Eh, won't come here. Grape slushee is more like artificial watered-down grape juice. I had to use my skills and make the straw super slim so I drink the juice first and then get the proper consistency that I wanted. dmo out.

You seriously can't beat a Blizzard - even when it's 10 below. These guys know their stuff as we often quiz about what's in a specific blizzard - not because we're pretention, but because we seriously don't remember. They'll even substitute chocolate ice cream for vanilla in the Blizzard!

I had a great experience here. All 3 workers that I spoke to were extremely friendly and helpful. The blizzard was great as usual. Better than many other DQs I've been to.

The past few times I've been to this location, I've gotten the soft serve. I consider it to be very basic and easily enjoyed. I dunno what this specific location does, but their soft serve tastes like butter that's flavored like a vanilla ice cream. It's like the textures separated and I should be spreading it like a butter over a roll. Shits weak.

Whether you're taking your adorably precocious 5-year-old daughter out for a frozen treat, or looking to engage the attentions of an ancient and emotionally-damaged male attorney with some highly suggestive-n-stylized licking, this is the place to be! Yes, their soft-serve vanilla has that vaguely chemical under/aftertaste, but what soft-serve ice cream doesn't? The ambience here is tops, mainly due to their noticeable absence of Muzac. While their benches are just uncomfortable enough to discourage serious loitering, I would imagine most of their clientele is padded enough downstairs not to notice that tiny detail. Best of all, this Dairy Queen has a surfeit of trashcans, all strategically located. Thus, if you're a suburban-raised single mommy trying to uplift your native Iowa-Citian daughter with properly enviro-conscious values, you heart will likewise rejoice. Inquiries of "Mommy, may I help keep our planet clean?" will ring sweeter than the choco-dip cones.

The place has the soul sucked out of it. The workers look miserable. But the ice cream is decent. Uhhh don't really know what to say

This Dairy Queen is just up from the Sonics on the Coralville strip. While DQ in general is a winner when it comes to ice cream and has some OK "fast food" as well, this one is one you may want to miss. The service is fast, I'll give them that. The woman who took my order and met me at the window today, however, was a big cranky idiot! She was young, blondish and not wearing glasses. She only told me my total, gave me change and said, "here you go" when the ice cream was done. She never smiled, made eye contact or exchanged a pleasant word at all. The selection is OK, though they've recently increased the price on the Blizzard treats and taped a hand written sign up over the old prices on the menu. I choose to just go next door to Sonics next time for an ice cream treat.

Sorta fast service I guess. But all the handwritten signs and lacking cleanliness give me the heebee jeebees. OK in a pinch, I guess.

I've had a bad experience with each visit to this DQ. Poorly mixed shakes, Peanut Buster Parfaits missing a layer of fudge and peanuts (hey, it's a heck of a lot more expensive than a hot fudge sundae, shouldn't it be different?), runny Blizzards, unhappy employees. In general pretty sub-par. If you've got a craving for DQ, head over to Riverside Drive in Iowa City, but skip the one on the Coralville Strip.
