When I rate places I try to take into all considerations. Price, atmosphere, quality and overall experience.. if you want a good slice of pizza this place is what I would say about average. But if you want a late night slice downtown while sitting outside and people watching this place is the best. And that's why I go here for for a good light night slice and to people watch.. do it you will not be disappointed

Pie Hole is located in a great location in the pedestrian walking area of 8th Street. I don't visit often as it seems to be an after drinking hot spot, but today I decided to try it during the mid afternoon. The atmosphere, employees, and general feel of pie hole is very unique. It's definitely a culture location akin to Voodoo donuts. The pizzas though definitely don't hold up to the reputation. Most slices will be large and very floppy. I generally recommend bringing extra napkins to pat off the grease. The food tastes decent, but not to the raving reviews and recommendations I've been told. I think that pie hole is a culture experience that is a local fun place to go. If you're visiting Boise I think Pie hole will give you some fun memories and stories, but I wouldn't Recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner. Pros: Pizza by the slice means you can order several different pizzas and have variety. Unique and different experience. Fairly reasonably priced. Cons: some staff are a bit brass Pizza can be very greasy. Basically reheated pizza

8 slice choices. Great drunk or sober. What more do you want?

Back in mid January I posted the 1 star review which I've pasted below for Pie Hole. Two updates are necessary: First, I posted under the wrong location (which I've since removed) and more importantly I had a far more favorable experience on my last visit that's prompted me to change my review. Simply put, (nearly a month after my last visit) I ordered a couple slices of pie last Friday, paid, and received my pizza. Upon my exit I was approached by an employee who turned out to be the (new) manager. She asked if I was the individual from a few weeks back who had a poor experience with the then current manager. I confirmed that was me and she promptly made what felt like an honest and unforced apology and then gave me a sincere thanks for giving their establishment another shot. While my average ticket at pie hole is relatively small (usually under $10) I know my patronage could be considered trivial. Regardless, I'll continue to judge a business, particularly a local one, on not only their product but most importantly the integrity of their employees. My most recent experience proved that Pie Hole possesses at least one employee with good character. My sincere thanks for apology! I'll certainly return :) "Poor Form! Sadly, I frequent this establishment; however, this happened to be the most disappointing experience I've had. Unfortunately, I was accused of "erasing" the menu board at the beginning of the "order line." I was rudely accused of "intentionally" erasing said menu board by an employee when I sincerely didn't have any knowledge of the existence of such board. After discussing the incident and claiming my innocence/ignorance I moved along and paid for my order. When paying, I requested the managers name only to find that the individual accusing me of intentionally erasing the menu board was the manager. After paying for and receiving my order I approached the manager to discuss our previous interaction. After inquiring I was told that the individual "didn't need a lecture." Disappointingly I felt that the manager couldn't take constructive feedback. While I realize that my feedback may not carry much weight, I felt compelled to provide candid feedback after such a poor experience. Worth noting is that I have had multiple positive experiences, and great food, yet this interaction with a "manager" left a lot to be desired. Even after approaching said manager, of whom was unwilling to speak with me, I had a less than desirable experience."

Cool little spot to satisfy your pizza craving. Hit the spot after a Long drive from Utah. Pizzas are thin so order one more slice than you normally would. Good variety of pizzas. I give the pizza a 3.5 but an overall score or 4 for the cool ambience.

Review Pie Hole One of my favorite places to go for pizza in boise they have a really big selection of pizza, Pepperoni, Vegetarian, jalepeno. I just ordered the regular pepperoni but it was amazing pizza. Out of everywhere I've been this is the closest to new york style thin crust pizza. and the entire place has a downtown feel to it. you walk in and it definitely has that downtown feel to it. if you are looking for an elegant clean restaurant this definitely isn't your place but if you want something more urban then absolutely come here in addition to the urban and energetic environment the people that work there are nothing to go crazy about. they are definitely not mean but they aren't the kindest people in the world i love pinhole just not the lifestyle!

