Pizza Pie Cafe Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I'm impressed with this place! Cheap prices for some good food. They have a decent selection meaning pizzas, pasta, salad, and dessert pizzas. I had a slice of bbq chicken pizza and I believe it was the firefighter? (it had pepperoni and jalapeños on it). They were both good, I wish they had more of a selection on salad topping but I still found some topping I liked. One thing I'd like to see is a vinaigrette or oil and balsamic for a dressing, all I saw was a whole lot of ranch and blue cheese type of dressings. I didn't have an pasta but hubby said his carbonara was good. The cookie dough dessert pizza was a favorite as well. I was a little concerned on space because from the pictures on yelp it looks small but they actually have a good amount of seating for bigger groups. Overall this place is great, I will definitely be coming back.

Not really good or bad. Nothing special stands out about the place or the food. The pizza was so so, very buttery. These pizza buffets are basically all the same, but at least this one is clean (unlike flying pie) so extra star for that. Places like this need a chef. Someone who can do something different with the sauce and dough. I'm never a fan of "from the can" restaurants.

This is a franchise which means the owners have a serious financial investment involved which we respect. While noting some good things below, in our humble opinions my husband I think this may be the worst pizza we have ever eaten. Or not eaten as the case was here since we didn't finish our two trial slices. The bottom line is for a place that puts Pizza Pie in the name and even with low expectations for quality in any "all you can eat" format, this is a fail for pizza. The bland, over thick, doughy crust was cooked on the bottom, so it's not as if the 'raw-ish' top texture was a factor of too little time in the oven. And if you're a glutton for punishment (I'll revisit that theme later), there is a dessert pizza selection too. Although we are not "buffet types", it was the enthusiastic reviews for pizza quality here and food photos (mostly owner provided it seems) that made us go in. Our bottom line is if you're looking for quality pizza, you'll be disappointed. But there were good things worth noting in service, pasta, salad bar and vibe. SERVICE: A nod to the super friendly and courteous young staff, all guys on the day of our visit, who were hard at work greeting customers working in the kitchen and keeping the dining room tidy and they even thanked us for coming in as we exited. That's always nice touch of customer care. PIZZA BAR: In everything is connected mode, the helpful service extends to making the pizza. All pizzas have signs to tell you what they are. If you don't see a variety you like on the pizza bar, they'll make one of the kind you want and add it to the options we were told. When we visited there were likely seven or eight options, a couple without meat which is our preference. PASTA BAR: Much better than expected. Even better than pasta we've had at some Boise full service restaurants. Served in shallow pasta bowls, a far better serving dish than a flat plate, there are about eight or ten types of pasta from which to choose. These are par-cooked in sealed clear containers behind the counter so you can see them. You choose the pasta you want, in as much quantity as you want, and the nice guys behind the counter put it in a little container and then cook / heat it in tub of super-hot water. (A finishing process many restaurants use.) My penne and spaghetti were nicely al dente and so was my hubby's fettucine. There are about half a dozen sauces and split between meat and meat free options in warming containers to ladle on yourself. The roasted red pepper sauce and the marinara sauce, which was chunky with tomatoes, we selected were tasty. There is also a choice of grated cheeses, parmesan, romano and asiago, to top off your pasta as you choose. SALAD BAR: It is possible to make oneself a decent salad from things like iceberg heavy salad greens, fresh spinach leaves, beets, peas, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds...the list goes on. As woohoo note, they also provide Balsamic vinegar if one wants to avoid the half dozen offerings of processed salad dressing. I appreciate that they put the fresh salad items in small containers so that they can keep them changed out easily to keep them fresh, which they were. PRICES: I think lunch is $7.25. Dinner is a buck more. (Beverages are not included in the price.) And if you go during the "happy hours" between 2:00 and 4:00 (which we did) the price is only $5.99. For that amount we felt we got what we paid for in the pasta and salad bar. But noticing the gluttony (I said I'd get back to that) of some of the folks dining in on the day we were, I can't imagine what the franchiser's revenue / profit model is for the franchisees to make money at these prices at what seemed like a hefty average consumption per diner. VIBE: Located in one of Boise's myriad of decrepit strip malls, there has obviously been care given by the owners in the remodeling of this space. High ceilings, a sort of industrial vibe, lots of seating at standard height tables (woohoo for that, no high perch) and booths of various sizes. And while it must be very hard to do in a format like this, everything was sparkling clean at food service stations and seating location. Music mix was a good one of what seemed largely 70's and 80's era rock turned up to vigorous level as one would expect here. As we were leaving this Queen tune came on. (Wasn't Freddy Mercury the best?) I hope the title wasn't prescient for the future of this business, given the competition it has nearby. youtube.com/watch?v=AJcF… THIS N THAT: PARKING: Lots of it in the big strip mall lot. ACCESSIBILITY: One accessible parking spot. It has non compliant curb ramp. Level in and all on one floor. Food service areas seem to exceed reach ranges. Several options of standard height seating. NEIGHBORS: Quick Wok on one side, H&R Block and Radio Shack on the other.

Honestly, pretty mediocre pizza. It's maybe slightly better than an Izzys but there is no reason to go here with IPC, Extreme Pizza and soon Flying Pie right down Broadway. The pasta was okay, but I feel like the current 4.5 star yelp rating is a bit misleading. You can tell that the pizza here ha been sitting under a heat lamp for 15 minutes... It's dry and somewhat bland. The crust is a bit on the cardboard side taste-wise, although the toppings seemed okay. I give them props for their set up, and their ability to keep a variety of pizzas available is vastly superior to Idaho Pizza Co. Unfortunately, I would take the last thing available at IPC over any of the choices here. Ultimately, mediocre is the best word to describe the food here.

