Since i was staying at the Royal Hawaiian I wanted to come down and check out the place. Venue - beautiful and right off the beach Staff - very friendly very aloha Bathroom - nice and kept clean Ordered the Loco Moco - its there dish for breakfast it was great. short ribs cooked perfect and the rice, egg and gravy was the right amount. Ordered the french toast. - portion was small 3 slices but it was just right amount since i got the loco moco but if i were to order it by itself it would have been too small and it was expensive. The prices are pretty high but you are paying for the view. It was worth it.

Ate breakfast this AM. Waiter staff so laid back that the attention to detail is lacking. Son got French toast but no syrup for 20 minutes. WHY don't know. Waiter no where to be found. I guess everyone is so laid back that you get what you get.

The restraurant is located in the royal hawaiian hotel. Menu is pricey. The poke trio didn't have much flavor. Best thing was the burger and fries with guyere cheese. Great beach view and service.

The food was pretty good. Breakfast for two was almost 50 bucks. Really expensive for breakfast. Also if you get uneasy with birds walking all around you during your whole meal, I'd suggest sitting inside. The waiter was definitely slow and you expect more for the price paid

Pricey but food is good. Great spot in the beach. Bloody Mary is excellent. We at under a pink umbrella just a few feet from the beach. Enjoyed the pancakes and some crispy bacon. Nice Easter brunch

I took my best gal here while she was visiting me over the 4th of July weekend. She wanted a spot to dine for lunch in Waikiki, that would look at the water, and be a nice dining experience. I picked Royal Hawaiian because of the history, location and I figured it would have some upscale dining options. So, the location was ooookkkaaaayyyyy. Our view was of a VERY crowded beach, and the people around us were great for people watching. We saw an elderly gentleman with a much younger lady pal getting very romantic. We saw everyone else on their ipads, iphones, electronic devices, typical Waikiki tourist. Our waiter was odd, but pleasant enough. The food: okay, so I looked over the overpriced menu, and decided on a lobster roll. Just FYI, I lived along the east coast for almost 10 years, so I KNOW a good lobster roll and this was just...crap. It also came fried, and when I asked if that could be changed, I was told no, that the lobster came PRE BATTERED, and that was the only way to get it on my sandwich. Uh, never heard of it being served that way, but whatever. I wasn't impressed. My friend had the Big Kahuna Salad and she said it was alright. Anyway, for 2 people to eat lunch it was $100, so that's the kind of money you should expect to drop here. I can't imagine dinner. There are no restrooms near by, you have to trek across the hotel. They do validate parking, but I could have probably had a cheaper, and better dining experience at Rum Fire.

We stayed at the Royal Hawaiian for a night, we got a coupon for buy one get one free at their breakfast buffet. They had everything from omelettes to miso soup and congee (rice porridge). The food was okay, nothing to write home about but the waitstaff was very nice and attentive.

This review is for the beach side service for food and drinks while using the beach chairs in front of the Royal Hawaiian. They have the best turkey club sandwich. Food and drinks are pricey but then again, everything is pricey in this area. Staff is friendly, drinks get served promptly and you can order food beach side staring at11 a.m. The Royal Hawaiian has a very expensive luau for $170+ per person on Monday nights. If you sit at a good table outside in the patio, you'll be able to enjoy the entertainment.

Service was EXCELLENT. Very friendly, fun and yet extremely professional. We are locals who, from time to time (not all that often really) like to venture into "Waiks" and play the tourist role for a few hours. "Dorothy", our server was funny, engaging and genuine. Fun times, right on the shore of the world famous Waikiki beach! Cant' beat the view of the beach, ocean and Diamond Head! Food was as expected from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel's kitchens. French dip panini was great (something different), and the spare rib dish was great. While visiting, make sure to walk through the lobby areas, there are some cool historical displays (pics with descriptions). We'll be back to visit Dorothy and the Surf Lanai!

We stayed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel as part of Pleasant Holiday package and continental breakfast daily at the Surf Lanai Restaurant was part of the deal. If not for the daily coupons for continental breakfast, we probably would not have eaten there. It is pricey but the view of the beach is fantastic! One day we ordered the Kalua Pork Hash with two poached eggs which was $20 and included a large Guava juice. Pork was allttle on the dry side

Alright, so we tried again. It's kind of hard to be adventurous when you have a 2 1/2 year old and you're pregnant and don't feel like walking very far. I dreaded the type of service we would receive. Fortunately for us the servers were much nicer. They were more observant of our sons needs to say the least. We pretty much ate here everyday because I just loved the Moco Loco. I don't get to eat something like that everyday at home. I had to eat it everyday. It was very good and quite a portion to hold you over all day almost. The kids menu is diverse enough. If you have a picky eater in sure you'll find something. I had to share some rice from my plate a few times because he loves rice. But it was mostly waffles, pancakes and fresh fruit for him. If we come back to this hotel again we will probably make this our normal breakfast spot.

