So I am going to give is one star and sum it up by saying that the food didn't suck. That's the only positive thing I can say. Went in and asked if they had a kama'aina discount. The server said yes, so we sat down to eat and she took our order. She then mentioned she was sorry but there was no discount unless we had a coupon. I then asked where I could get a discount. She didn't know. We decided to stay and ordered. I went across the way to another part of the mall and found a coupon book with the coupon and brought it back. Really? She couldn't just give the coupon, she had to send me out in search. Then my wife orders a bubble tea, 35 min. later we ask if the tea is coming, 5 min. Later she comes back and says they are all out. My wife's curry comes, its awful, we send it back. Bill time, they try to charge us for half the curry. She also chastises me and tells me "it is your fault". Fun.... Never going back, why are owners always so confused when they go out of busdiness?

First time there was ok. Typical Vietnamese waitress...no smile. Just hand you the menu, take order, bring out drinks and food. Food was ok but won't survive in San Jose or Westminster. Came back second time and the service was horrible. We notice the menu (the prices) was different. Asked the waitress and she said owner just made new menu. Really? The menu was sticky, little torn at the corner...she kept insisted it's brand new. Our kids were hungry so we moved on and order the same dish for the kids. We notice the family plate was no longer there but the price is for single. So we asked how much different is the portion cuz we want to make sure is enough for the kids. She said same portion but instead of 4 pork chops, it has 3. 4 and 3 are not the same. She was getting pissed and annoyed. So we just order one portion. Then I order my pho but for some reason she didn't write it down. So when all the food came out, my pho wasn't. So I had to wait for my pho. And when she came out with drinks and napkin. Omg, she put down only for the adults. We had 4 kids with us. She gave everyone napkins and drinks when we came first time. So her attitude definitely change when we question the menu. The next day, we found out a cruise ship came to Maui. So add about 1.50 more with less portion for everything on the menu for cruise ship customer...we also try Ba Le. Not bad...but definitely better service.

TRY THE PHO: This soup is rich and complex, which makes it stand out from all the other MSG-based broths found in most vietnamese restaurants. I've had plenty of pho, and this bowl set a new standard for me. Chicken Curry Vermicelli: I was pleasantly surprised--it is not like your typical summer noodle salad, which was what I was expecting. Once you mix everything in, it tastes much like Singapore noodles. Still very light and supremely flavorful, and I would definitely order it again.

I come here all the time! I love this place. I've tried: Pho, Combo fried rice, pork chops, baked chicken, tofu pad thai and chicken pad thai. I've always liked my food there. Yum. Like the other reviews, it's tucked in the back of the Wharf so it's easy to miss. It's next to the Mexican restaurant and the bar pub. But you can smell the pho from outside on the days she's making it! OMG! :) I'm craving some, just typing this. P.S. Sit outdoors on cool breezy days, if not it's really HOT.

This is the worst restaurant I have been to in Maui. I asked for Tofu Summer rolls with peanut sauce but was given pork rolls with fish sauce. For my entree the guy recommended veggie pho and it took him 20 minutes after he broke my vegetarianism before he told me the broth was not vegetarian. I told him I was tired of waiting and the guy still made me pay for the pork spring rolls!!

Just moved from Sacramento and was craving pho and saw this place on yelp. Although there was only one size option here unlike Sacramento I was pleased with the size and thought it tasted realllly good. Downside to this place was seating; I felt squished and uncomfortable until the person behind me left and I was able to move my chair back. They do have outdoor seating tho but I think they will forget about you out there. If you aren't a patient person don't come here but if you are, enjoy ;D

This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Lahaina....I end up eating there two to three times a week when I'm living on Maui because once I start thinking about their sizzling clay pot hot pot, I start salivating. The sweetest, sassiest lady runs this place - cooking in the back and all - and serves up some great grub cooked with tremendous heart. She really cares about her patrons and the fresh quality of her food. I usually get the tofu clay pot hot pot, which has the perfect amount of crispy rice on the bottom...and her pork chops are absolutely delicious, tender, and full-flavored. Her fresh island fish dish is also amazing, which is served up with fresh ginger and green onions - and her secret sauce recipe. She uses a mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese flavorings, which come out wonderfully - complete with homely decor comprised of smiling fat gold cats and a full fledged Asian beer bar. At $25 for a dinner for two, it's hard to beat! You will come out smiling with a bulging belly. Park on the back side of Front St. at the Wharf Cinema Parking Lot, and you can get your parking validated for free.

I love this place, it's just cute. I've never eaten inside I always order take-out. My favorite thing to get there is lemongrass chicken. It comes with two big scoops of rice, its nice spicy delicious chicken atop a bed of lettuce and onions. I love their thai iced tea and they have some good looking other strange flavored tea drinks I still need to try. The ladies are nice and I like the decor. I have also tried and enjoyed their yellow curry with shrimp and their spring rolls are good. Not huge on the sweet and sour sauce with the rolls, so good thing I keep a store bought sweet thai chili sauce at home. It's less expensive than Thai Chef, my lemongrass chicken and a thai iced tea is like fifteen bucks. I would definitely recommend this place, its a nice little mellow spot to have a meal or go grab good takeout.

We were in the mood for some Vietnamese and we looked through the travel guides and found this place. It's way in back of the Wharf Street Mall...sandwiched between a taqueria and an Irish bar. We sat outside and ordered our food. My gf ordered a bowl of Pho, which was a little disappointing. My friends wife ordered the fish...which was fresh and prepared perfectly with soy sauce and scallions. My friend and I orded a couple of clay pots. The food was flavorful and filling. Total cost was under $60 including some ice coffees. This place is not bad, but there is a better one. You'll have to check my other review.

