Delicious and inexpensive food. The atmosphere is great and the servers keep up a cheerful and helpful attitude.

I've been a fan of Blue Sky Bagels for quite a while. I've been eating there since the location quit being bruegger's bagels. My favorite bagel is the Salmon Filet. It is always delicious. That is one thing about BSB, they are very consistent. The Asiago I got today, tastes identical to the one I had 2 years ago, as far as I can tell. Same with the flavored cream cheeses. One way to tell how "economical" a location is, is the number of high school students that go there. If you accidentally hit during the local lunch time for the high school, it is packed. This place is delicious and inexpensive. Usually, the service is pretty fast, too. I'd say that is the only inconsistency. It seems that the staff has a bit of a high turnover, and if you catch them training a couple at once, things slow down (quality does not go down though). At worst, this is a minor complaint. I'd say the biggest issue with the location, is that a few of the parking spots that look like they are part of BSB's parking lot, are owned or managed by a parking company. I've gone in and come out after lunch to a parking ticket. So, just be very aware. I think the signs displaying this information have gotten a bit larger since then. I think this only occurs on the weekends, as well. So, if you want a filling, delicious meal, head here. That it is very inexepensive is just a bonus.

I love this place but they mess up my order more than I would like, and I'm usually already at work by the time I notice. A couple times I have got the wrong bagel type, a couple times there has not been enough cream cheese so it was like eating a dry bagel, one time there was cream cheese on only one side of my salmon filet bagel so some of the condiments didn't stick. I keep giving it the benefit of the doubt but when it isn't busy and they screw up it makes me never want to go back.

Such delicious bagels & they're a great deal. Perfect to grab on the go. So fresh you don't need to toast them. The customer service is next level. I forgot my wallet last week and the cashier was totally nice about it & let me run home to get it. Blue Sky is the best kind of neighborhood breakfast place

Great bagels, great schmears. Not overpriced and they serve Dawson Taylor coffee. I like the variety of bagel options but I only ever order the same thing: garlic bagel with smoked salmon schmear.

Overall, this place offers mediocre food and coffee for the price they charge. My husband went to pick up breakfast for the two of us, he asked for bacon on both bagel sandwiches, and the server not only did not put bacon on either one of them, but also messed up the cream cheese flavors. Now my husband is getting heartburn from the spicy chipotle cream cheese. I called them to for speak to a manager about this and was told "one moment". They put me on hold for 3 minutes then hung up on me. I don't think this place is ever gonna get our business back.

Love, love, love Blue Sky for a simple cheap lunch, and it's also a good choice for a sack lunch to carry away for a picnic when heading up to Mores Mountain trail, or off to the Owyhees. Every sandwich I've tried here had been good, but since I'm frugal, I often get just a toasted bagel with a salmon cream cheese schmear . . . I can add tomato & capers to that without being charged quite as much as when I order an actual sandwich. The free self-serve water with lemons is nice, too. I do miss the lovely couscous salad that they used to sell in deli containers, though. Any chance of bringing that back?

I stopped in today to grab a sandwich on my way out of downtown. I've eyeballed this place every time I pass it, and always swear I'll make it in one day. Well, I am SO glad I finally did! Best bagels in town, for sure! I had the chicken salad on a parmesan bagel. It wasn't the typical chicken salad I was expecting, but BOY was it GOOD! The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely be returning, with the intent the sit and stay a while!

This place USED to be delicious.....it has fallen far from a good standard. My bagel today, was missing SEVERAL ordered components, and the cream cheese looked and tasted like mayonnaise. The avocado SPREAD was brown and TASTED OLD...whatever happened to fresh avocado?! The bagel itself was flavorless, and considering it was an EVERYTHING BAGEL, shouldn't it have been full of FLAVOR? The staff there is too young to care about the food they're responsible for, and they act entitled and inconvenienced over the fact that they have to do their "jobs". Totally over it, won't be going back. GROSSED OUT AND DISAPPOINTED.

