Stopped into pendls specifically because of the yelp reviews. Latte-totally awesome Coconut German chocolate brownie-delicious Lunch-Be Aware!! Lunch is over at 2pm Sadly we missed lunch by 5 minutes, arriving at pendls at 2:05pm. The barista said the best she could do was cup of soup or pb & j. (Thus my 4 stars, as a former barista I really think she could've been a little more accommodating...) So recap- Lunch is over strictly at 2pm!! Enjoy it for me, because now I'll never get to!
I double dare you to pass through Driggs and not be tempted by a Pendl's pastry. Just look at those pictures and reviews. They are so accurate. Other than some minor frustration finding it based on the street address, we could not be more pleased. If you come in from Depot Street, it is hidden from view, a long narrow walkway aside a commercial building that leads into the Adventureland of Coffee and Sweet Treats. We discovered later there was more than one way in, a large parking lot on the backside if you enter from the next street over. The building is a cute little, bright red house, with an outside patio and doggie parking under the trees (that's what they call it because dogs are not invited into the eating areas, yes, even outside). Inside is a small counter, mostly with display cases filled to the gills with sweet and savory pastries and cookies. A childhood dream come true. And then there is the eye catching list of coffee drinks. The smiling girl at that counter will take good care of you, even if you have a husband who thinks he must try one of everything. Our breakfast consisted of sharing a spinach quiche (lovely crust), a ham and cheese filled pastry (quite flaky), two mocha lattes (smooth even with two shots of espresso), an apple strudel, and a few nibbles on a raspberry cream cheese pastry. We had to rent a small Hertz truck for the remainder of goodies we left with. I shall be needing a tailor by the end of this trip!
I'm officially addicted. Great food, but better yet...great people. Martha is super sweet...along with the pastries. Glad to make this part of my daily routine when I'm in town. You've missed a big part of Driggs if you didn't eat here.

My fave is the the asiago chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. Yum! It's a great lunch-time destination. The views are great. You can watch planes take off and land. Ask for a patio table on a nice day. Many years ago, we liked heading over for an evening meal and their happy hour specials. Today, skip dinner. For what you pay, the menu isn't worth it.
Love it! I go everytime I come to the Teton Valley!
Great place to kick back for lunch or dinner. If I lived here I might consider hanging at the bar for a drink after work.

Wonderful, creative food served next to the airport runway. While eating lunch we watched a couple small 4-sweaters take off and a glider land & be rolled to it's hangar. Went out of our way to eat lunch there & would do it again!
This is classy dining right out in the middle of a small airport, hidden by a nest of huge hangars, right in the middle of Idaho cow country, on the backside of the Grand Tetons. Not in the mood for a full dinner, we supped on appetizers, first oysters Rockefeller, then Caesar Salad, then onion soup. All highly recommended. The dinner rolls were quite special too. Dinner entree choices include rack of lamb, crab cakes, rib eye, chicken marsala, trout, pesto fettuccine. After tasting our excellent appetizers I have no doubt these are well done as well. They have a full bar. Mr B had his usual Long Island Tea. A good strong one. I didn't save room for dessert but you just never know when the need for a bite of key lime pie might come up. So naturally we had a slice boxed to go. I sneaked a bite and it was *so fine*! The interior is surprisingly attractive and modern classy. Brushed steel tables, a stone fireplace, comfy chairs, high ceilings, and big-big windows to watch the airplanes come and go, not to mention to enjoy the vast sky and magnificent sunset. The service is excellent as well. What a nice surprise to find such superb food in such a small town.
I've had both lunch and dinner several times and can't believe I've never posted a review. This place is a hidden gem with food that is consistently amazing. Both their regular menu and nightly specials are always wonderful. Fish is always fresh and perfect! Service is very good but definitely don't plan a meal and think it will be quick either. You have a view of the airport and on Fridays, live music (usually a one person show). The bar area is very nice especially since the remodel. They do have drink specials during that time. Usually a few dollars off but I can't remember exactly what they offer. Meals can be a bit pricey but sooo worth it. If it's your first visit, don't forget to walk around the museum; free and a very nice collection of vintage planes.

