Oooooh... Siam Garden Cafe, where have you been hiding all my life?! This place is a legit HIDDEN gem. Emphasis on the hidden! Nestled in that shopping center along Nimitz Highway known for housing Sensually Yours and Subway, I never would have thought I could find such an amazeballs thai place! The parking in this place is a little wonky, entrances from the left and right side of the shopping center divert to the parking garage in the middle. The parking is covered but be sure to pay attention to the signs, a lot of the parking is reserved for tenants, but keep an eye out for customer parking. In terms of food, - Floating Market Noodles: OMG IN YOUR MOUTH. Seriously. I was a little skeptical on this dish just judging by the description but this dish is phenomenal! Got it with beef and it was like an amped up version of pho! The broth is a little on the dark side, which reminded me a bit of vietnamese bo kho. I absolutely loved this! I haven't seen this offered in any other restaurants, and for that reason alone I will come back just for this! - Shrimp and Bean Thread Casserole: Name is deceiving... Is it a casserole if it's served in a bowl? Me thinks not. Actual serving is smaller than the picture seems, but it is definitely a good amount. The flavor takes a little warming up to at first--the ginger and cilantro takes a little to actually become pronounced. Good amount of shrimp, I fished out maybe 6 from the little pot. Tasty! Reminded me a little of long rice. It's a must try if you're a fan of this type of noodle. - Yellow Curry & Sticky Rice: Ooooh, this is the absolute SCALE I use when it comes to Thai restaurants. The yellow curry here did not disappoint. The servings of veggies are hearty and they do not skimp on the meat. The flavors are spot on. Probably one of the top curries I've had thus far. The sticky rice was a little disappointing, a bit on the hard side. I'll chalk it up to me getting a bad batch before I jump to further conclusions. - Fried Chicken: Never can be done wrong. Always, always, always a MUST get! Service here is a little whatever. I thought it was no frills, but what do I care as long as i get my food, pronto! The inside is pretty nice--wooden tables and wooden chairs. The booths look cozy and the area is clean. What more could I ask for? Get your butt here for some Thai food lovin!

So good! The wait is usually long, but it's so worth it. I love the green curry with sticky rice, and fried garlic fish.. It's amazing.

I have to say we loved this place, food tastes wonderful, very friendly, great atmosphere. We thought it was a five star Till we got back to the room that evening and started having stomach pains :(

This is my absolute favorite restaurant on the island. In the six years that I've lived here, I've probably been here about 30 times, and of these times, I've only had bad service once. All other times, the food has come out faster than you'd think possible, our water has been filled, and our check comes out as soon as we want it. The food here (especially the noodle dishes) is always great and always consistent. They give huge portions, so that it is a better deal than some of the other good Thai places around. There might be a wait some nights, but it's never longer than 10 minutes because of their fast service.

Siam Garden Cafe was great ! 4.75 Stars from me. I've had to re-calibrate all of my Honolulu Thai dining experiences since eating lunch here the other day. It goes to the top of my list. Is there a better place? Let me know and I'll check it out. Sala Thai is on my list to try for example. I think every place else goes down by a star. Data: Massaman Curry with Pork, Pad Thai Noodles with tofu and Sweet and Sour fish. Massaman Curry was extremely rich wonderful curry with vegetables and huge pieces of very tender lean pork. Very nearly 5 stars, my wife and I really liked it. We just recently had a similar dish elsewhere that was 5+ stars. Pad Thai Noodles with Tofu was clearly 5 Stars. The best I've ever had! Ever! Anywhere! The Sweet and sour Fish was also 5 Stars! Sweet and sour sauce with chili's and sauteed vevetables. The fish was breaded and fried crispy. Very nicely done. We loved it. Dessert: Mangos are in season! We were looking forward to Mango Sticky Rice Dessert. They don't have it! In fact they don't have any desserts! I'm still a bit amazed. What can I say? Best Thai Food in Honolulu?: Did we just get lucky? Did we just happen to order the best items that they had on the menu? Was the waitress just being nice to us because we are sort of cool? Well probably, but, my wife and I discussed the various Thai dishes that we have recently eaten around Honolulu. We decided that Siam Garden was probably the best overall. Best Pad Thai by far! But, certain dishes elsewhere were slightly better. Until I know better this is the place that I want to go to. Slight partial point deduction due to the no dessert policy and due the above discussion. 4.75 Stars. Ambience: This location is a bit odd. Parking in back on two different levels. You can't tell if it is busy or not as you are speeding by on Nimitz. Nice interior with some unique Thai decorations and art. Dimmed lighting inside. I liked it. Vegetarian: Tofu can be substituted for meat any dish. Thai places are always vegetarian friendly. They have brown rice too.

This place is one of the best thai food places i've eaten at. I've grown up with parents who were obsessed with the cuisine, and ate it a lot. My mom shared a fish and a curry dish with jasmine rice. First of all everything smelled and looked incredible while we waiting which was barely nothing. This place is packed with flavor i have never experienced before. Not for people who don't like some spice, we had the mild setting and it was good enough at that. Place was packed when we arrived which is always a good sign. Go here one night you won't regret it :)

To sum up my experience here in one sentence: "This place has food that tastes like my mom's cooking." And yes folks, this is a good thing. I've been trying to find good Thai food on island for a while now since I've moved here. I've eaten at Bangkok Chef, Champa Thai, Phuket Thai, Keoni, Olay's, Souvaly's, and a couple of less than memorable places. Although I still have quite a few places to try out, I would have to say that Siam Garden is one of my favorite along with Olay's and Souvaly's. Listing out my order of preference: 1. Olay's / Siam Garden (tie) 3. Souvaly's 4. Bangkok Chef / Champa Thai (tie) 6. Keoni My list may differ from your's, but this is my list we're talking about here. What's so great about this place? - Open late: This is one of the few places that is actually open past 10 pm on weekdays - Food: It tastes like mom's. Need I say more? Portions are just as generous... - Price: Moderately priced for good food. Not as cheap as Olay's or other places, but not as expensive as Souvaly's - Ambiance: Recently renovated; open and ample seating for most groups. Love the Thai music videos playing in the background. - Service: No issues here. But then again, I'm ordering in Thai... - Location: Next to the adult store off Nimitz; good food is found in the shadiest of places. Check. The not-so-great stuff: - Parking: Free, but awkward. You know about the Nimitz plaza's weird parking situation... My food recommendations for a good experience: - Chicken Sateh: Better than what I (or my mom) would make at home. Shhhh...don't tell her I said that. - Tom Yum: Hot & sour soup - Som Tom: Papaya salad - Green curry w/ chicken: My personal favorite - Sticky rice - Paht Thai: Pretty much standard fare - Larb: Thai minced meat salad ***Don't try to eat all of this in one sitting!!!*** Here's the lowdown: Tastes like mom's, one of my favorites on island, moderately priced, recently renovated, order in Thai, good food in shady location, meh parking, and recommend eating a lot of different food (but not all in one sitting).

Newest findings: Friday and Saturday nights: CRAZY AWESOME!!! Seriously amazing food. All other days: Possibility of crazy awesome, but also a high probability of "mediocre to decent". The food does not even look the same. If I were more conscientious I would show you a photo comparison. Alas, I find photographing my children almost a burden so food photos are extremely unlikely. Just imagine a weekday pad seew all squishy and pale and limp. Now imagine a weekend pad seew all bronzed and tan and tender yet firm. It's a little like comparing men. Get take-out on the weekend. No one likes a limp noodle.

Main Entrees start at $9.99. One waitress didn't seem very friendly. I usually get medium spicy but their Medium spicy is spicier than other medium. About 12 tables and a small bar with a couple of tvs. Nice dark wood furnishings. About 1/3-1/2 filled in afternoon. Take out available.

Ok this place has redeemed itself since my last visit 4 years ago. Everything we ordered was excellent! We ordered the papaya salad (a little too spicy), pla la prig, fish with lime sauce, pad thai with tofu, tom yum soup and shrimp jungle curry. Service was attentive and very fast even though they were pretty busy. Must have been a bad day last time I visited - I'm glad I gave them a second chance!