I always loved coming to the Pie Hole back in my earlier (and more livlier) partying days. Their pizza slices have never disappointed and I can't appreciate them enough for their moves to recycle. Never had a problem with a majority of the staff myself, however it all depends on who is running the stoves and flipping the dough. My problem with this location, outside of the space and loud music, is the apparent lack of an action plan for when a drunk passes out in the bathroom (the door has no key). I can live with the decor and overall "hipster" vibe of the place, just keep up the great selections.

Good ideas and flavor but could be better. I wish they had a better menu to look at all the choices they have.

Really good pizza, the crust was amazing, the staff was friendly but jeeeeeebus the price was a bit steep and the place is pretty freaking hipster-y. It's a good place to check out for good pizza at a steep price lol. Buuuuttt huge perk is it's open until 3/4am!!

With the old-school arcade games and the anarchistic facade, I've likened Pie Hole to being like a Shakey's on acid. It can be almost surreal there when your head is spinning after the bars close down and you waltz in. Even when sober, I've found the more basic pizzas painfully average. The saving grace here is the unique options they offer. Crickets on a Friday the 13th pizza? Awesome! I stick to only the specialty pizzas. For me that's the potato bacon primarily. I'm sure some other pizza place could do just as good a job if not better. But they don't, and that's where Pie Hole's appeal lies. They stray from conventional. And they're also relatively cheap.

Totally solid pizza. The slices are huge, their specialty pizzas are interesting and fantastic. DH and I get it delivered from the one on Broadway pretty regularly- my recent favorite is the Potato Bacon but add Broccoli and Onions. Try it! You can get pizza by the slice or a whole pie- the whole ones are MASSIVE. The slices are huge, the pizza is thin, the staff is great and totally unique.

Great pizza for after the bars! About the only time I would go there.

I love the potato-bacon pie, and their slices of the day are delicious. Some of my favorites include the mac-n-cheese and the corn dog. Very tasty New York style pizza by the slice!

Pretty good cheap pizza by the slice. Lots of variety. Light on the cheese and crispy crust which I love. Was nice and cool and cozy in a hot day. I'm sure it's a great dive bar to hit up at night.

The pizza is okay. I think if I partied all night and was very hungry this would be the place to go. If you want a quick pizza that is not very tasty and want it in a hurry. This place is for you. Mediocre pizza, staff and décor.

Had one slice of tortellini and one slice of cheese between us before a show downtown. It was okay, nothing spectacular - tasted like leftover pizza warmed in the oven. :/ Cool little outdoor space is great for people watching. Probably wouldn't go back, though.

This is my favorite place in town. The prices, food, staff and atmosphere are fantastic. It's seems small, but with the seating in the very back and out front it makes for a great place for a beer and a bite. To the stuff: Keep up the great work. It's people like you that make Boise awesome. Thank you.

I love what Pie Hole is doing: pizza with unorthodox toppings served up for cheap in a rebel-youth decor setting. Unfortunately, on this particular visit, none of the pizzas really caught my fancy. I tried a slice of the Thai chicken pizza and a slice of the potato, mushroom and garlic Alfredo. That peanut sauce on the Thai pizza really brought a different angle to the pizza game, sweet and savory like a BBQ sauce pizza, but not overstated. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and I'm not big on cilantro. The other slice had good flavors, but they were all mild all the pizza just ended up being a bit bland. Big plus points for having so many hot sauce options. There are a few pizzas that I would really like to try, like the Mac and cheese and the pulled pork, and I'm hoping I can come back and leave a better review.

Went here for a quick bite before a band show and loved it. The pesto pizza didn't have much flavor and too much cheese for my liking but I'm one if those who likes less cheese anyway. The real star was the Thai chicken and potato bacon pizza. The venue itself is pretty cool with a comic style mural on one wall of a bunch of people with pizza making utensils attacking a dragon to save the world. What more could you want!

