I wouldn't claim to be an Asian food aficionado, with the exception of Thai food, however, this Korean is unforgettable and certainly the best in Boise. Would love to hear or see a review from somebody with more Korean experience. Love the bimimbop and spicy pork.

Went here again and had an excellent pork dish. This time the service was super friendly albeit a bit scattered....had to ask for beverages twice and the plates are ridiculously small. Still, it's worth the trouble. 3.5 stars for this go....

We are in town visiting relatives in Boise and wanted some Korean BBQ. We are California natives who frequent Korean restaurants and we absolutely LOVED K-Fusion. We originally found this place on yelp, and decided to go there because of their great ratings. It was even better than we imagined! The waiter was extremely friendly and helped us decide on what we want. I got the chicken teriyaki plate and it was delicious. Our table also ordered the spicy pork, spicy chicken, and noodles. It was amazing! They also had a brown rice substitute which was a plus. We will definitely come back every time we come back to Boise and our relatives said they would be back and would bring friends! Highly suggest you try this place!

Oh my yum! I am a big fan of Korean food and this place definitely exceeded my expectations. We were on a cross-country road trip and just happened to stop in Boise to find some dinner. So glad we took a chance and stopped here. We ordered the spicy pork ssambap and the hot stone bibimbap - both were excellent and I loved that they are able to do the raw egg in the hot stone bowl - haven't seen that since I was oversees. I also thought the house siracha was fantastic. And a shot out to one guy running the entire front of house - he was literally running but had all 6 parties well taken care of. We had all this plus 2 beers for $36!!! Great find.

I really want to love this place but it claims to be fusion which automatically means they are going to try something new with traditional flavors that are already prefect. I order the pajeon which was oily and fusioned so did not like this too much (mayo... really?). The spicy pork was pretty good and had the traditional roots mainly left in the dish. I would come back to this palce since thwre is not a Korean rwstaurant in Bend. I added a start because it is the only Korean restaurant in town.

I was very excited to see that we had a Korean restaurant back in Boise. I have mixed reviews. Some of the dishes were pretty authentic like the spicy tofu stew and chap chae. Spicy Korean Chicken was also good but a bit too salty. The bul go gi and most of their dishes were however a bit on the sweet side, I'm sure to appease the american taste. The biggest disappointment was the lack of ban chan. Those lovely korean side dishes of kim chi, sprouts, etc that really make the Korean dining experience. We've been twice and all we got was a tiny little cup of cabbage kimchi. I would like to see them expand their menu a bit and also serve ban chan like any good Korean restaurant should. This shows me how desperate I am for Korean food here in Boise.

Great lunch for five. We chose to order Galbi ribs, Bibimbap, and a couple of chicken bowls. Kids and adults enjoyed bright clean flavored. Don't go for a 20 minute lunch, because it won't happen. This is food that takes time to prepare as well as to eat.

I love this place, I've always wanted a KBBQ place to eat in town. The food was delicious, my family and I tried it and loved it. Personally I like the bulgogi and the galbi dish. The first few months when this restaurant opened up in Boise, they had an appetizer that included dukbokki with teriyaki chicken which I absolutely loved, but now it's just teriyaki chicken. They also changed the flavor of the kimchi from when they first started up. The flavor of the kimchi now tastes similar to a different type of dish I eat at home. However I still go to this restaurant since it satisfies my KBBQ cravings. :)

Great food. First time ever trying Korean food, and pleasantly surprised. Worried about taking a small child there because it is pretty small, but the cheesy rice bowl was great and he loved it, not spicy but still very flavorful. They were super busy do the service was okay.

Korean girl visiting from Hawaii. This satisfied my craving for Korean food. Quality food, fair prices, and good service. Only thing I'm not used to is not having a lot of small side dishes served with my meal but I was okay with the two small/tiny dishes served. Walked out happy and content.

Excellent food, professional staff, nice atmosphere. Come for all of the above, but don't expect a lot of privacy. It's a tiny restaurant and the tables are positioned right next to each other.

I loved it! Korean restaurants seem to come and go in Korea. i'm glad this one has stuck around. And I hope it continues to thrive. The food is also authentic, which is nice.