When you think of high-end upscale brunches in Hawaii most locals think about places like the Halekulani, Sheraton Waikiki or The Kahala. But at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel they also have their own version in the the Surf Lanai located in the Azure Restaurant during the day. I've read some of the reviews for this place and don't quite understand why they get mixed reviews. I went with a group of media-lites today to feature the eatery and not only did we receive fantastic service but the food was excellent. Perhaps it was because we were doing a food review that they catered to us so well, however they couldn't do that for the buffet food right? The food had everything you could ask for in a complete buffet. Prime rib, suckling pig, a desert bar, sushi & sashimi bar, hot foods and breakfast items such as an omelet bar and Japanese breakfast. The food wasn't your average "let's get the leftovers from last night and make something" options either. Everything was made specifically to be served at the buffet. Let's not forget the view of the beautiful stretch of Waikiki beach. White sands, blue water, just an eye candy delight while you partake in your breakfast/lunch. For locals, they also offer a 15% discount which means I'll be back again with others. For special occasion or any occasion, make sure this is on your list of places to go when hitting up an elegant "brunch" meal.

I went to Surf Lanai with my co-workers. We ordered Angus beef salad, pizza, and french dip. salad and pizza was terrible taste. i can't believe it is at Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It is expensive too, and it is not worth with spending money!

First and foremost, the view here is absolutely wonderful. We came here for breakfast, and found a limited menu. When a restaurant has very limited items, that signals to me that those few items should in fact be very refined and polished. Our breakfast was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were right on point, the portion was not too small, and not over the top, and the seasoning and presentation of the dishes was very pleasant. The coffee was wonderful, as was the fresh guava juice which came with a blueberry banana shot. Wow. Next came the Kalua pork hash. It's a hash, how can you make this look like something other than a pile of meat and potatoes? The surf lanai figured out a way to make it look 5 star, and amazing. Topped with 2 perfectly poached eggs and topped with a champagne dijon hollandaise that was to die for. The kalua pork was just the right amount of crispy, and below that layer of delicious meat was a layer of crispy breakfast potatoes. The dish came with a small size of fresh greens and half of a baked tomato. My husband has the spicy portuguese sausage tomato casserole. Wow. It came in a mini cast iron casserole dish. I was almost jealous! The sausage was tender, and flavorful, as was the amazing tomato based sauce that cuddled the delicious poached eggs and other assorted veggies. Bravo. The service was absolutely on point. Our coffees were always full, as were our bellies when we left. Wonderful in every way.

During our recent trip to Oahu, we stayed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Surf Lanai is their casual restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. At night, Surf Lanai turns into Azure, their more upscale restaurant. We dined at Surf Lanai various times - mostly for breakfast but we dined for lunch as well. Their continental breakfast, although it seems small, is actually quite filling. You get your choice of Kona coffee or tea, a fresh fruit mix and three breakfast pastries. You also get juice and a shot of their smoothie of the day. If you have a free continental breakfast voucher, you can upgrade your to a full breakfast with an added entree for $20. I've had the Egg White Omelette upgrade and it's definitely a lot of food! Their lunch options, although a bit on the pricey side, are very filling. We all couldn't even finish our orders.

Expensive, but not shocking considering you are at a resort. The view and location are first rate. I went at the peak of the breakfast rush, around 9am, which resulted in a 20 minute wait to be seated. My experience was mixed. The service was far from ideal, I had coffee but was not refilled until I was paying my bill. On top of that, I asked for a splash and the waiter completely filled my cup, and said, "Sorry, that was more like a tsunami." Which I found a little insensitive, especially considering the large number of Japanese clientele. I had the Eggs Benedict which was OK, the English Muffin needed to be toasted longer, it was really soft. Come for the view knowing the food and service are just OK.

