Was introduced to this place by one of the bartenders who my friend had met, and I gotta be honest and say I wouldn't have known this place existed if no one told me about it. HUSH bar is a hidden gem. The seating area is pretty spacious. They also have a vape bar where you can sample different flavors while you drink, and by the looks of it, they have choke flavors for you to sample. There is a karaoke room and a place to play darts as well. In contrast to the outside which looks a little sketchy, the inside is pretty clean and looks newly renovated. Everything is arranged nicely, and the vibe was pretty nice. My friend and I went here on a Tuesday night. If you work and receive tips, this night would be perfect for you because hard liquor is half off. We had Misty and Kristi(?) as our bartenders, and they were fun and friendly. I haven't tried their food because we only went in for a few drinks. I will return and sample a few items on their menu though. One bad thing I have seen about this place is parking. There is a tiny parking lot right outside with tandem parking. Other than that, there's quite a bit of street parking. Another minus was the kitchen. I glimpsed into the kitchen on my way to the bathroom, and it was pretty messy. The cook, Ramsy(?) was pretty nice and laid back though. When it was just me and my friend left in the bar, he came out and talked story with all of us till we left. This place is fairly new, so it was empty on our visit. So if you're not into being in a loud crowded bar or around vape, I would definitely recommend this place for you and a small group of friends to kick it. Also, if you work in the area, this place is perfect to get a drink or 2 to end your day or night. Great service, reasonably priced drinks, and a chill atmosphere.

Hush bar is a really great place to hang out with friends and have fun. They got great specials on their drinks everyday. The food there is awesome and great prices. The staff is very friendly and upbeat. They got two karaoke rooms you can reserve for a party or to hang out with friends in privacy. They also got two dart boards that makes the place even more great besides the great food, drinks, and staff. The atmosphere there is very positive with interesting artwork all over the walls as well as in the karaoke rooms. A great addition they have in the bar is their vaping section. They are called cloud50. They have many varieties of ejuices you could sample and buy. They also have different mods you can select from. What better idea than to drink, eat, and vape all at the same time? The staff working behind the vape bar is very knowledgable and can answer all your questions. They are very friendly and patient and will help you step by step whether your new to vaping or you just want to try some new ejuice. If you haven't checked this place out your missing out.

I love the food. I love the ambience. The vaporing is distracting if you don't smoke, but its a beautiful vapor bar. One of a kind. The Karaoke rooms are large and its a great starter bar. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 was because of the shoddy parking lot. Great area though. I love Kakaako. It reminds me of Brooklyn or Bed-Stuy

Tried this place because there was a Groupon: $40 for $80 worth of food and drinks. I thought it'd be good to try some place new. This is a vaping/alcohol bar, but the majority of patrons seems to favor the vaping section. Be warned, expect to enter to a huge vapor cloud because the vaping bar is right next to the entryway. On the plus side, at least you'd be inhaling sweet aromas instead of stinky cigarette smoke. To the back of the bar, you'll find some Karaoke rooms. We decided to occupy one of the rooms to have some privacy and to get away from the fog. Karaoke here is your typical ol' skool set up. $1 per song, echo-y microphones and corny music videos to go with the lyrics. The service was great. Our initial server was very attentive. We found out, through our conversation, that some of the guys were from Kanpai and also have some connections with Dash. Knowing this, I immediately thought the food would be good. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The food was mediocre. The chicken was too salty, the fries under fried and the pork chop was hard and dry. Just another average bar to me, but I'm sure it's a vaping paradise to others.

Hush is another awesome addition to the Kaka'ako neighborhood. I really like what they have done with this place. I enjoyed the food at Red Cafe, but it always seemed kind of gross in there. They have completely renovated the interior here, and the artwork is inspired. My only suggestion is that clear all that garbage out of the front lot. It probable deters business. The food is pretty good. I had the kim chee rice and garlic furikkake chicken. They were both excellent for being served at a bar. The drinks are not over priced, and they have a great selection of spirits. It is kind of awkward what with the vaporizer bar, but that stuff doesn't bother me. Also, while the bar does seem incredibly local, it is still safe for a big Haole like me.

