Don't understand how these aren't all 5*. This place is conveniently located near BSU, relatively cheap ($7.25 for a double cheeseburger w/ grilled onions, an order of fries, their DELICIOUS fry sauce, and a drink) and wayyyyyy better than the extremely mediocre Burger King, McDonalds, Jack in the Box and Wendy's which are all also on Broadway. If you read this review and don't go here you just shouldn't be allowed to make any more decisions.

WOW! Double Cheeseburger, fries and drink for $7.25! I give this place a yum yum rating of 5 stars. The hamburger was delicious and the fries (WOW)... Our service was great and it is obvious the owner is a very gracious host for all her patrons. If you want a delicious burger this is it. Period...

Food, price, and service was excellent. Felt like i walked back into the early 90`s late 80`s for a good classic cheeseburger burger. I will be back for sure because places like this are hard to find. Glad its in Boise!

If you live in Boise and you know the nearest In and Out is in Reno, Nv. If you are looking to skip the six hour drive, look no further... This place is as close as it gets. Delicious!

Burgers and shakes are great. But their fries aren't anything to write home about. Get the tater tots instead. Great prices though!

It's outstanding I have tried almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong with anything it is amazing the best burger place definitely for a college kid who is on a budget! The staff is also extremely friendly.

Great spot to get a basic, tasty made-to-order burger and fries. Shakes are yummy. But for me, I most often stop in to get a salad! Yes, a salad! The chicken salad is great - fresh cooked chicken on spring mix with sliced tomato, cucumber and red onions. A generous salad portion for $7!! A coworker raves about the chef's salad so I'll try that next. My only wish is for a vinaigrette dressing option (currently only blu cheese and ranch). The service is exceptionally friendly and they hustle to get your food on the table, even when they are packed. Love supporting this family owned and operated shop!

Burger Belly is one of my fave spots in Boise, and I go out to eat A LOT. Nothing pretentious here, just a simple menu and simple food. Oh, and did I mention that it's CHEAP?! For the people who write their reviews complaining about the poor quality food, blah blah, get a life. You don't go to a cheap place that caters to college students expecting a high end dining experience. Having said that, I've noticed every time I've been in for lunch that a good number of professionals have found this place as well! Anyway, back to the Burger Belly...the patties are thin. If you want more meat, I believe it's an extra $1 to double up the beef. With a burger basket with fries and a drink costing $5-6, that extra $1 would still leave you with a nice cheap, but delicious lunch. The #3 is my favorite, the bacon cheeseburger basket, at a cost of 6.20 IIRC. The mushroom swiss on sourdough is also awesome if you happen to show up on a day when that's the special! The outside seating is nice here too! Located right on Broadway, you'd expect the outside seating area to be noisy from the traffic, but it's really not bad at all. My kids love this place, and all the friends I've brought here do as well! I've been to Burger Belly 3 times already this week, can't wait til next time!

A good little burger joint. Nothing fancy, but the burgers are consistently good. Not greasy, with generous toppings. It doesn't hurt that the owner is so charming & vivacious.

Burger Belly definitely surprised me! The atmosphere is fast paced during the weekday rush and the seating is limited. The burgers and fries don't disappoint. Lines can get long!

This place serves burgers, fries, and more at a very great value. The food is very simple and easy to order! I ordered the Colossal Burger that included a single burger patty, pastrami, fry sauce, and basic burger condiments. The meal included fries and drink. The food is definitely not one of the best burgers and is not gourmet, but if you're try to be ballin' on a budget, I highly recommend you try Burger Belly.

This is one of my favorite places to go.. it's not the best burger I have ever had but the quality is amazing for the price.. for between 5-6 bucks u get burger, fries and a drink.. they usually have good daily specials also.

Food was great, as were the employees. And for the price you'd be hard pressed to find anything remotely close to the quality. Buy local!

I had a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was BOMB. It kind of reminded me of in-n-out...so good! The fries were pretty good, not the best I've had but they did the trick. My boyfriend got onion rings instead and they were perfect... not too big of onions or too much breading - just how I like them! And the service was fantastic. The woman who helped us was super nice. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in the mood for a burger!

If you are looking for a classic burger place that is reasonably priced, definitely check out Burger Belly. I have been twice now and ate the cheeseburger and tater tots- so good! I will definitely return to Burger Belly when I am in the need for a good, greasy burger!

The food was excellent, especially for the price. The BBQ burger was real good and it had bacon, onion rings and a BBQ sauce that had a kick in it. The fries were pretty good and we got fry sauce which was OK.

One of my favorite burger joints in town. The burgers are delicious and the price is great! Their fry sauce is probably the best fry sauce I have ever had. Plus their milkshakes are just great simple shakes. This place reminds me of all the great old classic burger joint drive throughs that are harder and harder to find. The staff is very friendly, and I call orders in when I am in a hurry and they make them to perfection. So many great things to say!

Didn't even know this place existed until I drove by it and it caught my eye, so I decided to check it out. This space was the former home of Lucy's Coffee. To my recollection, probably the worst name for a burger place I've come across (what, "Burger Gut" didn't make the cut?). The thought of this food sitting in my belly is one of the last things I'd want to think about while eating here. Also their mascot is pretty much Hawkins Pac-Out's logo but with legs (see attached photo). If I was affiliated with Pac-Out, I'd probably be somewhat annoyed with that. A fairly simple menu with five or six burger options (including their signature burger with Texas toast instead of a hamburger bun), hot dog, fish/chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, and sides. The a la carte pricing is slightly cheaper than average, but the combo meals are the way to go here. French fries are $1.45, but the combo meals cost $1.45/$1.50 more than the price of the the entree, meaning that your drink is essentially free or costs $.05. Combo meals are as low as $5, so it's a good value if that amount of food can alleviate your hunger. I asked for my burger to be left a little pink inside, which was first met with confusion and then followed by grudging acceptance (great, another local burger place that's scared I'm gonna sue them). As is true to form around here, what I asked for and what I got were two separate things. I'm really starting to appreciate the burger places here that will do what I request not to mention doing it without it being like pulling teeth. The food quality was wholly pedestrian. Frozen patty, average condiments, average bun, cheap generic fries. It did absolutely nothing for me, the food equivalent of "in one ear, out the other." You're paying a little less here, but the quality is going to be a little less as well. I would assume that BSU students make up the majority of its business given its proximity to the campus (I seemed to be the only non-student when I was in there). They're open until 2 AM Thursdays-Saturdays to meet their late-night binging needs. If you're a student on a budget and want to get a complete meal for cheap and don't have really discriminating tastes, then this place will suffice (and you're supporting a local business over the chains that surround the area). Otherwise Big Jud's is literally a mile away from this place to the west and offers far superior burgers and fries.

First time. Enjoyed a basic burger combo with a milkshake. Both tasted good and the price was very reasonable. Dinning room was clean and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Incredible burgers. The fries are great too! Make sure to get the fry sauce. Quick service too.

Ordered the Double Bacon Cheese burger. Great flavor, and huge chunks of bacon. The service at lunch was amazing. The lady running the place came outside to ask if we wanted refills on our side, and later she thought we were locking for help, and she showed up to help, even though we didn't need anything. I will be back.

Very affordable food. Got the bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was awesome and cooked perfect. Both the fries and tots are very average, but the most important thing to me was that the burger was simple yet delicious, all of the toppings are fresh and tasty. Friendly service, indoor and outdoor seating. Can't wait to sample other menu items.