I'm originally from NYS and as someone from NY...I'd like to think I know a good piece of pie when I taste it. This pie? Not that great. It looked like it had been sitting out for about 6 hrs & even after they heated it up, it was still cold. It has POTENTIAL haha! to be good pie, but overall? Eh! I wouldn't recommend it. The place is cool though...like a small pizza parlor in NY...I liked that. Maybe I got there at a time that the staff wasn't really feeling the whole thought of working anymore for the night...even though they had several hours left lol. I'm new to Boise & am still scouting out new pizza joints. I've been here & to Prontos...neither were very good. Any suggestions from Boise peeps, lemme know :) Thx!

Great local place. We asked a good place to eat and this place does not disappoint. The Potato pizza was really really good.

  • Neda S.

Pie hole is okay if you are starving but otherwise I don't see alot of reason to come here. Just walk down the street to guidos and grab a slice that is significantly better. Staff are however nice and friendly. It's probably not their fault that the dough and toppings are such bad quality.

  • Araminta S.

YUCK! This pizza tasted like wet cardboard smells! It was so greasy it gave me a stomach ache! And to add insult to injury the staff made the characters from the film Clerks look like saints! A server actually told me it was the restaurants "prerogative" to serve water!! Ummm!!! No! It's kind of the law you arrogant ignorant greasy haired dick! If a costumer asked for a cup for water you give it to the costumer! You can charge for the cup but you don't flat out refuse!! I'd give a negative star if it offered it. YUCK!!! Icky and go to Pita Pit instead!

Potato & Bacon pizza is AMAZING! I'm from Texas and was skeptical at first, but it was great. I always get a slice when in Boise. The pepperoni is good, and the pesto something, and I got a chicken/ artichoke onetime- they're all great! Great pizza for a great price!

Nothing says amazing food after a night of drinking like Pie Hole down town. I make lots of poor decisions (especially with women) while intoxicated and at 1:45AM, nothing says comfort food like Pie Hole. Even though prices have increased in the past few years, I don't care; drunken Pie Hole is better than anything else while down town!!!

  • Nathan A.

Love the pizza and the music is great (the knife) but don't ask me not to use my cell phone when ordering pizza. If I feel like I have to take care of business while ordering pizza don't act like I'm a problem being on my phone when you are just selling me a slice of pizza. Pie hole is basically saying if I'm busy and need to use my phone that I should not bother to try to feed my self at their restaurant because they are to busy to sell me lunch.. Ps was given the business for Checking the time and setting an alarm At 1145am

Alternate names for Pie Hole Pizza include: Pie, Pie My Darling, Crust Velvet Apocalypse, True Slices of Liberty, Stiff Little Finger Foods, Sebadough, Martha Splatterhead's Flattest Pizzas Ever Sold, and We Like Stickers. 10 Word or Less Review: Thinner'n D. Boon's guitar tone and plenty tasty . Haiku Review: Thin crust all day long No expectation was failed Why no vegan slice? Regular Review: the Good: Anyone who has ever been to a punk/New York inspired pizza house has been here. It looks like the kind of place the Beastie Boys would have worked at when they were sixteen. Stickers are everywhere and the place is busy with art and words. A small arcade in one corner really brings home the feeling that you are standing on set of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Pizza always looks freaky when it's waiting to be reheated, so I suffered the usual cringe and crisis that everyone deals with when judging the freshness of slice joint pie. Seeing that the pie was definitely thin crust, I jumped on board. It helped that there was an equal amount of vegetarian to non vegetarian pies and that the topping pairings were diverse and creative. There was a pumpkin pie inspired daily special so I had to have it. Yams and marshmallow on brown sugar and olive oil. I also grabbed a mediterranean style veggie slice and a soda. Cost after tip was under $9. Perfect. The pizza met all the criteria: It was warm. The crust was crispy enough to hold stiff and straight at the crust, but soft enough to curl slightly downward at the point. It folded nicely for efficient noshing. The pizza was not greasy and there was not too much cheese. Pie Hole pretty much nailed it. the Bad: Nothing bad about this place while I was there. It was early evening, the kids hanging out looked like they came with the place, and having expectations for a slice place other than it does it's job is kinda like pining for a romantic ballad at a Slayer show. It would have been suuuuuper nice to have had at least one vegan pie. the Ugly: I read from someone else that Pie Hole did not provide free water, though I cannot confirm this. If this is true, this is ugly and would warrant a loss of a star. That's just BS. the Extra: As I was leaving the place and had already written in my notes that it reminded me of TMNT, I noticed paintings of Splinter and the Turtles on their entry way garbage can.