I've got to say....it was ok. I went there to meet a friend and I arrived early. I sat there for 10 minutes alone...wasn't offered a menu or something to drink. As my friend walked in, we waited an additional 10 minutes before we could get a menu to begin thinking about what we wanted to order. From a food perspective, I ordered Pho. It was alright...nothing special. What I was most shocked about was that they didn't have hoisin or sriracha sauce in house to accompany my soup. That was kind of a let down as I like my Pho spicy.

This is the best Thai food I've ever had. I was introduced to this place by coworkers and lucky enough to work in the same building as it as well! The food here is amazing, both in the restaurant and as take-out. My go-to items are the pad thai (which I never order in other restaurants) with chicken, panang curry with chicken, tom yum with shrimp, drunkard's noodles and the crab curry. The thing to remember and to choose wisely about is the spiciness level. They are not kidding with their spiciness. I always go for the lowest, which is mild, and add spice if I need to. They will not take back your order if you ordered too spicy. Many of their entrees have the choice of protein, which can be chicken, shrimp, beef, or tofu. Everything about this restaurant is authentic Thai cuisine (as much as I would know) and I'd highly recommend that you try this place. It is just amazing.

This place was highly recommended and boy was I disappointed. We did take out so I can't make any notes on the place or the customer service other than the woman who took our order was polite. I got the chicken pad thai and it had absolutely zero flavor. Can't even eat it. Not worth it when I don't enjoy it at all. She didn't ask me my preference on spice so I don't know if I was supposed to tell her or they just make it the across the board. Maybe this is what made it awful? The Spring rolls were delicious but I'd be impressed if they messed up spring rolls. My husband got the ginger stir fry and he requested medium heat. He wasn't found of the medium heat so next time he would probably get it more mild, although he did say he wouldn't order this dish again. Not sure if it was because of the heat or what but he still ate it. He wasn't as disappointed as I am. Anyway, 2 stars for the polite woman on the phone and the spring rolls. So disappointed in the pad thai. Will try another establishment in hopes I find pad thai I love on this island like I do back home.

Legit... I have been to Thailand on several occasions and the flavors at Siam Garden is as close as it gets. For the die hard a there is even Mekong! Don't let the "$$" fool you because the portions are generous. In fact, an order of "regular" Tom Ka will run you $10 BUT it serves 4-6 people easily. I'll definitely be coming back. I've now found my favorite Thai restaurant on Honolulu and ties as my #1 on Oahu.

This place is popular in the area and the prices are reasonable. Parking is free and if you are lucky, you can find a spot in the front. Service lacks here and if you want something, you will have to flag one of servers down each and every time you need something. I asked for a bowl of rice and refill of iced water. The server brought the water but then forgot the rice. Table service here is only taking your order and delivering your food to your table. I could'nt even get them to bring my check and when they did, I had to flag them down again to grab my credit card and run the charge. It was not like they were busy as the three servers that evening were standing around drinking iced tea and mostly talking among themselves.

This place ROCKS!! Definitely my go to place for Thai food in town. Excellent food, price, portion, customer service, ambiance and parking. Realistically, what else could you ask for? Great vegetarian options despite the fact that I had ordered a tofu Massaman curry but since they make it early in the day - the only option they had was a beef Massaman. I fell off the vegetarian wagon and did enjoy that Massaman curry, I figured I could always pick the meat out since I love this style curry. Major fail on the self imposed diet restrictions but it was so worth it.I could taste bits of grated coconut in the curry as well as the melody of sweet and spicy in the dish. This was my favorite dish and yes, I wanted to lick the bowl clean and dry. The drunken noodles with seafood was quite tasty as was the pad thai. Pad thai noodles were equally moist, flavorful and fresh tasting. The vegetables were not soggy and stewing in the noodles at all. I'd argue that this entree was made to order and not mass produced for the pm service. Really quite the freshest pad thai I've had in a long while. Having eaten here now, I feel compelled to edit many of my Thai restaurant reviews. This becomes my gold standard (short of going to Thailand and having a 5 star Yelp meal there) and being a Thai food lover this place has raised my bar. PARKING: if you can't find parking in the front there is plenty of parking in the "structure," and behind the building. I've always been discouraged to come here before not knowing that there was parking options aside from the front.

I've been coming here for years and it's the only place that reminds me of my aunty's home cooking! The service isn't always the best or the friendliest but the food is worth it!

The food here actually taste really good but the service and hygiene sucks. I went here three times and every time I hv to wait for few minutes being seated. After that I hv to wait for another 5 minutes to get water and food menu.. And then I hv to wait for another 5(or more..) for the waitress to take my order....... Today I asked for water, the waitress was cleaning another table and she didn't clean her hand before pouring the water to the glass...... And when she took the Thai tea to me I could still see the food from the dirty table on her hand...... As for the food, So far I've only tried their curry rice. They all taste good. The Thai tea is good too! I really love the Thai tea here. Sadly I can only give three stars to this restaurant for their lack of service and hygiene problem......

Woah this place really took my friend and I to flavortown. We went with the not so usual dishes this time (green curry and pad Thai) and tried some new things. So worth it! We got the pad woon sen, cellophane noodles with a citrus dressing, shrimp and pork medium spicy. This salad was addictive! The citrus dressing is strong but goes so well with flavoring the rest of the ingredients. We also got spicy eggplant (pad makeua). The flavor was so good, a bit of sweetness but still so savory and the eggplant itself was cooked nicely to a soft texture. The sweet thai basil in there just took it to the next level. This was also medium spicy. Lastly we got jungle curry. A very sweet curry but a nice change from green curry. Parking is plentiful and service is good. Best thai food I've ever had, from here to NYC.

Every so often I like to get together with my friends Sharon H. & Linda C. so we can catch up on things, and have a wonderful meal together. After searching around on Yelp.......I came across a place called - Siam Garden Cafe. This Thai restaurant is located at the Nimitz Business Center. As I drove up to the restaurant, I was lucky, as I was able find an open space just in front of the restaurant. I must say tonight the restaurant was packed! There were a lot of people waiting outside of the restaurant, and when I went inside, every single table was taken in the beautiful restaurant. What can I saw about the place.........beautiful trendy Thai decor in the restaurant..........I was surprised with the volume of people who came here to eat, as from the outside of the restaurant, you wouldn't know how popular this place was. We ordered following items tonight - 1 Fried Chicken - Thai style fried marinated chicken served with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. 2. Drunkard's Noodles - Stir fried noodles with basil, chilies, & garlic. We ended up getting the medium spicy noodles which was still pretty hot. 3. Papaya Salad - Thailand's most popular salad. Made from green papaya, long beans, tomatoes, chilies, & lime. The salad is prepared mild, medium or spicy. 4. Garlic Fish - Crispy deep fried fish sprinkled with fried garlic flakes and served with spicy & sour dipping sauce. Can be prepared either as fillet pieces or a whole fish. We ended up getting the whole fish. This restaurant also serves Jasmin rice, brown rice, & the famous sticky rice too. Let's get down wid' da grub............ The Fried Chicken was a HOME RUN! They really knocked this dish out of the ball park! Man it was so goooooooood! Chicken was marinaded perfectly & fried to a crispy golden brown. A sweet & sour sauce provided with the fried chicken really complemented this dish well. As for the Drunkard Noodles.........this was also a hit for me! Very tasty stir fried noodles, it was a wee bit on the very spicy side, as we had ordered it and asked for a medium spiciness. Papaya Salad.....another winning dish! A light & delicious salad. The only thing I didn't like about this dish, was the way they had presented it. I could not understand them cutting a side of cabbage with the salad. When I looked at the salad, I was wondering how you would eat that?.........Do we cut it up ourselves? Wassup with dat? I think they should have found a way to integrate the cabbage with the rest of the salad, if they had done that, it would have been a superb salad! Last of all the Garlic Fish...........this dish for me was a total fail! As beautiful as it looked, I must say the fish was overcooked, so the meat of the fish was a bit hard. The sauce that was served with the fish was delicious, but too bad the fish was over cooked. I would probably pass on this item. Of course when you have all of this hot & spicy grindz, a ice cold Heineken was the perfect drink to soothe your taste palate when eating all of this spicy foods. They also serve 3 types of rice here, they had brown rice, Jasmine rice, and of course the famous Thai sticky rice too! After talking about all the good food we had..........why the 3 star rating? Well, I must say the service was real poor tonight, It took forever for the waitress to come by to drop off water, & take our order. Also, we repeatedly had to ask the waitress to bring our beers, and not once did she come by to check on us after the food was dropped off. When we needed other things like napkins, I ended up asking another waitress to take care of our request. And for the rest of the night, I did not see our waitress again. When it was time to settle our bill, another waitress ended up bringing the bill. Would I come back here again? Maybe..........(but I won't be coming back here real soon), as there are other great Thai restaurants in town..........and I can probably get better service!

