This tiny bakery is located downtown next to the fisher on Cooke street. This tiny bakery has delicious sammiches!! They're really big and come with potato salad. And as far as sammiches go I think they're actually pretty good. They also have bagels and bread and what not like most bakeries, I haven't tried anything other than the sandwiches BUT I definitely plan on tryin that lox bagel :3. Overall this place is pretty simple, good quick food for people on the go.

This place makes excellent burgers. The burgers and fries are much better than Kuaaina. Their lox and bagels come with a lot of cream cheese. I tried their Russian tea cookies and they were delicious. They had the right flavor and melted in my mouth. Very very pleased with their food. The workers are ok. The girl that helped me was soft spoken and I had trouble hearing her. Their bathroom was clean and tidy.

This is the first time we try "This Is IT bakery" for breakfast,We went there to grab something to eat after done working out from UFC Gym. My hubby and I were REALLY HUNGRY and the place smells SO GOOD!! The food looks and smells fresh and tasty, I will say its worth 5 stars BUT the only reason i give it 2 is because the customer service we got from the girls were really bad! They were obviously not in a good mood which was annoying because they were so rude in terms of talking to us and how they were behaving/acting. Luckily my man was hungry so he got something and said the food is great but i'm sure we can get good food f& good service somewhere else.

I've always enjoyed the bagels here. The lox and cream cheese is my favorite, and honestly the only sandwich that I've ever ordered here. I always vow to try something else but as soon as I walk in I go back to what I know. I'm a creature of habit. The bagels have the perfect consistency--not too hard on the outside and chewy on the inside. You get 4 good size pieces of lox along with the usual veggies and cream cheese. Oh and a slice of pickle. Of course. What I love about this location is that it's spacious, clean, and there is always ample seating. I know some reviewers knock this location because of the customer service but it's not that bad. It would be one thing if there was wait service here, but there isn't. Your only contact with the workers here is like the 2 minutes it takes to order your food. Just read the menu, know what you want, and order it. I've always received friendly service, though sometimes they do get busy. I get it. Beverages are canned sodas, juices (govinda's), or bottled water. No fountain drinks. Oh, and it's 1-hour metered parking during business hours so make sure you have some coins on you!

Guaranteed great sandwich here. Whenever I want something light that will fill me up this is the place to go. Fresh food and fast service.

Worst service you can find- dirty place, dirty kitchen. I would not recommend this place to anyone

They have a pretty good turkey burger. Nothing fancy, fries or sides are extra but the bun is fresh.

It's a little dark and very sparse as far as decor goes, but I don't think this is a cutesy kind of place. I saw a lot of locals so I was confident about price and quality of the food. The bagels are big and they don't skimp on the egg & meat (I got a ham & cheese breakfast sandwich on a garlic bagel)! After the gym I was ravenous so I was pleased with the portion sizes. I saw the reviews that said the workers were rude but I had the exact opposite experience. I walked in and said, "This is my first time here - what's good?", and I received a recommendation and prompt service with a smile. :-) will definitely be back.

The bagels and breads are very fresh and flavorful. Staff is really friendly. I was there at 10:30AM on a weekday & hoping to get a breakfast sandwich but it was lunch only (and not busy at all so a good time to go if you're able to go early). I had the pastrami sandwich on rye - the bread was really soft (maybe a little too soft for rye and pastrami). Pastrami was hot and juicy, not dried out. And a fair amount, not overstuffed and impossible to eat. Comes with a pickle, potato mac salad, & donut hole. The salad could use some more taste and color (maybe some onion, celery, parsley), especially for a deli sandwich. I need to remind myself to always ask if they automatically put mayo on sandwiches because personally, I feel that mayo on pastrami (and burgers) is a sacrilege and almost ruins the sandwich. The mustard they used was good but I could do without the mayo. Atmosphere is casual, place is small with a few tables inside and a couple outside. They're obviously geared for the downtown crowd and take out. I would definiely go again.

CARBS. Probably better to not live with it, but I can't live without it. This is a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. They offer bagels, muffins, donuts and other pastries. The sandwiches are great and filling. Get here early and pick something up for the office. There's some seating inside and a couple tables outside. Sometimes you can score day old pastries or stuff they over stocked for real cheap!

Good little bakery right by Fisher's Hawaii...No parking except for street parking and I believe it's cash only. The bagels are huge, fresh and soft...they also load it up with tons of cream cheese (but you can always ask for light cream cheese). They have various varieties of bagels, cream cheese, drinks and snacks. The ladies there are also very sweet. Good grab and go breakfast bagels and a good price.

Great place to get a beagal in the morning. But they also have solid burgers and sandwiches in the afternoon. The different flavor cream cheeses are so good..

Old-school hamburger! Came out of Fisher Hawaii smelling something good! Found out about this little place just right then/there. Interior reminds me of old-school cafeterias that you used to find in various buildings when I was growing up! Nothing special. But very nostalgic! I smelled teri-sauce when I exited Fisher, so ordered it here with fries! Not the greatest burger, but it was really good none-the-less! And, it tasted old-school! Give it a try and form your opinion! I WILL eat here again!

Found this great little breakfast place and have been going there for the past 5 years. You will have to get in line though from the moment the deli opens up at 6am weekdays but with speedy service from the boss lady, you will be in and out on your way to work. Don't forget to grab your sandwich for that lunch-at-your-desk kind of day. Their freshly-baked breads are generously filled with goodness. The lox and bagel was generously made - I'm sure a close second to the ones in any NYC deli! Best time to go is between 9:30am through 11:00am for a late breakfast, early lunch. They also have challah bread, cookies, wonderful scones and muffins, oh my!

I was looking for sliced corned beef so I could make reubens at home. I have not been able to find any place else on the island that would sell me corned beef slices. To be honest, most of the other delis don't even have it on their menu. Anyway, I got there like about 2 minutes before they closed. They had already cleaned up and I think they were ready to head out as soon as 2:30 rolled around but they still took care of me. They got it out of the back for me. I was very happy with the service and when I got home and tried the corned beef I found it to be excellent! I had asked a foodie friend if he knew where to get sliced corned beef and he told me that there used to be a place in Kailua but they had closed down. He told me to let him know if I found any place. I will definitely let him know about This Is It Bakery & Deli!

