Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

I don't really understand how this place has such good ratings... I have only been in twice but both times were severely disappointing. I experienced a very limited selection of stale donuts and a dismal, somewhat depressing donut shop. The quality and taste here is comparable to Albertson's Bakery donuts at the end of the night. Friendly service, but lacking in all other departments. Sometimes I just don't think my fellow Boiseans know what a decent donut looks like.

I loved the blueberry fritter. Enough that I almost stopped back there before my flight home to get it again. Absolutely recommend. The Pershing was delicious. This place is light on ambience, but the food and prices more than make up for it.

As a first day of school pick-me-up, I decided to get a dozen donuts for my staff. The reviews for Daylight was all over the place. I am more into creative donuts but I did not have my hopes set very high. I was not displeased but was not super ecstatic about the donuts. Arriving around 6:45 AM, I walked right up and got my dozen donuts in 3 minutes flat. The guy was rather chipper and gave me a pretty nice spread. I actually added on a breakfast corn dog thing which was a mistake but did fill me up (mostly with fatty, fake cheese and greasy hot dog). The donut was soft but not cakey-soft. I had a chocolate donut with a white (not sure of the flavor??) frosting with coconut. It was a bit overkill in sweetness but none of the other staff complained. By the end of the day, only 4 donuts were left from 5 staff eating them and the remaining four were consumed by the husband, who did say they were just ok. I would go to Daylight over the Fred Meyer bakery because it is more of the bakery experience I suppose but other than that, if it is out of your way, no need to make the trip.

Alright, this is where I get myself into trouble with fellow Yelper Karen, who recommended this place to us. In all fairness, I'm cheesed off from two other prior donut recommendations that really disappointed (not from Karen). I guess I have seriously high standards for donut places... Daylight is in no way bad, so please don't get me wrong. I'm giving them two stars for the following reasons: -Interior of the place was somehow more minimalist than most donut shops -Variety of donuts seemed horrifyingly limited, considering we're just making things out of fried dough -Donuts weren't awfully fresh and we, apparently, had no hopes of a warm donut in the next 30 minutes (according to woman at the counter), which was hard to believe at 9 a.m. I will say, service was friendly. The donuts themselves weren't at all bad, but more or less average. I've never made donuts before, but I feel it wouldn't be too hard to fancy things up a bit without increasing their costs. Sorry, Daylight, my vote for best donut in the valley still goes to Country Donuts. For the same price, they're much bigger, more creative, have a wider variety, and are made more consistently (increasing your chances of a gooey, warm donut).

They were all out of chocolate bismarks. My favorite. The friendly woman told me that they'd have more fresh from the oven in three minutes. Worth the wait! I cannot even begin to describe the sweet manna from heaven that donut was! Doughy, warm, creamy, . . . . all that you'd want in a donut! All the other donuts my family had were fantastic as well- although not as warm! Highly recommend!

This was a great little breakfast spot. They had a large range of donuts - plus breakfast sandwiches & croissants. We ordered, grabbed some chocolate milk & sat out in the sun at the picnic benches. Good work!

Went on a Sunday and the place was dead. The friendly girl behind the counter was helpful and offered us a sample which was delicious! Ordered a strawberry round donut and a maple bar. Both were outstanding! The frosting and glaze were very sweet but full of flavor and the donuts themselves were soft and moist. What a tasty treat!

OMG these are good donuts! I had a warm maple bar with a generous amount of bacon bits !!! I don't normally make happy sounds when I eat, but this time I couldn't help it. The maple bars are huge, so I could easily see them cut into halves or even thirds to share with co-workers!

I'm so glad I found Daylight Donuts! Their donuts are so fresh, light, and airy with just the right amount of glaze. I especially love their chocolate glazed donuts and bismarks --- soooo good. I really hate the heavy, thick, tough donuts that you get other places. These are just right. The people behind the counter are always nice and friendly and don't mind waiting while you take you time deciding what you want. I highly recommend this place.

Totally average in every way. Donuts are good and about $1 each. Seating is just a couple of hard tables and chairs pushed up against the windows. The woman working behind the counter had no idea there were tons of residential neighborhoods just 2 blocks away and commented on how slow business has been. I don't think they've advertised at all.

Donuts are delicious! The person behind the counter who I assume is the owner was very friendly. I didn't ask for a glazed donuts, but he threw one in for free for me to try anyways. The bacon maple bar was amazing.
