Great little place to catch Sunday games. Kind of tucked off the beaten path...the atmosphere was great and enticing. The bartenders are from all over and the guys are fun. The waitresses are fun as well.

Excellent service, awesome drinks, great bar food (can I emphasize BAR food), tons of flat screens, comfy seats! Great live music too! What more could you ask for? It's not Vegas, but it's as close as anyone is going to get if they can't the leave the island for a while. Craving the huge slices of new york style pizza and anxiously waiting for the NFL season to start already!!!

The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the quality is up to par. The Nacho plate and Pizza's are huge. Wait staff is attentive, karaoke on Wednesdays at 10 and the live entertainment on the weekends is great. Go to rivals, keep your wallet, stomach and glass full!

Divey sports bar with great happy hour beer prices. Definitely $4 for a micro brew is a steal around here; alot of tvs too to watch the Olympics. Basically any sport you could possibly imagine. Happy Hour all day Tuesday too. We wanted to come here to check out the pizza but when we got here we saw it was $35-$40 for a pie (NO WAY!! eeeek). So basically grabbed some beers and headed over to grab some nachos at Cha Cha Cha right around the corner on Seaside ave (our dinner total there was $30 for tacos two beers and a HUGE plate of nachos...no joke). Note to Rivals....lower your pizza prices and you will surely get more food business.

Very relaxing and reasonably priced for a bar in a hotel in Waikiki! Surprised to find food half priced on Monday. Bartender Andrew is really friendly and attentive. Fun crowd of regulars

easily, easily the best spot in town to watch a game. seating right in front of huge tvs and great speakers to hear the broadcast as well no matter how many people are in there. go to the back for the best seats/privacy

Watched the NBA finals here with a friend. First off, the bar has two separate spaces to chill. You can chill at the bar or any of the tables or couches in front of the bar or go down into the "den" area where they have nice black tables with leather seats and plenty of TV''s to make your head spin! There is a menu with plenty of options as well so this place is a perfect spot if you want to check out a major sports event. You can check out the separate restaurant area if you want more of a true dine in experience as well. Overall great experience and if you get the nachos, watch out, it is a ginormous amount of food!!

First of all, as an employee, manager or owner of a business establishment, you never reply to a review in an open forum where everyone can see it! Do you realize how immature and unprofessional that is! In case Mike K. decides to delete his comment here it is: Comment from Mike K. of Rivals 10/13/2011 This guy tried to hit on our GM and got denied. Mahalo for the angry comments. Mike, I have no idea who you are but you made yourself look like an ass. I think I will find your manager or supervisor and show him this comment! Unacceptable! My review was honest. I did look forward to visiting this place but left disappointed. I don't want to watch employees try and figure out how to set up the TVs for 15-20 minutes during an NFL game. I planned to give this place another try. I still may, but if you are working here I am sure I will take my business elsewhere. This place is nice, as stated in my initial review, but the employees that worked that morning were slow, confused and the manager that had worked that morning was overwhelmed and pretty much had a negative attitude. I still may revisit this place, but I sure hope Mike K. is no longer employed there. BTW, most of my reviews are positive and it really takes a lot for me to write a one or two star review. I hope that who ever is the manager/owner takes steps to remedy this type of behavior toward patrons. If you don't like to read a negative review, stay off this forum. Otherwise, take not and make corrections or adjustments. To me, it seems like the major change that needs to be made are certainly Mike K. He does not belong in the service industry! Mahalo for your reply! Oh, he also replied to daniel k. review and posted this comment to his review: Comment from Mike K. of Rivals 10/13/2011 Have you ever been too Vegas outside the Cal??? As in suggesting that people from Hawaii only go to the California Hotel and never bother exploring the rest of the city! How pathetic!

I come here usually on my breaks and have gotten to know the bartenders RJ, Eric, Chris, hope I got the names right. Super cool group of bartenders, nice and super clean bar with tons of TV's, all the sports events, great food, even better selection of wine, beer, liquor especially for a sports bar. Would definitely recommend not to mention they have a great happy hour!

Great, clean and small sports bar. There were plenty of HD TV's to watch last weekends play off games. The seating was extremly comfortable, the food was OK, but the a little pricey for a 19" cheese pizza $30 plus. Wish I had a place like this back home.

This is one of those hidden places that you wish you had in your neighborhood. Located in the Outrigger Ohana hotel on Kuhio avenue which to me would be considered the lobby bar. The atmosphere is upscale with a sports lounge feel. Although its says its one of few Soccer Bars, I noticed that there is alot of sports items which are non-socceer. The sports items are for sale, as the sign states but im not sure as to the price. Upon walking inside, you will be greeted with a large full service bar. As you keep walking in, you will notice the trendy lights and style of the decor. It may seem like a small bar but there is also an outside courtyard where you are allowed to smoke as well as drink. If you think Bar 35 with a upscale feel. Drinks are similar to something you would find at Indigos or ThirtyNine Hotel. Prices are not that bad considering you are in Waikiki, but it's not as expensive as Lobby bars like Modern. Parking is easy and cheap. For $2 with a minimum purchase you can park for 6 hours. That is relatively cheap considering you could expect to pay $10 for the open lot behind Genius Lounge. I did see a menu for food, but havent had the chance to try it yet. I think on my next stay-cation, I will try out the food. I must admit tho, on my recent visit, the bartender did kind of give us attitude. Im not sure if he was having a bad day but he didn't even smile or have the personable attitude I would have expected......but everyone has there off days so I wont hold it against him. Go check this place out.

There was more cheese on my d@$k than there was on my quesadilla. That's probably why yelp or their official website doesn't have a menu!

Its pretty small. Just a little bar area and then downstairs is a stage. Cool to watch live bands, but theres no room for an audience! Bummer! Staff was super cool