Been coming here for years and hands down my favorite Thai joint in Honolulu. Not very adventurous on Thai as I usually get what I love (some sort of curry) and have to say all the curries here are pretty solid as is the spice (though I do have that standard compliant when you say "hot" you get medium unlike when I say "hot" outside the USA and it's actually hot). Flavor wise the massaman curry probably the best though for some reason it's the one curry you can't get here with chicken and as a result I usually get the jungle. Parking is plentiful here, usually don't have to wait more than ten minutes to get seated, and the prices right. Outside the spice thing the only two gripes I have is the appetizers are very meh to subpar even for the standard Thai appetizers and everybody I know who has had the soup here found it pretty dull and bland also though I can't speak to experience as not a soup guy. Highly recommend and I try to repeat myself every couple months.

I actually really like Siam Garden Café, and the only con that I have to mention is that their service is a little inconsistent... sometimes they're inattentive, and it can take a bit of waving down to get their attention. Service aside, this is my go-to Thai restaurant. Whether you go with the usuals (Pad Thai, curry, or spring and summer rolls), or get something like Laab (or Larb, at some places), you won't be disappointed with the flavors. My girlfriend and I shared summer rolls, Laab, and Fish Filet w/Celery. They were all good, but I really enjoyed the lightly sautéed fish w/celery dish, perfect after a good workout session at the gym. Another dish I want to try is their Drunkard Noodles (Pad Kee Mao), which I hear good things about. Siam Garden Café is on Nimitz, closer to Best Buy, and there's usually enough parking in the shopping complex structure. Their prices are reasonable, and the food is worth it.

One of the best Thai foods I have ever eaten. Very authentic, tasty, and service is excellent. Restaurant is also clean and comfortable. Must try the red curry with sticky rice but everything on their menu is awesome.

This is my #1 to-go place for Thai food. Every time I come here, the food is delicious! Service is quick and friendly and the wait is never too long either. In my opinion, I would say that Siam Garden Cafe is one of the best Thai restaurants in town. However, parking may be a little difficult during busy peak hours. The restaurant interior is very nice and clean. All the dishes we ordered are always consistent and comes in large portions as well. The prices are really reasonable too. It is best to do family style and share among your friends, so everyone can have a taste of everything. Some of the many delicious options that I always order are: Panang Curry Pad Thai Crispy Noodle Stuffed Chicken Wings

Favorite Thai spot. The prices are very reasonable for their generous sizes. The noodle dishes are particularly large. Nearly all dishes ask what type of protein you'd like to add - chicken, beef, pork, tofu, or shrimp (for an extra fee). Our go-to orders - Green Curry with Tofu. Shrimp with Bean Thread. Garlic or Lime Fried Fish Filets. Don't forget to order yourself a Thai Tea if you're having a hard time with the spiciness. Normally, they aren't very crowded, but I have had to wait a few times during peak lunch and dinner times. It isn't long though. 10 minutes, tops. Parking is not really a problem. There are plenty of stalls facing Nimitz, lots in the structure, and if you must, an upstairs lot. The waitresses are really nice too.

This place was so good! Hubby and I decided to try this place out for our date night dinner before our movie at Dole. The location is at a shopping strip mall. The parking is tight but there are plenty of places in front or in the garage. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. It wasn't too crowded when we got there (about 5pm) but by the time we left there was a line outside the door. The service is quick and the food was the bomb.com ! We got the spring rolls, chicken pad thai and panang curry. All were absolutely delicious. The serving size was good too. We had lots of left overs. Overall, we had a great experience here and will be back soon!

went there today for the first time and i was not disappointed. I ordered fish maw soup and it was really good. reminded me of when my mom would make them. my friend got Drunken noodle, mild but it was still very "thai spicy" .. i also ordered Pork jerky, cucumber salad and Pad see ew.. everything was delicious and for the price, the food came in generous amount. the waitresses were very nice, kept refilling our water - good customer service i would go back again!!

Well this place impressed me ...again! TIPA served me well even though I order to go since I live in Kailua...i still come here after work since its delicious! Everytime though I order Thai Te with no ice and no milk (vegan eater) and I get a half filled to Thai...but Tipa was so nice to fill it up! I'm paying for the drink, I just really enjoyed her company! Hope to see her back again ^_^

Curries and pad tai were excellent. Friendly and efficient service, long hours, and easy parking... I am a fan. Portions were relatively large, so we had plenty of take home. No items were too sweet, which is usually my gripe with American Thai food. We asked for the curries and hang over pad tai to come out spicy and that they were! We'll definitely return!

What can I say about Siam Garden that hasn't already been said? I love Thai food... And they have great Thai food. Ended up here around 9 at night and it wasn't busy. Got seated right away and the waitress came over and took care of us right away. The quality of their food is good. Their service is good. The establishment was clean. I ordered pad thai (my go-to) Thai dish. The noodles were stickier than I'm used to, but it was still flavorful. Also got the Green Curry and it was delicious! Got it in medium spicy and that is good enough for me. I can't usually eat very spicy foods, so medium was a good heat. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area and craving for some good Thai food! Enjoy!

Siam Garden Cafe i Tucked away in one of the complexes on Nimitz, Siam Garden Cafe doesn't seem like much. After the gym, my boyfriend and I were craving Thai food, and had some time to kill, so we decided to drop in. The place was literally packed, but we were seated fairly quickly (within 5 mins, on a Wednesday night around 7:30pm). We ordered: Thai tea, chicken pad see ew, beef basil stirfry, sticky rice and brown rice. The Thai teas were perfect and sweet and not too watered down. The chicken pad see ew had the right amount of salt and sweet flavorings. The beef basil stirfry was very tasty - you could taste the hints of fresh basil, garlic, and fish sauce. I was under the impression that the beef would be flank steak or something, but the ground beef worked well with the sauce. This paired nicely with the sticky and brown rice. Portions are fairly large for the price you pay. However, I wish the pad see ew had more chicken. I didn't mind because I love look fun noodles. Next time, I plan to get the yellow curry and calamari! I would've ordered it this time, but I was too stuffed (a good problem). Overall, authentic Thai food for a good price + comfortable, clean restaurant + friendly staff = happy customer.

Hands down if you want the most authentic Thai food then Siam garden cafe is a must. They serve the best traditional dishes from Thailand. I love how there are so many different varieties of the Menu from appetizers, and entrees. Starting with the appetizers you must order the Fried calamari it's sooooooo ono I personally can say it's the best fried calamari I've ever had and I love going to seafood restaurants but Siams the best. They have a variety of curries to I've had the seafood panang "peanut" curry. What I like about their curry dishes are they're customizable you can choose what level if spice you want and what type of protein you want in it. For those who are vegetarians no fear they also offer a range of vegetarian/vegan dishes all you gotta do is ask. The restaurant itself is quite homey due to the small space but it's a good dining experience for business meetings or just an ordinary lunch date. The servers/service is also great they greet you and make sure that all your needs are met. The food comes out pretty fast as well the time I ordered and it all came on the table I only for about 6-8 minutes.

Thai restaurants in Oahu trend good and sometimes trail off--but Siam continues to deliver good service with great food after all these years. Always good vegan options. Who would think a Thai place on the edge of town in a strip mall with interesting storefront mates would open a door into a bit of Thailand and nice atmosphere and good food. Easy to get to from Aiea, Pearl Harbor etc. and worth the trip.

Actually, I still love the quality of the food here. 5 stars for the food!!! One star off for the service. There are no drinks listed on the menu, which is fine, but when I asked if sodas get refills, the server nodded and said one. Maybe both my boyfellow and I misunderstood because....they charged us for 4 drinks total. I didn't make a fuss as I didn't want my boyfellow to get upset (it had been a pretty long day) but yeah...not cool! However, I am newly in love with their Green Curry! Delicious! I also tried their sa-teh for the first time and think it's awesome. I highly recommend those two items.

