Stained Glass Coffee House and Book Cellar

4950 N Bradley St
Boise, 83714
If independent coffee houses are your cup of tea (ahem... cup of coffee), check out Stained Glass Coffee House and Book Cellar. The team at SG Coffee House have lots of creative ways to make the hot or cold beverage of your choice. My caffeine buzz was a handcrafted eight oz. four shot americano, skillfully made with Dawson Taylor roasted beans. My wife ordered a pumpkin spice hot chocolate that made her smile like a Cheshire cat. We plan to be back and highly recommend you put SG Coffee House and BC on your to do list. PS. If you like to read while sipping your beverage or eating tasty baked goods, you'll find lots to choose from in the bookstore across the hall.

Supper friendly and helpfully. The recipes are always good and fresh with new ones added and favorites return. Portions sizes are perfect as well. Another new added feature for the smaller family is the half portion meals.

this place is a steal! mind you, it's not like staying at the four seasons, but you get a lot for your money at this hotel. the rooms are clean, they will put a refrigerator and microwave in your room if you ask. the staff is super friendly. you get free buffet breakfast every morning. they have eggs, sausage, cereals, bagels, english muffin, waffles, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit..pastries.. they put out cookies in the afternoon. the internet is free. as is the gym and toll free & local calls. while their gym equipment could use some updating, with all the other great stuff, how can you complain? what more could you possibly ask for?

Wasabi is in its new location on Apple The place is large, colorful and clean The food was great. The tempura was fully battered with a light covering and not at all greasy. We had an order of three rolls and was more than 2 of us could eat. Next time I will try a dinner or bento box to see what the sides are like. They have just opened and the have some special discounts on about 1/3 of the sushi rolls Very good food, I will go back

Great food, owner's who care and a staff that makes sure you get a good meal!!! My favorite Deli in Boise and the northwest for that matter!!!
We stumbled across this place and were very surprised. We have now been there twice during out short trip to Boise. Food is great. It is very fresh with high quality ingredients. I would eat here all the time if I lived here. Staff was very attentive and friendly! This place doesn't look like much on the outside but it is wonderful!
So far the only place in the area, I have found, that serves REAL pastrami from the brisket. Not a round or sirloin. Hot pastrami! There's nothing like the real thing. and they do it well here. Order it however you like it. The menu can be confusing. Just ask for a pastrami on rye with whatever you like or with just mustard like me.

The Local

Love this place! I was so excited when I saw a place to grab drinks was opening up within walking distance to my house and am pleasantly surprised with what it has become. I've checked it out a couple of times now and it's improved even since the first visit. This is the perfect place to go on a date, grab a drink with a girlfriend, or a group of friends. I love the ambiance- very relaxing, modern lounge - like feel. No tvs, sorry guys, I love it though, you have to pay attention to your date! Their menu has improved a lot and includes a good variety of appetizers and small plates. I had the chili today and it was so delicious, a southwestern style with a delicious pulled pork meat on top. I also love their drink selection, they always keep a great variety on hand including many local brews and wines. Their patio that opened this summer is a wonderful addition to the place! You have to check this place out! !
Awesome food and ambiance - something to drink for wine and beer drinkers- no kids- so quiet!
What a delicious experience to find so close to the Greenbelt! Hey, some people bike for fitness, I just want to feel righteous while looking for a place to eat and drink. The Local is a wonderful find! They don't open until two, so you won't be going there for lunch, but you should be going here!! They have local brews rotating on taps, so it'll be fun to come back again and again to see what's new. They have a good selection of wines, wonderful ladies running the kitchen and bar, and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It's only six months old, and we should make sure The Local is here for a loooooong time!

Papa’s Cup of Joe

1301 S Capitol Blvd
Boise, 83706
I would have studied much, much more in college had I lived near a place like Papa's Cup of Joe. Points of awesomeness: *coffee AND wine available. YESSSSSS. *coffee - delicious. The other reviewers do a better job of explaining the quality/variety of coffees but I know that mine was tasty and perfect. *service. The barista suggested that my drink would be even more perfect when topped off with a sugar/steamed milk combo she created. It is true! *atmosphere. An old (working!) record player, vintage picture frames, ample seating space. *wi-fi.
Great service and tasty food. Leaves you a big satisfaction. I will come back for more:)
This great coffee shop on S Capitol Blvd, across the street from the college and the college bookstore, has great staff and great charm! It's a hybrid of a coffee shop that mixes the best of Seattle, San Francisco, and New York City into one delightfully charming location. The baristas here are so laid back, it's fantastic! When I was there, one of the baristas had just put out an old LP player he bought at a sale. He was playing some classic Simon and Garfunkel and he allowed the customers to put on whatever records they wanted to hear. That's part of the charm of Papa's Cup of Joe. This is definitely a place to hang and enjoy a quiet Saturday morning with vintage records and a great cup of joe!