One of the best meals we've had in Easter Idaho. Super excellent service too! My husband and I split a Spiderman roll and it was absolutely phenomenal. Seriously. I got the bibimbap with tofu instead of beef and it was very very delicious. Their homemade kimchi and daikon are super great sides and complemented the bibimbap perfectly. We finish the meal with green tea mochi. *le sigh of happiness*
I had the bibimbap in a rock pot. I highly recommend this. Absolutely delicious. It came with miso soup, and an assortment of Korean vegetable sides, including kimchi. More than filling, and so good that you keep eating even after you are full. Possible to be split between two people. The restaurant was nice, and service was prompt. My meal was well worth the price.
This place throws it down! We have visited a number of times. Always get something different and have never been disappointed. The miso soup is very tasty. Not bland at all. I thought it was a bit salty but, I don't have a high tolerance for salt at all. Husband loved it along with my younget. The kids menu is extremely limited. You can choose between Teriyaki Chicken or beef bento boxes. The portion is huge! We had the girls share it and we still got to nibble off of it. Each girl liked and disliked different things. I tried a sushi lunch special. The spicy California roll. I got two full rolls! Had to have the hubs help me finish it. For a restaurant far away from any fresh sea food it tasted surprisingly fresh. I would try any of their speciality rolls the next time I go. The placr is nice and clean and as I've said the food is good.

Family run place, clean, right in downtown driggs so you can walk to restaurants. Fridge in the room so you can get groceries from the grocery store right across the street. It's a bit older and outdated, and the walls are thin. However they have a hot tub, a swing and sandbox in the back, and raspberry bushes you can sample from when the berries are in season - a real treat for our kids.
Motel: warm quaint cozy. Nice bed. Clean. I think 10 rooms? Affordably and fairly priced. Those who appreciate vintage will love it. 20" TV with DVD player in room. Fridge and microwave in room. Electric baseboard heater. Lots of closet space. Pets ok. 1.5 blocks from traffic light at center of town. IMHO perfection. Owners: sooo nice, accommodating, friendly, helpful, decent. Wish I lived closer to Driggs so I could stay here more often. 2 blocks from shuttle to GTR. Old ski posters from @ world on walls, carpeted up to wainscoting in hallway, converted log cabin with add-on motel space, just all around beautiful place. Will accent the memories of your travels positively. Stay here if you are in Driggs.
My two friends and I were on a motorcycle trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. As we approached Jackson Hole, we began looking for a place to stay for a week. Rooms in Jackson started at $280 per night! In a panic, two of us were driving around looking for something cheaper while another was on the internet. Our internet search lead us to Pines Motel-Guest Haus. 2 rooms (connected) 4 beds $100 a night!!! Sign us up! Then, we realized the motel was not in Jackson Hole, but in Driggs, ID. This was going to put up on the west side of the Tetons and all of the tourist sights were on the east side. We took the rooms anyway. What a GREAT decision. The ride over the pass to Driggs was amazing. Driggs was a great little town with some awesome restaurants. John and Nancy (owners) were amazing. It has been said the rooms were a bit dated as well as the home. However, I felt like I was staying at my grandmother's house! The beds were comfy, refrigeration in room was nice, and there was cable TV with DVD player. Our rooms were attached with one bathroom, but each room had a sink in it which I thought was strange but really they were quite handy. The property is about an acre with large trees, a tree house, swing, and a sandbox. John keeps the backyard grass groomed so he (and guests) have a golf chipping area. They keep the hot tub running all the time so on a whim you can just go enjoy it. There is a nice patio surrounded by pines with a large fireplace and seating. This property is just beautiful and John and Nancy could not have been more accommodating. I asked Nancy if they had ice; she brought me into the downstairs private residence and was trying to give me ice from her freezer!! So no on site ice machine, but the grocery store across the street does If you are in the area, I highly recommend you stay here. You will not be disappointed!

My mum, sister, and I are driving cross country we stayed in driggs Idaho just west of the Grand Teton Mountains, the town has a great view of the peaks! The big hole bagel shop is amazing, with there homemade menu with everything breakfast from bagels, biscuit and gravy, to muffins!! It was so great, if you are driving through you should try it for sure! They are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday though.
The bagels are lovely! Their turkey club sandwich with bacon was good, but could be improved by the use of an actually ripe tomato (this was in August after all). Oh well, nothing a ketchup/tabasco slurry won't mend. Latte was good, staff friendly. This town makes me feel a little like I walked onto the set of Scorcese's 1974 "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore"
Good was awesome! Got the Benedict and its one of the best I've ever had! Potatoes are yummy. Highly recommend coming here if you are in town. Can't go wrong.