I moved to Hawaii a couple of months ago and I live in Waikiki. In search of a bar that shows UFC events, I happened upon this great place. Luckily for me, this place is literally steps away from my condominium. A couple of friends and I had been previously watching UFC fights at a major chain bar/restaurant, which charged a $10 cover for the fights. When I found out that Rival's showed UFC fights for only $5 I immediately knew this was my new go-to place for the fights. So far, my friends and I have watched 4 major fights here. We usually get here pretty early to stake out a good seat (they don't take reservations; it's first come first served with regards to seating). The layout of this place is very unique -- it's cozy but EXTREMELY comfortable. The "upper" seating area includes the drink bar with several tables and a long additional bar-style setup that overlooks the "lower" seating area. The walls are adorned with various sports memorabilia (autographed photographs, jerseys, etc.). The atmosphere is very classy and chic, but not at all pretentious; it successfully encompasses both a very posh yet comfortable atmosphere. I really like it. During fights, my friends and I would always get the best seats in the house (IMHO), which is in the lower seating area, and are the most comfortable seats (they are almost like leather recliners), with our own personal flat-screen hi-def TV right in front of us. On that note, there really isn't a bad seat in the house! All of the chairs are extremely comfortable and there are televisions EVERYWHERE. Eric is usually our server, and he is top-notch. He is friendly, personable, and ensures that our drinks glasses are always full. I checked out their Facebook page after having such positive experiences with the UFC fights to find out what other events/specials they feature. To my delight, I discovered the 50/50 Club. 50/50 members receive 50% of ALL DRINKS (yes, anything behind the bar!) on Thursdays from 9pm-close, as well as occasional Sunday nights. I think I only paid $1 to "join" the club. I was issued a nice 50/50 member card with my picture on it. Very cool! They have a great happy hour from 3-7 every day. At night, Rivals switches gears, transforming from a sports lounge into a chic but relaxed club-like atmosphere. When I go in the evenings, I usually sit at the bar. All the bartenders that I've met have been great. The bar setup is VERY impressive. They have quite the selection of liquors, ranging from basic wells to extremely rare and high-end varieties. They really have so many! You really just have to go and see it with your own eyes to understand how impressive the massive selection is. Apparently, they have the largest selection of whiskey/Scotch/Bourbon in the entire state of Hawaii! Most of the prices are very reasonable for the quality, especially considering the Waikiki location. You can get some great higher-end options here at Rivals for the same price (or even less) than the cheap stuff at other bars in the area. The entertainment at night is fabulous as well. They almost always have live music every night, starting around 9-10pm, and every band that I have heard thus far have been AWESOME! I am originally from Nashville, TN, so I can be a bit of a critic when it comes to musical talent (I am a musician myself, although I've never performed at a bar). Every band I've had the pleasure of hearing here have been top-notch. They also sometimes have a DJ late-night who spins some great tunes as well. The "lower level" seating area to which I was referred earlier in the review actually turns into a dance floor late night. I've had the pleasure to meet both the owner and the manager while there (at least one of them is usually around at all times), and they are both great people - very friendly, professional, and determined to ensure that the customers are happy. I was impressed at how they jump in to help out their staff when it gets busy. That alone earned a great deal of respect from me! Rival's just celebrated it's one-year anniversary recently, and I am happy to see this locally-owned establishment is thriving in the competitive Waikiki market. I am excited that the NFL season has started, and I look forward to watching many games here on the weekends as well as taking advantage of my 50/50 Club benefits on Thursdays. :) Whether you live on-island or you're visiting on vacation, definitely check out this great place. I'm sure you'll like it just as much as I do! Aloha!

This place is located on the ground floor of the Outrigger Malia hotel, right next to IHOP on the corner of Kuhio and Lewers. Rivals is a pretty cool and intimate sports bar that has a funky shape as it looks like it is under the ramp to the parking lot. They have lots of TVs and has some nice BOSTON CELTIC memorabilia that I wouldn't mind taking home. lol 1st hour is free and $1 per hour after which is a deal in Waikiki. Happy hour is not bad but I wouldn't want to pay regular price for their food. If you are not going to get a pizza and hot dogs (which has a different variety to choose from) which is a little on the high side in my opinion I would get something to eat before coming here. Nachos was served on a big platter but had to pay $4 extra for meat which we got chicken which might of been one of them frozen things from Costco that they diced up into small little cubes and the chips and salsa tasted like some thing from a can, not freshly made. Their wait help was really good as they checked on us but then again it wasn't that crowded. I heard it gets pretty busy when there is a sporting event so you should reserve a table so you can get a seat. Over all it's not my cup of tea.

Sports writer invited me and other friends and professionals to hang and watch football on thursday. There were quite a few people, service was great, a couple of sports mc's were running sports trivia contests and giveaways of game tickets and a trip to Maui for 2 (I didn't win...daaang!) Lol! Cool, fun, good drink prices but food choices needs to get better...gotta have wings & kalbi! Lol. Nice hideaway...

Was looking for a place in Waikiki where I could catch up on sports this past Saturday (NBA Eastern Conference Finals, tennis, hockey, and boxing were all going down) because there was so much going on. Read a few reviews and remembered Rivals on Kuhio so I figured I'd check it out. The ambiance of this place is nice, loved the black leather chairs, the booths, and the recessed den towards the back. They have a pretty good selection of drinks, and food (even though fries weren't on the menu which I thought a bar staple), and big screens EVERYWHERE! The sports memorabilia is very random: Celtics flags here, Yankees pics there, Titans autographs here, but I guess Hawaii likes to keep it neutral when it comes to teams. They had a tasty shot of the month for $4 which was a Surfer on Acid mixed with a Red Headed Slut, and their beer of the month was $5. My roommate and I ordered the tacos, which came with a good amount of chips and salsa and was pretty good for bar food. The waitress and bartenders were nice and attentive, and they honored the Foursquare special (15% off your bill), and I appreciate when businesses actually engage and honor social media discounts! We got there to catch the tail end of the Heat/Celtics game, and once the game was over, the place cleared out. They were setting up for a band later and had a dinner special which I thought was a bit over the top: pizza for $7/slice or $25-$30/pie. I'm an East Coaster, so there's NO WAY I'd pay that for a slice let alone a whole pie! But hey, Rivals is a sports bar and it does that soooooooo well! Good spot to catch a game in a posh environment with good specials. I have a feeling this place will be packed for the Olympics.

Place reminds me of an airport bar. Not necessarily a bad thing...its just a thing. Lots of sports pics on the walls and plenty of TV's for watching your games. Full bar and they have live music on weekends. Not a bad place food is alright. Not someplace I go regularly but I don't really have any problems with it.

I like the setup, it's easy to watch multiple games at the same time (gamblers dream). Full bar and some good food options. Bartender was very accommodating in getting the games we wanted onscreen.

WOW, being from Vegas this bar made me feel like I was on the strip the lighting, the drinks, the upscale environment is what makes this place 5 stars... It has one of or if not the best happy hours on the island.... And the sports memorabilia is awesome as well... This place is the it place for any sporting event whether it be football, basketball, UFC or even golf you have to be here

Wow! Great Venue. I was treated to a morning of Phenomenal Sports Viewing. The Bar itself is nestled in the heart of the Ohana Waikiki Malia Hotel, right next to IHop. What a suprise to see this little gem, it's intimate setting lends itself to a refined sports watching experience with 360 degree panoramic sports on Hi Def 46" (Approx) T.V.'s. The sound system is incredible and the lighting is unlike any other that I've seen in Honolulu. I was very impressed with both the servers and the actual patrons at the bar. Very friendly and very passionate about sports and cocktails. My server, who greeted me, both at the door and at my seat, recommended a Harvey Wallbanger...I was so shocked, to hear a recommendation like that I just decided to go with it. Not only a blast from the past, but OMG, a perfectly engineered elixir of Premium Vodka, Galliano and Orange Juice...Super Big Happy Face, Plus - My Steeler's were winning. The group of patrons sitting next to me were drinking Wasabi and Sriracha Bloody Marys and were super stoked as they were also enjoying some of Rivals Breakfast burritos (I found out they're only available on Sat. and Sun) Anywho, these guys are very new, very well put together and I wish them the best. I'll be back to watch some MMA and even some of the more esoteric sports like curling and rugby... 5 stars for being such a hidden gem in the middle of Waikiki!