I've been regularly patronizing K-Fusion since it opened. The food is consistent and always tasty. The interior is comfortable and the servers have generally been good. I will say that this is more of a Fusion restaurant (as the name indicates) as far as the fact that it is not extremely authentic Korean food in every respect. That said, I really like their version of several Korean dishes more than the authentic version. I highly recommend the spicy pork, for instance. They also make delicious spicy kimchi with several different vegetables, not just cabbage. I would agree with the critique that they need to upgrade the banchan situation! Charge more if you have to, but add some more banchan offerings vs the three mini kimchis that have always been offered. FYI, you can pay .99 cents to be served one choice of banchan kimchi in a slightly larger dish--although the response from the servers is a little inconsistent as to how sanctioned this is by management. It's an upgrade I always request so that I don't have to be constantly requesting more tiny condiment sized cups of kimchi.

A small and cozy place. Semi trailer size look/feel, but just a bit wider. We order the spicy pork #2, hot stone bulgoci # 1, seafood noodle #2 all delicious and beyond. For the seafood noodle we ordered a level 2, that had enough of a kick itself, and that's coming from an asian. I wouldn't dare try level 3 since I like to taste and enjoy my food. Service was prompt and attentive. If you're visiting Boise, this is a must place to eat.

Very good food!! We came on a day they were training and service was a little slow but the food was great!! They gave us free ice cream for waiting for our food for awhile.

I returned to see if a year had changed anything. It did. I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, for the sake of our young, picky children, we were ecstatic to find here was an abundance of cheap, heaping, white rice this time around. A minor gripe here was that one of the menu pictures featured a topping of peas for the "hot stone" rice which we requested because that's one of the few veggies our kids love. After the waiter conferred with the kitchen, the answer was "no," which we assumed was because none of the other dishes featured peas. Well "no" seems to be because they didn't want to; the kimchee fried rice came with peas. Secondly, they now have banchan! Tasty and seemed fresh made, in-house. Thirdly, the aggressive beer prices were slashed by $2, so you can get a bottle for a the Boise average of $3-4. We had the ribs again. Expensive at $18, but good. We also had the bulgogi, spicy pork, spicy kokung noodle, and pajean which were all serviceably good. Not great, but solidly appetizing. I really wanted to order some lettuce to wrap the bulgogi and pork, but at the listed $4/5 pieces, they were rejected as we'd just paid $1.39 for a whole head at Winco, and one could add meat to any dish for just $1.50. Why not do the same with the lettuce?! Heck, the house salad wasn't much more. It seems they're saying, "we don't really want to provide lettuce for wrapping, but if you really want it..."

I ordered the bi bim bap and it was an excruciating experience. The whole time the bi bim bap was tongue-burning hot (I don't mean spicy, I mean temperature hot). So, I ate through the entire dish while rolling the entree with my tongue to cool it down until I finish it. Not only was it hot to eat the entire time, it was also plain and unflavorful. Not even the immense of sauce that was given to me was enough to make it taste good. The service isn't all that great, maybe I've came at the wrong time since it was packed but the service was slow and I didn't get my water for quite awhile.

Soooooo great. Can't believe this is in Boise. Had the Jjigae (stew) with tofu served in a stone pot. Really awesome. My friend had the savory pancake which was served on a stone pie pan...also awesome. It's very similar to a Japanese Okonomiyaki pancake. Highly recommend this place.

I'm in love! After learning that Boise actually has a substantial Korean population, I was amazed that there wasn't a single Korean restaurant in town. Thank goodness they've fixed that! K-Fusion is really a fusion. It's not always traditional Korean food, and yes, they only have a couple of dishes for banchan but I assume they will expand it as they gain popularity. Still, I've honestly loved everything I've had so far and I've been in a handful of times. I'm an admitted whore for bibimbap, so I've had that more often than not and it's fantastic with a generous helping of the house chili sauce. The kimchi is awesome and beats any of the store bought varieties I've tried around town. The japchae is great and is a staple in their lunch plates. Their seemingly random corn cheese and potato gratin/mash with beef is actually really good. And the soft tofu soup...I get the medium heat version and it's still so spicy and so good (I actually like cracking my egg in the soup!). In spite of my love, they do need to work some kinks out with the service. Some days you can get top notch service, on others there's some serious lag, but they're working on it and it's gotten better each time. Final verdict, give it a try, you won't be sorry!