My girlfriend and I went here one day while running errands. The food was good and the restaurant is clean. If you want more authentic mexican, the restaurant across the street is said to be more authentic. I don't know if we will be back, my girlfriend wasn't particularly fond of it.
I brought my two daughters this evening for dinner. We ordered a dinner combination meal of 3 chicken chimichangas that we split between us. It was plenty of food and tasted great- and the price was very reasonable! The restaurant was very clean and I liked that they gave us a pitcher of water so that we never had to wait for a refill. Service was fast and friendly. Would come back.
Was here for a 2nd time this year. It is just excellent. The chairs you sit in are comfortable- and beautifully made. Besides that, the place is clean- the restaurant and bathrooom! The Servers are kind, patient, and willing. The food, extremely reasonably priced, delicious, and generous. Overall a great place and worth returning to, and encouraging others to visit!

This supermarket rivals most in much larger towns and cities. Recently expanded, they have a beautiful selection of fresh produce (although they can be on the pricey side), meats and bread. Sushi is made fresh daily, great deli area and always, an extremely tidy store. Since the expansion, Cocoa Grove (like Starbucks) moved inside the store. Good coffee and you can hang out "upstairs" if you want to enjoy your drink or food within the store. You really can find everything you need and then some. A big surprise in a small area. Keep in mind, they are closed Sunday. Can't say that bothers me, I kind of like that "old school" type of place.
Great store! Has more to offer then the grocery stores in San Diego. What a nice surprise.
Espresso bar. Sushi bar. Bakery....etc All across from the motel I was staying in. Too bad they were closed on a Sunday though!

I had the Panang curry and it was the best I've had. SO GOOD. I'm not sure if the rest of my party loved their dishes as much as I loved mine, but I think we were all happy. Nothing special about the ambience, but the food is reasonable and yummy. We had a glitch with our order and our daughter's food came much later than the rest. I think they had to cook chicken legs just for her dish because they were out. If they had told us the issue she might have ordered something else....but oh well. Still recommend.
Yum! I have never had food from Thailand so I don't know if it is genuine but man is it good. Our Aunt and Uncle have been to Thailand and they said it was very similar except over there you don't have much control over the spice level. Here they have a scale of 1-5. My husband got a 3 and said it was spicy. I got a 1 but it was spicy. I think I probably ended up with at least a 2. My husband said mine was spicy. The restaurant was very clean and bright and the girls were enamored with the fish tank. I got a meal off the lunch menu called something Jean. It was really tasty. Came out super hot (heat wise) and as I mentioned above spicy. I managed to eat half before the spice got me but I got it to go and can't wait to finish it. Husband got the Pad Thai he said he would give it a 4. He got spice level 3. Said it was hot and just right. There isn't a kids menu but there were plenty that my kid's would eat. We got them the fried tofu off the appetizer menu. They loved it! We also got them a fried rice which they ate until they were overstuffed. One review said that they received horrible service. We had fantastic service. When we walked in we were directed to seat ourselves. Water followed immediately with menu. She came back and asked us if we needed anything else to drink and if we were ready to order. We weren't ready but she returned promply. Food came out fast. We were checked on a number of times and the bill was given to us right as we finished eating, collected and returned quickly. We had a great experience and great food!
Good food. Went there after a long day in Yellowstone. We had the BBQ Chicken and the Crying Tiger Beef. The Beef was cooked Sushi, really good.

If you're looking for a family friendly bar with a great beer selection, this place is perfect. However, I ordered a couple of their specialty cocktails. If it's a specialty cocktail on their menu, I'd hope the bartenders would know how to make them. The key lime martini was terrible, and the waitress offered to bring me a different drink, so I traded it out for a chocolate martini, which was drinkable. Buffalo burger was flavorless, and the pecan salad was mediocre (though their quantity of pecans was awesome). Fries were fantastic. Waitress was super nice and attentive. The atmosphere was nice, and they use old skis to hold beer mugs in their decor, which was pretty cool.
Good food! My husband got a beef burger and I got the buffalo burger. Very big portions as well. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff.
Just had dinner with my wife. Love this place. We had chicken sandwiches and house salads along with a cheesecake for dessert. Everything tasted excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. We're planning to go back tomorrow.