Pizza by the slice, and they usually have 8 different options. Slices are cheap, and big. The pizza is already made, and cold. When you order it, they throw your slice in the oven to warm it up. This place is simple, and they're good at what they do!

Everyone loves a good cheesy, greasy, late night snack after hanging out down town. We usually hit this spot around 2:00 to 2:30 am on a Saturday we go out. The slices are fairly large. They only have 4-6 varieties to choose from at around $2.30 a slice. Its good pizza, fun retro atmosphere. I only gave three stars for the following reasons: 1) Its always the same options for single slices. 2) The wait is LONG. 3) The staff is kind of rude and standoffish, I understand they deal with drunk, annoying people every night but at least try. I would like to try ordering a whole pizza from here with the toppings of choice.

In the past when I heard "pie hole," the first thing to come to mind was Ned's Bakery on Pushing Daisies. That's still the first thing, but now the second thought is this downtown pizza joint. We gave it a try this past Labor Day. Normally I'm not a fan of thin crust pizza, but theirs is very yummy if overly greasy. We also tried the cheesy garlic bread, which is very generously portioned. In fact, prices were very reasonable overall. However, a few things put me off. First, it's small inside which is fine but placing an arcade game right next to the counter doesn't really help with congestion. Second, they were blasting really crass music in the middle of the afternoon. Even most bars play it safer than that. I was a little embarrassed on behalf of the family that came in while we were placing our order. It just wasn't very mindful of the kind of customers that pop in during the afternoon. We have music at home that we would never put on for mixed company. It's just common sense. Maybe they are trying to discourage a particular clientele (pretty much everyone?) And finally, the service was iffy at best. One person at the counter was almost as abrasive as the music. As much as I like the pizza here and at the similarly sketchy Flying Pie, I'm not sure I want to continue rewarding their bad service with my patronage. We did enjoy people watching on the patio while we ate, but between the service and the horrible tummy ache that followed, I'm not sure if we'll be back.

pen late, friendly people, boise staple! You can't go wrong with pie hole, I ve been going here since I was in high school and it's still the same amazing pizza today. Nice big pieces and fun specials of the day.

I've been enjoying slices here for years. I moved away from Boise a few years ago, but still eat here every time I'm visiting home. Many creative creations available for a short period of time like strawberry walnut basil on a white sauce, pineapple and red peppers with fried wontons on Thai peanut sauce and many other great pizzas, my go-to is roasted red pepper and basil if none of the slices of the day sound good. Great place to go after, or during a night of drinking. They have a few good beers, and are always stocked with cheep PBRs and Rolling Rock. The only less than fantastic slices I've had are when they don't re-bake the pizza for long enough so they become a bit limp.

Pie Hole is a local cheap eats pizza place. I think they score highest in personality and originality. Some people may think it is dark, dingy, cramped.. guess what... that's the personality. don't like it, just go somewhere ELSE. The interior is covered floor to ceiling with cool/unique art, deco, stickers, arcade game, etc. There is also a water fountain for free water purposes. Above all else Pie Hole is just an amazing place to grab a cheap piece of really good pizza pretty quickly. There is the standard cheese, pep, and potato bacon. Then they rotate new and daily specials. So no matter when you go you can try something different. Cheesy garlic bread is AMAZING. Also great selection of pizza toppings. Tell me somewhere else that offers mango as a topping cause I've never seen it. Also awesome that they are open so late at night, we always stop in after drinking.

