I stopped by here for the first time this morning to grab an acai bowl and the lady working was so sweet! Overall I was very happy with my acai bowl, the only thing I was a little disappointed about was, there was only about 1 1/2-2 very small strawberries in my acai bowl, and I looove strawberries! I think one more little strawberry would have been perfect!

Nice place to get bubble drink and acai bowl. Yes, Thang was good. But for me, it was too much of sugar. I tried vita juice's strawberry wow with bubble and it was just right for me. I am not an acai bowl fan but I love having acai bowl here. It's only $6.5 and very close from my house and super yummy!! It was came with granola and strawberries and bananas + honey. You can add toppings(blueberry...etc) for 50cents. The acai part is not really milky which I like a lot. I also like the fact that they use grounded granola. Those granola that other shops using is hard as rock! I always order regular and it is big enough. Please try when you are around HPU. They will not disappoint you! Oh!! The lady is super kind +++

I tried a small guava smoothie ($3.89) and while it had some guava in it, it tasted mostly of banana! So fair warning, let the lady know to tone down the banana if you're not into it. I'd be interested to check out their bubble teas and acai bowls!

When I tried the acai bowl for the first time at Vita Juice, I wasn't sure if I was a fan. Don't get me wrong, the combination of an acai pack (or two if you prefer), crunchy granola, fresh bananas and strawberries with a generous helping of honey is pretty much a home run on all accounts despite the simplicity of the dish, but considering I'd never had an acai bowl before, I had nothing to compare it to. Fast forward to a couple of weeks after my initial visit to VJ, where I am craving for an acai bowl but am nowhere near downtown to get one so instead, try Jamba Juice's version. Ugh, not only were they out of bananas (seriously?), but the acai bowl they gave me wasn't even fresh! The strawberries were frozen, the granola was flat and moldy, and the acai was bland. It was in that moment of disappointment that I realized Vita Juice's acai bowl will always be the only one for me.

I feel like this place doesn't get enough credit. The korean owner that works there is so friendly. Nicole K. and I have become regulars over there and it takes her like one minute to make an acai bowl. Always asking for honey, honey! If you give her tip, she will give you blueberries for FREE! The acai bowl is $6 and big. Very filling and filled with yummy ingredients like strawberries, bananas, crunchy granola that's mixed in......so good. Her strawberries wow smoothie is better than Jamba Juice's strawberries wild. If you're ever on Fort St. mall, stop by here! Cash only

I've never been in love with pitaya or acai bowls until I discovered this place. As an HPU student, I am always on a tight schedule trying to get on class on time and Vita a Juice knows that as well. For quick service and quality bowls, this place is the spot you have to hit. The lady who works there is open to special requests as well. I fell in love with her bowls, especially her acai and pitaya mixed bowls! They're so refreshing and delicious that even though you're full, you have to get another spoonful. A regular bowl is $7 and I don't mind spending that much for a healthy snack. It doesn't necessarily fill you up, but it makes your taste buds dance and your stomach happy. I got to the point where I ordered TWO bowls in TWO hours. They're just that good! The pictures below is the acai/pitaya mix with all bananas on top with loads of honey. She made it less than four minutes! Unbelievable!

If you are looking for a smoothie or Acai bowl without walking to Jamba Juice or umeke market, this is a pretty good option. The service is very quick! The smoothie selection looks really good, but I opted for an acai bowl. It was fresh, with light granola and honey, but I wish it had coconut flakes inside too. It was $7. Honestly, if I were craving an acai bowl, I would spend the approx. $6 at lanikai juice (the best acai bowls in my opinion) However, for downtown, this was a pretty decent place.. I'll be back to try the smoothies

Was good, try out the acai bowl. The bowl was big enough to get full off. MOOD: Full and healthy!

I've been meaning to try out different acai bowl places. I always pass here and never tried it. So I finally did. I was kind of disappointed. I ordered the 2 acai pack which means a large. Why make it so complicated and just say large. It was around $9 after tax and everything. That was so not worth it. The acai was too sweet, like too much sugar was added. The honey was just regular honey. Fruits don't taste too fresh.