Great new place. Very simple...good pizza, very good salad bar, good pasta bar w/ variety of sauces, nice friendly staff. You can even request gluten free options. The decor is really open and welcoming. I was very impressed. Clean, spacious, TVs everywhere, BSU memorabilia, and comfortable booths. They will give Idaho Pizza some competition which will be great to have options.

Pizza is mediocre at best . Good selection and ideas for pizzas though . The pasta ( six kinds ) will be freshly warmed for you with a nice variety of sauces for it . The garlic knots are very very good.

Classic pizza buffet spot. The pizza is nothing spectacular, but prices are good and the dessert pizza is awesome.

I have eaten at the Treasure Valley's new Gem, the Pizza Pie Cafe a couple of times and I haven't been disappointed. They have a great variety of pizzas, somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 as well as some dessert pizza options (Helloooo Oreo Cookie). They have more variety at any one time than Idaho Pizza Company. Another cool thing that they do is pizza requests. If you're looking for a particular pie, or have a dietary need (e.g. gluten free), you can request that they make one. The downside is you do have to wait for the pizza, but at least they're willing to make it for you. They have really good pastas and the salad bar is good as well. If you go there, be sure to sign up for the text message club. You get texted great deals each week, and who doesn't like a discount? For an all-you-can eat lunch buffet, you can't beat $7.25. And the dinner buffet is only a buck more. If you like pizza, pasta, and salad, and appreciate good service, a variety of pizza options, and a modern interior, I recommend visiting the Pizza Pie Cafe.

What a great new edition to boise. This is a new pizza buffet in the bench. It is reasonably priced; $6 between 2-4 and 8pm to close. It's bright clean and even has really cool booths to sit in little alcoves. The food is great; a huge selection. I really enjoyed their own speciality creation the firefighter; it was delicious. The other cool thing if you want a pizza not being served they will cook it up for you. Another cool addition is their pasta bar which you won't find at a lot of pizza buffets. Try the spicy sausage Alfredo it's really good!! They have a variety of pastas which they cook to order and several different sauces to choose from. All their food is fresh and full of flavor. If your looking for a lunch spot with lots of choices this is the place!! Don't forget their desert pizzas; the Carmel brownie pizza is delicious..enjoy..

Great place! All you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad that actually tastes very good. They had a large variety of pizzas, including dessert pizzas, that was constantly refreshed. Pasta bar included several varieties of pasta that is heated individually for you and then you get to choose from lots of tasty sauces. Was a very good value and we are glad we tried it.

This is by far the best pizza buffets I have ever been to. We found out about it from Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were trying to feed a group of 10 for a reasonable price. They had great promo deals going on that agreed with our budget. Excellent staff, clean environment, great selection of pizza, sweets, and salad bar. I would highly recommend this place!!

Loved this place! A large variety of pizzas, pasta & dessert pizzas. We will definitely be back. I hope they build more throughout the Boise/Meridian/Nampa area.

Visiting from Utah for a soccer tournament, we have visited & liked another PPC in Clinton Utah before & this location is newer & a bit nicer. Very good selection of salad bar toppings, pasta w/ different sauces, and pizza. Dessert pizza was great too. Very clean and nice place with friendly employees. Great price for a buffet. We went during lunch time and it wasn't super crowded, we also used a coupon for a better price. They reserved a whole area for our girls soccer team & families. Nice HD TV's to watch sports etc. The only thing I didn't enjoy was all the Boise State memorabilia on the walls. I would class it up with a few pieces of BYU gear.

I can say it's better than primos...not has good Idaho Pizza but this place offers a bit more cause of the pasta and the yummy desserts. Will, definitely go back.

Very clean establishment. Good workers and hard workers, with great attitude. Terrific and fresh salad bar. Wonderful pasta bar with many types of pasta and at least 6 types of sauces. Pizza is not the best in the world, but it is a solid 4 stars (what do you expect, Chicago Connection, not at a pizza buffet). They have about 5 different kinds of dessert pizza. They have gluten free options. Tables are spaced out nicely....not all packed together. Pretty cheap at $7.25 for lunch, soda not included. But a small soda is only 99 cents. Overall, an extremely good value for the money.

Delicios pizza choices. Enjoyed every piece I sampled. The desert choices were so yummy!! This restaurant is new to Boise, we moved out if town just as they were coming into town, we are bummed they didn't come sooner.

Great service! Pizza is not as good as Idaho Pizza company, but good variety. For a buffet, you cant beat the prices! Reminds me of Primos but atmosphere is more hip. Primos went out of business, hopefully these guys will be around for a while.

They had a lot of pizzas to choose from . . . but EVERY one of them had meat. I would have thought they would have had at least a cheese pizza for kids to eat, but no. Maybe I am the first vegetarian to ever eat there? They offered to make a vegetarian pizza, it takes 10 - 12 minutes. I was there for a quick lunch with friends, my meat eating friends ate their lunch while I stood around waiting for them to make a non-meat pizza. I (mostly) missed lunch with my friends, and ended up wolfing down two small pieces of so-so green pepper and mushroom pizza that cost $7.25! It is obscene that they had no vegetarian options. They did have a salad bar, but I tire of eating lettuce all the time. I am eating out, I want warm, cooked food. That is not really possible at this place.