I've been here a couple times and it was okay, but this past time will be my last. I would give this place ZERO stars, but that's not an option. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with swiss cheese and chips to go. When I opened my bag back at work, there were no chips! When I took a bite of my sandwich, there was no cheese! I wouldn't have been mad if the cheese was free, but they charge extra for cheese, so how can they forget it; they were not busy at all. I begrudgingly ate half of my sandwich and when i picked up the other half, guess what i spotted? MOLD!!! WTF!! Lost my appetite and threw the rest of the sandwich away.

The smell of freshly baked goods & bagels of course can be hypnotic. I love their onion bagel toasted with lox cream cheese. You know it's fresh since they bake their own stuff. It's a great place to go that's different and out of the way. Too bad they don't have WIFI and gourmet coffee, because they'd have a great following to sit and enjoy the day. For several years now they've been cooking up "hamburgers" for lunch. Oh my oh my.... This burger is sooooo juicy and tastyyyyy you really must try it to truly understand the flavors that this burger packs. I love this place. Hope you do as well.

Not impressed!! Was right across of Fisher Hawaii so it wasn't a total loss. Got there and it was nothing in the show case, very limited asked about the Challah but staff said its only made on Friday so that was a bust. Menu was limited as well stayed only 3 minutes and left to go to Fishers Hawaii.

I love bagels. I don't give a crap about the carbs. I love cream cheese. I don't care about how much fat is in it. So it entirely makes sense that I'm quite the fan of This Is It. Give me a toasted everything bagel with lox spread & I'm a happy camper. They do lean on the side of adding too much cream cheese, but I prefer that over too little. The bagels are fresh, warm & toasty on the outside, chewy on the inside, just as they should be. They have a variety of sandwiches & burgers for lunch, but I always come in the morning for breakfast so I haven't been able to try them yet. They also have an assortment of doughnuts & pastries, but like I said, I'm a bagel girl. Service here can be a little spotty. Sometimes the girls are friendly. Sometimes they're toeing the line of being downright grumpy. But the service hasn't ever been so bad that I've been deterred from wanting to return.

Would've been four stars, but I subtracted one for the service. As many others have said, sometimes the service is okay and sometimes it's horrendous! (It's never been excellent or even "good".) I go to Fisher Hawaii occasionally for office supplies and stop by This Is It Bakery for breakfast or lunch if the timing is right. I've tried their glazed donuts (good, not remarkable), bagels (good, but I'm really not particular about bagels), pulled pork sandwich (it was on special, not on their regular menu, and was a little too sweet for my taste), and a few of their deli sandwiches. My favorite sandwich there is the egg salad. It's a comfort food, not something I'd usually eat, but I like that it's so simple (I don't like it when restaurants put onions or pickles in the egg salad - I'm a purist!). Not sure if it's worth $7 for something I can easily make at home, but I since I never do make it at home I will buy it from here sometimes. The last time I tried it on their french bread and it was just WAY too much bread (and I'm a big fan of bread) - stick with the multi-grain. Potato mac salad is also good, very simple. Always need to add salt and pepper to the sandwich and mac salad, but I don't mind because I know some people prefer them on the bland side. I keep meaning to try their breakfast bagels since they sound good. Will update this review once I finally do!

Customer service is indeed lacking. I ordered a little after 11, I was told this place had great breakfast bagels... So naturally I came in wanting a breakfast bagel. NOPE not if you come in after 11. A bit silly to make cheeseburgers but not a bagel sandwich. So I ordered the cheeseburger and it was very delicious! The single slice of lettuce was not crisp but instead kinda slimy, I ended up taking it off. Management if you read this I have a few suggestions. Put a bell on your door and greet EVERY single patron. Your staff has to leave those frowns at home, A simple smile would have received a tip from me. I will return and if I'm not greeted with a smile I am turning around.

This is one of my favorite places to have breakfast or lunch. I've been eating Steve's bagels since the late 1970s when he owned Honolulu Bagels and I never get tired of them. In particular, Rossi's Special on an everything bagel is outstanding and their teri-chicken sandwich (with fries) is the best I've ever had. Kudos to the the staff, and especially to Rossi, for multi-tasking so skillfully when the place is über-crowded! I've never found parking to be much of an issue but be careful and make sure you've got plenty of time on your meter as the parking meter patrol is pretty active here. My only request is that they be open for breakfast on Sunday, but the people who work here work *really* hard and deserve the time off.

The sandwiches are good. If you go closer to closing time (2 P.M.), they are generally out of something (i.e. egg or tuna salad). The lox bagels are excellent. The customer service is okay. All the employees have been pleasant. The pastries are good. Metered parking is always available on both sides of the street. They do accept cash and cards.

Must Order: Everything bagel with lox spread, onion bialy with lox spread, other spreads Let's best honest with ourselves, Honolulu just doesn't have many bagel places. Having This Is It Bakery & Deli is like filling that small void of heavily concentrated carbs. EVERYTHING BAGEL [4 belly rubs]: We really like getting the everything bagel as a smoked salmon sandwich, but if that's just too much for you, the lox spread is a good second option. This would have been a 5 belly rubs if it was toasted. ONION BIALY [5 belly rubs]: For a long time I hadn't tried a bialy or even knew what it was and when I finally got the nerve to try it, I thought it was really good! So if you're looking to cut back on the carbs, the bialy is a great choice. Note that sometimes they run out of the everything bagel by early morning/midday. Also, by midday you can get a mixed bag of ~4 pastries for $2! Service-wise, yes they can be short with you but they're quick and efficient. Personally I prefer quick and efficient as long as they're not rude and I don't think I've had flat-out rude service here just yet. In fact, on my last visit as my bags (yes plural) of $2 pastries slid down the counter, I caught it w/ my left hand as I was signing my credit card slip w/ my right and they were like "Nice Catch!". Hey, that counts as a compliment!

This is a unique find. Parking totally sucks because it's all street parking but the food is definitely worth it if you want a sammy like mama used to make. The tuna sammy is filling and not fishy tasting bringing back childhood memories of after school snacks and the egg salad is like Grammy used to make on weekend visits to her house. How can you go wrong with sammie's like that?! The meals come with potato salad and chips and is uber filling. I normally take home a half of the sandwich because it's literally too much food to consume in one sitting.

  • Rachael C.

While the lox bagels are to die for the customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Whether you call in or just walk in, the employee's attitudes are just out of control. The women are just plain bitchy no matter how polite you are.

One of my favorite parts about working in Kaka'ako for a while is that I get to stop here for breakfast. Lots of bagel cream cheese varieties, low prices, and quick service.