We like it on the weekends! Fried rice--we will scarf down 2 orders for a family of 5. Tom Yum soup, curry, sticky rice, pad thai. Love the eggplant salad--spicy, garlicky, roasted flavor. Wine and beer are cheap. What could be better?

I was never a big fan of Thai food until I tried Siam Garden. I've tried other Thai restaurants in Hawaii but I think I've only enjoyed this place the most and tonight was actually my first time dining in here. The place is quite small, a bit tight, and very casual looking. It seems to get super busy during lunch and dinner hours. Not sure if there was a waiting list or not because the lady just told us to sit in the corner.. Me and my friends ordered calamari, yellow curry, seafood pad thai, and some kind of stir fry. Food was great, but I personally think their service is horrible. Considering the fact that we were placed in the corner, our waiter didn't even bother to check up on us at all except for when she took our order and gave us our food. My cup of water was not refilled throughout the entire time that we were there. Oh and it was so complicated to get their attention when we wanted our bill!!!!! Omg. Me and my friends constantly raised our hands, tried to make eye contact with them and tried every damn gesture to get their attention just so we could get our bill. We felt completely avoided and my friend was in a rush too! Like geez, just because we're in the corner doesn't mean you can just ignore us. They took forever to finally realize that we were calling them and it was actually the lady in the bar area that noticed us. Annoying. Food was delicious, but they lack good customer service. They need to learn how to be more attentive. To be honest, I wouldn't have given a tip due to being avoided so many times but we eventually just gave them because at least the food was yummy.

I've come here before and the food was delicious. The past two times I've wanted to eat here after work they turned us away because they wanted to close early. Tonight they closed early so no curry for dinner tonight. I was really looking forward to eating here with my girlfriend. The hours listed on yelp is incorrect.

This place has some really delicious food. Walking in was really cool. You really get the feel of Thai from the tables, chairs and decor. The Thai music on the TV was also playing. Moving on. The food was amazing. We got the pineapple curry, jungle curry, pad Thai amd the crab curry stir fry. The curries were amazing. They were creamy and perfectly balanced. The pineapple curry also had some acidity that I really liked. The crab stir fry was ok. The texture was a little mushy but the taste came through. The service was really awesome and the food came out right away. I can definitely attest to this place's food and atmosphere.

Good food. Had lunch here today with a group of 8. Quite slow to provide menus and take orders but once placed, the food came out pretty quickly (except for an order of crab curry). Very tasty. A bit expensive for lunch at $10 plus $1.50 for rice (really, rice is an extra at an Asian restaurant?) but the servings were large. Thai iced tea was good too. Would definitely go back.

This place has definitely become my go-to place for when I'm craving amazing Thai food. Wait...so why the three-star review then? To put it simply -- Food: 5 stars. Service: 1 star...I'd give it less than 1 star if I could, too. Parking is ample in Nimitz Plaza so there should be no problem regarding parking. I parked and walked in with a friend and we both awkwardly stood by the "Please wait to be seated" sign for a few minutes before somebody finally notices us and POINTS to a table. The person who didn't even bother to greet us and only pointed to an open table ended up being our server. We were given our waters and some time to look over the menu before our server came back for our order. We ended up ordering a Papaya Salad, Drunkard's Noodles with beef, and Tom Yum with shrimp. Most of what you see on the menu can be customized according to spice level (mild, medium, spicy) and seafood/meat. The papaya salad came first and it tasted like any other papaya salad you can buy at a different Thai restaurant. Nothing too special but it was a nice way to start our meal. The Drunkard's Noodles came next and...the flavor was out of this world. The spicy-and-sweet combination was amazing and the portion size was definitely fit for at least two. I fell in love at first bite and I couldn't put my chopsticks down for even a split second! It was a rainy evening and we opted for some soup to match the weather. The tom yum was the best part of the meal for me. It was flavorful, filling, and really hit the spot. I literally couldn't put my spoon down for this either. Since I raved about the food, I think I should go a little more into the service we received. We asked for napkins and none came. We ended up having to take some from an empty table. Waters were filled for the most part but we had to constantly turn our heads and SEEK the attention of our server in order to get more. I'll probably be coming back here again for my Thai fix and I'm honestly hoping that the service is better the next time I choose to dine here.

Had lunch here and I told them I was a vegetarian and I didn't want fish sauce and they accommodated my wish. I had the red curry and veggies!!! I was in veggie red curry heaven! I just ladled that awesome sauce on my steamed rice and went to town. BF ordered a beef dish that he did not like as much but I scooped some of that sauce on his and he was happier. He will order something different next time. Price was reasonable. Service was okay. We had to wave them down for a few things but whatever my lunch was delish!

The food is always outstanding... service: spotty Summer rolls & sateh are great appetizers I always go with basil chicken, ordered "Hot," & an order of jasmine rice. It's good sometimes to have thai tea available in case you need to cool your mouth a little. My boys usually go with the Thai fried rice

Best Thai food on the island. Fast and delicious. I love the pad Thai and any of the curries. You get so much food you will have lunch the next day! Great deal, great service, mind blowing food for take out or dining in.

We usually come here in the afternoon as dinner is usually busy. We started with the Spring Rolls and Thai Iced Tea. My husband had the Beef Jungle Curry and I had the Beef Yellow Curry, each with a side of Jasmine rice. We love coming here and it's definitely one of our favorite Thai restaurants. The food and service has always been great.

The best Thai I have tried on island yet. I love the decor and the service is generally on point. I highly recommend eating in! Try the drunkard noodles and the super crispy chicken. Awesome!

Thai foooood! Something about all the peanut in the world being involved in Thai food makes me just want to keep gobbling it all up! Parking: Free anywhere in the Nimitz Center building (out front, behind, or upstairs). Ambiance: It's weird because it kind of reminds me of someplace that could have been in the midwest w/ lots of worn wood high-backed booths and stuff, but they have endless Thai music videos playing on the TV and random Thai decor all around. Food: You can ask for your spice level (mild, medium, hot) for pretty much everything you order, but I think medium is a good level for most people. I've tried their laab (minced meat stirfry lettuce cups), pad thai, panang (Peanut) curry, and a few other dishes, but my favorite is definitely the panang curry! Like I said, I love me some peanuts and the whole curry tastes like peanuts! Obviously, Thai food is NOT the place for folks w/ nut allergies, but it's great for me! An order of rice thrown into a bowl of panang curry and I am set to go! Yummeh! Pricing is actually pretty reasonable for the dish---quantity & quality wise. You can pretty much expect to get what you're paying for. For the future: I'd really like to try more of their menu, but it's just too many carbs :( I either need to workout more, or just think about Thai food less lol

What I like about this place, aside from the food, is that there is plenty of parking, seating, and it's clean! I find it difficult to write a review for a place that does everything right. We ordered the papaya salad, pineapple curry, and drunkards noodles. We asked for everything in medium and the papaya salad nearly burned my mouth off, but I worked through pain because it was really good! My spice tolerance is going down...is that normal? haha. After I recovered, I was able to enjoy the entrees and their spice level was just right, not to mention delicious! You can tell they use fresh ingredients/vegetables. The service was great, too. They weren't too far behind when we needed more water. I'm looking forward to going back!

Much better experience this time. Same waitress with the poker face but she was more attentive. Panang curry is a winner! I'll be back.

Kenny F. and I returned to Siam Garden Cafe for take out yesterday. We ordered a few items for pupus: Fried Calamari ($11.99): Soggy and bland. If you like the sweet thai chili dipping sauce that accompanies it, then I guess it won't be as bad (I don't care for that sweet sauce). Pad See Ew w/Beef (stir-fried flat noodles in a tasty shoyu-based sauce, $9.99): Beef was nice and tender, the seasoning was spot on. The shoyu-based sauce was light but quite flavorful, not overly sweet like other Thai restaurants. Crispy Fried Chicken ($8.99): Cold but still tasty. And of course we had to get the Ka Moo Pa-Lo Tod again (5 Spice Fried Pork Leg, $18.99)! This crispy fried pork leg was just as delicious as the first time. Cold, but thankfully still crispy. We didn't request for it to be chopped up this time. Beautiful isn't it? yelp.com/biz_photos/siam… It's very tender. I was easily able to pull the bone right out and just used kitchen shears to cut up the pork leg. The pork was just as tender and flavorful as the first time. The crispy skin remained crunchy while the gelatinous fatty parts just melts in your mouth! As mentioned above, all other fried items were all cold soggy by the time we got to it. This was all due to the mediocre service (again). I thought we could avoid it by getting take-out this time, but the girl who ran my credit card forgot to give it back to me because she was in such a hurry. When I called, she immediately knew right away what I was asking for and said "credit card, yes we have it! can you come back?" If they had called me right after noticing it, we could've returned right away. Instead we had to find out after we were already back in town and had to go all the way back to Nimitz, catching traffic, ugh. The whole process should've only taken 10-15 mins or so from Kenny's house and back. But we wasted so much time having to return to the restaurant just to pick up my credit card that the food ended up cold and soggy. If it wasn't for the pig's feet, I would've dropped this review down to 3 stars.

