suddenly, there was music. Rap music? The first song was mellow, but the second song drove us out. Here's where the caution comes... It was dark. Remember the nice stairs? Now they weren't as nice. All 4 of us had to step cautiously, as there was no light. Not overhead. Not on the steps. Huge risk for a company. We will be back for the pizza and rooftop dining, and hope to catch the bar open... and that it has a friendlier vibe than downstairs. I would have rated Pie Hole a 4, if it had not been for the tacky, lack of service.

Super awesome pizza. They gave me a free slice of the mozzarella pretzel and pepperoni they were testing out. The potato bacon is the best! I got two huge slices and two pbr's for $4.18. I would have paid 8-10$ for this. This place rules.