Came here Friday night for the live band....The bar would be a great place to watch sports! We got there at 10p, and the live band that night was GREAT! They really were talented, but the lay out of the bar prevented anyone from dancing to their music. The band was located in a lower level, right in front of the steps. Maybe put the band in the corner away from the steps so that opens up a dancing floor and viewing area. Just a though! $3 Bud Lights that night! Not bad! Not crowded at all! :)

heard about this new sports bar and lounge on the radio. checked it out today for the big college games; especially the UH football season opener. when you walk in, you see college football championship banners of Florida, Alabama, Texas, and etc. the full bar its lit up with great track lighting. walk to the left and you see nothing but TVs and a plethora of sports memorabilia ranging from the Yankees, redsox, Celtics, Jordans Bulls, and the NFL. TV set up is great but what does fall in the low end is the space. there is a lower lounge area with more TVs and a keg set up for their draft specials, but it is a small establishment. the food here is not the greatest. there is a selection of pizzas and basic game day grinds cooked next door at ihop. parking is available through the hotel.. Rivals will take care of the first hour if you spend over $25. after that, it's $1 per hour. nothing beats the parking deal at Buffalo wild wings.. but for a place in Waikiki, it's a really good deal. down sides is the food selection and space. other than that.. another option for this upcoming football season.

The advertisements probably prompted higher expectations as this was an average bar at best. They claim it's a Las Vegas style sports bar, but anyone who has been to sports bars there, understand that there's very little similarities between the two. There are lots of sports memorabilia, but that hardly makes it the premier sports bar in Hawaii (as they advertise). The space is rather small and the layout doesn't allow you to watch the various games. Maybe toursits who want to catch a game will go there, but locals will not go out of there way to go into Waikiki when there's a lot of other alternatives. I guess if you like scotch bourbon (they have the largest selection on the island), then it may be worthwhile. Otherwise, there's more hype to this place than substance.

Great customer service story: I called Rivals to watch the fights that weekend (UFC 142) and was excited because they weren't charging a cover, but was told they weren't taking reservations. Since we had a party of roughly ten people we made reservations elsewhere assuming the bar would be very crowded and we'd be without a table. By chance, we went to Rivals on Friday night and through chatting with our waitress and bartender found out they actually were taking reservations for the fights and the person I spoke with was mistaken. The bartender took down my contact information and the next day the manager called me, apologized for the mix-up, and set a reservation for our large party. We were already very impressed with the friendliness and attention of the waitress and bartender, but the way everyone followed through to make one group of customers extremely happy just amazed me! On top of the drink selection, atmosphere, and parking ($2 in the hotel parking with validation), this kind of service really set this place apart for us!

Great Sports bar to watch all your favorite games. It may be small but they have nice flat screens, HD and great service. We tried to watch our local teams game at 3 other bars and neither had HD and both wanted to turn the TV to the local game even though it was a blackout! Scotty treated us really well for being out-of-towners and let us change all the tv's to what we wanted! Pizza was great, one slice is big enough! They have nightly drink specials too! It is a relatively new venue and has great sports memorabilia. Be sure to check it out while in Wikiki.

My friends and I came here on a weekday night, so it was hard to gauge what the scene is really like. When we were there only 5 other patrons were in the bar/restaurant. I thought the place looked really cool and they had TVs at every angle so anywhere you stood or sat would probably give you a solid viewing angle. The sports pictures on the wall were pretty awesome and I was even told that they sell them to those that were interested. The service was really good and the bartender was very attentive and nice. There weren't a lot of items on the menu and they seemed a bit high in price, but the drink selection was top notch. I ordered a burger and it was really good. I think we caught them on an off day because as nice as the place was inside, they brought them to us in styrofoam containers. The bartender apologized, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Anyways, it seemed like a great place to watch sports, even though it's tucked away and most people would just walk by it. All and all it was a really good experience and I'd head back or recommend it to others for sports watching and drinking.

Great sports themed bar. Food tasty and very good value. On the captain morgan and coke which were increasingly stronger based on a little tip to the staff. A good thing imo. Happy hour from 12-7pm. $3 rum/beer. 24hr food next door for when you stumble out after a good session. Friendly staff, had a drink shouted by one of the bar staff, i guess for our groups entertainment value AFL footy live feed on Foxsports was a key to going here. Many other large screen tvs to watch concurrently. Largest range of whisky an rum in Waikiki.

Came here for lunch with an Entertainment coupon. Paid $15 for $30 worth of food. It's a typical sports bar with a lot of flat screen tvs. The interior is nice and recently renovated but the space is actually kind of small. The "pit" area fits about 20 people but there aren't as many tvs to watch like when you sit on the upper level overlooking the pit. I liked that they had 312 beer from Chicago, and it was reasonable at $4 a bottle. For the food - kind of disapointing...it's pretty overpriced for the quality and amount you get **Be aware that the food menu posted on their website is not correct Supreme & Green Monster pizza $7 each - just okay, thin crust style. could've used more cheese and toppings if we're paying that much for a slice. Louisianna Hot Link Sausage w/chips $6 - it was ok but not worth the price. chips were good Quesadilla $10 - it was a whole $3 more to add meat so I stuck with cheese. The description was a monster tortilla but it really wasn't anything monster-like. There wasn't very much cheese in it, and the salsa was pretty bland. I understand that they're in Waikiki so it's usually overpriced, but the food wasn't anything special enough for me to want to come back. Our first server was kind of weird...wouldn't write any of our order down so he kept forgetting stuff. The second guy that took over was a little more personable but by then we were finished. It's a nice place and a good idea, there's just no wow factor that would make me want to come here again.

1st star: GREAT BARTENDERS! Very personable, funny, and just chill to hang and talk to. I usually only sit at the bar... but couple times where I wasn't at the bar I regretted it. Servers aren't that friendly... They must've lost their smiles because I never see them smile when I'm there. Its called CUSTOMER SERVICE girls... service! 2nd star: The atmosphere is beyond awesome. Blue lights, great music, great vibes. 3rd star: For all you sport fanatics... they play on the sporting games here from hockey to baseball to football to basketball to ufc. You can watch it all here! & they have great sports memorabilia to look at. 4th star: They have KARAOKE on some nights! Who doesn't love some karaoke?! 5th star: The jukebox is awesome! It usually has the most updated songs on it which I love. Be aware though, if theres a band playing they will pause the jukebox, not offer to refund the money, and play it when the band is done with there set. Its still awesome though! DEFINITELY my go to bar when I'm in Waikiki or just need a pick me up! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to just hang out. When you go to some bars its considered a "LOCAL" bar or a "TOURISTY" bar. This one has people from all over & thats why I love coming here. I meet different people from all over the world. LOVE IT!

