We scored finding this place. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful 6 night stay at the House of Fountains in early October. It really is paradise. We stayed in the Ali'i Suite for our first 4 nights, and had to switch to the Lokelani Suite for our last 2 nights because the Ali'i Suite was already booked for those nights. Both suites were great. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and a pleasure to be around. We were the only guests there our first four nights, so it seemed the staff catered to us. They seemed to only be around when we needed them, and we felt we had the entire house to ourselves the rest of the time. When we woke up, Tatyana already had our breakfast spots all set up and brought out our breakfast immediately. There were two days that we got a very early start, and both times Tatyana packed us a little food bag the night before - a nice array of things like fruit, pretzels, cereal, granola bars, juice boxes, etc. It's very quiet - we slept great. One thing to be aware of, though - even though it is quiet, the rooms have very thin curtains, so we woke with the sunrise most mornings. Each room has a private bathroom and the showers are large. Each room has a wall safe, but you don't need it - it's a very safe area. Free parking. The saltwater pool is great, and there are plenty of supplies you can borrow for free - including beach towels, snorkeling gear, pool toys, boogie boards, etc. There are tons of books/brochures/binders with information about anything you could possibly want to do on the island. They even have a little yoga/mediation room for guests to use! It's about the same price as a decent hotel, but so much nicer, and with delicious, homemade breakfast included. When we come back to Maui, we will definitely be staying at the House of Fountains again!
Really amazing B&B! Nothing bad to say! Feels like luxury vacation in paradise.
Greatest mini vacation I have ever had! And all thanks to the house of fountains. Amazing house, rooms were awesome and so was the view from the balcony. The location was awesome because your so close to several great beaches and shops. The owner makes a nice maitai everyday for happy hour too which was fun. It was such a better experience than staying in a hotel! The cook also made extraordinary breakfasts. Egg soufflé one morning and strawberry banana crepes the next. Fantastic!

Stay here and experience the best B & B on the island. Amazing house and grounds. Dan, Amy and the girls are the best. Breakfast is wonderful and fresh. Last but not least Gentlemen the outdoor showers are liberating!
We had an amazing stay at Ho'oilo House. Situated in the mountains of Maui, this small B&B is perfect for couples. The grounds and the views are stunning. The decor is Bali inspired and beautiful. Rooms were small, but clean and the main family room area is lovely. The hallways are open air and the showers are all outside (but private). Perfect place to stay for the first week of our honeymoon. The breakfast every morning was also delicious--esp. the homemade muffins. My husband and I talked with the B&B owner Dan often and he provided great places to eat on the island. It was also handy that the house provided beach chairs, umbrella's boogie boards etc. Someday we will be back! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Back for another stay of three nights. The finest bed-and-breakfast we have ever stayed at. The ambience is wonderful. Worth every dollar you pay for this wonderful place. Breakfast was awesome. Room accommodations were excellent. The views are stunning. This is part of Maui you cannot skip

The bread was worth the trip alone, and the rest of lunch didn't disappoint either. Friendly staff, fresh food, and did I mention delicious bread? I got the Wailea, which had turkey, bacon, avocado, and loads of fresh veggies. My son had a simple ham and cheese and along with a couple of sodas the whole thing was still under $20, which is a pleasant surprise on Maui where things are generally expensive. Cash-only (as indicated on Yelp already) and quite cozy. Grab a table outside and take your time with the best sandwich in Lahaina.
Let's be honest. On a honeymoon, you've got more important things to do than worry about where to eat. Well stop wasting your time reading a million reviews, and check out this place. It's a great place to stop if you want something quick, yummy, and that won't break the bank.
I could give this place 5 stars just for the bread alone!!! Thankfully there are other great aspects to it: local, fresh, affordable and delicious! My favorite kind of place to eat when traveling (locals favorite spots). We had the chicken Teri sandwich and I admit I wasn't excited to try because i was imagining subway, but this is NO subway, it's amazing! Softest, most perfect sub loaf I've ever had. Teriyaki was very tasty and had that homemade taste you just can't get at bigger delis. I will definitely be back to try more! Also read a great tip to order sandwiches for the plane.

Best Tuna sandwich on the island. Great pineapple too. Lots of aloha. Akamai
Picked up a couple of tuna sandwiches and some cut up pineapple for a quick lunch on the go. The people were super nice, the sandwiches were huge and the bread was super fresh. It's not the kind of place where you expect a gourmet experience, but it's good.
Sure there are ways to maybe get your mangos, sweet Maui onions, and pineapples, but getting anything through Hawaii Ag inspection that doesn't have a seal and a stamp is a crap shoot. Do you know how many papayas I've left at OGG??? Take Home Maui is a decent alternative. Most visitors are going to spend at least one day in Lahaina anyway, so get a box of onions to bring home. Toss in a papaya for me as well. They also can ship your island grown fruits and veggies via UPS so you don't have to deal with anything at the airport, but what fun is that?

