This place was pretty good. We weren't the easiest customers. We were killing time before our flight and our kids were cranky and starving. We ordered several katsu dishes and curry bowls, as well as several trays of sushi rolls and boba drinks. Servings were huge and is tasted pretty good. Service was excellent, especially considering how difficult we were as customers. Kudos to the young girl who was working the counter at that time.

Had I known I was going to have to wait forever for my food I wouldn't have come here but once I got the food it was good teriyaki. Good people watching in the patio and laid back atmosphere are nice.

I've always wanted to try this place due to their logo it is cute and comical to me. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. It comes with Rice, Veggies, & Chicken. The teriyaki sauce is great. It meshes well with all the other ingredients. However, nothing seems extraordinary about this place or their food. It's like Zen Bento but with less veggies. I wasn't impressed with their Gyoza's either. I lovvvve Chinese dumplings because inside that warm, soft shell is a treat of steamed veggies and meat. Then you can dip the dumpling in the sweet soy sauce and whammy, it's brilliant. Yokunza's dumplings were either too fried or old. Skip it! There really isn't service here, it is along the lines of healthy fast food, but I do like that they offer delivery.

Fast and healthy food, I swore I would not eat the entire Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, but the homemade sauce was just too good to stop. Had a cool Bubble Tea in Thai flavoring, very nice. Be sure to order Bubbles for the kids, they will love em.

Good portions, flavor, and variety. The members in our group ordered the yakisoba (one got chicken, one got pork), chicken katsu, tonkatsu with curry/rice, and curry/rice alone. We also got a couple of orders of gyoza. Outdoor seating is a plus and great for people-watching on market day (indoor seating also available). Be sure to get one of their frequent diner punch cards (buy 10 get 1 free). Friendly and quick service brought our order out to us when it was ready. They don't serve sushi/california rolls on weekends.

OMG I love this place! I could go broke eating here. I usually get the Yakisoba Noodles with chicken and eat them all in one sitting! I have gotten other things, like the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl, and have never been disappointed. Will go back again and again

As you may have seen on YELP I have previously reviewed Yokozuna Teriyaki at the Vista Avenue location quite enthusiastically. So when I found out they have a new location in downtown Boise, within 3 miles of my place of work, I was thrilled. Even MORE SO when I saw their slick new take out menu that states THEY DELIVER within 3 miles of their location I was just about CRAZY with joy. You see, 10/09 is my birthday, and it was just a week before that I got my hands on that slick new menu for the 8th street location of Yokozuna Teriyaki! A friend of mine gathered info from the 5 other people we eat lunch with and planned to have our lunch delivered, since a couple of us only get 30 minutes for lunch- we couldn't possibly go out to lunch to celebrate my birthday. She got food specifics, collected cash, then giving a couple of hours before we'd need or order delivered, CALLED the phone number on the back of that slick new take out menu- ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT DELIVER.. "oh maybe next week we'll be delivering" she was told. Not wanting to spoil my birthday meal, and after haggling with the person on the phone with the obvious "it says on your menu that you deliver" she arranged to go pick our order up. (oh and she had to get permission to do so because she only had 30 minutes for lunch and had to be able to make the pick up and return to the office). When she arrived at the location, she had a conversation with the manager there, explaining the difficulty and (AGAIN) that it was kind of crummy of them to have slick new menus in circulation falsely stating that 'they deliver' from the 8th street location. (no caveat about hours of delivery, nothing to make us even consider that they would not DELIVER). The manager's response.. barely even and "I'm sorry". No offer to comp any of our order.. but my friend WAS asked if she wanted more menus to take back to our office. My friend basically replied EXACTLY the way I would have- telling the manager that every one of the 200 people in our office were going to hear about the false advertising on those slick new menus. So again to break it down.. as a rule I personally ADORE the food at Yokozuna. I love the Vista location and have sung its praises. My opinion of the 8th street location though, is forever marred. DO NOT count on them to deliver food to your office. Even if you are spending $100 for birthday celebration. (apologies I left the menu at work or I would have shared the phone number and a photo of said slick menu)

I tried the chicken katsu with curry. The chicken was good and the curry was decent. They offer large portions and most dishes are under $7.

This is the best bento in Boise! I'm so excited they are downtown now, this will be my go to pre-drinks food stop. Affordable, healthy, great service, what's not to like? Check them out, you will not be disappointed. Update: I feel the need to add that I've recently been trying to cut meat out of my diet, and I had the teriyaki tofu and it was fantastic. I don't know how they prepare it, but I'm kinda craving it right now (four days later). They have an incredible selection of dishes, with lots of protein options. I'm repeating myself, but they are one of my fave places in Boise. Seriously, check them out.