Last month I went to Hawaii for vacation. Even while in the land of paradise, I was still in need of my Sunday NFL football fixing. :) So one of my main priorities prior to my trip to Honolulu was to find a nice sports bar to watch the games on Sunday. After doing my research, Rivals ( s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com… ) seemed to be the best spot for me to enjoy the games. Overall, I was happy with my choice. When you first walk in, you are immediately greeted at the full bar ( s3-media3.ak.yelpcdn.com… ) tinted in a blue lighting ( s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com… ) with 4 large TVs above. What I love about this place is that it has a nice upscale decor and clean feel to it, yet still maintains a great sports ambience. I do agree with some of the reviews written about Rivals. It does have a slight Vegas Sportsbook feel to it. I also like the sports memorabilia ( s3-media4.ak.yelpcdn.com… ) that can be found along the walls all over this place. Rivals isn't that large, but they have a nice cozy downstairs lounge area with comfy couches. Because of the time difference from California, I couldn't wake up early enough at 7am to watch the morning games. But I did catch the afternoon and night games. Bonus for being able to watch the Giants beat the Tigers in game 4 to clinch another World Series with a few other Giants fans. :) Summary (4 Stars): Upscale Sports Bar/Ultra Lounge with 14 HD TVs for your sports viewing pleasure.

They wouldn't honor the Entertainment Book Mobile 20% off or the 4 square 15% off during happy hour - read the coupons in the pictures - doesn't say anything about no good on happy hour special pupu's. Two stars because the Beer was Cold Beer. Its Giovani Pastrami they have a coupon on their web site and free pizza with a beer. Don't think I would buy that Yelp 20% off deal either. they wouldn't honor the 20% off on happy hour prices but, the coupon states anytime and the Yelp 40 for 50 include beers. So what is the problem? bet they close down pretty soon..

I had never even heard of this place until I heard about the fabulous Emi H. playing live music here. Then I just couldn't imagine where it could be. Next to IHOP on Kuhio? Ok... I didn't know anything was there except for the hotel lobby! Low and behold, yep, it's there. So upon hearing about Emi playing here I decided that it sounded like something that I'd really enjoy to do on a first Friday night. I mentioned it to Chris L., and he thought it was a brilliant idea, so we headed down and brought with Krystal L. with us. It took a couple tries to navigate the one-way streets in Waikiki to get to the parking garage entrance on Lewers, but we made it! The first thing we noticed as we were walking up to Rivals was all of the sports memorabilia on the walls. There were all sorts of autographed pictures, jerseys, and other items from athletes of all kinds from NFL players, pro golfers, and even Olympic athletes. And the walls inside the lounge were totally covered with these. Amazing stuff! After getting over the jaw dropping memorabilia collection I noticed how swanky the place is compared to your standard sports bars. I guess this is more of a "Sports Ultra Lounge" than a sports bar. The chairs we were sitting in were very comfy leather armchairs. Perfect for relaxing with a nice drink, and watching a game on one of their many flat screen TVs, or better let, listening to awesome live music! As Krystal L. described it "this is a total man cave!". There were a bunch of drink specials available, but after taking a look at the drink menu I noticed that they were serving up Hibiki, a Suntory whiskey from Japan. I haven't ever tried this before, so I decided to give it a shot. Awesome stuff. We didn't try any of the food here because we had just ate before arriving, but I took a look at the menu, and the prices seemed pretty appropriate for a Waikiki establishment (pricey). Maybe I'll give it a try next time. The service here was very friendly, but a little slow. Probably because there was only one waitress at the time. It wasn't all that busy in there, but I know that it can get pretty hectic when you don't have backup. All in all the service was good. I'll definitely be back here again. If you get the chance you should definitely check the place out. Especially on first Fridays when Emi H. is playing live! You won't regret it! ** 4 stars for the bar itself, and 5 stars for the awesome live music!!

The first thing I thought when I walked into Rivals was "Wow" this is a really clean upscale sports bar. The bar itself is not large, but does has nice comfortable seating and has wall to wall large flat screen TV's. They have a full bar and some pretty good beers on draft. Rivals is a good place to hang out and watch your favorite sports team. *Will be back for sure to enjoy this wonderful place*

$2.50 Budweiser all day, every day. Lots of TV's and appropriate placed seating area. Very good selection of local beers, friendly staff. Only problem was it took forever for our nachos to come. I don't think it is always so slow, the bartender was very apologetic and didn't charge us. I would like to check this place out during an event.

So after reading all of the reviews on this place, I wish I could say I really enjoyed my experience at Rivals...but I can't. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have had in a long time. On Monday night, (Memorial Day) my friends and I were celebrating our last night in Hawaii and were figured we'd grab a bite to eat after ther Floating Lantern Festival. The place looked inviting so we went inside. Our first round of drinks went very well and it was obvious that they had a great selection on tap as well as in bottles. We decided to order food...which is where the wheels fell off. We ordered a second round and were disappointed to find that out of the four varieties of beer we ordered, that had "just" run out of *more to come on this later* Food that was ordered came out and it was incorrect, my burger was cold and the wings that my friend ordered just never showed. When asked about the missing wings the bartender/waiter/genius advised they had run out of wings but had to pull some out of the freezer and were going to make them (granted this was about an hour in). The waiter said he would go back and get the wing in right away. We noticed the bartender would disappear for extended periods of time in a direction that was opposite of the kitchen. Turns out he had friends or family in the bar that he was hanging out with between doing his job. He return from the storeroom at one point with a 6 pack of beer that was one of the ones we ordered and proceeded to walk past our table and where his friends were. When he came back, three of the 6 beers missing, advised us he had "found" a few of the beers we had requested in the back if we wanted them. We asked him about the wings that still had not come out and he said he'd check. He return to tell us, the problem was that the chef had made the wrong kind and did we want them. At this point we were about ready to leave so we asked for our bill and told him to forget the wings. A few moments later he returned with the wings boxed to go and asked "did we still want them since they were already on her bill"? We replied and asked again that he bring our bills. At this point he proceeds to walk back to where his friends were sitting and leave the wings on their table which they then open up and attack. Once the bills came, we found items priced incorrectly and on the wrong tickets (if you order daily specials, make sure they are priced at the daily special rate). Needless to say my friends and I who are usually very good tippers left zeros on the tabs and one friend left a lovely note that ended in, "I hope your friends enjoyed the wings". Looking at the other comments for this place I'm hoping it was just a very off night and not they way they do business. Might be worth a shot, I mean it can't get any worse, they do have a great beer selection (when they are stocked or if you're a buddy apparently) and the atmosphere seems nice. That being said, this place won't be getting anymore of my money next time I'm in the area.

Great sports bar. Ben the bartender is a favorite for the local sportmen coming over from The Shack. Food is good if you like Pizza and Nachos, they should import some all you can eat pancakes from IHOP for Sunday morning crowds. Late night music and beer specials.

Definitely one of my favorite places to go in the Waikiki area. Daily specials combined with excellent staff is a for sure win. Always have the current games on and are happy to change the channel to your favorite team. Ben is an excellent bartender and always makes sure we are being taken care of. If you're hungry get the nachos (and if on a day during one of their daily specials it's half off!) and TRY to finish the plate. Combine that with a large selection of bottled beers and you're bound to have a great time!

