Best place for me to get a plant lunch of awesome Chinese Food! I've been eating here for over 25 years and Hyrum and Henry (before he retired) serves the best Chinese on the West Side! Their food can be made fresh, even if you look at the choices and see that they're cold. All you have to do is ask for a fresh choice and they'll make it for you - if you have the time to wait. So wait! Because the food is worth it! Local family business for over 25 years! Parking is there in the mall!

I can't believe the women who works here is dirty she touch the hamburger with her hands after she left the counter ring up the costumers and make the pork hash I'm so disgusted my wife couldn't finish her food. Don't eat here

I don't come to waianae often but when I do I stop here. The owners are very kind very sweet people.the prices are good for the amazing food! I usually get the ONG choi roast pork plate or the 3 choice plate with white rice+chow funn(half half ), roast pork ham ha, eggplant, and orange chicken. If you stop here, it's essential to try their chat siu manapuas and pork hash. ITS A MUST!!

This was a random stop for me but I was highly impressed with the quality of the food and the quantity. While the outside and inside of this place is less to be desired I will say that they offer up a lot on the menu from chinese dim sum to plate lunches. They even have rice cakes..hard to find on this side. I had chicken Katsu and lets just say the plate was heavy.. good for the growing local boys. I don't eat that much but I was impressed and it was so good. My friend order the shrimp dish and had so many he had to give some away. Don't be deceived by the windows outside.. come inside. Get one super nice local lady working that is always smiling...

Hui On Fast foods is a GEM in Waianae! I wish Hui On moved to town... It may be to much to ask for. & how did I have the honor to find this place? Here is the story behind it all- I was so lucky to be invited to a few parties that was hosted by a friend's sister, she ordered food from Hui On. & everytime she orders the orange chicken, everyone loves it! This orange chicken is the only dish that is quick to disappear, So I asked her about this place.. & off we travel to Waianae just for the orange chicken! everyone thinks Im crazy traveling to Waianae from town for orange chicken.. but its totally worth it.. but now if I have an outing for Kapolei, I'll ask my hubby to make a stop for orange chicken. or when we stay out in Ko'olina, we will stop by Hui On. The prices are very reasonable, orange chicken is very tender, not to tangy, as to Pandas and other places. It just melts in your mouth goodness & you can't have just one piece! I always get the 3 item combo with all orange chicken and another 3 item combo with the other choices with chow fun. I love their chow fun also!! These 2 plates is enough to feed the fam. ( me, hubby & 2 kiddies) Cindy the owner is very nice! she is so friendly & she always remembers me when Im there. I can't wait for Hui On! so can't wait!!

As the only regarding Chinese restaurant in Waianae Mall(since Waianae Chop Suey closed some time ago), the food here is really good, considering it's fast food style. They have your usual menu(beef broccoli, chow funn, char siu,etc..), but they also have other items like new york steak, teri chicken, and oxtail soup. The prices are resonable too, with a 3 item plate costing $8.59. They also make and sell manapua, pork hash, and rice cakes, but you got to go early for these as they sell out rather quickly. The food here is reminiscient of Patty's chinese kitchen(when they were still around), which is a great thing. Great food, great prices, and generous portions.

For as long as I can remember Hui On Fast Food has been up and running. They have withstood the hands of time and for good reason. They remain "hands down" the best place to get your manapua fix on the West side of the island. Serving a variety of Chinese dishes this "little hole in the wall" dishes out large portions of food for dirt cheap prices. If you find yourself on this side of the island make sure to stop by the Waianae Mall and drop in.

My bf was skeptical at first to try this place out. I assured him that this was the best place to get cheap chinese food other than cathys inn that's just around the corner. Ever since then he loves this place especially the roast pork. Almost every week he asks if we can eat here for dinner. Lol. The service is great and food is very good. Would recommend anyone to come here.

For a fast food style joint this place is really good. They've been around for a long time and for good reason. I don't think there's anything that i've tried that I didn't like. Their portions are decent as are their prices and the dishes are full of flavor. HUGE menu too! There's the inside menu AND all the other item choices that they post up on the windows. My kids like the manapua and pork hash because there's a lot of filling (not mostly dough) and it's really tasty. Their rice cake and tea cookies are good here too.

What the hell happened here,,, this used to be my favorite chinese fast food place,, like all the typical items in fast food chinese places but was always very good tasting. Went today and figured i was in trouble when i saw the chow fun, but being famished i ordered it anyway hoping for the best, along with s/s pork and crispy gau gee. Man the food was disappointing to be kind, the chow fun was weird,,,, kinda like mashed potatoes and with no taste, i ended up eating only a little and throwing the rest out, within 5 minutes of leaving my stomache started doing flip flops, I felt better after burping the alphabet (a~z twice) but the gasious emissions needed serious venting, like head out the window venting, I feel better now after 3 hours,,, think i'll make a smoothie

Hey there are two owners and one is about to retire ok! And he probably made it but the other guy that looks as young hes got the talents and the skills you guys probably dont order the shrimp with new york steak its so much better then blaze and steaks. The shrimp tastes so good perfected with garlic and butter and the steak tender not dry at all and beyond heaven he makes a chicken salad too if you ask fresh greens and the chicken has taste not like the white chicken you get from other salads and he includes wonton strips in there. Helllooooo if guys never notice he can make desserts from scrap and everything is fresh the only reason why you probably get flips is because your not eating right . Choose the vegatables and water along with the red meat or whatever it clenses your system

Im pretty sure this is the best chinesse in waianae. The food is good, big portions and fair price. My mom is half chinesse and always cooked for us so i know what it is supposed to taste like.....NOT like panda express...yuk! If your feeling chinese ( no pun intended) HUI ON!

Lately I've been working in Waianae often, so I've been coming here about once a week to eat their Lemon Chicken (and I normally don't eat lemon chicken). As my co-worker said this is the best lemon chicken he ever had. The orange chicken is good too. Honestly I dunno if this is the best lemon chicken out there, but its pretty damn good and they give enough to split the regular 2 choices of lemon chicken w/fried rice plate and be satisfied.

The manager is soo cool and friendly , i always see him chillin and talking story with his customers when he has time. The cook is so talented he can make desserts out of the left over fresh materials he didnt use on an order. He told me he just finished making a taro based roasted duck over gravy. He made me a little black sugar taro mini dessert and OMG did that little piece taste like sugary heaven!!!!!!!! it was about a size of a small key chain and packed so much GOD DAMN FLAVOR!!! .EVERYTHING to the side orders like the gau gee, wonton, black sugar buns, char sui buns, pork hash, char sui, canton shrimp, egg rolls ALL MADE BY HAND AND MADE FRESH BY THEM. There food so zesty and flavorful they have been here for 17 years. They have so many varietys of veggies stir fry meats so you will always get the healthiest chinese food (PS. It helps you lose wieght too!) the plate lunch is so worth the price the portions are more than enough to keep you full. Versus going to blaze and steaks Yeah you got your steak, meat and What? itty bitty salad? Maybe you drown those pieces in Dressing. Dressing is extra fat but it taste good and not very good for your health either..... If you eat to much meat you wont be doing good for your body and always find yourself in the bathroom so much. Thatts why you should come to HUI ON FAST FOOD they give you a Balance of nutritious and flavor filled food

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
