I brought my 83 year old mother-in-law for a foot problem. We were fortunate in that the clinic wasn't swamped because she wouldn't have been able to tolerate a long wait. Everyone from the receptionist, to the medical assistant, the X-ray tech and the physician were so kind and helpful. I appreciated all of them.

We had a great experience! My husband heel got sliced from the fin of a surfboard on vacation. We went to doctors on call, and they took such good care of him. The wait was only a few minutes. Jaylynn and Alice made him feel very comfortable, and Dr. Preis was outstanding. In the unlikely event you need doctors attention, you can feel at ease knowing you are in great hands at Doctors on call. Thank you for everything!

We had two visits to Straub this trip (ugh!) and have to say, we were so lucky to have had this on call urgent care recommended to us. They were friendly, the premises clean and conveniently located right inside the lobby of the Sheraton Princess. They were, overall, very professional. They took our insurance and made the check in process as simple as possible. The wait was long (45 min to an hour), but definitely not as long as you would wait in an ER. And while one of our visits was for a minor issue, the other - a potential foot fracture - was handled with the professionalism of a hospital. We would definitely recommend utilizing this location for vacation mishaps - they have both xray and labs onsite to make the process smooth, easy and quick. Thank you Straub! One note - bring a sweater or ask for a blanket - they keep it COLD in the waiting room!

My review is long overdue. I live and work in Waikiki and I usually come here first if something is wrong. I also worked in Hotels and recommended this place to my hotel guests because it was near by and hotel guests would usually come down at odd hours. Thank god this place is 24/7. The last time I came here was in 2012. I think I got food poisoning from my hotel employee lunch. I had the severe Diarrhea, vomit (once), and intense stomach pains. I figured it would go away after a day or two. I followed the usual home remedies (eat light, eat crackers, drink electrolytes - clear soda etc) but symptoms persisted and never got better. I finally threw in the towel and decided to walk over to this place since it was 2 minutes away. I was afraid I was going to poop my pants on the way there but made. I had dodge and avoid the prostitutes and shady people since this was at 2:00am. The front desk staff was very attentive. I think I only waited about 10 minutes. The doctor (forgot his name) but was really cool. They gave some medication and a shot in the ass cheek. One medication was for the diarrhea (LOPERAMIDE-similar to Imodium) and the second medication was for the stomach pains (DICYCLOMINE-this helped a lot). I think the ass shot was some kind of booster shot. My current employer at the time required a doctor's note which was provided by the office. The doctor pretty much gave me time to recover assuring the whole week off which was a good idea because working behind the hotel front desk with the "runs" is quite difficult to handle especially with a 100% occupancy dealing with a major brand guests. Hotel workers beware - watch out for employee free meals. This place has to exist no matter what. In fact, they should make another office and also cater pick up and delivery shuttles during the graveyard shift. I think they should also open a pharmacy and increase their medication stock since Kuhio Pharmacy closed down. I had HMSA - comp med. The cost wasn't expensive. I think I paid for the visit and the medication. Thank You Doctor's On Call

Great assistance! Did have to wait 30 minutes, and appeared that the medical assistant who took my vitals was new, but the doctor was great and he was on point.

Just awful. Sent there by Straub Hospital. Waited half an hour. Got blown off by a rude doctor. I work in a hospital... and if one of my docs treated a patient as dismissively as they treated my mother, I'd file a "report of contact" on them. Never again.

These guys were great! I was the first one at their doorstep this morning after a long night, and they welcomed me in, diagnosed my problem, provided treatment and follow -up instructions and I was out in 35 minutes. I wish my own doctor at home was as responsive and attentive.

No one expects to get sick on vacation but if you are sick in Honolulu, then go here. They have their shit together! They had me in and out in 30 mins & they accepted my BCBS of California PPO insurance. I had Dr Tish & he was fantastic! This office looks very new, not sure if it was remodeled or just opened but is very nice. My hotel was only 2 blocks, so I walked. It is located, somewhat beneath the Sheraton entrance by the tour companies. Staff & nurses were super friendly & polite, not like regular nurses on the mainland.