I moved here from the mainland around 2 months ago and I was kind of worried about finding a legitimate sports bar to watch my San Diego Chargers and Padres disappoint me yet again. it wouldn't be a season without it. During my first week I met up with a friend at Rival's and my fears were immediately quelled when I walked in and saw a television screen at almost every view. Any wall space that lacks a T.V. is filled with amazing sports memorabilia from a signed Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson photo to an autographed Muhammad Ali picture from his infamous fight with Sonny Liston in 1965, which Erik, the bartender, told me is not for sale, but everything else has a price tag. I decided this was going to be my establishment for watching football games every Sunday. Since I've been going back I've been able to watch my Padres rise from a 7 game deficit to being within a game from first to back to being in a 6 game deficit. I expect nothing else. The live music is entertaining. T.J. and Company will rock your acoustic socks off sounding like a lovechild of Bradley and Eddie Vedder. Not to mention Delvin (DJ DSOL) provides a perfect mix of hits with music you've never heard of with video accompaniment. The bartenders are some of the best at what they do. From the hilarious and friendly Chris to the beautiful and bright Felicia, you are bound to feel like you're at your hold hometown, neighborhood sports bar. If you are enjoying music deep inside the establishment away from the bar you might be lucky enough to be served by the adorable Kylie. Their happy hour prices are definitely affordable for a Waikiki bar. $3.00 well drinks and beer that is $5.00 or less cannot be beat unless you're in a Tijuana sh!thole. The pizza and nachos are fairly priced and proportioned so you won't have to worry about going hungry. Since I've been going there I've been invited into their Fantasy Football league and they will soon know the wrath of the Jokeland Haters. If you're in Wakiki and want to stay away from the madness head into Rivals located in the Ohana Hotel.

When I visited Rivals this weekend, I wasn't expecting much. Sports bars are my least favorite kinds of bars. I just have the same basic expectations as I do any bar I visit, good service and drinks at the bare minimum. I mean, I'll go to the most divey bar if it's service and drinks are great. However, no part of Rivals impressed me. It looks nice when you get there, but the service was seriously lacking and because of that, drinks too long to make and the tables and bar were not regularly wiped down. Probably the worst part is how their stage is set up. It's like a cave of music under the bar. When a band plays, there is absolutely no way the entire back sections of the bar can carry a conversation. Because of that, we left and went onto a really divey bar that is definitely not the nicest and cleanest place, but I can actually talk to the people I came with.

I consider myself a connoisseur of the finer things in life, and Rivals didn't disappoint. From the beautiful bartenders to the pictures of sexy sportspeople, there is plenty for a gentleman such as myself to enjoy. Good music last night, although the Adam and Eve infomercial on TV was a bit much. Not so much the products themselves, but the fact there were two girls selling it. Ewwww. Anyways, I recommend Rivals to everyone. Two snaps up. The only thing that upset me was the jukebox, when I put my money in to request Raining Men and one of the beefcakes that work there skipped over it. I would've liked an apology and my money back or a backrub.

Best place to watch sports in Waikiki. Excellent high def TV s with over 18 and not the small ones. Sound system is super high end. A nice outdoor area with comfortable seating if you have your own group and want to watch a specific game. The staff is friendly and will put on any sporting event you want. Great grinds with huge portions. They have been open for several years now and have it really tweaked for watching sports. Large bottle beer selection and plenty hard liquor. Parking validated and you enter via the ramp on the backside off Lewers. They even have quality sports memorbilia for sale. Although i dont get by at night much kool local bands and a fun vibe. Safe place with good security so no problem for single women. They have no "Rival" in Waikiki. Fun for our many visitors. I highly recommend them to kamaina s n visitors alike.

We stopped in this bar/lounge a couple of times during our short time to Honolulu. We were staying in the hotel it's connected to: the Ohana Waikiki Malia. There is lots of great sports memorabilia and several TVs for watching live games, but food was average and service wasn't much better than that on any of our visits. We came in on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. Christopher was our server Tuesday night and even though our small tab of a few tacos and only a couple drinks probably wasn't the most important one of the night, it was no reason to forget about us after our food was brought out. We literally had to chase the server down to get our tab closed, and since it was our first night in town we really wanted to get out of there and explore. But that didn't give us reason to not return. We actually returned later that Tuesday and Evan gave us just decent service just before midnight. I came back for drinks, karaoke, and salt n peppa chicken wings ($0.75 special on Wednesday) the next two nights that we were at the hotel. Service was good inside (Kapena was serving wings with a smile) and there's also a window for pizza from the street if youre not quite ready to go back indoors (enjoy Hawaii!!) It was cool to have this bar hooked up to our hotel. We enjoyed coming in - but did find bars that had better service and food while on our vacation.

Rivals is my new favorite place to go on Mondays. 1/2 off food and $4 craft beers. The bartender is fast and funny. My roommie and I like to go and get the grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomato with tater tots and because it is half off, it's less than $5! AMAZING! They have a ton of televisions so whatever you want to watch, you can. They also have trivia on one of the tvs which is always fun.

We went to this sports bar on a whim on a Monday night. It wasn't super packed, which is expected on a work night. The atmosphere was extremely casual with televisions with sports and the walls lined with sports pictures and other memorabilia. We stayed for a bit and played some tuned on their techy jukebox. After a couple drinks we ordered the green pizza...I apologize I can't remember the exact name...but it was SO good. It came out and you could smell the garlic cooking in with the cheese. Needless to say, it was a perfect addition to our drinks.

Accidentally stumbled onto this place walking down the main road. It is a very casual and fun place. They have great local drafts on tap and the happy hour tacos were awesome ( 3 for $5). You can't match that anywhere in Waikiki. The bartender was awesome and stayed on top of everything. I will return for more

Located right across from the Courtyard Marriott this is a great wings and beer bar. When you enter to all the way in make a left and at the end you'll see booths and additional seating downstairs. Much roomier back there. They have an excellent selection of beer and whiskeys. Yes, a small wings and beer bar with an ex lent selection of whiskeys. I had a 22 year old Glenmorangie that was outstanding. Wings are very good especially buffalo style. They have a special of burger, beer and fries for $9.00. Burgers are awesome. Also, tacos with Kailua pork are the bomb. Keep in mind there is a basic menu of pizza, burgers, wings, tacos, nachos, onion rings and that's about it. Don't expect quiche. But what they do they do very very well. We will be back.

Came here for the World Cup championship game & made reservations. Was at first seated outside, but asked to sit inside which was no problem for them. There's so many TVs in the bar that it feels like each party has their own TV.. no obstructed views. Only tried the fries since we had a breakfast a little earlier and they were fine.. but a little disappointed that they don't have garlic fries.. didn't try the chili cheese fries although I would next time if my appetite permits. Great friendly service and nice ambiance for a sports bar. One more con, they don't have pitchers of beers. Would definitely return.

Watched the Superbowl here. We got seated outside the bar, comfortable couch seating with a 42inch tv. They have a promotions that day, UNLIMITED chicken wings and pizza which is not bad. Drinks is not too pricey either. Theres Parking but its a bit tricky, good luck.