No matter what I find myself doing in Boise I ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS stop at pie hole. Amazing. Huge slices of pizza. Thin - greasy - so many topping options. Great beer selection and of course the basic sodas. Also amazing when delivered. Inside is small - and some people may think a bit "trashy" but i LOVE it. Graffiti, stickers, arcade games. Also a nice outdoor area to sit. Classic. A boise MUST. !!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

So being from NY I,m picky on this subject. The place is cool i like it. It has a grunge atmosphere there's a couple of arcade games for some entertainment. The seating is like a ripped bench seat found in the trash with wobbly tables, goes with the atmosphere though. THE PIZZA was good. NOT great but good. Very greasy but definitely up there with a ok NY pizza place. Price was normal, but what made this place good was you can buy it by the slice or the PIE. Yes they know that PIE doesn't mean apple or cherry. They have some ready to heat up for you on the spot. Its a great 1:00 AM after the bar I'm hungry spot.

Great Pizza, Great and funny crew. It's New York Style Pizza in Boise. I'm from New Jersey/New York area, and this is as good as it gets. One size is offered or buy by the slice. I Iove this place, makes me feel like home 2000 miles away. My daughter attends BSU and took me there, not far from campus off Broadway. Great pizza, thanks guys!

    (5)
  • Ron R.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Eugene, OR and asked our friends and hosts to take us to their favorite spot for Pizza. They took us to the Pie Hole downtown and it did not disappoint! Tasty NY style pizza both by the slice and whole pies. Check it out!

  • James S.

Condescending, argumentative and wasteful. This place will not provide a cup for water, not even for money. Instead they offer you a bottle of water for $1. Great, so rather than a small renewable paper cup we should all create plastic waste and drink water shipped from Georgia. The employees are rude about it too, as if it's my fault that they are unable to extend a common courtesy to their customers. Pie Hole makes a decent slice, but I WILL NEVER RETURN...at least not until they find a friendlier solution for the soda theiving that they say caused their removal of water cups. Until then Pie Hole, you can stick it where the sun don't shine.

I've got a weird relationship with pie hole. First I went there the week they opened. So while I don't own any stock in pie hole, I do feel a bit like they're my baby and I've got a vested interest in em. Being fancy gourmet pizza isn't the goal at Pie hole, it's a great pizza place where you can hang out, get a cheap dollar pbr and sit and watch Boise walk by. However, the Pizza IS excellent. I am always impressed how they have so many new combinations of pizza and the creativity they have in combining things you'd never see on a pie. Today they had mashed potatoes with bacon on a gravy sauce. I went for the black beans with corn and mushrooms. Both were good, though they won't replace my favorite, their Thai chicken on peanut sauce. If you're visiting Boise it's a must try. Guidos is good too, but their lack of choices and creativity for flavors make pie hole Boises best. Also, 4-5pm is Happy hour atleast at the Broadway location, two slices for $3. The best fast food deal in town.

Awesome unique slices for a reasonable price! If I lived in Boise this would definitely be one of my regular hang outs!

  • Thad B.

It is what it is: Interesting topping combinations, palpably cheap ingredients, a sort of punk rock vibe, and a really unappetizing name. They have free internet, sometimes dollar PBRs, and potato-bacon pizza that is really satisfying if you a. you have had a few b. it hasn't sat too long.

    (3)
  • Jolene C.

They sell slices that are good so I'm happy. No, it doesn't taste amazing but it's quick and cheap, they have a cool little outside patio where you can chill out with a beer and people watch, and they're open until 4am on weekends.

This is a great place to fulfill to late-night pizza fix. I'm partial to the bacon and potato pizza. Heavy on the hipsters and a good atmosphere.

This is pretty authentic new york style pie. The pizzas are HUGE, so if you're looking for value, this is a pretty good choice. The downtown location is pretty hip, staff is friendly. I've had the pepperoni (very good) and the sausage (average). All up, not the best in Boise, but pretty darn good

    (4)
  • Greg B.

Cramped, but the Pizza wasn't bad. The cashier/ people behind the counter weren't that friendly either. Go to Guidos, by Flying M, on 5th. Better pizza, better atmosphere.

