As a three year resident of The Windsor Waikiki, I have to say that it's probably worth what we pay in rent ($2700 for a two bedroom, two bath corner unit, not including electricity). When we first moved in a couple years ago, we were initially in a one bedroom unit that was fully furnished and well-maintained. It was a good experience, although the rent we paid then was pushing the limits of our utility for the place. I was particularly impressed by the landscaping (waterfall! koi! areca palms!) and the size of the gym. When we moved out briefly to live in The Pacifica Honolulu before coming back two months later, my expectations might have been a tad higher. Suddenly, everything looked older, the lighting poorer (they did change to CFL bulbs) and the decor and gym equipment a bit dated. After being back for two months now, I've fully reverted to expecting what the Windsor offers. General Comments: Our landlord allowed us to have a small dog, but the condo overall isn't very dog-friendly. Most of the public areas are off-limits to dogs. The security guards are generally friendly but they will give you a citation if your guests don't leave promptly after the 6 hour parking allowance. The rooftop grill/dining area offers an amazing 360 degree view of Waikiki, Diamond Head and the mountains. Perfect for watching the Hilton's Friday night fireworks! The population in the condo is mostly either retired, military or older working business people and "mature" overall. There aren't many other young people in the building, which makes it feel a little depressing sometimes. I do love that there are three elevators for the bottom 24 floors and 3 elevators for the upper 24 floors. Compare that to The Pacifica, which had four elevators for 48 floors (suuuuper slow and poorly planned). At the Windsor, I never have to wait more than a minute for an elevator and most of the time I'm the only one going up or down. It's nice that Waikiki is only a short run away. Once in awhile I'll run to Kapiolani Park and back (around 1.8 miles one way), but I can just as easily walk across the bridge to Ala Moana mall.