We wanted a sports bar in downtown Waikiki that was close enough to walk and be able to watch the fights. This place, while small, definitely fit the bill. It's a 10 dollar entrance fee which is the norm to watch any PPV fight these days. The server was attentive in the beginning, because we got there early, and even when she was pretty busy with tables, she always smiled and got us what we needed in a reasonable amount of time. The food is nothing to brag about--it's a bar! I do like that they offer specials during the game and they really try their best and cater to the crowd. Half of the TVs were showing the fight while the other TVs were playing the NFL playoffs. I would come here again if there was an event in town I would like to see!

I hosted my alumni association's game watching party here. Our group was small, but I emailed with the owner about accommodating us. And he always emailed back in a timely manner. This place is great because there is plenty of seating and tons of TVs. My boyfriend remarked that they had a lot of hockey on, which he found surprising but loved! (He is from Buffalo.) The basketball game I watched was in the afternoon, so I can't speak on how busy it might get at night, but I really enjoyed having a lot of seating options. (I've gone to other sports bars that stick you in the same booth as people you don't know so that they can save on space. I mean I don't mind that, but sometimes you just don't feel like making small talk with strangers.) The food is standard bar fare. They had a decent selection of beers. I really like Deschuttes and they had the chainbreaker. Come here for the TVs and comfortable seating! In any case, the bartender was super attentive to our group. And he assured me that they don't have the OSU alumni association in there playing musical instruments...lol...see my giovanni pastrami tip! (no offense to you Buckeye fans). The only downfall is the key to the bathroom issue. This can be problematic when ingesting alcoholic beverages and having a small bladder! But the bartender was totally cool with me constantly asking for the key.

After being here for sporting events during the day and live music at night, I can confirm that this is a cool spot. Here are some details about my experience. Sports watching If you can't attend the sporting event live, you want to watch it on a nice TV right? There are some high quality flat screens here. Basketball, the Pacquiao-Bradley rematch fight, etc. all looked good on these TVs. They also have lots of beer choices including standard domestics, local craft beers and mainland craft beers. I was kicking it in shorts and a t-shirt drinking $5 bottles of Deschutes throughout the fight and enjoying every second of it. Look for the big chalk board beer list on your right when you walk into the joint. Boxing/UFC fans you should call 'em before you arrive for the fight. Sometimes they guarantee seats if you pay the cover over the phone. This can prove advantageous since the space isn't gigantic. Live music details When I saw the talented Emi Hart play here, she and her band mate John played in the lower level of the bar. While patrons interested in the band could sit in this comfortable listening area and enjoy the music, people also had the option of drifting over to the separate bar area if they needed a drink or wanted to have a conversation. Other good stuff to know While they have standard sports bar fare for food, I've only had the pizza. While the slices are big, the quality was OK but nothing special. You don't love beer? Don't fret there is no shortage of hard liquor. While this is a cleaner, more upscale looking sports bars, the cool, down to earth staff checked on us and our drinks regularly. The restrooms aren't right inside the bar but just outside of it and still close.

I've been here a few times now and wanted to wait to write a review because every time I've been here it\s been a different experience, both good and bad. Lets lay the facts down first. The inside is really nice - fully loaded bar right when you walk in with seats at the counter, along the walls and downstairs. Flat screen TVs everywhere. The sizes of the TVs differ too, so take a seat near the TV of your choice. The seats up stairs are all black leather booths and down stars are all black leather Vegas style like one man sofa chairs. There are autographed sports memorabilia all over the walls of the bar (they are all for sale too) which makes for a nice sports vibe. If the inside is full, they also have an area outside near the pool with two flat screens and lounge chairs and sofas. They have all the drinks that you can think of and a bar menu as well. The food is NOT their specialty -- you are forewarned!! The nachos are huge, but the toppings are skimpy. The pizzas are hard and the toppings are skimpy on this as well. I must say that the "Zukes" or the fried zucchini were not bad. The service is always a hit or miss. We've been served by some great servers before while some others wouldn't even come to our table. All in all, if you are looking for a CLEAN bar to watch a sports game -- come to Rivals. But make sure you eat before you go LOL!

Have you ever thought to your self: "Self, I wish I could build the best Man Cave ever to have my buddies over for beers and to watch the game." Well, Rivals is small, packed with floor to ceiling flat screens, a bunch of sports memorabilia and it Rivals any small sports bar out there. It truly makes you feel as if you are in your buddy's house - That is, If your buddy made it pro and spent a mill on his man-cave sports centre! The beer is cold, the game is loud, the fans are louder (especially those darn Cowboys fans!), the food is pub style and decent and the pizza rocks!! The pizza is by the slice, thin, folds over, has tons of cheese and the dough, oh my the dough, it is packed full of flavour! I had the Green Monster; fresh spinach, tomato, mushrooms and a ton of roasted garlic! Mmmm... I'm usually a "gimme meat on my 'Za" kinda girl, but this veggie combo had me saying In Rival's I Crust!

Just went in and informed the server that we had 12 people in attendance looking for a table. I was told to "find a spot". I then looked around and asked if it was up to is to boot the three people sitting independently (each by themselves at a table) in 6+ people seating? I was told very rudely. .. yup as he walked away. I will never visit there again and I live in waikiki. Tells ya something no??? Oh and BTW. This is my FIRST ever post. Felt it was necessary to share. Good luck.

Came back again. Umm the service wasn't as good this time. Guess it was the personnel. I ordered food--this time the soft tacos at $13. Overpriced for what I got: should have been closer to $7 in terms of value. The menu referred to shredded beef; instead, I got beef cubes. Instantly upon delivery, I was like wtf?! The toppings--cheese, salsa, and sour cream were in little containers where I had to pour on separately. Problem is that the server never gave me utensils. It got messy.... :( I had nachos on a prior visit and like the soft tacos... skimpy on the toppings... In my first review, I mentioned those chilled stones that they used for drinks on the rocks (to not water down the drink...). This time I got real ice. Where are my stones?! I was at the bar while he poured the ice and I asked where are the chilled stones.... "Oh, you want the stones?". not all bartenders are created equally.... On the plus side, Rivals has live band on Fridays. The band tonight was really good--I was losing myself in the music. They have drink specials, the decor is cool. But don't come here expecting satisfying food and service is hit or miss...

Had a blast watching football here during our 2 weeks in paradise! Miranda and the two sweet boys behind the bar take awesome care of their guests regardless of which area you are seated. It's really cool to see all of the different football fans too! Thanks Rivals!

If you want a chill bar, where sometimes a live band is playing, and friendly service. I highly recommend Rivals for all three. Every time I have found myself there, with several friends - we end up becoming friends with the waitress or bartender or just with people who go to the bar. Their food menu is delicious. Once had their colossal nachos with a girl friend, and it really was huge! Bigger than Jimmy Buffet's restaurant nachos. I love their fries, their perfect for me. I haven't tried everything on their menu but I'm sure it's all delicious.

My favorite place in Waikiki. Between the number of big screen TVs, the variety of beers and liquor and the great staff, this is a great place to hang out. Go in in the afternoons for a beer and a burger for 8$ and catch whatever your sport is playing on the mainland, or go in a night with a group of your buds or just flying solo to listen to any one of the local bands that plays most nights of the week, one of their in-house Video DJ's or even karaoke on Wednesday nights. With specials like all day happy hour on Thursday, 2$ taco Tuesday and half priced food on Monday nights, this is a great place to stop by, whether you're in town for a short while or a local, this is an awesome place to just hang out, any time the day or night!