  • Meagan K.

got a pizza for take out and when I got home I found that it was burnt and smaller than it should have been. (it says on menu 19" but it was actually 17.5") Doesn't seem like much, but it was noticeably smaller than usual. I have ordered man y times before and liked it but may not go back as there are many other places that are always great like flying pie.

Pie Hole is fun for me. The pizza is great, and has some wonderful ideas to mix things up like the decadent Gorgonzola Pesto Pizza, which is awesome, and the Thai Chicken is the best one I've had in Boise. The music is good, the atmosphere is pleasant. I really enjoy hopping in for a bite to eat when I need something quick and good and satisfying.

pizza is good when you are stupid drunk .. i cant say anything else about it because the only time ive eaten here is when i was drunk

stopped by here on the way home from alive after 5 and was really impressed. PBRs I think were $2 and I could get traditional new york or pesto pizza. Loved it! I will be back.

We decided that after a night of drinking at Liquid that we needed some pizza. The Pizza was a really good price and we got our food really fast. There were about seven different kinds of pizza to chose from. The classic cheese and pepperoni, they also had a drinking special. We had the specialty flavors which were outstanding. The only thing was that there was no seating and it was too cold to eat outside.

  • Jonathan D.

There is nothing better than Pie Hole at 3 am after the bars have closed and you need something to ensure you can make it home in the cab without throwing up. I love the potato bacon and whatever the daily special is. I have actually had their pizza sober as well. While it isn't nearly as good as I remembered it to be the previous nights, it is still a good New York style pizza with a little bit of Idaho in their topping choices (i.e. potato-bacon). I still wouldn't rate them above guidos, flying pie, or the front door for pizza quality but for a decent slice for the right price they are a good bet!

Good slices great for late night noshing of the Za!!

    (4)
  • Ben M.

Very good pizza, I rarely stray from the Potato and Bacon or Pepperoni, but many of their daily specials are great. The atmosphere does make me feel dated though. I don't know if I am hip enough to enjoy the music and clientele. Two slices (big) will cost you less than five bucks.

  • Junior I.

Came here often during my one year at BSU and it was awesome. Great pizza at a great price. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Can get very crowded, but lines move along quickly. If I ever find my way back to Boise, this will definitely be one of my few stops.

  • Moki C.

Wish I could give it more...sizes are pretty small, the pizza usually tastes fresh off the heatlamp and I always get heartburn after a meal at Pie Hole. But it is open at 2am...and there's something to be said for that.

Very thin yet tasty slices, interesting vegetarian options (tofu on pizza? yep.). Weird atmosphere. The kids were freaked out by the bathroom.

Per Taylor's request, I needed to update my review to 5 stars because of their wings. Order the new wings with the hottest sauce if you're brave! We went back EVEN DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS because the wings were so good! Don't change the sauce Pie Hole!!!! We love it!

  • Tyler C.

I've eaten here a number of times, each successive time wondering why I came back. I think everyone talking about how good this place is makes me think "I must have been unlucky last time" so I try it again. Still terrible. I kinda understand how this could be confused with good pizza when you're drunk, but even then, it isn't that good. I will give them credit for the variety and creativity of the premade pizzas available by the slice.

Pizza-by-the-slice in the dead center of downtown. Never had a complaint about their pizzas, all very good. Trying to pay and get out at lunch rush can be a bit unpleasant, so show up a few minutes early or a few minutes late.

I visit Boise a couple times a year and after a long night out at the bars, we always end up at Pie Hole. It's a no frills pizza joint that serves serious slices of pizza. I've always had a good meal there and appreciate the hard work of the employees for making sure my pizza is warm and fresh!