Hawaiian Village Coffee

An excellent coffee shop! We were staying at the Valley Isle, just down the road, and thought we'd give Hawaiian Village a try since it was such a short walk. Really good coffee, including the best Chai Latte and the best Iced Mocha I've had to date. Prices are average; just under the Starbucks threshold. All the staff are very friendly, and there are many repeat customers that live/work nearby (sure sign of a good business). In my opinion, the coffee and beverages here are of higher quality than most Starbucks locations (and I'm a fan of Starbucks). I also noticed their selection of Kombucha on tap, which I'll be sure to try on my next visit to Maui and Hawaiian Village. Parking is excellent, and it's also within walking distance of many Kahana-area hotels & condos. Only negative I can think of is that there can be a 10+ minute wait at peak times, but that's true with any good coffee shop. There are some tasteful souvenirs available, as well. I'll be back for sure!
Cute little cafe. Coffee was decent, mine was lukewarm and my husband's tasted a tad burnt. His blueberry muffin was a bit stale but my breakfast croissant was delicious. Service was so-so...overall an average experience for us.
This is my favorite part of the day! The gals and owner are super friendly and nice. I love love love a Coffee Frap with the smootie mix or low fat frap! Way better than starbucks. I also just switched to decaf and the flavor is even better. Best little hideaway with cool music and vibe. Thank you for always taking care of me!

This place was truly paradise! We loved every minute that we spent here. Sam, the manager, is just fabulous. The rooms were so clean and charming! The pool was a perfect temperature and it felt like a little oasis even though it's only one block from the bustle of Lahaina. The breakfast was delicious, the ambiance was so wonderful, and the other guests were all so pleased with this hotel. I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends and I truly hope to come back again! We also really enjoyed fresh mangoes off the huge tree and the little geckos that greet you by the poolside. A little slice of heaven!
I LOVED staying at the Plantation Inn!! So glad I chose this place. It's located right in town just a block away from downtown Lahaina with all the resturaunts and shopping. I had one of the lanai's on the bottom floor which opened up to the pool. It was so cozy, spacious and had lots of charm. The breakfast offered daily was great, service was great, location was great and the 24 hour pool and hot tub was great. The fact that kids were not allowed was just amazing alone. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever back in Maui!
Our first stay here. Second floor room overlooking the pool area. The room was large with a king bed, lounge type chair, desk, refrigerator, balcony with wicker chairs overlooking the pool and patio area. It is very centrally located one block from Front St. in Lahaina. Staff was friendly and the breakfast which was included was flavorful. Not much more you could ask for.

Love the fried rice here! Baked chicken & Pork chop is to die for!! Also tried clams w/ black bean sauce.. Expect to wait order more time because there's only one cook..
Got the pho and spring rolls. The pho tasted GREAT!! The only thing that sucked was that they had no AC. So make sure you're really in the mood for pho or you're eating super early in the morning when it isn't too hot out yet.
We were craving for Viet food and found this place in Lahaina. I ordered the combo pho, which cost about $13! I guess can't complain about the price since everything in Maui is expensive. For $13 pho, it only has meat balls, tripes, and slice beef. It was okay, nothing unique. Their thai tea however was pretty good. The menu is in english so the dish is cater toward american tourists.

The lady who took our order was super friendly and their shakes were great while we waited for our order. We both got the teriyaki burger and I think we should've each gotten something different for our first time here. We weren't bowled over by that particular combo (I thought it came with pineapple but it didn't, I'd make sure to add it next time) but the burger on its own was really good. Fries were also good so as long as they're still around the next time we're back on the island, we'll be coming back!
We've been here on Maui a month and were needing a burger fix. One of the guys that works at the place we're staying recommended Teddy's. It was on my "try" list but had forgotten about it. So we went around 1pm. Burgers hit the spot, french fries were fresh fried, onion rings were OK, doubt if I'll get them again. Total bill was 25$, a little high, but not too bad. Kinda reminds me of Five Guys in a good way they have more choices which is good.
Good and very fresh! The buns disintegrate though. Also I had heard the milkshakes were great but they were out of chocolate and strawberry which is pretty odd

Love the poke bowl. The seasoning in the rice is amazing. Service was very friendly. I had better fish on the island though, but with that being said the fish was still pretty fresh. I never understood people who complain about the price here. It's Maui. It's expensive to live here. Get over it. If you can't stomach the price. Prob should vacay somewhere else.
Small little tucked away gem. Once you try this fresh fish, you'll never want anything less. TNT is a must try dish!! And miso butterfish was a foogasm! Owner Shawn catches all the fish and even makes his own ice cream. Green tea ice cream was amazing! Can't wait til they open up on my side of town...Kihei! Yeah!
There sushi is amazing everything is fresh and local!! If you want great sushi go here you won't regret it. It might be small and you might have to wait a few minutes but you can always order to go and it's just as good! Staff are super nice and friendly. Ask what they caught today.

Hubby and I came here at 5:30p without reservations and was lucky to secure a high top table. Ahi poke appetizer was good, salads were standard. He had the monchong dish which he loved. I had the mahi mahi entree- waitress told me it wasn't spicy but it was, so didn't enjoy it. We had the cheesecake since some yelpers said it was amazing. It was good but wouldn't reorder. For both of us, we spent $150 here. View was nice but similar to our hotels.
Love it here! Can't wait to return! Excellent service, incredible food and breathtaking views!! The Mai Tai is prepared in a unique way with a frothy topper - you need to try one!! The food is some of the best flavors I have had in a long time!! Definitely a must if you're in Maui!!
Gorgeous views, friendly staff and the best Mai Tai on Maui!!