K-Fusion adds a variety of flavors, textures, and color to Boise's Asian fare. I have very little experience with Korean food (my only other consumption of it was in Seattle), so I don't really have a benchmark to compare it to. However, after several visits I have these things to say about it: -The appetizers are inconsistent and, in my opinion, not worthy of consideration -The entrees (both dinner and lunch) are tasty, filling, and dare I say fun. For example, the spicy pork lunch box comes with a myriad of textures alone. From sticky rice, to firm glass noodles, to crispy pickled vegetables. -The service can be hit or miss. At time spot on, and at other times we've waited for our food for an egregious amount of time while other customers (who arrived after us) were already eating. TL:DR - For Boise, this restaurant is a refreshing divergence from the norm, and worthy of a visit.

Went in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised to say the least! We ordered the bibimbap with bulgogi and teryaki chicken and it was SOOOOO GOOD!! While we were eating the chef came out and asked how everything tasted. This is definitely one of the best restaurants we've been to.

Good kimchi. Friendly service. Traditional plates that have traditional favors. I don't like their metal chopsticks. I will continue to go back in the future. Their lunchboxes are a pretty good deal.

A very pleasant surprise for Boise. Don't let the outside fool you. The appetizer was okay but the main dishes ht the spot!!! Bibimbap and spicey pork. Left with a full belly. Sip some Korean sake with the dishes and you feel in heaven. I have been to Korea and always enjoyed the cuisine. K fusion is certainly as close as you can get for Boise. Skip the average meals at many chain restaurants and head down to K Fusion for a culinary tasty experience

So glad my large Korean family found this place on our trip to Boise. We all really enjoyed the food. I had the spicy pork Ssambop (huge lettuce leaves with plenty of rice and yummy Ssamjang, a type of soybean sauce). The pork was delicious, hot, and spicy. I was impressed by the kimchi as well. The service was very friendly, and our server even overheard us talking about dduk bbok ki, a dish that we couldn't find on the menu, and she told us they did in fact have some. Apparently the owner takes requests 24 hrs in advance for special Korean dishes that they don't have on their menu. Man, if I lived here, I would totally take advantage of home-cooked Korean food that I could request whenever the craving arises!

Really good Korean food in Boise, have had the jjigae, beef bulgogi lunch box, and spicy pork lunch box here and none have disappointed even one little bit. I wish they would provide more of the small pickled dishes that are traditionally served. All-in-all the food is very good and the service is very good as well. Gets fairly busy around lunch time. I like the stamp card deal they offer for the lunch boxes (buy 9, get 1 free).

Excellent tasting food. I recommend the spicy pork. They really try to provide good customer service but it a small business and sometimes they get busy and the wait time can get really long. But the food is worth the wait no matter how long.

Our party of four tried 4 different dishes. We all shared tasty bites with everyone else in the party. No one disliked anything. There is math formula in there, but it doesn't matter--you can't eat math. You CAN eat some really tasty Korean food at K-Fusion Korean BBQ. I am not certain if it is authentic, as I have never been to Korea, but I can say that the food is excellent. I do eat kimchee from various asian markets in town, so I have experience there and I am happy to report that the kimchee that this restaurant makes on site and serves as a relish met my exacting standards. Try it just after 5pm. They are just opening back up for the day and it is a good time to snag a table. Personable service, tasty food, proper kimchee...there is a lot to love at K-Fusion Korean BBQ!

The flavors were very good but the price is a bit high for what you get. There were two of us and we ordered the Japchae (noodle dish) and the Galbi (BBQ short ribs). The grand total of the two dishes with tax was $30.72, and we left still a bit hungry. I was really hoping this place would have more Korean food options and be more reasonably priced as I wanted to make this place a regular stop. Other than that the overall experience was positive.

Was really excited there is an authentic Korean restaurant in Boise. Ordered the spicy tofu soup, beef galbi and bbq pork. They were really good! As good as the ones I've had in the bigger cities (Seattle/Phoenix/etc). Downsides: Floor space is tight, and seats are limited. Limited choice in menu. No kids menu.