To my mind, Blue Sky has THE BEST bagels in Boise. That being said, here's a reivew of my recent visit to the downtown location. I think it's terrible that the parking lot next to the restaurant does not belong to the restaurant, and that not even a FEW spaces are open for restaurant guests. Parking in downtown Boise isn't always the greatest, and having to plug a meter if you want to sit down for lunch is a drag. However, the free 20 minutes on the meter was enough for us, even having to stand in line during the noon hour to get our to go order. BLUE SKY.. I miss the SALT bagels! Please bring them back. The sandwich ordering process went well for us and by the time we got to the cashier our order was ready. The cashier forgot to give us one of the cookies we asked for, but he didn't charge us for it so it was all good. I had a garlic bagel (I only breathe on my computer screen at work, so no worries about bad breath!) with roast beef, tomato, onion, cucumber, swiss cheese, mayo and mustard. The bagel was of fabulous texture, and the toppings were fresh, the amount applied perfect, and the dill pickle spear a wonderful compliment to the tender roast beef. Thank you Blue Sky for a great experience.. oh and for serving Dawson Taylor coffee! Keep up the good work.

Not as good as Einstein Bagels from my hometown, but they are pretty darn tasty. Try the Parmesan or the Cinnamon sugar bagel (Best toasted). I don't personally eat cream cheese, but some of their combinations sound really good. Cool people, cool atmosphere, and super fast service.

Hot damn! I move to Boise and find a good bagel option. Seriously something I've been missing for the last 14 years in Seattle. The bagels are the perfect size and texture. All of your standard flavor options and excellent schmears (love the jalapeno). This is your place to go for a quick carb craving.

Great bagel and a nice morning breakfast spot on the road. We were staying in downtown Boise and wanted something quick on our way out of town. It was right along the way, had plenty of street parking right out front when we went, and were very happy with our bagel choices. Our 1.5 yr old LOVED the blueberry bagel.

Delicious bagels! Got egg and cheddar on a plain bagel. Long line but moves fast- clearly a popular spot and for good reason. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating and a small parking lot plus street parking.

There are some moments in the history of time and space that are so remarkably profound that the human language is not yet capable of capturing their meaning. You will not have one of these moments at blue sky bagels. You will, however, get unbelievably remarkable bagels in a smattering of various and sundry flavors that range from inspired to bleh. Dense and chewy, not soft and spongy like the supermarket imitations, these re-define what it means to be a bagel. Most of their sweet options are skip-able, except for cinnamon sugar, which is more of a dessert than a breakfast. Don't make the same rookie mistake I did and set your cinnamon sugar bagel in the cupboard for a day during an 80-degree day, b/c the sugary glaze melts and becomes very un-inviting to eat. Their savory options are all fantastic, especially asiago. Overall, Blue Sky Bagels will leave you wanting more...and thanks to their very fair pricing, you can definitely have your fill.

It's a gorgeous summer Sunday morning in Boise and I needed coffee and a bagel. So I Yelped bagels and found Blue Sky Bagels. It's in or near Old Boise. A large, sunny, modern room filled with healthy-looking people of all ages. I ordered and received a bagel and it released steam when the nice woman cut into it! She added a shmear of cream cheese. I filled my own cup of super heated Dawson Taylor coffee and sat down. The bagel was perfect and the coffee was as very good. I recommend BSB without reservations. It's not cozy and parking could be a problem, but I have rarely had a bagel - or a cup of coffee as good.

I went in here on day and I stood at the counter for 3 minutes while the girl with frizzy blonde hair cleaned up and told me to wait. She didn't even greet me, she just told me to wait. Then the second I started to walk out the door she greeted and helped the next person. I will not go back.

Simply the best! Everything made fresh...even the schmear! Cinnamon and sugar dangerously tasty! Parmesan also a fave!

Blue Sky is a great place to get a good cup of coffee and a fresh bagel. Of course they offer bagels and cream cheese, but they also make bagel sandwiches and have 2-3 soups of the day. I love the sun dried tomato cream cheese on parmesan bagel. They are fairly priced and have great service. If you are in downtown Boise and are looking for a quick bite in a clean and happy atmosphere, Blue Sky is the deal!

Nice and slow during a Tuesday morning, great to not be rushed through your order. The selection is not huge but big enough to fill you up. The Sun Dried Tomato Basil cream cheese spread is delicious and they also serve Dawson and Taylor coffee if that is your preference. Fair priced and plenty of seating room, inside and outside. Also close to work, so a quick lunch there is a plus for us!