Tonight has been my third time here, & probably the best time I've experienced. The food I had is for sure 5 stars! My husband traveled to Thailand a lot from 2009-2012, and said he could never find a Thai restaurant that came close to the food he had in Thailand. Until Siam Garden. We had a party of four, so we ordered the summer rolls, fried chicken, pad Thai, the spicier version of the pad see iew, calamari salad, and the beef salad. All tasty...flavor was excellent. I wasn't in the mood for Thai food, but so glad we went!!

Food here has always been really tastey,so many choices & we didn't have to wait very long for it to come out. You don't want to order something spicy when it's busy because u won't see your waitress till its time to pay your bill! (which=no water, numb lips) LOL

I am in a quandry in my decision to write a review of this restaurant. I decided that I will write a review of this restaurant and provide some facts that are not necessarily indicative of most diners experience, but it has been mine on the past 3 visits. Let me get past the rating part first then if you so please, you can continue reading my post. **** Food quality--4 stars-- I really enjoy the taste and amount of food served here for the few Thai food items that I enjoy to regale alone or with company. What/who ever is in the back, making this wonderfulness, please stay! *** Food quantity and price. Most items on the menu are still under $10. For the amount that is provided, quite a good deal. **** Parking-- lots of stalls. * Service and experience-- 1 star--much lower than mediocre. I honestly think that there may be too many tables and not enough help to maintain acceptable service. Let me begin with a story of a dis-satisfied former diner who had taken up favor for the food from Siam Garden. My dis-satisfaction happened over several visits in a period of about 3 weeks to a month. The actions that led to me avoiding this restaurant for about 15 years, previous to which this restaurant was my favorite for a few years. First offense; I had dinner reservations for a date that I thought would enjoy the food at my "favorite" Thai place at the time. I arrive at scheduled time. I get an apology because they have a function scheduled that took all of the seats in the restaurant. Understood, perhaps a scheduling error, we found another place to dine. Second time; Just about a week or two later, I had reservations for a group of 7 or 8 friends that I had visiting from Germany. We arrive hungry and looking forward to this great food I had been talking up. Upon arrival, I get a "Sorry, We made a mistake with the reservations", then was asked if we could wait 30 minutes for a table to open up and for them to prepare a table. We left and found somewhere else to eat. I just could not believe that that happened to me again. Fast forward about 15 years. I have let go of my previous unfortunate experieinces and have become more interested in making an attempt to squash the past. So after watching a movie this past weekend, I decided to stop in and give it a try. I arrive +1 and sign in for a table. There are 4 others ahead of me and the tables are all full. As tables empty names are called to fill the empty seats. Then after waiting about 40 minutes, I notice a couple who arrived about 15 minutes after I arrived seated at a table. I go to investigate, and look at the wait list. My name is still on there not crossed out, but the 4 names below me are crossed out and I have to now ask why I was passed over? I get an apology as an oversight and fortunately the couple who was just seated heard my griping and offered their table to us. We were brought new glasses of water and menus. After taking our order our food arrived within 10 minutes. I ordered the Pad Ki Mow. I just LOVE that dish. Spicy HOT! and with the wide noodles(like chow funn) I ordered this time with chicken, basil, broccoli, onions and ONO! Somewhat like I remembered, but perhaps needs another visit. Well let me say that when I sit down to eat, I often drink 4, 5 or more glasses of water so after 10 or so minutes I was empty on the water vessel and needed a refill. I stopped a waitress and she promptly refilled said empty container, dinner continues. I thought that perhaps that refill would prompt a regular peek to check on our table. It had no such effect. 10 minutes go by, now 15. Then a server walks by headed to call another patron to be seated. I get her attention for another refill, she acknowledges and returns about 10 minutes later to fill er up. At this point I am annoyed and decided to just await some service from the staff. I check my watch to get the imaginary "stopwatch" started. Much to my chagrin we had no other visits until we asked for the bill 28 minutes later. Even after asking for the bill, we waited another 7 minutes to get it and although a container for take home food came pronto, no one came to collect the payment. I instead went to the bar and did the transaction myself and left, not in a huff but thoroughly disappointed in my experience and service received at Siam Garden. Perhaps in another 15 years, perhaps sooner, regardless. I will now again seek out other Thai establishments that I have enjoyed that offer great tasting food with respect for their patrons time and offer basic table service when dining in, BUT! If you are unfortunate like me, you can decide to come again, or because the food is SO ono... I will now just temper my experience and not dine in, but only order to go!

Wow!!! Is all i can say to all the food at this place . This is my favorite thai place on the island. Every bite is delicious. The atmosphere here is very cute from having tvs playing thai music to the nice decor. The nom tok is delicious. I always ask for thai hot and it is spicy how i like it . The spring rolls just melt in your mouth. The friend rice mmm delicious. When i get the chance I like to come here often. Definitely recommend others to try .

I have no clue how this place has 4 stars. We ordered the spring rolls (fishy taste), pad see ew chicken (chicken was inedible, noodles were OKAY), Masaman curry with beef (beef was terrible but the curry was spiced really well, the rice was perfectly cooked), and pad Thai (this was the only really good dish). Although reasonably priced, i do not recommend.

This is an updated review: My boyfriend and I used to come here often and this would be our favorite Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, the last 3 times we've gotten sick from eating here. There's definitely a lot of MSG in their food and you'll come out thirsty and needing more water after you just downed a glass. I've gotten severe headaches and even sick to my stomach all last 3 times. My boyfriend, the same. Since then we've boycotted and haven't been back since.

I'm a huge fan of Thai food so when I needed something to eat after a late game night, I was pleased to see that Siam Garden was both nearby and still open. It's a nice restaurant and service has been good on all my visits. Now for the food. They've got pretty much all the usual Thai dishes (noodles, curries, soups, etc.). I didn't see anything particular special or unexpected on the menu, but they have pretty much every dish I'd want, and all at pretty reasonable prices. The curries are excellent and the drunkard's noodles are pretty great too. Be carefully though, as their "medium" is on the spicy side. They've also got a good Thai tea and I was pleased to notice that their brown rice is actually more of a red rice (which I love, but rarely see in restaurants). I wouldn't say that it quite hits the level of my favorite Thai restaurants, but not many places do. Really though, I can't complain about Siam Garden. I may have originally gone mainly because they're open late, but I'd be glad to return at any time of day.

I've come here about 4 times because my gf really likes Thai food. We only come here because they're open late. She thinks the food rates 3 stars, I say 2. Service is consistently HORRIBLE. it seems to get worse with every visit. This last time will be my last time here as I cannot take being treated like this anymore. It seems like we're bothering the server who is here all the time. The other 2 servers were a little more friendly but seemed to keep "forgetting" to give me things like utensils or napkins. Asked each server for napkins. They each said ok and walked away and never came back. 5 min later I walked up to get it myself. Brought our entrees before appetizers.

I love the atmosphere and my Pad Thai was delicious. If you want some spice, which I was expecting, make sure you tell them beforehand. My Pad Thai had no spice to it at all. However, I'm giving this place 3 stars for my first time experience here. First, my order took a while to come out and then before I even took a bite, I found a chunk of beef on top of my noodles which tells me they do not take into consideration cross contamination when cooking a vegetarian meal. I requested Pad Thai veggies with tofu. Second, the service is very slow and negligent. I had to get up and tell the bartender that there was meat in my food. She took it to the back and they brought me out a new plate...not sure if they actually cooked me a new plate or if they just removed the chunk of meat. I'll give this place a second try since I'd like to have their Pad Kee Mau (drunken noodles) and Massaman Curry.