My wife and I were out here and looking for somewhere to settle in and watch the Chargers game at, you know, 7a local time. (Side note - I don't know that I could ever adjust to watching football that early. However, I did love the excuse to drink beer that early!) :-) After asking the bellhops at the hotel for a recommendation they sent us here. Perfect! We loved this place! It's built like a basement. There's comfortable chairs. There's bar space. There's TVs. And there's a lot of noise between the TVs, fans and overall atmosphere. The beer selection is pretty good. Not fantastic, but very good. The servers are friendly, attentive, and helpful. As for the food, we were there for breakfast and it's basically keeping with the whole feel of the place - it's just food. The menu is very basic - burritos, scrambled eggs, etc. Oh, and tater tots! Gotta give love to any establishment that serves tater tots! You don't go here for the great food. You go here because it's an awesome neighborhood divey sports bar with a great feel. And to watch football and drink beer at 7 in the morning.

How this place has great reviews is beyond me. We went here to watch the UFC fight that was supposed to be on. When we arrived there were several TVs, but none of them were playing the fight. We ordered wings ($9) and a basket of fries. The waiter had an attitude with us from the get-go. When the wings came, there were only 6 wings...SIX! That's not enough to share, much less for one person, much less for $9! We asked about the fight, and the waiter mumbled something about how it would be on later. We knew the fights were on right then, and the place wasn't packed with people watching what was already on. If you're looking for a place with rude service, and expensive food, this is the place for you. All the other great reviews must be from tourists who don't know about better options. We left and went to another local place that was playing the fight and spent our money there!

Last Friday night Yeah, we danced on table tops And we took too many shots Think we kissed but I forgot... Oh wait, that wasn't my last Friday night since I ended up making my way to Rivals in Waikiki to enjoy friends and some awesome music. Like Jacob N. I had never heard of this place until hearing that Emi H. played live music there on that particular Friday night! Lo and behold, I found this pretty cool sports bar that serves up cold drinks, comfortable ambiance, and reasonable prices while enjoying the laid back non-tourist scene that Waikiki is notorious for. While it is tucked off Kuhio street, don't let its street fool you. It isn't in the strip of bars but it is still rather convenient and not a far stroll from the other spots if you want to have a night out on the town. Its non-descript exterior might fool you but you will be pleasantly surprised by the cool memorabilia and the plethora of tv's to entertain you. You are going to be hard pressed to find a game that isn't being watched. Drinks are decently poured and they have a pretty good selection of beers and libations as it suits you. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait and the night I went took a bit longer than I had hoped. All in all it was a comfortable bar to check out, prices reasonable, good selection, plethora of tv's that impress, and comfortable seats. When it comes to watching the game, do you need anything else?

Located on the ground floor of the Outrigger Malia hotel, it shares the same entrance way as the IHOP. By no means is Rivals a chic "Vegas" type lounge that they're claiming (come on owners that's a stretch, especially for those who have been to Vegas) BUT Rivals is a pretty darn cool and intimate sports bar. I went here this past Friday for pau hana and tho there was patrons there,it was not crowded, which was great. We could actually hold a conversation with our friends and have a comfy place to sit and the service was attentive. Seems there was going to be live music at 10p, then a cover was being charged but if you got not the guest list or got inside prior, then it's free. Its a newer establishment so the place is still well kept and clean. There's lots of TVs everywhere so everyone has a view of the game/fight. The happy hour drink specials are pretty good, but the food is just standard bar food fare. the best thing about this place? $2 validated parking for 8 hours! Woohoo! You have to enter the garage from Kalakaua to Lewers Street as the garage entrance is right on the corner of Lewers/Kuhio. I would have liked to have stayed to see the live music but had time constraints on me, so maybe next time, as I want to see where in the world the band fits and the sound/acoutics of the place. HOwever, this is a good place to get your night started. Pros: -Newer and modern decor -Lots of TVS -Easy reservations -Good/attentive service -Easy and generous validated parking -Casual atmosphere, not loud which is nice for conversating with friends -Easy to find/get to location -Drink specials and pau hana specials from $3 Cons: -Could get crowded as its pretty small -Food menu could use some improving, standard bar/fried food fare. Nothing spectacular, just enough to keep you from getting too drunk. -Gotta get a card key from the staff to use the hotel bathroom in the lobby, which is good at keeping random people from using it but its just humbug. At least it wasn't busy so our group of 7 just kept the key at our table the whole time so folks could go as they pleased....no pun intended.

Considering the fact that this is a sports bar, I never seem to come here to watch sports! I always find myself here after work on thursdays... Industry night! Can you say cheap drinks? SCORE!!! (I just couldn't help myself... =P) Ambiance of the place is nice. A really clean bar but a little bit on the smaller side. They seem to have live music almost every night, but I've noticed that wednesdays is karaoke night. Sing as much as your heart desires... As long as you're brave enough to have strangers listen to you.

One of those places that's so good that I don't want to even talk about it. Cocktails are the kind you would find at thirtyninehotel or Lewer's lounge. The atmosphere is a very upscale sort of sports viewing lounge. There is an adorable little smoking courtyard just outside that you can take your drinks and even watch another tv. Parking is easy and cheap. Breakfast is available. Not sure what more this place needs (definitely not a zillion people finding out the secret tho!)

I was invited to the Friends & Family event for the new Sports Bar in Waikiki. It is located in the Ohana Waikiki Malia Hotel on Kuhio avenue. It is literally right next to IHOP. As you enter the bar through the glass doors, you are facing the bar. The bar is about 10 seats long. The set up is nice and there are 4 flat screens for you to look at. If you want to sit at a cocktail table, you turn left and there are lounge type seats on the left. To the right, you go down a few steps and there are more tables and TV's. Altogether, I believe there were at least 11 TV's at the bar. The decor is dark, like any sports bar is. The TV's "pop out" of the darkness. The lighting is pretty awesome. It looks like they run off of a track lighting system. THey can change the ambiance of the bar with blues, purples, reds....even strobes for when that team scores a touchdown! They could actually turn the downstairs area into a dance floor, maybe for private parties or something like that. There is also an outside area of the bar. Im not really sure what theyre going to do with that area, but it is also a part of Rivals. It is located next to the hotel pool (pool closes at 6). While the location is lighted nicely at night, not sure what the bar will do with this area because you cant really "make noise". It is fronted by hotel rooms. As far as food, because it was a F&F event, they had food set out for everybody. They will have a menu with food items. It will have Sushi, Pizza, etc. Will be back to update once they have their grand opening! The bar has a wide selection of spirits. I also saw some higher end scotches and Tequila. They do not have any draft beer. All beer comes in bottles. Everything is decently priced also. Its not targeted for "tourists". I dont think they have planned for a happy hour yet. My recommendation: If you have a group of friends and you like that friendly sports "RIVALRY", you should definately check out RIVALS. Or for all you industry people that work in Waikiki, check it out after work! I will definately be back for a "drink or two".