Woke up on Saturday with pinkish, watery eyes. NOOOOO. I waited it out and bought over-the-counter eyedrops hoping it would get better. 6pm and now my eyes were RED. ugh. Boyfriend came home and asked if I wanted to go to the ER. Hm, no thanks... don't wanna pay the ER fees and wait hours in that freezing waiting room but i also didn't want to wait till Monday to see my doctor, so decided to try my luck at Straub Doctors On Call in the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani hotel in Waikiki. I've been here before when I didn't have health insurance and wait time was never an issue and the copay wasn't too bad so I thought nothing can go wrong by coming in again. SO glad I did! When I walked in around 7pm, there were 2 other people there - one guy waiting just about to leave and the second one paying. Perfect timing! After filling out the short-form paper work (since I've been here before), updating my contact info with the suuuper nice receptionist, and paying my $14 co-pay (they take insurance here!) I was called in within 5 minutes. Love the speed here! Nurse was very polite and friendly - checked my blood pressure and weight and eyesight with that big "E" chart and got me into a waiting room within no time. No more than a couple minutes later, Dr. Morrissette walked in and checked my eyes out after sanitizing her hands in front of me [maj points for the sanitizing]. She was sooo nice. Last time I visited the Doctors on Call, the man doctor guy was a little rude, to say the least. Anyways - she asked which pharmacy I'd like to pick up my antibiotic eyedrops at and had me on my way. Yup, conjunctivitis (pink eye) it is! UGH. Boo me. Speedy, friendly, efficient, clean... what more can I ask for at an Urgent Care facility?! LOVE. I got a card in the mail a few days later thanking me for coming into Doctors on Call from the receptionist and will be getting a survey in the mail about the service I received. How awesome is that?!

I went here late at night after a moped accident. I wasn't hurt too badly, just a few cuts and bruises, but I wanted to get everything checked out. Its a little a difficult to find in the Sheraton since its below the entrance of the resort. Though, when I entered I was pleasantly surprised by the decor. It is very modern considering its location. The staff is pretty friendly, I talked with the younger woman who was funny and understanding. The wait was about 30 minutes, but it was okay seeing as how they have a TV that plays the Food Network. The doctor was friendly and understanding, he didn't want to do unnecessary testing as some doctors would. I'd go here again because it is so convenient and close to any location in Waikiki.

T'was a busy day in Waikiki while it's flu season and the tourists paraded the city on a Sunday evening. Thankfully, I had walked in at an impeccable time. It was 6pm and there was about 5 patients before me. The process was quite simple and fast. I walked into the Princess Kaiulani Hotel, which wasn't hard to spot since it's off Kaiulani Avenue. I walked into the clinic and you're immediately greeted by the front desk for check-in. They will ask for some basic information and will ask you about your insurance and give you a clipboard to sign which is not a lot of information to input. Afterwards, they will have you sit and wait for a few. At the time, I had only waited about 10 minutes to be put in a room and be seen by a doctor. In less than 20 minutes I was out the door with my doctors note and prescription medications. The staff are absolutely friendly and can speak multiple languages since the clinic is located in the hotel. Their hours are 7am-11pm, which is great for anyone living in this area and for those that are out of towners. The only caveat is they do not have parking designated specifically for the clinic. Parking is a huge challenge in this area unless you're able to find street parking, garage parking, valet or walk if you live in the area. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place. Additional info: -Free Wifi is available -TV is available -If your insurance is either QUEST/HMO or an insurance Straub doesn't take, please be ready to pay a hefty amount on your way out. I would highly suggest to call them first to make sure you are either fully covered for out of network services or they will suggest you wait for your doctor or head straight to the ER.

Staff were nice and welcoming. Paperwork was easy to fill out. The waiting room was old and needed updating. Didn't wait too long to see a doctor and he was very pleasant + got me what I needed. Overall, a great experience for a walk-in clinic. Good option to have while deciding on a PCP. (I think I'll go with a Straub doctor based on this good experience.)

We stopped here today as my wife wasn't feeling well when we arrived in Honolulu. We waited less than 10 minutes after filling out the paperwork. They quickly diagnosed the problem and told us what she needed to treat it. Because it was late on a Saturday and most pharmacies were likely closed they gave us the antibiotics straight from their own stock. The cost was more than affordable and they accepted our insurance as well. All around great.