Formerly known as the Surf Room at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the restaurant has changed considerably, having undergone renovation and repositioning three years ago. Now known as The Surf Lanai, it serves breakfast and lunch in a beachside and poolside setting during the day. In the evening, the restaurant (the indoor portion at least) transforms into Azure Restaurant, which specializes in seafood. It's been years since I've been "Surf-ing" at the Royal Hawaiian and I had no idea of the changes when we went there for lunch recently. We headed the same way we used to many years ago, only to discover directional signs that sent us in a different direction. I went the old way, just to scout it out, and discovered the check-in had moved clear over to the other side of the venue. So ... a word of warning: If you haven't been there in a while, follow the signs, don't go where you thought the entrance was, because it isn't there anymore. The Surf Lanai is open for breakfast daily from 6:30 to 11 a.m., and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The view of the ocean and Diamond Head, of course, is both relaxing and spectacular, as you watch hundreds of tanned (i.e., "red as a lobster") tourists get sand in their swim suits and scatter water from their hair as they run in and out of Waikiki's water. We were able to get a table inside, next to the lanai area and its open wall, so the sea breeze was right there to cool us off. Each setting at the table greeted us with a beautiful little orchid, just the perfect amenity to put us in the mood for a nice lunch. Our waitress, Reiko, brought little glasses of berry and banana smoothies, to occupy our taste buds while we perused the menu. The smooth, cool starter was a very nice touch. The wife and her brother ordered the Eggs Benedict - the usual English muffin topped with ham and poached egg, and covered with a lemony Hollandaise sauce. Two bennies each, with some hashed brown potatoes - crispy on the outside and tender inside. The dish came with half a roasted Roma tomato. I was actually going to have Eggs Benedict as well. In fact, having checked out the menu online the night before, that was my initial choice. But two things stopped me. One, the wife ordered it and she usually shares her dish with me, and two, I saw something else on the menu that was screaming my name. It was the Royal Loco Moco. Now, everybody knows what a loco moco is - hamburger patty on rice, smothered in brown gravy and topped with a fried egg. It's good stuff, but variations can be spectacular. The Surf Lanai's loco moco was near-spectacular. The short rib meat was so very tender and flavorful. It was topped with a rich au jus and some Hamakua mushrooms, nestled on a bed of beautifully steamed rice, with two poached eggs on top. Sprinkled on top of all that were some crispy fried Maui onions. And next to it were salad greens flavored with a mild vinaigrette. Break open the yolks and the near-orange goodness just oozes into the rice and over the rib meat. The wife's Eggs Benedict were good, except the muffins weren't as crispy crunchy as I like. That could be because she didn't send some over until I'd nearly finished my dish. The Royal Loco Moco was delicious. No complaints with the flavor or presentation. What did bother me was that both our dishes weren't hot when we got them. Which means that they'd been sitting for a while before our waitress brought them over. Mine, in fact, was lukewarm. What a shame. Still, all things considered, it was nice to visit a restaurant I haven't been to in at least a decade.

Located in The Royal Hawaiian, Surf Lanai is the casual (wear a bathing suit) cafe by the pool. We ate here twice during our most recent stay at the Royal Hawaiian in January 2010. The waitstaff is all very friendly and seasoned. You can tell some have worked there for years (minus the year the hotel was closed for renovations). They have great patience to deal with the huge number of pigeons that are constantly underfoot. Our first experience was at lunch. The menu is very limited and I had a BLT. I wish the bacon had been cooked more thoroughly, it was just too chewy for me. Everyone else enjoyed their food. The bread that is brought out before the meal was quite good. I also wish the hotel served Coke instead of Pepsi, but I realize a lot of Hawaii serves Pepsi (eww). Our waitress, Dorothy, was old. She was older than a lot of grandmothers. She moved constantly but slowly. When she'd come to the table she'd always need a lot of help with the plates. She always asked for help in a nice way, but I think she'd be better at something where she didn't have to carry so much. Our other meal at the restaurant was for breakfast our last day there. It was delicious! I had the Belgian waffle and it was awesome. It came with fresh berries, maple syrup, butter, and whipped cream. My husband's bacon and egg breakfast was good. The oatmeal was very good; it came with raisins and a caramel sauce. The pork hash was unusual but enjoyed thoroughly by my dad. Breakfast was definitely significantly better than lunch. It is nice that you can just wear a cover-up and eat at this restaurant since it is located at pool and beach side. I still would only go back for breakfast because my lunch wasn't worth the price. Breakfast was definitely worth it! The restaurant will validate your parking if you valet. 4 stars for the breakfast alone!

