First of all let me just say that the only reason I'm giving a 3 and not a 4 star rating is based on the overall experience. I truly believe that Zeppole makes the BEST bread in the Valley. In fact, I wish they would open a second location in Meridian! I happened to be in that part of town today so I stopped in and grabbed lunch for me and my husband. I love the fact that you can choose between 1/2 and whole sandwiches. They have a great variety... Desserts, bagels, loaves of bread, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. My order consisted of 1/2 turkey & provolone sandwich, pasta salad, a whole roast beef & cheddar, and a cup of tomato ravioli soup. I got all of this for only $13! Everything tastes very good and I highly recommend the pesto mayo as an addition to your sandwich. The reason that I am eating them a 3 is because I feel they could expand their service and make their lunch experience better. It would be nice if they made sandwiches upon order so that you could add and build as you like. Everything is currently made ahead of time in the morning and is plain and simple. If you request mayo they give you a container and a knife to add it yourself. They could also offer a soda fountain instead of just cans that you grab out of a fridge. My only other complaint is the way they package everything... I would prefer each sandwhich wrapped or in a to go container. Everything here was just put into a paper bag with loose sandwiches semi wrapped in paper.

I go for the bread. The parmesan crusty type bread is great for soups or on the side of shrimp scampi. All the loafs of bread that I have gotten in the past have always been very fresh and tasty. We tryed some different types of pastry that were just ok. So my recommendation is the sourdough. It's always awesome as well.

Highly recommend the village loaf, especially for accompaniment for dinner and dipping. If I'm just going to do bread, cheese, and wine for dinner, this is my go to.

I was walking to Starbucks when I saw this place and I rather try local coffee shops. I had a soy latte. It was good, very hot as it should be. I m new to soy I prefer milk so I wasn't thrilled just because of the soy. The foam was perfect. I also had a morning glory muffin. Excellent! I will come back Their sandwiches looks amazing. I really like this place. The folks behind the counter is very polite. And if you engage in conversation they open up and are friendly. I'll be coming back. I have to try their breads.

Just okay.....that would describe the lunch at Zeppole on Parkside. This would not be a destination one would pick to come. Sandwiches were pre made and soggy on one side. Soup which was tomato ravioli was bland definitely not homemade. Bread was hard to chew. Better luck next time if there is one. In addition food was sitting out on the way to the restroom and the disabled parking spot was in the center with the entrance clear at the end of the building.

Definitely a fan. The scones are REALLY good. Coffee was hot and tasted fresh. Not much else to really say. If you want a quick bite, check it out.

Some of the kindest people in the City of Boise, I love the fresh baked breads - good for any occasion. Their banana and zuchini breads are like desserts! All in all its a wonderful place to stop in and pick up some authentic artesian breads.

Can I just say, "Nyet" here? I got all of my bread and pastries here when I used to lived in Boise. It was such a great bakery. WAS!! What happened? I went to the downtown location, and their sandwiches were pre-made. I asked if they could make me one, because I couldn't have cheese or condiments due to allergies. They said I would have to go to the Park Center location. I walked back to my car (two blocks away ... Wouldn't normally matter, but I'm still rehabbing multiple fractures in my ankle and leg from a hiking incident). I drove out to Park Center and started to order a sandwich. They said I would have to go to the downtown location if I wanted a sandwich made to order - they only had pre-made sandwiches. I said I'd just been there, and they told me to come to the main bakery. She said, "Sorry. Can't help you." Unbelievable. The grocery store is more flexible than this! What a shame!

Excellent bread, great varieties, exceptional cookies and sweets. Great place for wholesome, fast sandwiches. Highly recommended.

SO unimpressed. Not only was the owner/manager copping a serious attitude, but I didn't realize all the sandwiches had been premade, so by 2p there was basically nothing but veggie left. The bread was really yummy--the ham and Swiss inside was something you could get from albertsons. Coffee was also totally blah. The extra stars are for the baked goods-the cinnamon twig was yummy, and the cookies look (and hopefully will be) huge and excellent as well.

Get a sandwich just for the bread! Not really because the entire sandwich is great. Continue on past Subway and enjoy another level of fresh bread and sandwich filling. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly and fit employee. I ordered a turkey sandwich with Horseradish-mayo. It had the right amount of each sandwich component, not too much lettuce and not to lean on the turkey. The bread really makes the sandwich special. I will be back when the Turkey Sandwich urge strikes!

We went here for some early morning coffee. The employees were running around making the bread which is shipped out to many of the restaurants around Boise. It smelled fantastic! The service was very good, they took out order right away and we got to chose which of the many pastyrs we wanted to have with it. Zeppole is also a great place to go for lunch. they have several sandwiches and at least two soups to chose from.

I really only come here for 1 reason and that's to get there cheddar scallion bread. It's the best bread ever to make grilled cheese sandwiches with. The only problem is that they only make it on Mondays and there location is on the opposite side of town then me. But when I do manage to make it over there and no get a loaf it is very much worth it.. yummmmmy

Loathe to write one star reviews, I usually just don't take the time to do it. I'm a 'glass half full' type. But there are times when a counterpoint review is a little like a public service announcement for taking pause before visiting. Maybe if I'd noted one before coming here with out of town friends, given positive Yelp reviews, we would have avoided the really poor experience. So here goes my bottom line humble Yelp opinion. You can do so much better for bakery items than Zeppole and as a dine in experience it is woeful. The only thing that saved the day was the very friendly young woman behind the counter doing her best to represent the paltry product of prewrapped, premade sandwiches that were on soggy bread when unwrapped to eat and lukewarm soup that tasted as if out of a package. We didn't even get as far as the cookies or sweets to comment on those. But in everything is connected mode, we noted on making a trip to the loo that one had to walked by trays of open, cooling cookies on a rolling cart right in the path of travel to the facilities. Said facilities being out of TP and when the really nice young woman behind the counter was informed she apologized and made mention of same to a sort of sullen looking woman sitting at a corner table who with metaphorical dark cloud hanging over her head sort of stomped in to fix the issue. IMHO both Gaston's, Acme and Wildflower all make superior bakery products to Zeppole and that was my view before coming to this store. Still, on occasion I'd buy one of the Zeppole parm breadsticks at the CoOp. But after coming in here, Zeppole is off my list for purchasing at all. I realize I may hold a minority view. I realize they may have been having a bad day on the day of my visit. But if so, what a bad day it was. THIS N THAT: 1) Parking: Big strip mall lot. 2) Accessibility: How it is 25 years after the ADA was passed that strip mall owners get parking and accessibility so wrong is a crime. Literally. Regardless, if someone in your group uses a wheelchair be advised the accessible parking is a mess.

Sandwiches are good tasting but overwhelmed by the bread! Too much! Need to add some more meat. Otherwise eat it open faced!