The food is great! Tonight we had the stuffed chicken wings, pad Thai noodles and fish fillet! All yummy! We've been there three times in two months already. The service is great with one exception. The waitresses don't offer dessert to you. They just bring you the check. I know they are busy and have a crowd waiting, but sometimes I would enjoy a dessert if offered.

In what appears to be our mission to try every Thai place in a ten mile radius before 2014, we found ourselves here Friday night. I came in with high expectations after seeing so many good reviews from fellow Yelpers, especially since this place is one of the top rated results when looking for Thai. Surprisingly they were not very busy when we arrived and we were seated immediately in a window booth with a "quaint view" of the parking lot and Nimitz. Our server came quickly with menus and water, and I was a little surprised that she did not ask us if we wanted to order any additional drinks. Our water was warm which is a pet peeve of mine but not a deal breaker. We ordered the summer rolls, chicken pad see ew, and basil chicken with brown rice. The summer rolls were good, but were a little dry and tasted like maybe they had sat out a bit or were uncovered (the wrapper). The pad see ew and basil chicken were both delicious. With perfect flavor. When we were done eating I was surprised that we weren't asked if we wanted dessert and she just brought us our check, but I'm still giving four stars for food taste for the entrees alone. They could definitely use some improvements in the customer service department, but we will definitely be back for the food.

This restaurant served food that was out of this world! Literally, stellar. If you like Thai food then oh boy are you in for a treat! Each dish had its own specific flavour, and they were all very bold! I tried the Peanut Curry, Drunkard's Noodles, and the Pad Thai (served with shrimp). Each entree was served with my choice of either chicken, beef, or pork (with a small additional charge for shrimp or seafood). The layout felt open but cozy. The restaurant was delightfully decorated. The wait staff was also very friendly. I highly recommend Siam Garden Cafe for any Thai food lover!

The food has a great taste and was seasoned well. We had several appetizers and the stuffed chicken wings had a great texture and was not burnt or undercooked. The Issan sausage had an amazing burst of flavors. The sausage was so good I completely forgot the sticky rice. The Drunkard's noodles had a good appearance and tasted good minus a green vegetable that had a bitter taste. There were very few pieces in the dish so it wasn't ruined. The service was not all that great as I had an empty glass for over 10 minutes without anyone bothering to stop. It is not a big restaurant at all and we barely received service the entire time we were here minus receiving our food and the bill. I'll give it another try at a later time but I'm "center mass" about this place.

Everything... And I mean EVERYTING from this place is delicious. Personal favorite, pork with ong chong, tom kha, seafood tom yum soup, and papaya salad. The price is so reasonable with not only the generous amount but really good authentic, home-kitchen style flavors. You won't be disappointed with this place!

So my wife and I have been looking for a good thai food spot other than Bangkok chef near Kalihi. Decided to give Siam garden cafe a try. I called my order in cause it was just me this time. Didn't want to go there and sit alone. I ordered 4 things that totaled to $34.52. Spring rolls, spicy sour soup with shrimp"HOT, massaman curry with beef"HOT", and a side of sticky rice. So the spring rolls was not impressive at all. The soup was real good. I liked it a lot. The spice was okay but not HOT. It had a good amount of shrimp and tasty mushrooms too. The massaman was good but not spicy at all and too sweet, also I thought there was too much onion and not enough beef. Although the dish was tasty and the beef was fall apart, soft. It went well with the sticky rice, which was good by the way. I think I might give them another they and eat something else. When I went to the restaurant, the inside looked clean an they a had a nice Decor going on. The staff was nice and the food was made fast. I could see how parking could be a problem though during the day. But I went at night and had lots of parking to choose from. I will post the pictures. Go find them and see for what they look like.

This is my favorite place for Thai food. You want a full Thai dining experience with pretty waitresses, who may or may not provide good service depending on the time of day, the position of the moon, and if they put on enough blush? Then come on down! The food here is great. I'm not sure what Mama-san (or former inhabitant of a small island in the western Pacific Ocean) they have working in the back but s/he can cook. Everything that I've tried, which is a lot, because I've come here for work lunches and just-because dinners, is yummy. The service...ah, the service. I'm a very easy-come, easy-go type, so bad service like not smiling, or forgetting to bring a menu, or having to stand up and walk up to the person for attention doesn't bother me, but consider this your warning. ;] Parking is aplenty. There's parking in the front, and there's a parking structure with two levels. IS IT WORTH IT?! YES. YES, IT IS. Now, go, my child!

Quite possibly the best Thai restaurant on all of Oahu. Everything we've ordered has been excellent. We especially like the seafood dishes and they spice it to your liking. Easy to park your car there, unlike most other restaurants on the island that have very limited parking. Additionally, the restaurant has a lot of tables, easily accommodating many patrons. The waitstaff is prompt and courteous. We find any excuse to go eat there. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Came for dinner on a Sunday and didn't have to wait for a table which was nice. For a family of four we ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, Red Curry with chicken, Sa-teh chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. I didn't really care for the Sa-teh, but everything else was very good, especially the fried rice, it was very tasty! As another reviewer noted, sometimes they aren't very attentive. We had to wait awhile to get containers to pack some food in and also to wait for our bill. Other than that the experience and food was good and I know I would definitely come back when I'm in the mood for some Thai food!

Who wants to eat some Pad Thai noddle with some green curry. Me myself and I... I only started eating thai food for pass few years and i learn to really love it. Thai food has some really wild flavor. some dishes can be very spicy and some dish can be very nut flavor. Most of the food i eat are Asian food and i like to eat thai food once every month. if i had to pick where to eat thai food is siam garden cafe. This place is along the alamoana blvd by best buy and it's hard to miss the restaurant since you can see it as you drive. They have big parking lot in the back so don't worry about parking when you come eat here. They have great and friendly service and food taste great. they have everything on the menu and ask for Thai hot if you love put your thong on fire. the place isn't so big so if you have more then party of 6 i think you need to call to make some reservation. I really enjoy green curry with sticky rice. they have sticky rice come in this bamboo looking pot with ziplock bag inside . when you pull it , it comes out like popsicle which make it easy to put it on the plate. Don't forget their sticky rice desert. i believe they have few flavor so please ask the worker.

Came in on Friday at 830pm since we had a lay over from the outer island before our final destination to the mainland. The place was probably about 65% occupied. Aside from the water on the table, no waitress came back to see if we had any questions or if we were ready to order for just about 20 minutes. We were pressed for time and decided to order take out instead to eat at the airport. Since they were so slow, we assumed that the kitchen may be just as slow and didn't want to risk waiting. This review is solely based on customer service. The food however was great. 2 stars deducted based on service alone.

This place is kind of a hole in the wall off of Nimitz Highway but is a contender for my favorite green curry on the island! Justin U. loves this place and I was skeptical at first.... I LOVE Thai food and it is the favorite of my foods to eat out. (I have NEVER successfully made Thai food on my own!) ... But I am kind of picky. Luckily, this soon became our favorite spot! The helpings are big enough that I always have left overs for work the next day and every dish we have tried has been flavorful and decadent! They also have a good section of wine and beer. I would recommend: - Fried calamari.... Surprisingly good! - Drunken Noodles with shrimp.... Spicy but well worth your mouth being on fire. The wide, flat and doughy noodles make this dish awesome! - Green curry with tofu.... It's packed with veggies and is the perfect creamy consistency! Remember your side of rice I have to say though that the service makes this place lose a star. It is inconsistent at best.... Sometimes you get a great waitress and then sometimes you have to wait ten minutes for your empty water to be re-filled! The most important ingredient is great food though.... And Siam garden has it!

I tried this place after a co-workers recommendation. The food was good BUT the service is TERRIBLE! Our food seemed to have come out much later than those that ordered after us. We had ordered beef ong Choy and a seafood ong Choy came out. No big deal but we asked our waitress if this was someone else's order and she said "no but isn't it good?" Not making a big deal we decided to eat the dish anyways and not make a big fuss. Then as we were wrapping up our meal, our waitress in yellow disappeared for quite some time and finally another waitress came by to ask how's it going? Obviously we were done but everyone that we tried to flag down decided to not make any eye contact and walk pass us. I have never treated this poorly by an entire establishment. I would assume they would want to get us out the door and paid as a line started to form at the door. There are way better choices in Honolulu for Thai food with friendlier service. NEVER AGAIN!!