The place was good, but not great. Kinda like winning 2nd place and all you get is a blue ribbon and a pat on the back. B+ for effort though, but just not quite there. Fancy plates, small pretty portions, and beach views dont necessarily make it worth it as you have beach umbrellas in your way. My main gripe is the price. I'm not saying I expect super deals at a fine hotel such as the royal hawaiin, but 25 dollars for 2 eggs, small hash browns, and two pieces of bacon and regular toast? You kidding me? I gladly spend 30+ dollars a meal in hawaii, but only when it blows my mind and is not something I can experience elsewhere. The waiters were nothing special, ALL of them were over 50 years old, complete FOBs, and kept dropping sh*t. The table next to us, poor old ladies, had scolding hot coffee spilt on them. And the waiter was more upset he got some on his pants. I hope they were comped. I did, however, forget that Hawaii only has a 4% tax... So my habit is to double the tax for tip, for 16%, when it's OK service. I usually tip 25 to 30% when it's excellent.. Turns out I accidentally gave him an 8% tip... oh well.. Any ways, skip this place and find food elsewhere. You have 20+ great choices within 3 minutes of this place. you're welcome...

While staying at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel we ate here for breakfast. I had the most delicious eggs benedict that I've ever had. Rich homemade hollandaise sauce and the poached eggs perfectly cooked. Delicious home fries with added bacon and onions were very flavorful. I also loved and appreciated their fresh squeezed juices. So many nice restaurants don't do this anymore.

Thinking we'd get more or less the same experience from a restaurant that converts into the much-glorified Azure at night, we settled for lunch at the Surf Lanai. What a mistake! If we weren't flying out later that day, I would have gladly waited and paid the hefty price at Azure. After this experience, I'm not even sure I would do that. I was charmed by the Frette linens. You can also tell they paid good money for interior decorations. Spry and subtly decadent is how I would describe their space. Perfect for those elegant mid-afternoon conversations as you watch the various tanned bodies scramble for sun (and space) on Waikiki beach. Our server was modestly attentive, if not a bit out-of-character with her age versus the clean, youthful ambience. Great place to acquaint yourself with local wildlife (the resident pigeons and brown birds) that scavenge food by your feet. The food? Highly unimpressive. Shit for the price if you want it straight up. When you're paying that much for anything (about $30/pp), the food should work in concert with the ambience, elevating your lunch to a true dining experience. I got the Seafood Bouillabaise ($35) which looked like somebody's scrap seafood leftovers and where the coconut/saffron broth did more harm than good. What's up with the coconut? Why overcomplicate bouillabaise, which should be a simple melody instead of an out-of-tune symphony? And I swear, I've had more seafood buying a $5 cup of chowder at Pike Place Market in Seattle. If you're charging $35 for a bowl, you might want to make it a meal that would actually satisfy both senses and the stomach. And if you're serving Vancouverites who have access to some of the best, out-of-this-world seafood in the world, you need to step up your game. Fail on all accounts. I was a bit embarassed for them. HB had the Fire Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich ($20) that he eventually deemed unfit for a restaurant of this (supposed) calibre. I personally could have made it at home and charged you $0 for being nice to me. I tried it and it was bland as hell. The sea salt fries that came with it was the only thing "great" on his plate. But you don't pay that much for fries that Wendys Canada makes equally well (taste Wendys sea salt fries). Not wanting to leave disappointed, we decided to order the Royal Cassata ($10) for dessert, a "signature Italian ice cream cake with coffee, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, mango and a macadamia nut praline-filled centre". It was passable but not note-worthy. Certainly didn't make my tastebuds sing. I had to reminisce previous desserts to satisfy my psychological need for dessert heaven. The kicker? All the tables around us got a starter bread except for us. We didn't make a fuss because it might be part of some breakfast deal for hotel guests. Just felt like another tourist trap in Waikiki. Overall, a very disappointing and expensive excursion.

