Easily one of the best Thai food restaurants I have ever eaten in. The food is very authentic and the flavors are spot on. Service is not bad. The menu prices are a little high on some items. But in all honesty once you receive the food in try as you can see where your money was spent. I promise you will not be disappointed give this place a shot

The entrees my husband and I tried were pretty much average for Boise Thai food, but there were a couple of details that were unusually good . . . first, the shrimp chips that were served as an appetizer. I was surprised to find how much better these tasted than the mass-produced and probably somewhat stale ones I've purchased in bags from ethnic groceries on a couple of occasions. The second "wow" factor was dessert. (I have a feeling that their desserts are what really set them apart from other Thai restaurants in Boise!) The choice we ordered consisted of dark, sweet sticky rice, served warm-- topped with cold rice custard. We found the flavors and the cold/ warm contrasting temperatures of the two types of rice to be quite delightful.

I have eaten at many of the Thai places here in boise and this amazing little restaurant is my go to lunch resource. I normally come in for the pad Thai (beef) and leave here at $10 with tip($2.36) and leftovers for a snack later. I highly recommend Bangkok Thai if you are looking a fast delicious lunch, I just sat down ordered and had my drinks and pad Thai with ten minutes. Oh and if you come in for dinner try the pho, Awesome! All the best KCCO

Not much of a selection for lunch specials. My dish was satisfactory but not exceptional. Service was very attentive and fast. Good for a relatively quick lunch.

My daughter discovered this gem while on a previous visit with friends. The dinning room is no frills. The tablets and chairs are pretty basic. The server was nice but she was the only one handling most of the duties for all the tables. My daughter made some recommendations we ordered the following: Pineapple Fried Rice Dish, Pad Thai, and Volcano. Most Thai places ask you how hot you want your item. The range can be from 1 to 5 depending on the location. We decided to go for a three on our choices. My wife and I are not big fans of the shrimp chips?, but our daughter like them and it passed the time as a snack. This night, the restaurant was out of chicken Wings. Not a big deal, just curious to see their spin on this item. The volcano arrived beautifully in its pot. The broth was undeniably basil and had a nice flavor. The crab legs appeared to be frozen then defrosted. Seafood is always so difficult in Boise, so not a huge deal, but it would have been better if the crab legs were fresher. The mussels, and the rest of the seafood was good. The Pad Thai was pretty standard. In all three dishes, spice level 3 was not spicy for me. I regret not going higher. My favorite dish was the pineapple rice bowl. Its a carved out pineapple filled with fried rice and choice of meat. Absolutely, highly recommended. The flavors were a party in my mouth. All in all a good visit. I'll be back to try some other menu offerings.

Stopped in for a quick lunch special to go. Got 3 items. The 2 Pad Thai were fine. Also got a noodle dish. It was OK but swimming in oil. Flavors were good but they need to pay attention to the finished product.

Enjoyed the shrimp chips they give you as an app. Got the Pad Thai meal...lots of food! They made it perfectly spicey and I had plenty to take home. Average prices and really friendly service. Definitely will return!

This is one of my favorite places in Boise to get Thai Yellow or Red Curry! They give you plenty of food and don't skimp on the portions. The flavor is so good! (I can't quite seem to master the curry I make at home) I also enjoy their Pad Thai and Pad Sew Yoo. They give you awesome shrimp chips before your meal and they are extra yummy if you add the thai chili sauce on them. The plus for me is the service I get every single time I go in. The same gal is usually working and is so sweet! We went in tonight about 45 minutes before closing, and stayed right up until 9pm and she wasn't upset at all. My friend got her leftovers to go and she even brought us out some fresh jasmine rice!

Great food and great service. Their Tom Yum Gai is excellent. I had the 34 entree and couldn't stop eating it even though my lips were burning. The best Thai is when you can't quit despite the heat. Best Thai I have had in Boise.

Best Pad Thai in town, love the fresh rolls-can be a stand alone meal, and coconut ice cream w/ sticky rice is awesome. My husband loves Pho and all their curry meals. The kids are nuts for the cream cheese wontons!