We come here quite a bit and I think we are going to stop. This place is very inconsistent. The summer rolls are hit or miss. The yellow curry is different every time we come. They don't seem to understand that you can have vegetarian with out tofu. The stuffed chicken wings were good the few times we got them. The Thai iced tea is good. Atmosphere is expected. Customer service is standard. Just not worth the price and varying taste and quality... You will be missed. Time for a new Thai restaurant. (Phone review)

I've been craving coconut soup so ordered take out and got the chicken larb, seafood tom kha gai, and brown rice. It was my first time there. Super cute restaurant. Nice but casual. It would be a good place for a date night. My order was ready after 10 minutes and the little service I required was quick and friendly. The tom kha was delicious, full of seafood, and big pieces of shrimp. I just wish they would strain out the inedible pieces of lemongrass and Galangal. The larb was ok, but it was a little bland. The piece of raw cabbage that was included was the bottom core with hardly any leaves attached and it was black on the bottom, a little gross. I guess I'll get the tom ka here but the larb at Bangkok Chef.

My wife and I favorite place for Thai food in Hawaii. Every dish is just about perfect and the staff are super friendly. My go to comfort food is the chicken satay with the onolicious peanut sauce and the pad thai noodles. Wife and I usually get tons of items and share and then pack up the leftovers to take home and eat for the next couple of days. Great restaurant!

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurant in Honolulu. The food is great. Service is is fast and just a wonderful place to have dinner. The Eggplant salad is wonderful and had the stuffed chicken wings...simply delicious. Also had the Pad Thai and spring rolls. The price is just right. ..all this food and it came up less than $40. They give so much food that we had enough for another person.

This is one of my top places to dine at for Thai food in Hawaii. They have great food and service. I don't recommend you go in large groups because we had to wait a long time before getting seated and we were separated. They are perfect for small groups, families and couples. It's very easy to find this restaurant off of Nimitz and they have parking right in front of the restaurant or inside the private garage. Our favorites here are Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp, Beef Salad, Spring Rolls, any Curry with Sticky Rice, Pad Thai and Pad See Eiw. Mink is from Thailand and she gives them 6 out of 10 for similar taste to food from all over Thailand. It did exceed her expectation for Thai food in Hawaii.

Siam Garden Cafe has been on my bookmarks for months so I was incredibly excited to try this place! I came with a group of five...our menu selection ended up being appetizer-heavy but worked out just fine! We were all full by the end and were overall quite impressed with the food. Papaya Salad: Though not outstanding per se, it had a lot of flavor and was a refreshing start to the meal. Nice to share with a group but don't think I would get this if I came with a smaller party. Tom Yum Soup: If you like your tom yum with bold lemon tones, then you will love the tom yum here! This was very tasty but if you like your tom yum more on the pungent side (strong on the fish sauce), then you might prefer tom yum's from other places. Fried Chicken: Other Yelpers rave about this and now I know why! The chicken was ridiculously crispy and seasoned just right. One of the highlights of the meal for sure. Green Curry with Chicken: Green curry is the hottest curry of all curries so we asked for ours to be mild because someone in the group can't handle spicy food. This was delicious but after a few bites, the heat was on! Perhaps there was a miscommunication in the kitchen but if that was mild, I don't know if I want to know what medium and hot taste like xD. Sticky Rice: This was warm and soft and was oh so good with the curry! I have had sticky rice that's sometimes hard at other Thai places so I was very happy with the sticky rice here. Pad Thai with Pork: Best pad thai I have ever had!!! The flavor was spot on and the noodles had that pleasing chewiness to it. This was so good I could have had an entire order of this myself! The only thing is, I would not recommend getting it with pork, as the pork we had was overcooked. Tofu or chicken would have probably been a better bet. All in all, Siam Garden Cafe made a great first impression. Not only was the food fantastic, but it came out quickly and portions were great for the price. I can't wait to come back for more!

I've been visiting Oahu a few times each year for the past eight years, and just discovered Siam Garden Cafe. Quite possibly the best Thai/Laotian food I've experienced outside of Thailand, and surely one of the best meals I've had in Oahu.

This place is awesome. I have eaten here many times and the food and service have both been consistently great for the quite reasonable price. It is a little out of the way but if you are going to see a movie at the Dole Cannery Theatre, it is the perfect dinner spot. Definitely worth the time to find this little hidden gem, since there is a dearth of other dining choices in the area. This is in my top three favorite Thai restaurants along with Chiang Mai and Thai Issan. They are all a little different so I would not say one is the best.

I came here for the second time a few days ago, and it was just as great as I had remembered. Had their Massaman curry w pork, and their chicken Pad Thai. I asked our server not to make it crazy spicy, somewhere between not spicy and medium spicy, and they did an awesome job adjusting the spiciness to may vague request. I remember ordering some kind of fish last time and that being good too. Between all that and the free parking, I would definitely recommend!

I rarely give out 5 stars but at the moment I'm the Duke for a reason. Oh man this place is slap yo momma good and this is coming from a southern boy raised on grits and gravy in the south! Total opposite of whats served here but after two trips to Thailand I've been hooked to Thai Cuisine. Get the yellow or green curry if you're into the stuff! So Ono and simply amazing. I also like to start with the Sateh Chicken as a appetizer

  • Ashley M.

They had really good food to share family style or just eat your own. I got the Yellow Chicken Curry (medium) and it was amazing!! Not as spicy as I thought but, definitely filling. I also tried the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken pad Thai all awesome choices!! :) Reason they didn't get all 5 stars was because of the servers. We ran out of water, had to wait like 5 years to flag someone down because they were all in the back talking, but food came out fast and they were friendly so not bad!!

This is my new favorite Thai restaurant! I just found out about it a couple of months ago and have been ordering take out at least once if not twice a month! Curries are very tasty -- Yellow Curry, Massaman, Siam Jungle Curry -- are the ones I normally order. I was pleasantly surprised by the Floating Market Noodles -- a rich, flavorful broth. The Pad Thai and fish patties were also good. The only dishes I did not care for were the deep fried calamari (I didn't like the batter) and fried chicken (not much meat on the bone). I also like ordering take out from here because the wait is not long -- my order is ready in 15 minutes!

Although this has been my fav place for a while, things have changed. The service is not that great, the staff are not too personable. We ordered Paneng and it was never brought to our table. Asked for crushed peanuts and none. This has been noticed in the last couple of visits. We asked for the food ordered to be mild and it was quite hot when delivered. I hope the service improves, because there is another Thai restaurant on every other block and one right down the street with just as good food and much newer and cleaner.

Yes I'm a fan because the food items we ordered were really good. There were 6 of us and we all got different items to share. I got their specialty Red Curry with Chicken and Spicy! Delicious. We brought our own wine bottle too. I would recommend this place for great Thai dishes and sticky rice :)

I had Drunken Noodles w/ chicken for take out last night. I love Thai food and I was not disappointed. Atmosphere in restaurant is nice, the staff is very friendly. Back tonight for another meal. For a relatively inexpensive meal in downtown Waikiki, definitely worth a try.

Came here for the first time today the food was OK nothing special, the Siam on Lewers was much tastier. My biggest disappointment was being charged $2 for a pinch of cilantro, $2 for a pinch of nuts, & $3 for extra limes. When asking for extras they should let you know in advanced that these items would cost extra. Also we ordered the food medium spicy and it felt extra spicy where you can't even taste what you're eating. At the end the lady couldn't wait till we paid it was a bit annoying especially when you're trying to relax a bit and chit chat with friends after a meal and she's constantly coming around to clear the table and check on the bill. Won't be coming back for sure hope they enjoyed their $7 worth of spices, they lost 4 customers for it.

Amazing & authentic Thai food! This isn't your typical Thai BBQ spot. Parking is easy. No wait to be seated. Restaurant is clean, cute, & cozy. Service is good too. -thai ice tea: yummy! Definitely not the kind from a can! Legit. -pork sautee: the glaze on top of it was amazing! And the peanut sauce it came with made it too die for! This is a must order! -chicken curry: had so much flavor! I ordered it mild & i was still sweating when i ate it lol. It came with a lot of chicken & the curry on top of rice was just so bomb! -steam chili lime fish filet: this is the most delicious fish i have ever eaten in my life! The fish was so soft that it tasted like crab meat! The flavors are just out of control. I can eat this dish all day! The chili, lime, & fish sauce combo was everything! Definitely coming here for now on for all my Thai food cravings! The best!

