I would normally give Pita Pit a 4 or 5 star review, because it's delicious. But the manager, Melissa, at this particular Pita Pit has the worst attitude and has completely turned me off to this location. The Iowa City location has a much nicer staff. I will travel the extra 15 minutes for my pita next time.

Always wanted to try this place and when I think of pitas I think gyros. To start the meat was frozen and then grilled. 4 very thin slices for this ginormous pita bread. I was asked if I wantes double meat, but even double meat would not have been enough. I must say the toppings and pita were fresh but really put to shame a true gyro. If you want a real gyro this is not the place to go. If your looking for a lettuce wrap then hit it up.

It's pita pit, if you've been to one you know what to expect. Keep your expectations rational and you'll appreciate what you pay for. It's better than subway, but that's backhanded compliment. This place won't impress you much but it's nonetheless satisfying. If they want to improve they could add a bit more meat for the orders and offer to grill the veggies and cheese on the stove top but my guess is that they're complacent where they're at.

If you head into this particular Pita Pit, it's unlikely that you'll be disappointed. Their set-up is a little strange, but otherwise the place is fine. The food is good, relatively fresh, and I love that you can customize your meal to suit your appetite. I rank this place only 2 stars, though, due to a terrible experience with their delivery drivers. I only live 2 blocks away, and the 3 times I've ordered delivery has been a farce. The first two times, I waited over an hour and a half to get my pita. In that time, I could have walked there and back twice over (and admittedly, this was sheer laziness on my part) Still, I did not receive a call or an apology for the service. The final time, I waited almost 3 hours for the pita. I called after an hour and a half and they said they'd forgotten and they'd get it together shortly. Another hour later, and still no pita. I phoned them and told them nevermind. A sullen employee told me I couldn't cancel because it was already on its way. Another 20 minutes later, the delivery driver phoned me to tell me he'd somehow gotten lost in the 2 blocks to my building. I told him to forget it. I avoid this particular location due to this terrible customer service experience.

I have only tried Pita Pit once, but I was quite disappointed. I will say the menu offers great variety when you consider all the vegetables and sauces available. However, the "grilled chicken breast" in my chicken caesar wrap was clearly not sliced chicken breast, it was instead some kind of processed, formed chicken like you'd find in chicken nuggets. It had an off taste and a weird spongy texture. For a place that advertises "Fresh Thinking, Healthy Eating" that was surprisingly not fresh chicken! Very odd. I was not at all impressed by this experience but given the variety of the menu I may try this place again.

You want something that tastes good and is easy on your budget? Hit the Pita Pit. They have a variety of choices that will satisfy you no matter if you are a 'carnivore' or an 'herbivore'. And if you are tied to your desk during the lunch hour (or any time) they can deliver! They have their menu on their web site pitapitusa.com , so you can call in your order, or know what you want before you go. Easy on the budget and yummy in the tummy. That's a combination that is a win-win in my book.

Eh, just okay for me. Chain pita, it is what it is. They kinda have a subway set up has different type of options but just didn't do it for me. Some of you may like it, I wouldn't go back rather go elsewhere. Judge this one for yourself, not my type here.