No frills bakery. Bagels are pretty good and they have a wide variety - it's actually hard to find good bagels in Hawaii! They offer them toasted or with a choice of cream cheese. And can I say I just love the cream cheese options - strawberry, chives, etc. etc. And they do bagel sandwiches too! Kind of a strange location for a bakery - in the middle of warehouses in Kakaako. My only gripe... the coffee was pretty gross.

I never really heard of this place until my boyfriend brought me here. He use to work here, so I would of never ever came here it it werent for him. I came here to check it out and I loved it. It is kind of out of the way. You can find it behind the Fisher's warehouse in the Kakaako area. I think not a whole of people know of this place except the people who may work around the area or who order the breads for their restaurants. This place smells so good when you come in here. They have a huge kitchen/bakery which they cook bread for local restaurants. They have a small seating area. They have enough parking is out back and along the side street in the the front. The menu has all sort of bagels, breads, spreads, sandwich, lunch specials, grill food and coffees. The first time I came here I had a tuna sandwich with some of their walnut chocolate cookies. It was so good!!! The second time I came here I had a veggie cheese breakfast bagel. Very filling and definitely delicious. Looking forward to coming here again.

I read about This Is It from my fellow Yelpers. Sounded pretty good so I decided to try it. It was a déjà-vu experience when I entered the eatery. The place felt oddly familiar. I mentioned to the girl at the counter that it felt like a long ago place I used to frequent, the Hawaiian Bagel Factory. Imagine my excitement when she told me that they were owned by the founder of the Hawaiian Bagel Factory! I used to work for a community newspaper in Kakaako and around the corner from the Hawaiian Bagel Factory years ago and the smell of baking bagels would waft under our door every morning. I fell in love with the bagels. Plain, seeded, the works and everything in between served with cheeses, liver wurst, lox and all kinds of other kosher deliciousness. My two faves were onion bagel and provolone slathered with deli mustard and sesame bagel toasted crispy with peanut butter. I went there about three times a week. Occasionally I'd change it up with bologna. So yum. Over the years this great eatery moved then sold to Napoleons Bakery. And then one day, they were no more... This Is It Bakery & Deli has good eats. The bagels are fresh, dense and chewy. The burgers smell divine and I definitely want to go back to try one. The place was packed and it was only 10 am so they seem to have a good local following. I've been back another time since my initial discovery. It's conveniently located across Fisher on Cooke Street so stop in the next time you're picking up office supplies!

The service was horrid! That one rude lady killed it for me. We took one step in the front door and we're looking at the menu up on the wall when this lady yells out "THE LINE STARTS OVER HERE!". I guess she thought we were making our own line at the opposite end of the counter, and ignoring the current people in line. Her tone was irritated, not friendly. Surprise....I didn't leave because a friend envited me to lunch here and I didn't want to be rude. Anyways, I ordered the pastrami sandwich. I'd say it was better than okay - I'd give it an ok-plus. Overall low rating due to the freakin' bad service.

Are they going for 'authentic' NY experience? I've been to this location about 10 times in the past five years, and they've gotten my order right once. I'm not doing the Starbucks of ordering either ... today, I ordered, "1/2 dozen everything bagels, chive cream cheese, and a Pam's --without egg" ... ok, I get it, I'm an idiot, you can't get the sandwich without egg because it's omelet-style. Well, the past 9 times prior, all I got was a bagel with schmear ... yup, 9 times, and I asked for "lox spread" or, "butter" ... and they got it wrong. Anyway, I digress. Being a Jewish New Yorker- by marriage, and a New Yorker by Internet test, I quite like the 'efficiency' of deli counters. The service at this place is just passive-agressive nonsense. I felt like yelling "get over yourselves, you're SERVING BAGELS." Sheesh. The youngish woman (as my fellow Yelpers are calling her,) today snapped at me, "You want 6 -1/2 doz bagels? Or 6 dozen bagels? We don't have that..." Ummmmm, okay? 1/2 dozen. "You said, '6 -1/2 dozen..." Ummmmm, okay? I smiled sweetly and said, "Just a 1/2 dozen, please. Yah, that would be a lot of bagels...." She was not amused. She slammed around like I had ruined her whole day, (I truly do feel badly if this little exchange ruined her whole day,) and heaven-forbid I also paid with a credit card and she had to walk the length of the counter to run it. She flung my bag onto the counter and hurried away .... to the NO waiting customers behind me ... yah, there were 2 other customers after me, but I was served last, you know, it takes all that extra time to walk the length of the counter to run a credit card and to put 6 --, I mean ONE 1/2 dozen bagels in a bag ... She punished me by forgetting to include my chive cream cheese. Whatever, I'll just wait until I have a craving so strong for a bagel sandwich before coming back. Seriously, get over yourselves, it's bagels.

Excellent little bakery in the middle of Kakaako, serving bagels, donuts, and wonderful sandwiches on their own whole wheat or rye bread. The wonderful fresh smell of baked goods hits you as soon as you walk into the restaurant. Great assortment of freshly baked breads, bagels, and donuts. They also serve a very tasty "pig in the blanket", hot dog surrounded by a delicious bun. I also love their "over-sized" whole wheat and rye breads. The bread is much larger than anything you would see in the supermarket or even Costco. This wonderful bread is used for an assortment of sandwiches: deviled egg, tuna, or chicken salad. They offer mayo and/or mustard, and provide lettuce, tomato, and red onions. The sandwich includes potato salad or chips, and a pickle. Another great dish is their salmon lox with bagel and capers. Choice of anyone of their freshly made bagels with cream cheese, fresh salmon lox, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions. The bagel is very soft and tasty! 31 yelps review challenge #28/31

Breakfast sandwich is always good. It's slim pickins for bagels in Hawaii so I come here when I get a chance for a decent homemade bagel.

I have eaten here dozens of times over the years and was always happy with the food. But I'm sorry to say when I ate here today I had a hot pastrami sandwich which had to be the sadest example of a hot pastrami that I have experience in all of my world travels. I was so horrified when I open the bread up to look at the meat, that I immediately took it up to the counter and ask them to make me a corned beef sandwich . It'll be a long time before I ever come back.