Yes. I'm a serious fan. I had a situation, not an immediate one, but eventually I wanted to go to the doctor to see what is going on with my arm. It's been in pain for almost a month, my hand, all fingers; I thought I injured myself but the pain did not seem right so I called Straub to get a doctor recommendation because I don't live here anymore. They referred me to their on-call office. Even my mom did not know about this place. Anyone can go here, insurance or not. My mom thought she could only go to her doctor, but actually, she could go here if she wanted to. So it was in the evening, and I live near Waikiki, so why not check it out and see what the doctor has to say about my symptoms. The office is on the first floor of the Sheraton PK hotel. You cannot miss it when you enter the hotel. What doctor can you go to that is available until 11pm? If it's not an emergency and it's not 11pm yet, consider coming to this office if you're in the area. The waiting room is pretty large. They have many chairs and magazines for you to read if needed. The forms are easy to fill out and I only waited 5-10 minutes until I was called. But not every time you will be that lucky. They do not take appointments. I got called in by the nurse and she took my BP and my temperature. The device she took my temperature was pretty cool and something I never seen before. She put it against my forehead and slid it from one side to the other. Then she show me to the room and I waited. The doctor came in, after 5 minutes, I explained my symptoms and he thinks it has to do with my neck. So I took an x-ray of my neck but not at that office. He referred me to another radiology office at the Ala Moana building which is a heck of a lot cheaper. He recommended PT 3 times a week for a month. The first visit is $130 without insurance, and after that, the visit is less, maybe around $100. I'll have to pay another office fee if I want to show him my x-rays to evaluate. I believe they also do adult immunizations, physicals, and drug screenings.

One Star? yea One stars is right. This does not reflect the Staff, they were helpful, but there policies are kinda stupid. This is more or less a walk in clinic for tourist. We had a sick child and we have insurance ( Blue Cross/ shield ). They told us they could not take us under our insurance for two reasons. 1) they did not recognize our insurance and don't take HMO, ok sure i get it. 2) we don't just take any walk in...we require a referral. Well the hilton hawaiian village sent us here and if i had a referral i would have gone straight to the hospital. if i knew they would turn us away or make us pay upwards of $300 i would have gone straight to the ER ($100).

Friendly, fast and efficient. The clinic is clean and well run. I thoroughly enjoyed their service. The staff were friendly and kind. Answering questions when I became lost on how to get there. I waited for 30 minutes and was there approximately an hour. But length of time is harder to measure. As it could change throughout the day. They're open from 7am to 1130pm every day! Amazing ;)

One star for the friendly and helpful staff in the front. Zero stars for the half-assed doctors and grumpy MAs and nurses in the clinic. If you've been busy or had a long day, I feel for you. But please don't take it out on the patients you are caring for. Be professional. And doctors? Seriously, I cannot understand how you are assessing a patient without even touching them or fully stepping into the room. Drive by doctor sighting, standing in the doorway as he stares at clipboard and barely even talks to patient. Doesn't look at history, makes 2 second judgement and digs out. No. You need to walk into the room, assess, then discuss plan of care with patient. Shame on you for not even providing that basic minimum. As it is a walk-in clinic without scheduled appointment times, I can understand if it is crowded, there is the long 3 hour wait. But it is not okay to dismiss a patient without looking at the history and current condition. I am thankful for the referral to an actual doctor though. Hopefully we can get some effective treatment and decent care.

ALL DAY, EVERY DAY: Walk-ins welcome 24/7! (I like the sound of that.) This 24-hour clinic is located in the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel. FYI, this hotel does not offer valet... Self park ONLY. GOOGLE MAPS TO THE RESCUE: My bf was uber sick on a Sunday afternoon and not willing to wait hours to get into the ER. I had a hell of a time trying to find a place open that day at that hour...Thankfully, Google turned me on to Doctors on Call. Google maps lead us to the Princess Kaiulani Hotel, where we had to figure out on our own that valet was not offered. We parked in the structure and due to the M.I.A. elevator, walked down 5 flights of stairs. THE WAIT: The clinic was empty, meaning my bf would get seen a lot quicker. We filled out the usual paperwork and signed his consent to treatment form, and waited. Not even 10 minutes of sitting and we were called in. Woohoo! THE DOCTOR IS IN: Dr. Jeffrey Tash was very talkative and upbeat. He took the time to explain and answer any questions we had. After writing my bf's prescription, we were on our way. We checked out at the front, paid $130 for the office visit, got our validation, and left. In and out. Love it.

This place is great. Not only is it convenient, all the employees are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was recently in Honolulu and I had a mishap of breaking a limb. I was in and out within 2 hours--they had everything I needed. Xrays, crutches, boot for my leg. They also followed up with me the next week to make sure everything was OK with me. Hopefully I won't need them again, but I'm sure glad I know they're there.

I had a really bad sore throat and found this place on yelp. I was able to walk from my hotel. The wait was short even with several people ahead of me. The doctor was wonder ful and gave me a prescription for antibiotics. My advice is to have them fill it here instead of trying going to a pharmacy. I waited longer at the pharmacy and still had to pay full price.