Food is good. I love the tomyum most of all. Sometimes they take a while to take the order but the food is no problem. What I don't care for is the assumed gratuity. I normally tip very well as I work for tips as well. But when I am relieved of my decision of tip amount then I certainly won't be adding more. All in all its a good place for Thai food and we will likely be back. I highly suggest changing the gratuity situation though. Good service will gain good tips. When you assume you give customers reason to doubt and ponder why tips may not have been good in the past

Horrible Service: Asked for a booster seat and was given a dirty one, as I proceeded to wipe it down with a baby wipe the server saw and didn't even offer to help or do it for me. They were more interested in talking to each other and restocking/setting up than serving us. It took them about 20 mins to take our order. When my husband asked what beers they had she barely gave him one option. The calamari was chewy and fishy. The Chicken and Steak Pad Thai had more tofu than actual meat. Generous Portions but lacking in seasoning. We had a tough time finding parking as well. Highly disappointed. We wont be back.

Excellent Thai food. After trying dozens of Thai places here, Siam Garden is among my top 3 for Thai. The flavors are pretty explosive and the service isn't bad either! We had: Curry crab - My favorite of the night, it's mashed up crab meat in curry sauce with extremely assertive flavors. Great with the sticky rice! Five spice pork - A whole fried pork knuckle. The fatty parts are the best. Fish fillet with lime and garlic - Tender fish fillet pieces. Pad kee mao with beef - Really good and the beef is tender (though not spongey like in Chinese restaurants) Isaan sausage - Interesting addition to the menu, it's sausage but with Thai nuanced Thai flavors. Fried chicken - Delicious appetizer and spot on with the chili sauce. Spring rolls - You can never go wrong with spring rolls my friends. The restaurant has the regular stuff, but I'd recommend going out of your comfort zone and trying their specialties! You might be pleasantly surprised.

バスでも来れる方法がわかったのでビールを飲んでも安心~ This restaurant that comes without fail whenever coming to Hawaii. The number of guests has increased every year. Yelp is feeling to which the person in the main land also has come a lot because it becomes a hit at once. The Japanese is still few. It came to a store by the rent-a-car this time. Because it cannot eat the amount because it came alone Thai Noodle Soup and [yamuunsen] of the highest praise of the family were ordered. It is without a remark order this time though it always asks for "Thailand and hot" (It is painful for the tongue to become numb). After all, it is painful. Will be it next year next time? Even if the beer is drunk, it is safe because the method of which the bus was able to come was understood.

I having been craving Thai food for awhile now! I was near here and figured why not. Maybe its because I was craving Thai food but the food was pretty darn good. Not the best but nothing I ate was bad. Food: I got the drunken noodles, spring rolls, and satay chicken. All were tasty but I didn't particularly love the satay chicken but it was good. Plus, the entrees are pretty big portions. The appetizers weren't a lot considering the prices. Rice is a side order thing too (not included with the entrees). Prices: I went with my whole family and we ended up getting 4 entrees & 2 appetizers (spring rolls and satay). Altogether the total was $65. The appetizers were pretty pricey $7.99-12. While the entrees were anywhere from $9.99-15. Parking: The parking in front of the restaurant is really tight but there is more parking within the structure behind. Parking is free (:

Hidden. A sleeping jewel of Thai delight. So easy to get to. So easy to park my vehicular device. My mandible salivates just thinking about it. Their kitchen runs towards tasty and doesn't look back. So hold hands, make friends, and delve your tongue into sticky sweet hard hot mess that is Siam Garden food. Thanks to Michael R, I about plunged headfirst into my first bowl of Tom Kha. This is not your average Tom Kha, which is like that most delectable of soups, Tom Yum, but with the ADDED BONUS of coconut milk! Swipes! Of my credit card! Are going to be paying the Tom Kha delicioso forward until my mouth tires of feeling like Heaven in the Mouth has Arrived with every bite. The prices: 10-13 dollars for a delicious dish! In a beautifully sit-down restaurant with a very Thai sense of place. With plentiful parking. In town. And open til 10! This will be one of my outstanding Thai go-tos. Go, you!

I have a love/dislike relationship with Siam Garden. They have the best Panang Curry and sticky rice! The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. My sticking point is the service. I'm not the type of person to leave an unfavorable review based on isolated incidents. Their track record for prompt service is very poor over many visits. You might think about bringing your own water bottle because you will be lucky to get a drink refill. I have almost always had to ask for the check after waiting for 10 mins. Just today, we sat for 15 mins without even a drink order. It appears that they are understaffed. Strangely enough, we won't stop coming because the food is so good...5 stars for food, 1 star for service.

Best Thai restaurant based on close driving distance to my home and the good food (of course). 1st visit: My fellow fellow and I took our favorite two supervisors out for lunch on my last day of fellowship. Though the online menu doesn't seem obviously vegetarian-friendly (for example, listing "tofu" as an option in addition to the meat and seafood), my phone call to the restaurant confirmed the vegetarian-friendliness. The four of us shared vegetarian dishes family-style - so good! We split drunken noodle, massaman curry, peanut sauce curry, and spring rolls. 2nd visit: I love Siam Garden Cafe so much that I suggested that my friends and I check out this place for dinner before the film at the nearby HIFF at Regal Dole Cannery move theater. The restaurant was hopping on a relatively late Friday evening; we arrived at 7:30 PM and had to get on a wait list. Had no idea the place was so popular. Boyfriend and I shared the drunken noodle with tofu and the tofu veggie fried rice. So good! How to find it: Same complex as Sensually Yours ;o) [Review #6 for 31 Yelps Review Challenge]

This is my go-to spot for lunch during the work week. It's close to my job and their food is great. Their parking can be a hit or miss. Most of the time, you will be able to find parking but some days, it is super crowded. There's been times where we couldn't find parking so we ended up eating elsewhere. Anyways, as for the food, we always order the chicken pad thai and the jungle curry. Be sure to order your pad thai with light sauce if you don't want your noodles drenched in the sauce. The jungle curry is one of the best curries I've had. We decided to try something besides the normal green and yellow curry. The jungle curry has the perfect level of spice with an assortment of vegetables. The service isn't the best. We seem to get better service on slower days. Otherwise, it takes awhile to get someone's attention to get the check.

Words can't express how much I love this place. hands down some of the best Thai food to ever tantalize my taste buds. They have items on their menu I've never seen before like Sour sausage and rice salad, now one of my favorites. we like to try something new every time and haven't been disappointed yet! I'm sitting outside right now drooling waiting for my to go order. I wish there was a 6th star for places like this.

Service sucked! The only reason we even got reasonable service is cause we're bitches and would flag the F down of the lady for water or whatever else we wanted! Extra half a star for the fact that she tried to be apologetic at the fact that we HAD to wave her ass down. Food tho, BOMB!. Only had the papaya salad, fish cakes, rad na, and pad si ew (however u spell it) but it was all good. Only complain would have to be that they let the pad si ew cook too long and the only reason i know that is cause the egg in it was crispy and i KNOW it shouldn't have been. Taste on point tho. Atmosphere on point too! Their decor is totally traditional! Nothing like I've seen anywhere else. I'd go there again but bring my own extra napkins, drinks, and chop sticks!

I must say the curry dishes are delicious. Yummy to the tummy. No need for stuffed chicken or stir fry. Probably would have given a higher rating if the service didn't suck so BADLY. Terrible service.

Food tastes good - one of the best Thai places in town - but waitresses are kind of irritating. They closes at 10pm but haven't updated their hours on Yelp.

went there today for the first time and i was not disappointed.

Kenny F. and I returned to Siam Garden Cafe for take out yesterday.

I'm not a huge fan of Thai Food, but know good Thai when I taste it. This is my go to Thai restaurant. It is definitely better than your typical neighborhood Thai place and they are open really late, which is great.

Go find them and see for what they look like.

when you make reservation for certain time, it means nothing. They gave your seats away anyway, you still have to wait almost an hour for someone to leave. However, foods are excellent.