As a bakery and deli, its not too bad. The thing that they need to take care of is to teach the people in the front what SERVICE means. There is one girl, with red streaks in her hair that has the worst attitude. Either the owners daughter or she has something over him as why they keep her , I dont know!! Condescending , acts as if she is doing everyone a favor.. she just doesnt get it! But of course to her, the customer is always wrong!! There are a lot of other delis that are just as good. If we take the time to come to Kakaako ( lousy parking, obscure location..) then at least make an effort to make us feel welcome! All in all... avoid this place..take your hard earned money someplace else. This is it??? more like This aint it!

Lox and cream cheese sandwich. Best sandwich in town! The bagels aren't as good as Lox of Bagel, but it's also not all the way out by Sand Island. Get there early. Some of the best stuff is gone fast.

I'm not really a huge fan of the sandwiches or the burger, but I LOVE the energy bagel with cream cheese and lox at This Is It. Of course, that much cream cheese can't be good for you, so I rarely get it, but I love all the nutrient-dense stuff like nuts and oats that they stuff into the energy bagel, and I just can't resist getting the lox and cream cheese while I'm at it. Couple of issues: 1. They offer pretty much every possible topping with every possible type of sandwich or bagel, so you have to be very specific when you order here. So if you want lox on a bagel, you'd better not ask for a lox sandwich, 'cause that isn't the same as lox between two halves of bagel -- that's gonna be a lox SANDWICH on bread. 2. Customer service is inconsistent. Sometimes, you get the really nice young girl or the super sweet aunties, but it's a real gamble. Sometimes even the aunties are super short with you. I get that everybody has bad days, but it's called customer service, you know? Overall, not a bad bet, but if it tells you anything, I work in the neighborhood but don't go there often.

I tolerated their unfriendly service in the past because I especially liked their lox bagel sandwich. Knowing this, my husband stopped there one morning to pick one up and surprise me. He did not specifically know the name of the sandwich, but described to them what was on it. Instead of working with the customer, they made him feel like a total idiot for not knowing what he was ordering, remarking several times, "You mean you don't know what you want?!" After also personally receiving bad service, with friends experiencing the same, I am forced to change my rating and from ever giving my hard earned dollars to this place again. We live in Kakaako, and do not understand why This Is It's management will not do anything to change the behavior of their workers, ultimately affecting its customer loyalty/repeat customers, which research shows provides at approximately 1/3 of a business's revenue. It is just very disappointing.

Let me preempt this by saying the food here is pretty good. They have a good selection of sandwiches and some pastries. The horrible rating is for the service. I don't care how busy a business is, you never take out your frustrations on the customers. The customer is NOT doing you a favor by patronizing your establishment. The girl who took my order may be better served working behind the scenes as she was clearly in a bad mood from the hectic demands as evidenced by her lack of personality and slamming my credit card on the counter while walking away. My belief is no matter how good your food may be, a lack of customer service is what will make you lose customers. Not coming back, rather eat at other eateries in the area with better service.

I have been coming here for a very long time. And one thing that never changes are greatness of baked goods. The bagels are always so yummy and fresh. They have varieties here and open for breakfast at 6 and open till 2 M-F. Sat 7-2. At first I came here for their lunch I just love their sandwiches whether it be the egg salad or the tuna salad or the hot pastrami it just fills you up. The huge bread and the choices of salad are just soooo good. Also a must try is definitely their cheeseburger and French fries.

I often go here if I need brownie points from the co-workers, or simply craving a good perfectly baked bagel with the best cream cheese. I have been going here for a few years now, when I stumbled upon it doing daily test drives, and found it calling my name every time I passed it. Tucked away on Cooke St, by Fisher, and around the corner from the new UFC gym, street parking is ample, service is quick, in and out and away we go! My favs are the Salt, Everything, Cranberry, plain, and Cheese bagels. You must get the Lox (for plain) walnut & cinnamon (for Cranberry) & Herb (for salt or Everything) Cream cheeses, they are a little pricey for the amount you get, but well worth getting. The bagel chips and fresh bread are good additions to take home, and I hear they have good deli sandwiches (I yet have tried) Only drawback is that they close early, too early (1pm I think) so get there early to get what you want. And if you need to please a few co-workers, drop in and buy a Baker's dozen, you will be the most liked person in the office that day!

For my bagel fix I frequent this joint - too feel better about my carb intake I always get the mini assorted bagels. It's always tasty and tastier toasted. Their bagel sandwiches are filling, fresh, and delicious. They carry various flavors and do run out so come early. Service is quick and it appears to be a family owned business. They work early and hard which is reflected in the taste and quality of their breads. This is a no thrills place so you can eat in house by self ordering or opt for take out. You can't go wrong starting your morning with a bagel :)

Ate at this place for years with no problem. Recently though, the customer service has been horrible!! The ladies that work here are so grouchy!!!! On my last visit, one of the older ladies actually tried to give me burnt toast!! (I mean totally black) When I mentioned that it looked really bad she didn't even say anything like "I'm sorry about that." She just made another one and acted as if she was doing me a favor. The food is good when they do it right but they are so unfriendly and short with you that it kind of brings your day down. I wont be going here again.

Best bagels in the state and only place to get a bialy. The closest you'll find to real east coast mainland bagels. Lots of other baked goods including Challah. The $8.35 lox and cream cheese on a bagel is IMHO the best lunch in town. I've tried maybe eight other items on the menu and was always pleased. I've had no problem with the service however just because you get east coast style bagels don't expect the staff to shout "Yo Vinnie" when you walk in the door. The staff are rather subdued.

Great breakfast bagels! Get the local boy on an everything bagel. Best hangover cure in Honolulu.

Pretty interesting little deli and bakery in a pretty inconvenient place. However, the bagels and lox cream are good enough to keep me coming back. Though, I'm pretty unimpressed with the other items on their menu such as the sandwiches... I could make those at home for a fraction of the price, no offense (I had the veggie with cheese - $7.50) None the less, it's a nice place to try.

Tough location, no parking, and zero atmosphere, but decent on-site baked bagels.

Since I often find myself in Kakaako for work, I am open to trying new places to eat. On this occasion I decided to check out This Is It! This place really wasnt it...I ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese. From the discription on the menu, it seemed fairly straighforward and rather similar to what I would have ordered in some other local NY style deli spots. This one just fell a bit short. Skimpy on the contents, the bagel was rather dry. A good bagel has to be crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside but this was just dry. Maybe I would come back for one of the Challah breads or something in the future...but with the service being kind of short and the food being a bit disappointing, I dont think I would come here for lunch again. When I came in, I was able to overhear the owner guy chastizing the poor property manager for asking for hood cleaning records. Oh well...