I arrive around 11:30 local time, should be lunch, ya? Well, the kitchen is not quite reopened after breakfast yet. I give the bartender credit for letting me know. I ask how long, to which he answers 10-15 minutes, so I hesitate because he's not convincing, but the game I want to watch is on and I order a beer. First beer is down (way more than fifteen minutes, he asks if I want another and tells me the kitchen is open. I order a burger and another beer, he says it may take a while. I ask like 30-45 minutes, because I'd probably have left, "no, fifteen minutes or so". 40 minutes later the burger shows up. They have all the Sunday games on, but the bar requires the TVs are set up in a row, so unless you're right in front of your game, it's awkward. Next visit, I'll find another place to watch the game.

Have only been here a few times to watch some bands play but I think this place would be a good place to go to on Subday mornings to watch the games. Lots of Tvs. The only thing is, is this place is kind of small. Thursdays they have $2 Heineken and Heineken light

I have never come here for a sporting event, only for the music, and the occasional people watching adventure (i.e. Halloween). I rarely order from the cocktail waitresses. There are only a few that I like, but they seem to never be around, even when it is slow, and more than once, they have overcharged me. Granted, it is always an easy fix, and it's an honest mistake, but it gets old. So, I usually will order my drinks from the bartender, which is almost always Chris. He makes great drinks, and he's even charged my phone for me from time to time, really good guy. The music is always great, whether it's Analog, The White Jacket, or others, they seem to always pick great bands. It can get a little loud, but I've never been bothered by it. I've ordered the food from time to time, and I will say this: Don't order The Nachos unless you have like, 4 people with you. The plate takes us the whole table!! They are SUPER delicious, though (I love the homemade salsa) and during happy hour, they are incredibly reasonably priced. I also love their Taco Tuesday deals: Margaritas for $4, Tacos for $1 a piece, and The Nachos for like $6. So much better than some other Taco Tuesdays that I have been to. All in all, I recommend this spot, as they have a little something for everyone. It has a swanky look to it for those that want to dress up, it has the next door sports bar feel for those that want to catch a game (not to mention, a TON of TVs), and they even started doing karaoke a few days a week for those that are into that.

GREAT sports bar to watch a game at without feeling like a tourist. I was in Waikiki last week for vacation but wanted to catch my Niners tear up the Bears' butthole on Monday Night Football, so I came in here. There were some other Niners fans in the house so we all got to cheer together like a bunch of homos. No homo. The bartender Ben is awesome. Super chill bartender that pours a good drink. Exactly what I want on a vacation. He has some cool pics of some of the fish that he's caught around the islands. Anyways, hit this place up to watch your favorite team suck ass. They have a shitload of TVs and a menu for food. The dude next to me ordered nachos and holy shit were they huge. I'm from Southern California and I have seen some big ass nachos, but this was pretty unreasonable. There's absolutely no way anyone could finish a plate like that. It was probably the size of a large pizza box full of nachos. That guy probably had the biggest dump of his life after that.

I have been meaning to come in here to catch a game on a few occaisions. I really love how it carries this high-end sports pub look and feel. from the granite table tops, and comfy leather seating, it's obvious that they knew what sort of look they were going for. After taking a minute or two to peep the memorabilia collection that adorned the walls, I clued in really quick that someone dropped alot of $$$ on this spot. Watching the games on any number of flat TV's makes this a great place to catch a game. I found that the lower section makes it feel like you're post up in a VIP section for just you and your homies! Too bad the food is WHACK! Nachos tasted like Garbage and the toppings were skimpy! If I'm paying an extra $4 for kalua pork, I expect to see more that 5 shreds of meat across my platter. Pizza at $6-9/slice?? They must be smoking crack! I definitely plan to come back ONLY because as a sports watching venue, this place rocks! But, come full or plan to drink and then eat afterwards because their food is not worth it at all!

Awesome TV's and a great place to watch a game but the food sucks. The pizza slices are big and only $6, but they are slices that have been sitting around for a while. Really bland and under cooked. We had to ask for a hot slice because the first one was cold and old (don't send food back often). Waitress said a fresh pizza was coming out soon. The second one was old again, but a little warmer after waiting 15 mins. Chicken tacos were dry and very plain for $13. Best to eat before you go here!

This place is very unique. I was looking for a nearby place to chill at while my 1hr wait to have dinner at a nearby restaurant was began it's countdown. I remembered seeing this place and decided to go back. The 'UFC' sign on the door is what caught my attention. I was surprised at how quiet they were on an early (8:PM) Saturday night. It's actually a really cool spot. Strange layout. There was some great live music, comfortable seating and their decor was very different than other places. Loved their blue lighting! It reminded me of another sports bar, back home. I was shocked by how inexpensive there 20oz Blue Moon drinks were. Only $5 bucks! I "checked in" on foursquare for 15% off our bill too. I didn't spend a lot of time here so my review will reflect that. Seems like a great place to take friends since it's not so crowded. Good selection of drinks, beer and their food looked pretty good too. All that combined with their low pricing, I would highly recommend! Especially if you're more of a sports fanatic than I am.

I didn't expect the bar to actually be a nice sports bar. The atmosphere reminded me of a Vegas sports bar with all the autographed sports memorabilia. Then, there are TVs everywhere! This is great especially when watching sporting events. There's a view for everyone. I ordered a RedBull/Vodka and what I thought about my drink is that you get your money's worth because they put the right amount of vodka. I also ordered the steak quesadilla, I enjoyed the cheese they use and how they made the quesadilla. A personal tip would be to reserve a table/seats before heading down to Rivals because it get's packed really easily especially during sporting events.

I went to watch the FSU game last Saturday. They have a lot of TVs. But the rooms are so small. And the menu is limited as well. The pizza was just okay. I will come back just because they host the Honolulu Seminole Club.

Nice spot to watch a game. Less like a sports bar and more like a man cave. Comfortable seating, lots ov tvs and excellent service. I was there early so I only got to try the breakfast menu, but the meat lovers breakfast pizza was delicious. Would definitely go there again to watch a game while I'm in town.

Great spot for live music. No cover (cept for PPV fights) and great drink specials. Always good to come here.

This bar is great. I came with a small group of friends looking for a bar that wasnt too crowded on a Saturday. Our prayers were answered as we walked past Rivals! The decor on the walls are sports memorabilia and framed photos of all-star athletes. There are tables against the wall and a bar that goes from one side to the other. There are also steps leading down to more tables and comfy chairs. We got to see a local live band play as well! No cover charge, so take THAT, The Shack! Im glad they had a menu to see the different alcohols they had stocked...They also have special cocktails but I didnt order anything that I really enjoyed. The downside of the experience there was that after ordering two Jack N Cokes, they ran out of Jack Daniels. No Crown Royal either! Too bad. Also, when I first placed my drink order, I mentioned the Yelp deal to our waitress. She said she would us the offer when she brought the bill, but she didnt. I know, people make mistakes and tend to forget information. It just took about ten to fifteen minutes (and two other people) to figure out how to change the total and use the promotion. I barely ever go to Waikiki, but this was a really nice bar. I would probably come back.