We stumbled upon this place while grabbing a quick drink before we rushed off to a different event and couldn't wait to come back for the food. For all you vapor heads out there, it is a bar, restaurant and has a vapor bar to smoke at. The owner is super friendly and the staff too! Frank was the bartender and waiter for the entire place so the drinks took a little longer to get to us, but they were always delivered with a smile and oh so delicious. We later found out that someone had not shown up for their shift so that is why he was so short handed. HUSH had two kinds of nachos: Kalua Pork ($12) and Regular ($10). The regular nachos had bacon on them! BACON! YES! The kim chee fried rice was so delicious, and the garlic chicken too (a little salty for my taste, but flavorful). They also had some of those cream cheese crab wonton things. Nom nom nom nom nom. Parking is limited in the small lot out front.

This bar/lounge is very comfortable. Feels like sitting in your own living room. No need dress up. There is no attitude, just good people, good drinks and good food. The kimchee fried rice, smoke meat, Hush poke, chicken, were all good. If you're into vaping, its a great place to do it, and to get the stuff you need to do it. I don't do it, and those doing it didn't bother me. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable.

It's a home away from home . Laid back, nice staff with great service, good food, and they even have Hush specialty drinks. I like the Bloody Mary and the Hush Lemonade. What tops it off, is that they have a vape bar! For all of you who are into vaping, this is the place to be. I mean drinks, food, and a place to build your mods or try a wide variety of flavors? It's like heaven! Look up Cloud 50 if you would like more info on the vape bar. The bar itself has art decorated all around. The booths are comfy and there are a few flat screens when you want to watch sports. They do have a couple of dart boards if you want to throw darts. There are two karaoke rooms available for when you want to throw a party. The big room is sick! It has artwork done. It's very... Original. I know that parking seems to be the problem, but if you find that the lot is full, you can park next door at the auto body shop, or across the street at some basket place. I think it's called East Asian baskets. I like this place. It has an all around great vibe.

Hush bar and grill is the spot! Sometimes it can be hella busy, sometimes it's chill. Whatever it is, it's always a good crowd. This bar features a full bar, dart boards, two karaoke rooms, a vape bar (cloud50), and Ono food. First off the bar has the friendliest bartenders and waitresses. You got your normal average beers. I hear some new beers may be added for you craft drinkers. They also feature a great selection of hard liquor and craft cocktails. They have special nights such as bomb nights, whereas all bombs are $5. Some nights are 50% for customers who work for tips in the industry, being a waitress, bartender, servers, etc... As long as you work for tips. The bar has 4 huge TVs and awesome music. Up to date actually. Earlier in the day they play Hawaiian/reggae to set the mood. Sometimes when the fights or games are on the music is subtle for the sport fanatics. They will probably have special football nights I hear. Oh and don't forget Sundays now have live music and open mics, so anyone who can song can jump in with the band and jam! The dart boards are moved to the back of the bar near the karaoke rooms. There is also a little pax man machine near it. Once a month on Wednesdays, are dart tournaments. Nice payout and good times. The tournaments are usually doubles and single bar matches during off times. Last time my my team actually took home a good $70 each! Karaoke rooms are awesome as well. There is no fee for the rooms and both rooms have different sizes. One room can fit 4-6 people and the other can fits about 10-12. In and out style. The songs are a dollar each and updated monthly. The vape bar is located inside hushbar and grill as well. Do not be concerned when you walk in the bar and see plumes of clouds. The staff at the vape side are friendly and put on some good conversations when they are on downtime. Check out and search cloud 50 and check them out! Lastly the grinds! The food is awesome. They have everything from your typical fried foods to housemade fried foods. They have poke, but did I mention that the poke is fresh?! Poke bowls are served as well! Everything is pretty much pupu and sharing style besides their burgers. They have burgers of the month and everytime they have not failed! This month is a pulled pork burger with slaw. Housemade burger patty on top of housemade pulled pork, topped with cheese and housemade slaw on a brioche bun. The parking can sometimes get crowded but the do offer parking across the street, next door on queen st, and on the street. So far there have been no fights there and the crowd is always awesome! Would def come back and throw a party here! Nice place to chill and relax. Also heard some murals will be painted outside and on the ground of the place!