My husband and I have been coming to this place about once a week because we enjoy their pad thai. We are vegan and they have always been willing to omit the fish sauce, oyster sauce and egg from our meal. We have been getting the feeling that they don't like us because of our dietary restrictions but hoped that our regular patronage and generous tips were enough to keep them from being too annoyed with us. Last night we were there for dinner and were the last people left in the restaurant. After dropping our food off, our waitress, who I believe to be an owner, went back to the kitchen and started talking about us with the kitchen staff. While they were saying things about us being in Idaho too long and how our food had fish sauce but we would never know, we sat with empty water glasses. Then we sat with empty plates, hoping that someone would take them away and a cook came from the kitchen, looked at me and went back in. That experience was absolutely horrible! The entire staff was mean and did not treat us the way regular customers should be treated. Never again will I give them our business.

I love this place and I'm strictly rating on taste of food I could get into all the other facets but when it comes right to down to things it's about how the food tastes, first and then on down the line. I think they are about the latest that you can order Thai food in Boise. Or should I say the latest I have found

I love Bangkok! As far as Thai restaurants go in the area, it's by far one of my favorites. It's always a great choice for lunch when I'm working in the area, as the lunch prices are around $7.00 a plate and the size seems to be the same as dinner, just less expensive. Everything has wonderful flavor and presentation. My favorite choices are the Pad Thai with Chicken, Green Curry with Chicken, and Pad Se-Ew. Chai Gior is a delicious appetizer as well! The servers are all sweet and I never have an issue getting in and out promptly on my lunch break. I agree the heat level is inconsistent. You pick 1-5 on spiciness and it really changes every time. Once I got it too hot to even eat, and other times I was having to add extra chili paste. Great flavor, great value, great service. I'd highly recommend it.

This place is great!! The rice soup I believe it is called was really tasty I could have had a whole bowl of it. I had the Pad Thai with beef and it was just so tasty. My husband had some duck soup also good the broth was so flavorful.

Really nice menu. Kind of an awkward setting for the restaurant itself, but the food makes up for it with great flavor. Ive come back a few times, and it's never is quite spicy enough. Lunch buffet is a really good deal. Lots of great vegetarian friendly dishes w/ curry and/or tofu. Try the pineapple fried rice if you're having trouble deciding!

We sat outside discussing whether or not to go in. When I see only two customers inside a restaurant, on a weekend night, I get nervous. BUT ....alas.... we just beat the crowd. Soon after we sat down, the crowd arrived. Extensive menu. So happy to see a specific vegetarian section on the menu. A spice level of "3" on my dish had my lips burning, but yet with the flavours of peanut sauce, I couldn't stop eating it. Small/intimate setting. Only one server, so your service is relaxed yet attentive. A nice surprise for Boise.

Good food and very friendly staff. Service is not the most prompt, but not unbearably slow or inattentive. Food, for Boise, gets 3.5 stars. If you're visiting from a bigger city on the west coast, it's about a 3. Overall, I'd say it's comparable to Chiang Mai restaurant, but Bangkok Thai is a little bit cleaner.

I Have only ordered take out here, but it is always a good meal for a decent price. I can never remember what i got the last time, so I'm usually trying something new. Don't let the strip mall location deter you from giving this place a shot.

I would agree with Gabe, the heat level is a little all over the place, but it also means that the food is actually being made fresh, obviously not out of a bag here!! I have only grabbed takeout from here, but have done so 4 times in the last few weeks and everything was delicious, they have a huge variety and everything I have had was really good. The smell alone is fantastic, actually tastes real, very strong flavors.

The food is really good. My only complaint is that the heat level is inconsistent. I usually ask for a 3 on a 1-5 scale and sometimes it is a little spicy other times not very and then at times it is downright hellfire. Last time I ordered a "3" the heat level was insane. I ate it anyway because it was so good. My wife took one bite and was like "Oh my god!"

Had lunch there today. Pad Prik King - nice selection of veggies. Good quality nam pla on the side. I've had a better experience in the past. My companion's drunken noodles had a dank aftertaste. Daughter's curry was over tumericed (e.g. bitter). I think I will stick with Chiang Mai on Emerald and Orchard.

They have pretty good selection on thai food on the menu. Service was good too. I had ordered their pineapple fried rice. It was decently displayed on the pineapple shell. However, the taste was not all that impressive. There were large semi-raw tomatoes in the fried rice and not much of anything else. A few pieces of chicken, cashew nuts, and egg here and there, but overall it was all soy-sauce fried rice. I even tried their thai ice tea. Very good price for a good portion of thai ice tea, but okay in taste. There were enough tea flavor and too much milk. I had better thai ice tea somewhere else, but this place's thai tea would pass if you are looking for something pretty decent to drink with your meal.