They've got a nice variety of pizza, the vibe is fun and hippie cool and the place is open super late. It's nice that you can get it by the slice and the people in there seem to be a lot of fun (including the staff). They have high school lockers in the back of the place, decorated with stickers and some paint and there's also a big arcade video game (sorry, I don't know the name) to help you pass the time while your pizza is heated. The pizza is definitely not amazing though, and mine got a little burned at the edges. The crust was super crunchy and sort of inedible, but the flavor on my spinach, feta, sun-dried tomato slice was very delicious, so that's important. I'd go again...and I bet if it was after a long night, the pizza would have tasted even better.

It's after 2 a.m. and you've been partying all night. You're hungry as hell. If you're feeling like pizza, this is the place. The Pie Hole was a definite savior on many tipsy nights to help me sober up. They serve huge slices of New York style pizza for a couple bucks. Can't beat that.

The only people that could give this place a good review are the drunk people who eat there. Thats the only way I could attempt to eat at this place. Even then I want to gag cause everybody smokes on their patio while your eating. If your downtown before about 10pm Guido's is down the street on 5th. Don't be lazy its worth it.

Tasty pizza (at least when you're shit-faced) in a little hole in the wall perfectly situated amongst all the downtown bars. We stopped in several times to fuel up between bars. Don't remember the prices but I think it was fairly cheap.

Amazing that it's open late.. and cool atmosphere. Good pizza but not the best in boise. They skimp on the sauce for my taste. Don't get me wrong though, I definitiely eat at pie hole..just not usually in the middle of the day when I could go to guidos or flying pie instread

Extremely dissappointed...came here.moderately early on a Saturday night and things couldn't have gone more wrong. Screwed up my order, pizza was cold, and they wouldn't even give me a water cup (despite offering to pay for it). Pizza at the salt lake location is already so-so but avoid this place like the plague (go to goldies instead).

*one star or less cafe/feed pen* School lunch pizza. Flavorless. Even toppings have no flavor. The smoking on the patio is almost unbearable next to the drunk homeless guy hacking and spitting that frequents their patio wasn't even told to leave even after his antics of picking fights with people who he accused of some delusion or another! The crew inside is your typical don't-give-a-flyin-rat's-@$$, college drop out, still living with parents at age 30+ type of hipster. I wasn't disappointed, because my expectations never exceeded that precedent. Basically, you get what you pay for. You pay next to nothing to taste next to nothing.

Pie hole is okay if you are starving but otherwise I don't see alot of reason to come here. Just walk down the street to guidos and grab a slice that is significantly better. Staff are however nice and friendly. It's probably not their fault that the dough and toppings are such bad quality.

Wish I could give it more...sizes are pretty small, the pizza usually tastes fresh off the heatlamp and I always get heartburn after a meal at Pie Hole. But it is open at 2am...and there's something to be said for that.

Very good pizza, I rarely stray from the Potato and Bacon or Pepperoni, but many of their daily specials are great. The atmosphere does make me feel dated though. I don't know if I am hip enough to enjoy the music and clientele. Two slices (big) will cost you less than five bucks.

Potato & Bacon pizza is AMAZING! I'm from Texas and was skeptical at first, but it was great. I always get a slice when in Boise. The pepperoni is good, and the pesto something, and I got a chicken/ artichoke onetime- they're all great! Great pizza for a great price!

Pretty good cheap pizza by the slice. Lots of variety. Light on the cheese and crispy crust which I love. Was nice and cool and cozy in a hot day. I'm sure it's a great dive bar to hit up at night.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Eugene, OR and asked our friends and hosts to take us to their favorite spot for Pizza. They took us to the Pie Hole downtown and it did not disappoint! Tasty NY style pizza both by the slice and whole pies. Check it out!

Cramped, but the Pizza wasn't bad. The cashier/ people behind the counter weren't that friendly either. Go to Guidos, by Flying M, on 5th. Better pizza, better atmosphere.

got a pizza for take out and when I got home I found that it was burnt and smaller than it should have been.

Really good pizza, the crust was amazing, the staff was friendly but jeeeeeebus the price was a bit steep and the place is pretty freaking hipster-y. It's a good place to check out for good pizza at a steep price lol. Buuuuttt huge perk is it's open until 3/4am!!