Open late and convenient. I honestly don't have a primary physician since i don't like going to the doctor's so this works with me well. Nurses are nice and process is smooth. I live close to Waikiki so it's well worth the cab ride if I don't want to drive. They just moved to the Sheraton with a brand new facility! :)

From the front desk staff, to the nurse, and finally the Dr. I received amazing service. I am so happy I found this facility. I only wish the Urgent Care clinic at home (Oregon) was up to the same standards.

Yesterday I had an awful Migraine that started on our plane flight over from California and only got worse. I was happy to find this place around the corner from our hotel! I was seen quickly, the doctor and medical assistant were sensitive to my pain and I feel great today! The medical assistant was so sweet and gave me the best shots ever, they didn't hurt a bit! So happy to know we have this resource close by!!!

Had a great experience here! Came in super dizzy and didn't know what was going on with me. The nurses and doctor Tash were super friendly and supportive. They didn't rush things and made me feel very comfortable. Great treatment of their patients and I only waited for 15min in the waiting room. I remember one particular nurse who stayed by my side after I got dizzy again and almost dropped to the floor. She was not only very friendly, but super sexy too, which definitely help me recover quicker! Great job guys and a huge thank you!

Wow, what an amazing find! I had arrived in Honolulu in the evening and noticed a nagging staph infection cyst had gotten worse throughout that day. It kind of worried me, so I started checking yelp for urgent care clinics. I had just finished a round of antibiotics and the sore was not going away. Good ole Yelp showed a Straub clinic less than 2 blocks away from me (right in Waikiki), and better yet, opens at 7am! I was there at 6:55 and was the first person in the building. A really quick 3 minutes to fill out the form and give them my ID and insurance, and I was with an admitting RN within 10 min. After checking the vitals (super friendly and nice RN) I was taken into the room to wait for the doctor. The doctor came in within 2 minutes and after a 5 minute conversation, got me a prescription for another round of antibiotics. She was very thorough and very nice. Definitely cannot think of one negative thing about this place or it's staff. A+++

Where can you see a general Internist on a Sunday without going to an ER? Here, at Doctors on Call! I didn't want to wait until Monday, and my doctor is usually incredibly busy, making it nearly impossible to get an appointment asap. If you are in this predicament, consider going to Doctors on Call... This office doesn't take appointments and is first come first serve. Most people that come here are tourists and shie away when they hear that their $130 fee is due at that visit. Lucky for me, HSMA is honored here and I had a marginal copayment. On this Sunday at around 11am, I was next to see a doctor. Two other people came after but it was still relatively slow... They used to be 24/7 but have changed their hours from 7am - 11pm.... Service here was fantastic... from the receptionist, nurses, and the doctor. All were very superb people-wise. I found the doctor, Dr Tish (?), easy to talk with... Instead of me having to go to a pharmacy to pick out a prescription, they gave me medication... awesome save more $$.... Again, need to see a doctor on the weekend? Consider here!

This place was so great. My fiancé and I had sore/scratchy throats and we didn't want the test of our trip to be ruined. But we also didn't want to spend the whole day in a medical facility. So I looked around on yelp and this place had great reviews. Sure enough the place was awesome. So fast and helpful. They took my insurance (tri care) and my finances (united health). We were in and out in less than an hour with prescriptions for antibiotics. They directed us to kuhio pharmacy and we are on track to being healthy and enjoying Hawaii again thanks to straub doctors on call in Waikiki. One thing to note is that it is located in the princess kialani Sheraton hotel lobby and there was no parking. So walk if you can.

Great, friendly nurses and doctors! Went to get my stitches removed and was seen in 30 minutes and the front desk and nurses were very nice. The doctor helped and he was friendly and down to earth. Nice clean clinic, would definitely recommend this clinic if you live in waikiki.

I was lucky enough to walk into a reef while surfing, then break out in a terrible rash. I took a chance and called Docs on Call. They not only pre-registered me over the phone, they had a shuttle pick me up. Docs on Call had my medication on site and accepted my PPO. 1.5 hours later, I was back at our hotel. Docs on Call really saved the day! I want to also add that Jose the shuttle driver is awesome. I can only imagine what he has to tolerate on a daily basis; however, he was friendly and humorous. I was feeling horrible on the ride over, but his demeanor made the ride much better. Thank you Jose! ***If you are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, please note the office hours information about Docs on Call in the hotel rooms is not accurate!

Checked in last night for my cold symptoms. I was greeted right away by the Patient Service Representative she made sure all my information was up to date. There was no line so they took me in in 10 mins after signing in, nurse was nice, the doctor came within 5 mins to consult with me. I saw Dr. Kauhane and he was very concerned with my health, asked me questions and listened to my cold experience for the prior week. I was out of the clinic within 1/2 hr! Validated parking as well. It was a great experience and that's what all clinics should be.

