Nothing special. Food was typical. Service was alright, but I did see the guy at the front counter texting or whatever on his phone, not even noticing the people coming in. Could have been a lot worse.

Had the chicken and waffles. While it did not taste like "ass" as one reviewer said, the waffles were not crisp and hot like the chicken was. I'm sure they don't hold a candle to true southern chicken and waffles. It was good for my first experience.

There was nothing that really wowed me about this restaurant. It was actually a pretty sub par IHOP. The whole restaurant feels cramped, the greeter and cashier are friendly, but the waitresses act like you're a burden to them and try to get you out as soon as possible. I had to ask to have regular maple syrup for my pancakes (I thought that would be a given at a pancake restaurant). Also, while I was still eating, the waitress asked me if I was done with the ketchup bottle (which I also had to ask for). I told her yes and she turned around and gave it to the table next to us. Just not the best experience, and I definitely wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes for this place when there are plenty of better options. At least the food was decent.

Food was marginal at best. The service is extremely slow today. They don't have the staff to be able to handle a Hawkeye game day Saturday morning. Once you catch a waitress, make sure you order. It'll be 10-15 minutes before you see him/her again. The food was hot when it got to the table, but it was barely even cooked. The hash browns had good a good char on one side but we're still undercooked when served. Don't ask for onion with your hash browns, because you'll just be eating onions(raw). It took another 10-15 minutes before we got our check. Disappointing start to the day!!

This place is the worst! They don't allow breast feeding women to feed their children which is against the law btw. So if you want a family friendly place don't go here!!!

Bad service and bad food. I got a piece of ham the size of a egg yolk. Soggy hashbrowns. Cold toast with no butter. And our waitress begged us not to talk to her manager bc she was already in hot water with him. Who says that??

Pretty standard IHOP and a good place to get filled pancakes at any hour of the day. We find the folks here are very friendly and are ready to provide anything that involves eggs and/or carbs at any time! Haven't tasted the chicken and waffles - recommend you go to a chicken and waffles place to try that - Flava-Flav has a place in Clinton that may be better for it. I bet Flav can't shake a stick at the breakfast sampler though! Worth going when you want reliably good breakfast!

The greeter was not around when we showed up even though the place was not busy. The food was ok except the butter was almost frozen and the pancakes to cold to melt it. My biggest complaint was that most of the syrups were plugged up from dried syrup. We asked for replacements and the server just put the plugged ones on a different table instead of taking them to the kitchen to clean and replace. First off, how long were the syrups sitting on the table since their last cleaning if they were plugged. And when they know they are plugged and they don't bother to clean them what else are they not cleaning in the kitchen.

I've never been much of an IHOP fan, the ordinary/bland menu just doesn't appeal to me. But it's the poor service that rates this location down. I joined a friend for breakfast and after 10 minutes and no server I finally made eye contact with a waitress and said hello to her. She looked at me and didn't say a word and kept on walking. After dropping off the check at a table I waved my arm and said hello to get her attention. She seemed confused like I had suddenly beamed down from the mother ship. "May a see a menu please? I asked. She said she'd get my waitress. I understand working their own tables but what about teamwork? What about common courtesy? How much time does it take to hand a customer a menu rather than having them wait even longer? They need to train their staff better than that is they except to stay in business.

It's IHOP! Good service, very friendly. Service great, food below ihop standards

I stopped eating at the place because it smells so bad--like rotten eggs! I have, however, had take out, but after finding hair in my fruit and dealing with the usual poor service--from the wrong order to unfriendly staff, I'm calling it quits!!! I do not recommend this dirty place to anyone!

Ass. The Chicken and Waffles tasted like ass. And that made me sad.

The food was absolutely atrocious. Not only was it cold, it tasted like it had been sitting all day. The bread tasted like 3 month old fryer grease. The bacon was stale and stringy and The waitress leaned on a table the entire time. With the quality of the service and the abysmal food, it's a wonder the place is still open. Noticed several tables leaving with 3/4 of their food left. The table displays were covered in old rock hard syrup. The table was sticky and gross. Food that should have come out together came out in several small installments. The mozzarella sticks were overcooked to the point of cheese exploding all over the plate.

Oh my, TERRIBLE food and service! I ordered the chicken fried steak, it was like shoe leather. This gray colored center with a meat like substance, covered in a gross over cook corn flake type junk. The mashed potatoes tasted like dish water. TOTALLY DISGUSTING!

For an ihop, I think this one isn't bad at all. The service is usually good, fast, and friendly. Overall, I don't have many complaints and would recommend this ihop to breakfast lovers!