Vita Juice. Wow. This review has been in "draft" for like a year, or so. Since I'm clearing out my Yelp... Vita is now officially off my unfinished list. This won't be an epic review. It's just a "I need to do it"... Vita Juice. Nothing Epic, but simple and very colorful Juice Bar in downtown. The ancient Fort Street part of town! I've only been here once, although I passed it several dozen times, but only stepped in this time because, well... I never stepped in here before. Plus, I love fruit! Nothing Epic. Vita Juice. Hmmm. I guess a tad 1970's decor, complete with the love beads and psychedelic colors. A slight scent of mothballs, or was it my imagination? Tables and chairs are brightly colored, but am the only one that noticed the stains that prevented me from sitting down here? Vita Juice. I love the swag of the mid-older Asian lady (owner?) cashier. Not the nicest, but not mean either. Yup. I got juice, well technically a mango smoothie. It was very fruity and nice. I guess with mangos and other fruit, but I didn't see her actually blend it. It was blended behind the love beads. The texture would appear to be mostly mango, but definitely fruit of some sort! I think "Vita" is a cute way of saying "Vitamin", I guess. Vita Juice. Has other fruity options too. Acai bowls, Pitaya bowls, etc. Although I would love to see it not prepared behind the love beads! It's definitely not my first choice, but sometimes eating healthy downtown is hella hard, so I support... Vita Juice! That's if you can get past the smell of moth balls and funkadelic decor... OVERALL GRADE: 3.8-STARS! (Good healthy downtown option) LIVE ALOHA... YELP REVIEW #360

Pretty good health place if your looking for something cool to eat or a quick pick up and go for smoothies or acai bowls. Price is reasonable. The Korean lady who I assume is the owner is always pretty nice and welcoming. Acai bowl was decent nothing to fancy granola strawberries and bananas didn't have the over sweetness jambs has in their acai bowls but it's always what your preference is I guess. Gave a 4 star cause came here a few times already and no complaints so far

As a long time acai bowl lover, I have been meaning to expand my horizons and try pitaya. Vita Juice, located a few storefronts down from McDonalds in Fort St. Mall, is one of the only places downtown that offer the exotic fruit, so I made a trip for lunch one day. In addition to pitaya bowls, Vita Juice offers acai bowls, smoothies, and bubble tea. Most smoothies are between $4-$5 and both acai and pitaya bowls are $7. The size of the bowls are comparable to a 16oz. bowl from Jewel or Juice, so I thought the $7 price tag was a bit steep - especially since my pitaya bowl was topped with just the basic strawberries, banana, and granola. For $0.25 more at Jewel or Juice, you could get a plethora of "fancier" toppings like blueberries, coconut, or bee pollen. The pitaya blend, which is a beautiful and vibrant pink/purple color, was a perfect consistency and texture. I enjoyed the fresh strawberry and banana slices on top, but the granola was a bit finer than I prefer. Vita Juice offers great tasting bowls and friendly customer service, but because of its higher prices, I think I will satisfy my cravings elsewhere.

One of my favorite bowl spots. It is fresh and moderately priced. They offer a ton of other goodies for the health conscious but I never try anything new. If it isn't broken why order something different?

  • Cara O.

It seems that I ordered the wrong thing from here. While everyone is raving about the Acai Bowls, I can tell you the Thai Bubble Tea was definitely not sunshine and gummy bears. I payed $4.00 for a Thai Bubble Tea that disappointed me for a number of reasons such as: -Very few boba tapioca pearls for the size of the cup -Its watered down consistency -A chalky taste that makes it hard to think of anything but a bunch of powder being stirred together with some ice and water, then poured into the cup. After viewing the other reviews and comments on Yelp, I realized I made a mistake by not choosing an Acai Bowl. I'll come another day and update a review, but if it weren't for the ratings and comments of Yelp, I doubt I'd ever been back.

  • Michelle P.

Not only does she make the best Acai, the tapioca balls in her bubble drinks are cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend you try this place if you love good boba, and the best acais.

  • Maile V.

I ordered a taro bubble tea and she said it's a minimum $7 purchase for a card transaction so I ordered a milk tea on top of that and she said I could just pick up the second drink when i want so I told her I finish work at 5 but will come 4:50 and she said okay so when I went to pick up my drink at 4:50 the store was closed. I went the next day and she said she waited til 5:30 and I didn't show. But it's fine at least the drink tasted good

I love acai bowls. I'm not gonna lie I first tried theirs about a month ago and since then I came back about 6more times. It seems like she's putting less and less fruit. I love robeks the best but this is my favorite place for acai bowls in town close to school. I love how the granola is in smaller pieces and she puts in both between the acai layers and on top. 7$ is kind of pricey but it's only because I seen cheaper.