I only make an effort to come here for the CHALLAH. Only bread that I can happily eat from a bag. I could be persuade to convert to Judaism just for that bread and the prospect of Shabbat. Anyways, the bread is divine. Light fluffy goodness. I'm a total bread snob since I lived in Europe, the land of butter and baked goods. I am continually disgusted by the subpar bakeries that Hawaii has to offer and have come to expect nothing. So buying fresh bread from anywhere is a big deal. The only other place I purchase bread is Bruno Forno which makes a wonderful ciabatta. The rest of the bakery and deli is alright. I did like one of the breakfast bagels immensely since the eggs were perfectly cooked on a nice bagel. The deli staples such as the potato salad are akin to buying potato salad in a plastic box from Safeway. It's a shame they don't go out of their way to make briny coleslaw, Schwäbisch potato salad. Then it would be a place to visit and not think, "If the bread wasn't so damn good I would never waste my time with these rude pricks.". My friend of Jewish descent who lived in NY and raised in NJ was shocked and furious by the profuse times that one of the women kept asking if he wanted lettuce and tomatoes on his bagel with lox. It can be served with tomatoes but as a traditionalist when it comes to food like this I have to agree with my friend that is outrageous and unacceptable. The staff are either plain rude, curt, inept or just mediocre. Some seem to get thrills in letting people know that certain items are no longer available to order such as the breakfast bagel sandwiches. Completely unprofessional and pathetic! Five stars for the challah. Three stars for the other food they serve. One star for the staff since it can be really hit or miss. Two stars for the cleanliness and appearance since it's horribly depressing and dingy. Three stars for the prices since it seems a tad overpriced for the quality of ingredients.

I came here for lunch the other week with a bunch of my co-workers. I remember this place having really good breakfast bagel sandwiches, but I had never eaten here for lunch. That day I had the pulled pork sandwich with cheese and, none other than, regular fries...didn't know they had sweet potato fries until after I ordered. If you read my other reviews, you'll understand my love for them fries. Anyway, the sandwich was a little smaller than most other places for the same price. The pork itself was tender and fresh, which gave the sandwich pretty good taste. However, the bbq sauce which normally adds another layer of flavor, distracted from the sandwich in this instance. The sauce was "globby" and the taste was sweet, but I didn't really care for it. So the sandwich, I didn't care for, but at least I had fries. Sadly though, the fries weren't that great either. They were your typical krinkled fries, but I just wasn't feeling them that day. I was very disappointed by the food that day. I have had better there in my pre-Yelp days, so I will still recommend the place. I won't be ordering the same thing the next time, but regardless of what I order I hope that it makes amends for the unsatifactory lunch. 3 stars for now...

I love this place. The workers are super efficient--my favorite is the lady with the glasses. Plus, parking in the morning before a quick Fisher run is easy to locate on Cooke Street. I love the bagel sandwich with the bacon, egg, cheese, and hashbrowns. I also pick up the "local girl": an egg and portuguese sausage on a bagel. My favorite bagel and the only one I've tried is the garlic bagel. Don't forget to also pick up the chocolate glazed yeast donut with sprinkles. It's just so damn fun to eat.

Service is spotty: sometimes the girls are having a bad day and act like they're doing customers favors for free. That being said, the food is great, I work up the street and my coworkers love sending me with a laundry list of orders to go. For breakfast I lurv the Rossi's Special sandwich on a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese inside. Lunch time I usually order the chicken salad sandwich which is delicioso.

what: the absolute best deli for bagels! something good: okay this place is seriously the place for bagels, i mean they are the only place i know of that makes their own bagels fresh! their sandwiches are equally good and their potato salad is to die for!! the people who work here are so nice, even early in the morning! such a great place for breakfast! something not so good: i really can't think of anything at the second :) !! something to try: plain bagel with cream cheese & cheese sandwich with potato salad.

Best bagels on the island by far! Favorite picks: "everything" bagel and the "assiago" bagel, any breakfast bagel, potato salad. My favorite place to hang for breakfast if I am early for work, a meeting, or play. Comfortable surrounding. Easy parking in the rear of the shop. Convenient location in town. This is it!!

The food is great but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The bagels and deli sandwiches are the focus of the place. If you're looking for donuts they do have them but not a large variety unless you arrive at exactly 6. If you show up at 6:15 you're getting the leftovers.

This place has one of the best Bacon Cheese burgers in town and they have the bigger fries. You can't miss with one of their burgers. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are great fresh off the grill in the morning. Surely worth checking out.

My last boss was totally in love with Michael Jackson: This Is It when it came out. Every company meeting, he'd have to drop the line "THIS IS IT!" at least once. Total facepalm for me every time. I'm sooooo glad he never heard of This Is It Bakery & Deli, he'd be a fucking broken record "This Is It! Now lets go to This Is It! WOW THIS IS IT!!" But honestly, this IS it when it comes to bagels. I am not a bagel fan unless it is fresh. I know there's mixed reviews here about freshness, it seems 50/50 whether you get a fresh bagel here or not. I was lucky to be one of those that did get a fresh bagel. I ordered the Rossi Special Breakfast Bagel which was damn ono. And I literally paid for it with the change out of my pocket! $3-something I believe. I would have ordered a sandwich, but a sign said "Serving Lunch From 11:30" and it wasn't that time yet. But then after I got my breakfast bagel, I turned around to see someone with a sandwich. Whaaa...? The Lunch confusion was a little disenchanting of what would've been a really perfect experience. It's okay though, I don't mind coming back again soon to try their lunches.

I love this place! I was told this place was opened up by employees of the former Hawaiian Bagel Company, also in Kakaako, You know, i'm not a big bagel fan but the bagels here are to die for. After eating the bagels here, i can't eat any other bagels - not even from Lox of Bagels. None of them are as good. My favorite is the strawberry or blueberry bagel, toasted, with cream cheese. They don't skimp on the cream cheese. The donuts and pastries here are also very good. The sandwiches are just ok to me. Not enough meat for me. I'm a meat-eater. As for the "scary" local girl behind the counter. Let me assure you she's quite harmless. I believe she's been here since they opened. She's actually very nice once you get to know her. To the 1 or 2 people who say they have got bad or rude service here, i have a bit of advice ... be nice to people and they will usually be nice to you.