I was traveling internationally and shortly before boarding the first of two flights that would get me to Honolulu, figured out I was sick and needed to seek urgent care once I was back in the US. The plans for the evening layover in Honolulu quickly went from "romantic walk along Waikiki Beach" to "figure out where to find urgent care on a Sunday evening and go visit them". Everyone at Straub Doctors On Call was wonderful. We were exhausted from jetlag and many hours of travel, but everyone was so patient and sympathetic. The receptionist in particular was very patient as she explained the cost and waited for us to figure out our best options. The doctor was thorough and careful but prompt with a diagnosis and prescription. The nurse was stellar: very warm and went the extra mile to help out. She called around several drugstores, gave us pointers to which drugstore would still be open and would offer the cheapest prescription option, printed out a map and directions to said drugstore, and also gave a dinner recommendation since I was supposed to take the meds with food. Since we were traveling, they also gave us contact information in case we needed another medical practitioner to get in touch with them. Getting sick while traveling was awful but this walk-in clinic made it a much better experience than it might have been. Professional and helpful and wonderful people to be around when you're sick and/or anxious. If I lived there I would switch to them as my PCP immediately. Oh, and in case that's not enough, they have free wifi.

Was feeling sick this past week at work. Went in on Saturday after work around 515pm was out of the office with medicine in hand around 545pm. I was the only one in waiting room when I got there. When I was done with doctor, another person came in to explain the medicine. When I left room the doctor and other staff were cruising on computer and just hanging out. When I went in the waiting room there were about 5 people there. Don't know why they don't see the patients faster. Seems like the doctor and staff just cruise in back room and make people wait for no reason.

Professional and prompt, I was so happy to find this after getting a sinus infection in the first few days of my vacation. They told me it would be about 2 hours so I went home and came back and was in with a doctor within 10 minutes of returning. They accepted my insurance even though I only had an image of the card and were very friendly. I would have paid anything for some relief and was glad to not have to spend all day in a waiting room.

Thank the lord we were in America when my husband decided to try paddle boarding and slice his foot open on the ocean floor. The lifeguard sent us here, a very easy walk from the beach, even with someone with a foot injury. It was easy, breezy when we got there. Sign in, wait about 10 minutes, go see the nurse then the doctor. They were going to give him 2 stitches but actually thought it would be better to just glue him so he could still do activities since it was only the second day of our trip. It was much appreciated and wanted to give them some credit for helping us out in what could have been a very bad situation.

I decided to go in for a skin condition. Not wanting to burden an emergency room I decided to try Doctors On Call in the Princess Kaiulani Hotel. Granted it was a Sunday morning @ 8:00 not the busiest of times but nevertheless. Keiko the receptionist was gracious and concise with her instruction on what she needed from me and what to fill out to get examined. Another nurse (forgot her name) took my blood pressure and temperature. She as well was welcoming and put me at ease. Dr. Concepcion was professional during the exam and informative as she answered my questions. A quick diagnosis with what she was going to prescribe me and we were almost done. A young man came in gave me a prescribed shot, didn't feel it, and let me know I had to wait ten mins. just in case I had a strange reaction to the shot. Standard practice. Ten mins. later Dr. Concepcion came in with my prescription paper asked if I had any questions and released me. I paid the receptionist thanked them and left. An easier visit than I expected. I think going on a Sunday morning is a good time to visit Doctors on Call for most of the tourists are just getting up or having breakfast. I recommend Doctors on Call for their spot on diagnosis, professionalism and courtesy of their staff. Much Mahalos!

i've been coming here for the past 20 years for various reasons, usually for random drug screens or if my gout acts up in the middle of the night, if based solely on care and treatment for this location, i'd probably give a five star rating. if based on wait time, a 2 star, i've gone in there while there was no one either in the waiting lobby nor in any of the exam rooms and have still had to wait 15~20 minutes before going in for exam or tests. based on friendlyness or front staff,,, hard choice between 1 or 2 stars, friendlyness and compassion while someone is in pain is out the window, i realize that they are dealing with people that are sick or in pain, but geez, compound that with seemingly uncaring unmotivated (sorry to interrupt your reading the island choice coupon book) desk girls, makes for an unpleasant time, the only saving grace is the doctors are good and caring and it's one of the few 24/7 options other than going to the emergency ward at a hospital, i'll surely return but i'll bring a book. if possible avoid the busy times- mid morning till dinner time