  • Pavel S.

The best açai in town and the best customer service: you can't argue with the facts :) Nana's casual smoothie counter is a friendly and colorful spot among downtown's lunch places. I had the much raved açai bowl with some generous honey on top and i'll definitely come back for more. The bowl also comes with an indulgent mix of bananas, strawberry and blueberry and a wi-fi access access. Next time the pitaya.

One of the very best Acai bowls on the island. I also enjoy sitting and chatting with my good friend here. She is always helpful and friendly.

Fresh smoothies, cheap prices. No sugar added, just all natural fruit goodness. Convenient fort street mall location. The mango smoothie has chunks of real mango. Yum!

Best acai bowls ever... her granola is great and its layered thru the bowl so u don't run out... always fresh and the acai is thick, not runny like other places

In an attempt to be more healthy, when I don't bring home lunch or make plans to have lunch with others, I opt for acai bowls.. Hey! That's healthy right..? There are fruits... And honey and granola. Healthy yet full of calories still the same.. Ugh better than getting a plate lunch though right? :D Vita Juice is located on Fort Street Mall, a few shops from L&L ... Super tiny and pretty much a hole in the wall as other Yelpers mentioned. I'll be honest and tell you all acai bowls more or less taste the same to me.. I grade them on amount of fruits, honey, and granola ( the more the better ) but the acai part.. Taste the same to me. So, why do I like Vita Juice's Acai bowl? The Korean lady who makes it is super duper fast. She gave me a raffle ticket, bc they're doing drawings for their anniversary .. Not sure what the prize is though. And she had my acai bowl ready for me by the time I finished filling in my name and number. Also like that she puts her acai bowls in a styrofoam bowl with a cover-- that keeps it from melting. I walked back to my office with my coworker and we proceeded to talk story for nearly an hour before I remembered I had an acai bowl to eat before it melts. And it was still good and icy cold (but not too icy). I knocked off a star bc it's really expensive compared to some other places for the size... It's not that big (big enough for me though) it came out to $7 "/ Although she was generous with the granola. There wasn't quite enough bananas and strawberries for my preference. Definitely will be back :)

My favorite Acai Bowl place on the island. I work downtown, so this makes a super-convenient breakfast. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, with an odd assortment of merchandise for sale on the wall, but the owner is remarkably friendly and kind, and the acai bowls are delicious. Fresh fruit - never a browned banana or a blemished berry. Good granola (though perhaps not quite as good as Jewel or Juice). She asks if you want honey (does a bear... well, you know... of *course* I want honey!) and then gives you a perfectly generous amount. Extra fruits (whatever you like - berries of all kinds, loads of other options) available for 50 cents per additional fruit. I was curious about the acerola/cherry option instead of acai, and she warned me that the cherry was much tastier in a smoothie, as opposed to a bowl. She offered to give me a half-acai, half-cherry bowl so I could try it, and sure enough, she was right. I appreciated both the advice and the ability to try something new without committing to the entire thing. I stuffed a dollar into her tip jar one day, and she caught me. She smilingly reprimanded me for doing so, insisting I use that money for extra fruit on my bowl instead of tipping her! She made me pick a fruit before handing my bowl over! Adorable. Now, I still tip her, I'm just a lot sneakier about it. She does occasionally go on vacation when HPU is on vacation, so watch out for a closed shop over Christmas break and occasionally during the summer.

Best Acai Bowl I've had in a while. Walked in, fairly early in the morning, to get myself one of those styrofoam containers I've seen floating around Fort Street all semester. Since most other places do a terrible bowl, I was half expecting to pay out the wah-zoo and get a mouthful of powdered purple; however, while it was the price of a small plate lunch, Vita Juice's Acai Bowl is definitely worth a try and the service was excellent! The Korean lady who runs the shop was very quick about making my bowl and being sure to ask me about what toppings I wanted. When I got to my class and was able to taste it, I was very happy with my purchase! The acai portion didn't taste grainy or powdered at all; it was just like a good sorbet. The granola was good; crunchy and not too sweet. There were strawberries, bananas, and blueberries on top that tasted fresh; she didn't drown it in honey either. Could you get more for your money elsewhere? Probably, but if you're in the mood for an Acai Bowl, VIta Juice is definitely the place to go to in the Fort Street area. 24/31 31 Yelps Review Challenge