Horrible customer service. I went here a couple weeks ago and I was eventually approached from a woman behind the counter with no smile, no cheer, no personality. She coldly and irritatedly asked me what I wanted. I told her I wanted the lox sandwich. The sandwich itself was not as I remembered. I ordered the lox sandwich, and it was very salty. I also got the potato salad as my side dish. It was not tasty at all, quite bland, and had large chunks of eggs. Not what I want in a potato salad. The cost for this was about $8. Anyway, I really don't think I'll be going back there due to the customer service and the downhill progression of the food. I think this place could do better if they were a little friendlier at the counter.

Rating: 3.5/5 Date(s) visited: about 3 or 4 times. Food: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Parking: 3/5 This is a great "Hole in the Wall." But, it's another "Customer fixer-upper." Food: Great sandwiches! Service: Staff isn't all that nice. It seems that when customers order they are bothered with trying to help the people who provide the $ for their paychecks. It's only common sense...no customers, no business, means no job. This is where they lost 1 star from me. Atmosphere: Not quite sure what to put on this one... Price: Not bad. Parking: Street parking is available, and has never been a problem for me each time I went.

Whenever I'm in the mood for for bagels this is it, okay sorry for the pun. In all seriousness they have my favorite bagels on island. Some favs are the onion, cinnamon rasin, and garlic bagels. They have a great bite outside and nice a good doughy but light inside. Love how inexpensive their bagel breakfast sandwiches are, gotta try the ham and cheese on onion bagel. Or the local girl on garlic, yum. Both under 4 bucks and they don't skimp on size. Some great cream cheese too, if you prefer that. And if you feel like sharing with the office or friends, grab a bag of a dozen mini bagels for around 6 bucks. Can't go wrong, unless they don't like carbs, but for this place, it's worth it. You may wonder, why only 4 stars, and thats because I am so sad they discontinued my favorite flavor, spinach and garlic, I miss you.

My company has lunch here all the time. The sandwiches are incredible. Very generous portions on freshly sliced bread. A tip: get the Hot pastrami sandwich on rye!! They are the #1 place to get bagels. Always soft and so tasty! The fresh pastries are great with coffee over early morning meetings and the cream cheese spreads are to die for! :p There's a special everyday and it's usually a grilled sandwich. The Italian special is salami, pastrami and ham (i believe) with melted swiss cheese and grilled peppers and onions on a french roll! All sandwiches come with a pickle, a half piece of pastry, and potato salad or chips.

Be sure to try their Bialys, they are fantastic!!! Love their bagels too and the breakfast sandwiches are delish! Great service...very fast and friendly. You can get in and out quickly, which counts since I'm on my way to work when I go there. I'm going to try their sandwiches on my next visit.

I went here for breakfast and ordered an "everything" bagel to go. I have to say, every time I come in, there is this local lady working behind the counter and she acts like she could give a rat's a- whether or not you ever come back. She is kind of scary looking though, good thing she doesn't look like the type that reads yelp. Anyway, this lady took my order this time too. When I got to work and opened it up, the darn thing was SO burnt that I had to scrape all the "everything" off the bagel. I'm talking black bits of what used to be onion and garlic and whatnot. And, even after scraping the burnt "everything" off, I had black bits of charred "everything" stuck in my cream cheese. Sad. And gross. If I worked closer I would have taken it back. I'm giving it 2 stars for the nice people that work there (there are some!)

I love this place! The ONLY place on the island to get a real New York style bagel. The girls behind the counter are pretty nice considering how fast they have to work. Good challah bread and pastries too. I would never go elsewhere for REAL bagels.

I have yet to eat in but so far the bagels and sandwiches are not bad. Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with cream cheese was delicious, but I have yet to have an amazing bagel here in Hawaii..it's just not the same as the mainland ones. But it was still good. Also tried their Cranberry Oat Energy Bagel with peanut butter and honey (for less than $3) and it was delicious, I would get that again. I had a turkey sandwich to go a while back and it was okay, I don't think I'd get that again but the mac salad was great, not too rich or heavy, just the right balance and almost light. I want to get some fresh bread loaves in the future, it looked good and not too expensive at $4something for a large sliced loaf. Metered parking but easy to get to, right across Fisher on Cooke St. The menu can be a little confusing since breakfast sandwiches are listed on another wall on the right, you have to just take your time looking at what's on the wall menu and the counter too, as some things are written out.

Coffee was ho-hum, but the bagel sandwich was great. I had one of the specialty ones. Don't remember the name beyond "___'s Creation" (some woman's name). It had egg, bacon, chives, cream cheese and went perfectly on an everything bagel. $4 is seems a bit expensive, but it was tasty. Staff was helpful enough, but you could tell they are accustomed to the local crowd who will come in already knowing what they want and probably already have exact change to pay for it. Fine by me. While I can't say the value of this puts it the category of places I'd go daily, it would be nice from time to time when I crave a nice bagel sandwich.

This is where I go to get a good bagel. I usually get an everything or an onion, with scallion(chive) cream cheese. Just wish they had the smoked whitefish salad spread, like back home(NJ/NYC). I also cut some in half, put them in individual baggies, and freeze them, for a quick snack. Toasted, with butter or chiver cream cheese= yumm!

Some mornings I wake up and all I can think about is a good donut. I made the mistake once of trying both Zippy's or Safeway. Both are made without love and taste like oil and sugar. My favorite place is This Is It. Located on Cooke Street, across from the entrance of Fisher Hawaii, if you blink you might miss this little hole in the wall, known for years of making terrific bagels and other pastries and for their NY-style deli sandwiches. Donuts are made fresh, the supply isn't huge and things sell out. I've tried three different styles and each one has been heavenly, reminding me small kid time -- moist and cakey and perfectly glazed. You might want to plan ahead if you think you want to take a box to the office or to a meeting.

When a New Yorker leaves home, he knows that he will miss his bagels. It's inevitable and always a topic of conversation when I go home... "Are there any decent bagels in Hawaii?" My two favorite bagel places on Oahu are This Is It and Lox of Bagels. As for This Is It, they have a great selection of bagel choices and a number of great toppings. I really like their lox spread and the flavored cream cheeses... and I like the breakfast bagel. My favorite bagels are garlic and everything. As a talkative New Yorker, I've spoken to Mona (the owner, who is also from New York) a lot about her bagels and the place... and she is really passionate about making the tastiest, best bagels possible. And it shows! Thanks, Mona!!! Oh, and if you're looking for a challah, they have them on Fridays! So, all in all, I still miss my New York bagels, but This is It is truly excellent and has kept me from going totally insane.