food good! service BAD! this is a PRIME example of how union jobs DO NOT help establishments. our server was glib, used phrases he probably uses on all guests, and was pure SLOPPY! what REALLY irritated us, was that this man CLEARLY has been doing this job, this way, for far too long. he directed most of his time and attention to a table that was seated behind us. due to this choice, he virtually ignored the other 3 tables as if we were not in his section. when he did not bring out our complete order, we had to ask him about the meal (for my 6-year old nephew) after playing hide-and-seek because he was no where to be found. he came up with this lame excuse that he got side-tracked with the bulk of our order because it was confusing. realistically, he could have placed our food down, noticed that one of the four in our party did not have food in front of him, and asked if we needed anything else. instead, he chose to plop our food down and walk away. i was born and raised here in honolulu. in order to seem "affable," he basically asked where we were visiting from and the proceeded to mock and insult our non-local "accents." [something about a lack of "pigeon" - which is generally slang verbiage - in our dialect.] my only frustration here is that i did not ask for a manager or remember this man's name. his presence and behavior warranted a note on file, but then again, when you are in a union, these types of things are moot. it makes me sad that people in any type of service industry are mechanical, insincere and snide. it's even worse that this is the impression he leaves with people who spend their tourist dollars in hawaii. [in the event that the hotel cares, this is a taller seemingly japanese man who is a little larger and sweats profusely. his name might be "glen," but i am not positive. sigh!]

This review is breakfast. Although it is a little pricey, the food here is excellent. You can't beat dining on the patio of the Royal Hawaiian steps away from the ocean. The service was first-class, and they get bonus points for chicken sausage. If you're in Waikiki and looking to splurge a bit for breakfast, this is the place to go.

Breakfast was awesome. The banana macademia nut french toast was amazing. It was probably the best french toast I've had. The bread was STUFFED with caramelized bananas infused with nut bits. Yum. It is pricey, but in terms of purely food, this is as good as it gets =).

Beautiful view, sits beside the pool (on the left) and the beach directly in front. Can be warm/hot if directly in the sun, but I was seating under the shade. Cream should not sitting on the table when you arrive at a beachside restaurant. I knew it was bad, as it turned as soon as it hit my coffee. Once I got their attention (took longer than it should have), the coffee was replaced immediately as well as the cream. It turned out to be pretty good coffee. One of the best egg white omelets I've ever had! Goat cheese and spinach steal the show. If you want a place with a view and on the beach, it's definitely worth checking out. I don't know if it's a great value for the money, but you're definitely getting a solid meal with a great view.

Oh my gosh!! The breakfast here is truly fantastic. We stayed here and ate on property for breakfast - every morning. The last day we were suckered into eating the buffet at the Sheraton - not my cup of tea. I just don't enjoy miso soup, rice, etc for breakfast. Back to the Lanai! Every day they nailed it! Blueberry pancakes had berries inside and out. Cooked to perfection each time. The complimentary smoothie from the chef each morning was a great palate cleansing way to start the meal. You HAVE to get the Rosti potatoes (hashbrowns with bacon and onion). Oh, I miss them since we have been home. The french toast with macadamias was very good. The Creme Brulee Oatmeal - ohhhhh need I say more. Each morning for four days they nailed it - time and time again. The service was fantastic. They were fast and knowledgeable. The view can not be beat - you are steps from Waikiki Beach in your bikini ready to start the day!! Can't wait to go back next year!

This is based on the complimentary breakfast that comes when you stay at the Royal Hawaiian. So, if you are looking to pay for breakfast, I'm fairly certain there's a different menu... Depending on the day of the week, it was a bit of a wait to both get a table and then get served. Complimentary breakfast came with coffee or tea, a local fruit or fruit juice and then like 10 different menu choices. I had the egg white omelet the first day which I would rank as "meh." Nothing crazy exceptional about it. But, day 2! The pork hash. Yum raised to the yum! Forget the corned beef hash that you are thinking I'm talking about. This was shredded pork in a very salty but delicious marinade served with potatoes and an onion/pepper mix. I got my egg fried hard instead of poached (personal preference) and just fell in love with this decadent dish! Service can be a bit slow as the breakfast rush is pretty intense. Some people called to make reservations, but we never had to wait more than 20 minutes to get a table.

Pretty expensive for breakfast (the meal I had there) and I'm assuming the same for any other meal. The location is prime - right on Waikiki beach and part of the gorgeous Royal Hawaiian hotel/resort. The good was ridiculously good, as was the service. I would say it's worth the price - and I recommend a visit.