Stopped by here a couple nights ago and was pleasantly surprised .. From the outside I thought it was a drinky bar to be honest then when I went in I soon realized the place was a pretty chill bar/vape hangout spot, btw such a genius idea! Nothing better then alcohol and vaping, to top it off the guy Noel who held the vape section down was very helpful and informative, he answered every question and help show me how to rewick my vape, they have premium liquids and lots of flavor variety that you can sample, which is really helpful in finding the right flavor for your needs, the liquids aren't cheap and for good reason .. Quality over quantity, but since they let you freely try any and all flavors it makes it easier to chose the right one, did I mention they have a community charger!! WhhaaA! I know right.. what don't they do right!? So far so good I had a great time with everyone I was with and everyone at the bar they were very inviting and can't wait to go back and have another shot with them.

HUSH Bar is my GO-TO bar when I'm in town! Don't be deterred by the parking lot because there is plenty of free parking around the area! Their mixed soju drinks are super delicious, my favorite things off the menu are li hing lemon & strawberry shaved ice! It literally culminates those flavors in a glass! The music is always pumping and there are plenty of brand new dartboards for everyone to use. The lighting is awesome and there are also karaoke rooms you can reserve. The servers are super friendly and there is a lovely smoking area for people to congregate and meet. If you're ever in town and Chinatown is just too crazy and packed with drunkies, go to HUSH and get that comfortable vibe on!

I went here last night because my girlfriend wanted to try the different types of soju they have and wow, the li-hing one is bomb. I had about 5 coronas and 2 crown royal shots and a lemon drop and 2 lifesavers. All good, I left drunk and that's what I wanted haha. They have really good food there too. I had the dynamite sauce wings and kimchee fried rice with two over easy eggs on top, oh and Parmesan garlic fries. I was so full that I could barely drink anything. The bartender goes by the name of Scotty, he's a cool dude to have conversations with. Everyday of the week they have specials so I'm gunna try to come here more often.

Their soju drinks are really good, especially the blueberry vanilla one. The food isn't too bad, the chili and poke nachos are good. The garlic fries are greasy but good if you're drunk, I guess. The atmosphere.... it's definitely a particular crowd. The vape bar is directly within Hush, but you won't really be breathing in all the vape smoke unless you plan to sit at the bar. There are other tables and seating next to the darts/games section. It doesn't get too busy so you may feel a little awkward if you sit down at a table as it seems most of the patrons are friends of the bartenders or owners and can sometimes get pretty noisy. I would suggest coming with a couple of people rather than alone or with just one other friend or your significant other. I mean you can, and may still have fun, but I feel like it would be better to bring more people since it seems that's how people do it here. The female server we had a couple of times is really nice, but our guy server was kind of unprofessional and he seemed like he was in another world. He was drinking, apparently. I know its a bar but maybe if you're working you shouldn't drink... It's almost like this place is too laid back. But if that's the kind of atmosphere you like or you don't mind that then check this place out, at least for the soju drinks (they got specials too). This is not an "upscale" bar but it's decent.

Tucked away in Kakaako this dive bar is a great place to get your soju fix and pupus. They have a good selection of soju and specials on drinks and shots like $4 soju and a $3 fruit punch shot. They also have darts and a vape room. Our waitress was super nice and interactive and although it was getting crowded she never forgot us. Just be aware that their private lot does get filled early and street parking is okay but sketchy around the nearby park. Also it does get loud after 1030pm with music and people, so it's not a place to talk stories casually. Definitely will try again!

AMAZING!! Food, drinks, service, atmosphere... All excellent. Want in on a secret? Scotty's Olos are bomb! Ask for a round of those. We ordered chicken wings, garlic fries, kimchi fried rice, & mixed soju drinks and we are definitely coming back for more! If you are looking for a laid back, chill atmosphere with some awesome grinds & drinks, this is the chill spot! Scott takes great care of his customers and they play the right music at the right volume too! If we could give 6/5 stars, we would!

Here for the first time today...went around 630 pm so there were some other people already inside, not too packed though. This is a really good place to hangout, sing karaoke, and eat. Menu is simple and food comes out really fast. We ordered korean style edamame, kimchi fried rice, and chicken wings. All were super fresh and delicious!!!! Irwin was our super cool super friendly waiter. Everything we ordered was recommended by him. The atmosphere is really chill and the vape bar is a neat option if you are into e-cigs.