Ahh! Reminds me of college days at HPU. This is probably my favorite joint for my acai bowl & pitaya bowl fix. Not too watery and it is oh so honey-licious! The price ranges from $7-9 for the acai bowls. Great customer service, great location, but I wish there was more space to eat because I believe there's just a small counter and one mini table. The best part of it all, is that when I come to eat here, I reminisce about my college days. Can eating your acai bowl do that? Now that, is priceless. Definitely will continue to come here and Im looking forward to trying their smoothies! Tips: Walking distance meter parking for up to one hour.

Decided to check it out based on an HPU student's recommendation. The store seems kinda run down. Not the most hygienic looking place. I was greeted by a Korean lady. Super friendly and very attentive. Decided to grab a strawberry wow smoothie as recommended in the tips. Like other posters mentioned, the smoothies here are made with real fruits. While the smoothie was very fresh and tasted pretty good, it was a little too sweet and had trouble finishing it. I'd say that 4.50 for a smoothie that's made from scratch is a pretty good deal compared to a similar one from Jamba Juice. I kinda regret not getting an acai bowl, which is what this place is known for. I just thought (at least the smoothies) this place was pretty mediocre. They have a computer inside the store and you can pay to surf the internet. I guess that's a plus for people without smart phones?

    (3)
  • Kawika T.

My personal favorite acai bowl downtown. I've tried Honolulu Coffee Co, Umeke Market (or whatever they call themselves now), and I've never bothered with Jamba Juice. Every other place has been too watery and sweet to point that it tasted like there's a significant amount of added sugar. The texture and flavor here has consistently been the best.

  • Al D.

    Good alternative to Jamba.

All I ever have are the bowls and they are delish! Yes the granola is not big and clumpy but it is delish! I say stop in for something healthy and a great smile from the owner!

Dear Vita Juice, I stopped by the other day and while I was staring intently at your outer menu trying to decide whether liquid nuts would be palatable you... closed. And I wept. On my next visit, much earlier in the day, I secured a power protein or super macho protein or something of that nature. It was only available in berry flavors and though I think it would have been much better cloaked in chocolate (as are hazelnuts and ants), the strawberry was great in a protein-ish sort of way. I failed to finish the smoothie, it was like a giant meal disguised as an innocent drink. Like the gum in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory but with less flavors and without horrifying side effects. I did not feel super nor macho and disappointingly my muscles did not instantly grow, but I did feel full and certain that I met my protein needs for that day and possibly the following day as well. Should I find myself again wandering Fort street mall, which I avoid because the college students make me feel haggard, I will certainly stop in again. But next time I may go for the liquid nuts. Thanks, Angela

As my fellow yelpers said in their reviews, this place definitely does not get enough credit. The Korean lady who owns it is super friendly and I literally have to wait 60 seconds for a smoothie or acai bowl and she's done! Unlike other smoothie places, *cough Jamba Juice cough* where you have to wait around 5 minutes. She makes the best acai bowl I've had on Oahu, super fresh and big size! All of her prices are good for the quality you're paying for. I'm sorry but Jamba Juice does not even come close to how good Vita Juice is. The smoothies are huge and delicious and what I like most is she uses yogurt instead of sherbet or ice cream. I want my smoothie to be healthy, not full of sugar! They taste like how I make smoothies at home, which I really love. My personal favorite smoothie that I've become addicted to is the Berry Brainstorm smoothie. It has apple juice, goji berries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, non fat yogurt and ice, so yummy! I have to try her other smoothies though which I'm sure are just as delicious! Don't know what I'd do without you, Vita Juice!

  • Val Y.

This is a nice smoothie shop to try in downtown Honolulu. I mean if you are an Acai Bowl fan, the one here is a must try. What a value for the price! A nice combination of acai, granola, strawberries, blueberries and honey if you like; in a BIG bowl. The service and proprietress are good and friendly. I've tried most of the smoothies and have narrowed my favorites to the Hawaii -YUM Papaya, Strawberry WOW!, Berry Berry Banana and Berry Brainstorm. No real complaints about the other smoothies. These are just my favorites. Make your tummy happy and if nothing else try the Acai Bowl!