I was so excited to find a place in Boise that was going to open Korean food ,I am from Hawaii and have always loved Kalbi Ribs as it is a regular for plate lunches in Hawaii. I called in the order and they had a lunch special with soup and some other things but the Kalbi Rib portion wasn't that big the lady said.I told her that I really wanted Kalbi Ribs and rice she suggested the Entree Rib plate that was Ribs and Rice ,ok then I will take that,It was ready when I got there hello ribs and rice.$18.00 for lunch I said, she said yes you got the entree size? ok I get home and It wouldn't qualify for a $6.00 plate lunch anywhere in Hawaii where the cost of doing business is 4to5 times higher ???? SAD.....Maybe the fusion was the fusion of $$$ into the markup of this food.Maybe another Korean food BBQ will open up for the regular people.

This is a great addition to Boise. Something must have changed because it's not expensive all. Interesting food and great service. I wish they would move downtown. The location is a bit out of the way. For what it is suppose to be it's perfect. 5 star casual food.

Once for lunch and now for dinner. Both times great food and fun to eat. This place has definitely moved up our priority restaurant list and is a local restaurant. It is fun, funky, under the radar location that is worth a stop by. See you there! Angela, appreciate the recommendations! See u all next week!

Was really excited to walk into a new Korean restaurant that actually had a wait time for a table. The food was really delicious, but the wait staff was incredibly unorganized. We ordered tofu soup (), bibimbap(),and pajeon (). The bibimbap came out first and we had to wait for a bit for the rest of the food to come out. The tofu soup came out and they made you crack your own egg inside. Such a waste of another dish for them, when they could easily crack the egg in the dish for you before serving. The pajeon was the only dish that could be fusion. It came out with a sweet sauce drizzled on top when you usually dip it in a soy sauce on the side, still really good though. My biggest complaint would be that they don't serve side dishes (). That's the whole part of the Korean food experience. I grew up in Korea and have a Korean mother, so I was most excited for side dishes but was let down. Also, the prices are a little too expensive for what you get. I will return though because there are other dishes I would like to try. Once they get things down and are more organized, I think this restaurant will do great. We parked in the Broadway Bar parking lot because we didn't know where else to park.

So happy to have a Korean place in town. Like many of the other reviews, I felt the price was a bit steep. But also know that a lot of the ingredients that go into Korean cuisine do not come cheap, especially since the source of these ingredients is limited to only a handful of stores here in Boise. I had the bibimbap and it was very good. The bulgogi was sweet and delicious. The food was authentic. The waitstaff were pleasant, but not too attentive. I asked for a side of kimchi and literally got a tablespoon serving of it :( I agree, the lack of side dishes (banchan) made it feel less like a normal Korean place. I hope they do well and expand their business and bring in the whole Korean dining experience wth lots of banchan! I can see this being a popular hang out for BSU students & international students if they lowered their prices. I know I would be there every week.

Just tried out K-Fusion and I am very stoked that they are here. We haven't had a good Korean restaurant in town since Seoul House went out of business. My family and I had the Spicy Pork, Spicy Tofu Stew, Dolsot Bibimbap and the Japchae. Thumbs up to all the above. I particularly enjoyed the spicy tofu stew with pork -"sundubu jjigae." They had some service issues but that is expected with any new restaurant. The important thing was the food was rock solid and I'm sure they will get the service worked out soon. It was obvious that good customer service was important to the owner, Joon. Will be going back soon!

Living in Hawaii and having visited Korea dozens of times, I was very disappointed with my visit to K-Fusion. First impression, you enter the door and are greeted by black walls, too many tables and chairs crammed into a small space, and bad acoustics, sounded like 100 people talking at once. I ordered the spicy pork and told the waiter I like it spicy, something you always do in Hawaii, the portion of meat I received was large, but it was very bland. As most others have stated, one of biggest problems with this place is the lack of banchan (side dishes), they brought out two small containers, each probably holding less then two teaspoons, one with kimchee, which was fair, and another which I guess was fried onion, something i have never seen in a Korean restaurant, but was probably selected because it was cheap. Never, in over 50 years of eating Korean food have I seen such a lack on banchan with a meal. In Hawaii, all meals, Korean or local are served with two scoops of rice, at K-Fusion you get one small scoop in a bowl, and after reading the other reviews, if you order more rice, you will pay through the nose for it. The prices for food and drink were much higher then you would expect from a hole in the wall establishment. I have no complaints with our server, he even came out to tell us our order would be delayed due to someone having placed a large order. With this being the only Korean restaurant in Boise they have a captive clientele.

Authentic Korean food with really good customer service. As a New Yorker who eats often in Little Korea, I give this place very high ratings!