Went here expecting so pretty good Pastrami.....I was disappointed...after paying $16 for 1 lb....I found it to be relatively tasteless, fatty and tough...sorry...I'm still searching for good pastrami....I really like New York Deli...so if anyone knows where I can get comparable pastrami, please let me know!!!

I have been meaning to write a review but couldn't remember the name!!! lol. I go here whenever I need a lox and cream cheese fix. Sadly I cannot eat the bagels anymore, but, I can eat it on rye bread. It totally works. I am also a purist and I don't want a salad on my sandwich which works especially when you do the cream cheese and lox. Had their vegetable soup, nice flavor, just questioned some of the lunch meat in the vegetable beef soup!! I like their egg salad sandwich also. As for the potato salad...why can't people season their potato salads?? NO FLAVOR. nada. It needs salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar, or whatever to give it some flavor. Good place for a quick lunch.

Honolulu doesn't have the strongest selection when it comes to delis, or bakeries. Sure, we have the crap-tastic spread of donut (malasada) establishments but nobody (aside from Bale) makes decent bread or any kind of decent bagel. As for delis, often Safeway is, sadly, the best we can do. This Is It, however, is a shining light of hope in an otherwise dark and dreary Hawaii food-scape. I love bagels. A lot. More than beer, actually. I also love deli sandwiches covered in mayo and mustard with fresh veggies and a dill spear. I love both of these things at This Is It. Evan R. has it right-----this is as close to a NY bagel and deli joint as we have on the island and I second him in my love for it! Good work, Mona! Keep on rocking!

Nice selection of bagels, even better selection of flavored cream cheeses. I love the strawberry and cinnamon raisin flavors. The albacore tuna sandwich is nice and refreshing too. It's a pity I don't work down the street anymore or I'm sure I'd be packing on some carb pounds.

  • Tamara H.

Okay the bagels are pretty good, but you need to get there early or they'll run out of your favorite. Same with the cream cheese, get there early or you'll miss your favorite flavor. Went there today and they were out of both of my favs, ok no problem got another kind, but the less then friendly girl at the counter did not ask if I wanted it toasted, I didn't, and she toasted it anyway. Then I go to pay and she never evens asks if I wanted coffee or anything, which I did, and so she acted put out by my request of coffee and having to add it to my bill. Ugh...a little friendly service wouldn't kill her!!!! In my book friendliness counts! Also coffee is just okay, it would be nicer if they had a rich flavorful blend to go with my bagel and cream cheese.

I just went for the first time and I'm sure it will be the last. I ordered a turkey sandwich on whole wheat and the bread was the best part of the whole lunch. The potato salad was under seasoned and fairly tasteless. As another reviewer wrote, the staff was a lot less than friendly or informative.

omg i am a Bagel Lover and this place makes the most yummiest bagels..Lets just say they have any type of bagel you can think of and they load it like an ultimate burger...My favorite to get is the loaded salmon w/capers bagel, its a whole bagel cut into half toasted and loaded on each side with a generous amount of fresh salmon, capers, cream cheese, lettuce, tomatoe and onions, its 4 huge pieces that i can eat for breakfast and lunch..and the best part is it is very inexpensive got it for under 5 bucks!.I love this place you should try it at least once.

Sorry, but this really ain't it. Maybe you have to eat the bagels immediately after they're made- they didn't make it to the next morning. Too hard. The place itself is so nondescript, too. So boring. It looks like a cafeteria inside. The whole place just bores me to death. Lox of Bagels, you're next- don't disappoint me!

I went in for lunch today to get bacon cheeseburger. I was told they were very good. After waiting to place my order, I was told the grill closed at 1pm. It was 1:04. I arrived prior to 1pm. The girl at the counter was a little rude and really not caring. She isn't the best choice to interact with the customers. Not sure if I will go back again.

Simple shop with great deli sandwiches and bagels. We love to get the hot pastrami sandwich and a garlic bagel with the lox spread and share plates. Go early, although they close at 2:30 on weekdays and 2 pm on Sunday, if you get there too late, they might run out of some types of bagels. On the plus side, sometimes you can get a deal on a bag of end of the day bagels. They also have great catering platters, too!

Great little Spot for Breakfast or Lunch. They close at 2:30p M-Sat. Recommended dish's are the Everything Bagel & Lox and the Hamburgers. My wife really likes the Tuna Sandwich. Only Sandwich that I haven't been happy with is the Pastrami. Govinda's Juices are also a nice touch. They even have the elusive Grapefruit.

Me and my girlfriend absolutely love this place. It's a good place for a quick bite for lunch or breakfast. However I can only do a review for breakfast, more specifically the bagels. They have a few varieties of bagels such as plain, poppy seeds I guess, and another with everything on it. I forgot what they were called. I suggest not toasting the bagel with the garlic chips on it because it'll taste burnt unless you like that. Then they have a few varieties of cream cheese like plain, strawberry, lox, chives and vegetables. They have a lot of other things there like donuts and tuna and jellies straight from Maui. They have a very clean bathroom and it's probably the nicest bathroom in all of Kakaako. It's AC and the place is actually pretty big if you consider the hall way. Everything there is made by them. You can actually see them making the dough in the back if you look through the window. It's pretty amazing actually to see them preparing the ingredients for the perfect bagel. The counter women are so nice and I always go there in the morning so they always say hi and they even have me and my girlfriends regular down which is the plain bagel toasted with strawberry. If they are reading this they know who we are haha Other than that I love this place because it's affordable and they accept card. God bless this place!

Minus one star for rude service Minus one star for getting my order wrong Minus one star for bad coffee Two stars (would have been three but they're so rude), because this place is just ok. RUDE SERVICE: I came here early on a Saturday morning, groggy, and disappointed that Insomnia does not open until 9am, so I had to settle for this place. There are two cash registers, and both of them had cashiers doing transactions for two separate lines of people. I got into one of the lines, and there was a woman floating around in the background asking me if I was ready to order. I was not ready yet, and thought that I had some time to make my decision while I was in line. The woman kept yelling toward me for my order, and when I told her that I was confused as to where I was supposed to be ordering, she threw her arms in the air, raised her eyebrows, wiggled her fingers, and said, "Right here!" Her tone made it seem like she was making fun of me, and I felt rather stupid as a result of that. GETTING MY ORDER WRONG: I ordered regardless of the rude woman. I ordered one ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a wheat bagel, and the other was a PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE and egg bagel sandwich. By the time my boyfriend and I dug into our orders at work, we realized that instead of Portuguese sausage, they put SPAM instead. That is completely unacceptable, especially after being so rude about taking my order. BAD COFFEE: They don't have iced coffee options. In fact, they don't have any options at all except for hot coffee in either regular or decaf. The coffee isn't even that good. Not good enough to be the signature coffee drink for the place anyway. I won't be coming back here until I see that things improve.