Depending on what time you go, expect to wait a really long time with really horrible management service. AND CHECK YOUR BILL! My party arrived at the restaurant for breakfast a little after 10am, and after our orders were taken were given our coffee and then waited for about 40 min before our food arrived. During that time however, no one came to refill our coffees (I needed to ask for someone before getting a refill), and when our food did arrive, it was lukewarm at best. We were hungry, so we figured it was just best to start eating rather than wait another +20 min for warmer food. What compounded the frustration was a 4-top that sat right next to us shortly after we got our breakfast received their food in less than then minutes! Perhaps they came after business slowed down? Most likely, but regardless, it made the food feel colder, and us ignored that much further. After getting the bill, we were CHARGED INCORRECTLY for the breakfast. These things, which by itself would be small complaints, added up to a large amount of frustration. I called over the manager on duty to inform him of all the things that went wrong - long wait for food, no one checking in on our drinks, cold food, and now, an incorrect check and that for all of these things to happen at this type of establishment is just ridiculous. He apologized briefly for the error on the check, and would fix it. He mentioned no remorse regarding the food, time, coffee, etc. He left our table as quickly as he arrived. Instead of bringing the check back himself with the corrections, our server brought it back. I did not see the manager after that, never bothering to check in with us to see how anything else was going. Nothing to even give us an impression that he or the restaurant was apologetic, but rather increased the impression that we were just being ignored. Upon finishing up what was left of our meal, the best service came from a busser. He was walking around and politely asked if we were done. As he was removing the dishes, he asked us how our meal was. I gave him an honest answer - at no point did I raise my voice with the manager, nor to the busser. He looked at us, listened to all our complaints, and actually sympathized with us. He apologized. He asked if any of our issues had been resolved by the manager (no.) He even apologized for the lack of resolution by the manager! This person, who has no power to correct our complaints, did the best thing he could do. Listen, and apologize. How is it that this gentleman has better customer service than the manager on duty? The busser's customer service and the idea that the food might have been better had it arrived warm is the only reason why it gets TWO stars instead of ONE. This experience was such a stark contrast to the high level of service that we had received during our short stay at the RH. Details are so important, and you tend to notice the details while you wait.

Walked over on a Sunday morning from the Hilton to grab a fancy breakfast. We knew we'd pay a lot, but the one thing we were disappointed in was the $6 yogurt which didn't even come with a garnish, just plopped into a dish. The macadamia banana french toast was to die for, and we requested a plate of fresh fruit, which was all totally ripe and delicious. Also recieved little shot glasses of a fresh fruit smoothie "complements of the chef." Great experience if you want to splurge on yourself.

I was looking for a quiet relaxing place with an ocean view to have a lunch and read my travel guide. The hotel lobby is gorgeous and the restaurant itself is just pretty. Very light and airy. The service was amazing. And for the location, the prices were normal. But the problem was my salad. I ordered a cabbage sesame seed with mahi-mahi on top. When it came, I noticed the fish looks very bland. I was correct. Even though it had very faint grill marks on it, it had a spongy texture. There was absolutely no crust. For the first few bites, it kind of got stuck in my throat. So I told the waitress who was super kind. She immediately offered to get me another one. I said let's try the grilled chicken. It came out just as white and spongy. I didn't say anything and just ate most of it, but that chicken had a rubbery look and texture and there was too much dressing. As I paid my bill, I asked the waitress if maybe there was a new cook or something. She said no, they were the regulars. Again she was nothing but nice. But I was just super surprise that when I sent it back once, they didn't pay some attention to what they sent out again.

While staying at the Royal Hawaiian we dined here for breakfast. The service was excellent and our server knew how to take care of kids dining at a nice restaurant (remove all glass, give them plastic, and bring their food first!) The restaurant is beachside which is great! If you stay at the hotel, kids 5 and under eat free breakfast & lunch here. Yes! That saves you ~$10/kid :). I had the veggie omelette with egg whites, it was so yummy. Veggies with gouda cheese. Hash browns and toast. My hubby had the kalua pork, which came with poached eggs, hollandaise, and potatoes. It was so good, such a unique dish! My kids had blueberry pancakes which were fluffy and perfect, and eggs and bacon with hash browns, so good! They brought us smoothie samples in shot glasses when we sat down. The Kona coffee hit the spot. It's pricey, but worth it. Lots of healthy choices too!

I was here for two occasions. Both lunch and breakfast. I have to say, for the price that they charge for their breakfast ($30) is quite ridiculous. They don't even have made to order egg dishes available nor fresh squeezed juices. All you can choose from are smoked salmon, some fruits (Papaya, strawberries, Pineapples, banana and orange), Egg benedicts, some breads and pastries, miso soup, chow mein and steam rice, sausage, bacons..thats about it. Compare with other starwood properties for breakfast (Westin / Sheraton Waikiki), I am quite disappointed with the varieties and qualities that it presents. The best part of the dining is the proximity to the ocean.