Maui is truly limited in restaurants. So it's nice to finally found a Vietnamese restaurant after eating American food for the last 5 days. The ph was decent. And a fresh coconut juice is quite refreshing on a hot humid day.

I cannot explain how satisfying the meal was at Pho Saigon. Meal after meal of expensive and so-so food in Maui, we found this inexpensive gem. We took the option to sit at an outside table that was in a blocked off section just five steps away from the entrance. We were greeted by the waitress promptly. When I inquired if the broth in one dish was vegetarian or meat based, the waitress didn't seem to understand me. She kindly told me to wait a second while she got her sister to answer my questions because the sister was also the cook and spoke english better. She helped answer all of our questions to help us decide on our order. We shared the vegetarian spring rolls and garden rolls. They were delicious and flavorful. The springs rolls were fried perfect where the outside was crispy but not oily. I got the Tofu and Mushrooms with Rice in a hot pot. The sauce had a lot of flavor and it was a bigger portion than I expected. What made me love this dish was the rice on the bottom formed a crust since it was touching the hot pot metal. Perfectly crunchy and not burnt. YUM! My boyfriend got the pork chop rice. Found out when asked the sister/cook the difference between the regular pork chop rice and the family one was that regular dish had one chop and family dish meant two chops. It had lots of flavor and the pork chops were moist. I wish we could have eaten here more than once during our trip to Maui.

Loved the food: pad thai and fried tofu. This is one of thebetter thai/vietnamese places in lahaina. Service friendly. This is a family run restaurant so its a little quirky but its fun to see the cooks through the window to the kitchen. This place is in the wharf center on front street. Go here instead of saigon seafood across from mcdonalds on wainee. This place is also better than"pad thai" around thecorner in the same mall.

Yes, I went for Pho in Maui.. needed a bit of home since it's been so long since I slurped some yummy noodles but Pho Saigon was god awful! I had the seafood noodle soup and it was sweet. SWEET?!?! It's a vietnamese place, not a thai place. The server was thai I think but I found out later that the cook was vietnamese (por shame!). I didn't mind the hour wait for my meal since I understand it was only the 2 of them and we had a big crowd but my tummy was anxiously awaiting something hearty and good! Their spring rolls were the best ever though, big and fat with succulent shrimp and not a piece of pork in sight, was worth the awful soup, kinda.

Had lot of vegetarian options. Ordered Tofu clay pot, tofu fried rice and shrimp fried rice. Tofu fried rice was really delicious. Tofu fried rice and shrimp fried rice were also good. The quantity was really good and price was very reasonable. Not much wait time to get your order.

This place is located in a cool little building in laihana by the banyan tree. Coming from chicago, I really have pretty high expectations for pho. Overall i can say this place was not bad. The variety is a little weak, no tendon or anything like that, but the broth was decent. I think a bowl was about 9 dollars. We also got the fried spring rolls which were good but 8 dollars for 4 was a little ridiculous (they are small). Anyways, I know I only gave this place 2 stars, but Id still come back to get my pho fix, in a convenient location. There is free parking a block and a half south of this restaurant.

My husband and I were looking for a decent dinner place in downtown Lahaina and according to our guide book, they gave this place a great rating. Seeing it was almost 9pm, we called and let them know we were a few minutes way and they waited for us. After locating the restaurant (it's tucked away in the plaza in the same building as Wharf Cinema), we sat down and ordered a Beef Pho, Green Papaya Salad with Tofu and Fresh Lemonade. Both were out of this world! We liked it so much the next time we took our friends to the restaurant and everyone loved the food. It really made our evening (again)! Thanks and delicious and affordable Vietnamese food ^_^

Our family decided to eat here after 4 days on the island and eating no so good food. My mother was craving pho and it was between 2 restaurants in Lahaina. The place is really hard to find so call them if you get lost. The pho selection was limited but had the basics and enough to satisfy our cravings. We order the traditional beef pho, shrimp spring roll and chicken fried rice. The pho was surprising good, expensive compared to what you get in California but good. The fried rice was really good and the spring roll was so so. If you are looking for pho on Maui, I would highly recommend this place. The service was good and really a nice break to plate lunches.

The pho here is very good. My wife and I got the beef pho and summer rolls. The rolls were very fresh and surprisingly big: about 6 inches long with 2 jumbo shrimp. The only complaint I had was the service. The waiter put in our order backwards, so our pho came before the appetizer. Other than that the experience was nice.

Our second trip to Maui. This time we tried some of 4 stars restaurants like 'The Gazebo', 'Star Noodle', 'Sea House', etc. However, we did try 'Pho Saigon' one of a few Vietnamese restaurants in Lahaina. we both order Pho 'rare beef' and 'rare beef with meat ball'. it tastes really good and the broth like authentic delicious home made and we got good quality meat. The only thing is it in a corner of food court plaza on Front street, it little bit hard to find but it is worth it to give them a chance. I definitely come back here on my next trip.

Im happy I found this place, After being on a Cruise I was getting tired of the Fancy Smancy Formal Dinners and enjoyed my Chicken Pho with Spring rolls and a Thai iced Tea Please! im probably giving this one more star than it may deserve just because it was a random find that really made my day.

Not bad...but definitely better service.