The strawberry banana smoothie is one of the best around. When the boy stops by my place, he usually makes a side trip to Vita Juice for one of those....mmMm refreshing :) I tried the acai bowl a while back during my acai phase frenzy but it wasn't very good. It was very icy, it might be better now, who knows...? Vita Juice's strawberry banana smoothie vs. Yogen Fruz's strawberry banana smoothie? Vita Juice pwns...and it's cheaper ;)

the mall off hotel street is full of homeless people and students. hats off to anyone that is able to maintain a business and a sane state of mind here. I got the acai bowl here and it was good. lots of honey and bananas, strawberries and blueberries and it was prepared faster than any acai bowl I've ever had.

Tasty little place to get acai bowls (when I'm not near Lanikai Juice!). The owner is extremely friendly- we were the first customers of the day and she dragged out a table and chairs so my friend and I could sit down! Bowls were big and was enough for two people to split a light breakfast. The store also sells some holistic/all-natural/frou-frou foods and therapy items like what you'd find in Down to Earth, if you're into that sort of thing.

    (4)
  • Miki L.

Fruity, cold and fast. That's how my strawberry, banana, mango smoothie came. Vita Juice is an interesting little shop. Run by a Korean woman, who has plastered her walls with articles about the latest and greatest health-inducing unction and potion. She's got an extensive menu of smoothie and other options like fruit and acai bowls. I spent just under 5 minutes trying to narrow my choice and figure out how the banana-berry smoothie might be different from the three-berry-banana smoothie. Subtle differences, but they were there. I like that she offers three sizes of smoothies. The "small", 16 oz for about $4 was perfect. If you're Downtown and want to cool down with something relatively healthy, stop in.

This place fits right in to Fort Street Mall and the general zeitgeist of the area, which is possibly the most comprehensive description i can give. I'm only giving it 3-stars because all I ordered was an Acai bowl (which was fantastic!), but I didn't give them much room to wow me. I will go back and try other things, but they have a delicious Acai bowl and quick service.

I tried the Papaya smoothie, but I guess it was more of a banana/papaya mix... too much banana for me - I'm a Papaya purist! I like the little covers that come on the smoothie cups... how do they get on there??... you punch through it with the straw, like it's been vacuum sealed.... but how? Lady working there is nice.

I have tried many acai bowls all over the island. The acai bowl at Vita Juice is clearly the best of them all. Good balance of flavor and quantity. Blows away Jamba and Lanikai Juice, who both try to skimp on the acai product by watering it down with apple juice or soy. If you are in walking distance to Fort Street Mall, consider yourself fortunate and stop by. AK

Had the acai bowl. For $6 comes with one package of acai, granola, bananas, and strawberries and it was ready in 2 minutes. In terms of taste, it was sweeter than the jamba acai bowl and comparable to kailua's lanikai juice acai bowl. It was very good and I would come back again.

  • Gabby V.

I am very picky about where I get my acai bowls from (I don't even like the ones from jamba juice :[ ). But i love vita juice's acai bowls because they're soooo delicious and healthy! There are only two places on this whole island where I get my acai bowls from and this is one of them :D Plus I can walk to vita juice since I live around the downtown area lol

I have never had an Acai Bowl before and live in the Downtown Honolulu area. The first time I had them here, I must say I was hooked and now get them almost everyday! The kicker is the granola, which always tastes fresh and homemade. I always get mine with cinnamon & blueberries instead of honey so it has just the right amount of sugar and spice. Plus the lady who owns the place is super nice!

    (5)
  • Nicole K.

the lady that works there is such a sweetheart. she's always asking how school is going, and she's really prompt with making smoothies or acai bowls. always packs on the honey =) the strawberry WOW is amazing! i love it. but i usually get the acai bowl. it's pretty cheap considering it's acai, and she gives good portions. i like the beads that separate the public area from the back.

The Acai energy bowl here rocks! I crave it at least a couple of times a week. Blended w/blueberries & topped w/banana, granola, strawberries & honey. Ono. I know many a businesswoman who treks it up to Fort Street Mall to get the fix. Owner is really nice & service is quick.