I popped in here this morning after a visit to Fishers for office supplies. Aesthetically appealing it is not, but the bagels and bialys are definitely on point. I haven't had a REAL bialy since I lived in NY as a child; most attempts I've sampled are actually just poorly disguised bagels-in-bialys-clothing. You see, unlike bagels, which are first boiled then baked, bialys are simply baked, giving them a chewy, non-glossy texture, and rather than a hole in the middle, bialys just have a depression that usually gets filled with yummy onions or sesame seeds. To my extreme delight This Is It has the actual Polish Ashkenazi treat deliciously for sale. The price was decent (I think I paid something like $3.08 for 2 bialys and 1 cheese bagel) and unlike other posters, I experienced perfectly acceptable customer service. The two girls behind the counter weren't chatty, but they weren't impolite either. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience and I'll probably end up going back for once or twice monthly treats when I go to Fishers for office runs.

As a "nice Jewish girl from Brooklyn" I know my bagels. I may not know simple addition or how to park a car, but damnit I know bagels. So when the timing stars aligned and this place was open when I was hungry, I was super happy. This Is It has a pretty expansive menu from breakfast sandwiches to grill items to sandwiches made with cold cuts, different varieties of cream cheese and of course bagels and lox. The prices are relatively reasonable as well. I ended up ordering a turkey sandwich on a plain bagel which came with my choice of potato or mac salad or chips and two pickle spears for just under $9. The bagel was crispy and pretty damn perfect and the sandwich had a good amount of turkey, etc. on it. The counter help was pretty good and relatively friendly. Sadly the woman behind me asked a question regarding grill orders and was snidely told "what does the sign say?" Although I wasn't treated rudely, it did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth especially when there are plenty of other places in the area to get sandwiches. Overall it was a really good bagel so I foresee myself going back....but they do need to work on being nicer

I haven't ventured into Kaka'ako area for lunch in a while, but I'm glad I rediscovered this bakery. The wafting smells of sweet-breads act like a trail to this hidden gem among the warehouses. The place has a clean industrial feel; it's not cozy nor fancy, but it is a nice place to escape the treeless sunshine of the area. They bake their own breads and pastries. Sandwiches include a side choice of mac-salad or chips (I always choose the former, it's delicious), a pickle and fresh danish. All options are reasonable priced, especially for the size and quality of the food. Their drink choices are lacking, but I mostly go with water anyway. The staff is quick to take your order and fast to make it. This is a great little lunch place!

LOL...gosh I love this place but just can't find it in myself to give them five stars. The bagels..out of this world! Nothing beats their bialy bagel with lox spread. The chewy goodness of a toasted bialy is extremely hard to beat. The ample spread that oozes out from the sides and thickly spread in the middle is so delicious! Another fave is their blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese spread. Amazing!! If you're into hot dogs like me...love it better than steak at times, the hotdog bagel is delicious with the mustard they give you. Rossi's Special breakfast sandwich bagel just kills a early morning hunger! I could go on and on about all the bagels I love here at This is It. The only thing I can't rave about is the customer service! Come on! How hard is it to be even a teensy weensy bit cheery in the morning??!! I've been coming here for years and recognize the workers yet they still are grumpy. I've even considering tipping but stop myself because that would be like bribing cheerfulness! I've never seen workers that seem more pissed that they have to serve anyone a bagel. Is it that hard to say "you're welcome"??!! I swear this place makes the soup nazi on Seinfeld seem like a angel! Definitely the Bagel Nazi's...but alas ..their bagels are so delicious I keep coming back! C'mon This Is It..if you read these reviews..just a good morning when I stop there and a you're welcome when I leave and I'll update this to 5 stars! Is that too much to ask?? I know you folks are nice because you allow that houseless guy to eat there every morning I stop in! I know he doesn't smell bad but you still must have a heart somewhere in your bagel nazi bodies to prepare him breakfast each day!

I've always wondered what this place was about, till about a week ago. I'm a fan of Lox. I only know of one other place that has the works, but the drive is out of the way. Until the other half and I came across to this place being open. Thought it was just a pastry place, but then noticed their deli sandwiches. Ahhh, I just about died when I noticed they had Lox available in both a sandwich and just as a spread I of course got the sandwich and it was so yumsss service was great on top of that. I'm super excited to know that there is a deli/bakery that has this available especially for take out. It comes with a choice of mac salad or chips

I have never been chased out of a business like this before. We walked in at 1:50--10minutes before closing and the staff had already packed away everything. I ordered a veggie sandwich which was basically a home made sandwich, nothing fancy and not very good. It had fallen apart by the time I got to my car to eat it. The staff seemed like they had never made a sandwich before and was angry that I was there. Three other customers walked in the store while I was there and got the same "can't you see we are trying to close" attitude. When I went to pay, I could not use my credit card because they had already closed their credit card machine! For how much of a rush they were to get out of there, it took them 15 minutes to make 2 sandwiches, probably because they could not find the cheese. When we walked out, they literally closed the gate on our heels. This place could be good but the staff was horrible. Will never go back and do not recommend that anyone else does either.

I always come here for their sandwiches. Once in a while I'll get their bagel with strawberry cream cheese. btw...I LOVE LOVE LOVE their strawberry cream cheese. It has real strawberries mixed inside. yum! I mostly order their Lox sandwich on a plain bagel...... raw salmon, capers, cream cheese, onion.....yum!!!! I just recently tried their cheese burger. It has some kind of herb made within the patty. Pretty flavorful. They use some kind of sweet bread for their buns. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars for the burger. Every early morning, there is this homeless guy that drinks coffee in there. The owner allows him every Mon - Sat (they are closed on Sundays) to come in and get some coffee and oatmeal for free. The homeless guys name is Vladimir... so if you ever see him, drop him a few bucks. Sweet guy, doesn't bother anyone and keeps to himself. I gave this place 5 stars because when I heard that story from Vladimir, my heart melted :) Besides the awesome owner, their food is pretty good! I love coming here for their sandwiches!