Who doesn't want to check out a place named HUSH. Oooh, say it softly and slowly. Nope, not that kind of place! Located adjacent to my office, I've been wanting to try this place since they opened but held off. I'm so glad my friends and I decided to try it because of their extensive soju menu! Walked in, the first area you see is Cloud 50. Located in Hush is a small bar area for all you cloud blowers (vapers). Cloud 50 is well lite with a vast selection of vaping supplies and liquids. Off to the right are tables, dart boards and karaoke rooms. It was a Wednesday night, no crowd, which was a plus since it was our first time. The food is okay, the garlic soy beans were REALLY good! Oh my goodness, their soju is off the hook good!!! We tried every flavor on the menu, except for the ume flavor (yep, ume). All was fantastic. Scotty asked if we wanted to try an off the menu concoction, I'm down! Oh my, it was delicious and is now my favorite drink. He called it a pineapple cream, or pineapple dream. I can't really recall as we did just try all the soju. If they put it on the menu, I'm bringing my crew every week! The owners are totally awesome, they stayed and chatting for awhile with us, gave me their business card. Awesome experience. The waitress took awhile to warm up, but all in all we loved our waitress. Love the vibe there, great people. Parking looks like it could be a problem. Easy fix, go early, lol! We will definitely be back. In fact, my friend fell in love with that place and booked a karaoke room before we left. Check them out!

My students used to go to this location (10 years ago) and suggested I come with them... knowing it is a dive bar and not my kind of style. Either they were joking or whatever. It had a different name and was really run down. Now- with a name like Hush - that sounds cool to me. On a normal night though, the clientele is mostly single men. I saw one male/ female couple coming out of Hush but they also had smoking/ vap stuff with them. So inside was mainly all men. Here is my thing- the staff is great. Very helpful. Gary- I think a head bar tender- is really professional. He handled 2 other issues with 2 other clients and then was totally willing to be as helpful as he could to help me out in my problem of trying to find another location here in Kakaako. It is a quiet well lit place to grab a beer and chillllll out with local guys. Here is why 4 stars instead of 5. If I was a 22 yr old girl- I would not feel comfortable going there alone. I also don't smoke or vap so it is not specifically for me...but the staff both head bartender and other vap staff are great and helpful.

Don't miss out on this hidden jem in Kakaako. The laid back atmosphere is perfect for pau hana or karaoke. The lunch fried rice was the shit and the owner is so hospitable. He makes rounds at the tables like an old friend and can sing like Frank Sinatra!

It was a stormy night. Well, it was raining before we went out. We ended the night here, at Hush. And parked next to a puddle. My shoe and sock got soaked on the way out. On the way back, my buddy had his whole pant leg drenched. Then we found out we could've walked around the puddle. Good times. Once we were done with all that puddle business, we checked into the establishment. It's actually pretty well lit, compared to many of the other bars I've been to. Maybe it's because of their choice to make the majority of the interior white, to better reflect some of the neon lighting indoors. When first walking in, there appears to be some sort of vaping bar on the left. Well, this place is known as a vaping lounge. I was feeling quite happy though, so my memory is foggy. Plus there was a lot of fog in the place from the vaping. There's a smattering of dart machines on the other end. Everything inside looks pretty clean and well kept. In addition to being a vaping friendly environment, there are also karaoke rooms on the side, available for rent. The interior of the rooms have walls decorated with impressive urban style art. Just don't leave any of your own tags. That would probably be considered vandalism. The selection of songs is typical, meaning they have the staple Journey and Queen songs for all you karaoke rock stars. What really set this place off for me was the food. I had some amazing steak, that I just couldn't get enough of. Juicy, moist, and tender. And the fries, while somewhat plain, had just the right amount of salt and crispness. Could also be that I was starving by the time we got there, but the food was great. The parking is tight though, so be warned that you may have to circle a bit to find a spot. And watch out for puddles.

Food is great... The drinks are on point. Great mixture.. They also have specials on different nights. And events. I just finished the newly welcomed dynamite wings Boneless.. Hands down slammin... Come through hang out eat and enjoy karaoke, darts, or just watch a game.

Came on a Saturday night and it was real dead tbh but their soju is so delicious and their food was great. If you're not into vape then I don't recommend going. But staff was very friendly.

Stopped by here for Thursday Night Football and to scope this place as a future watering hole. Not good for watching sports unless you sit at the bar. The bar area has large tvs, but if you are sitting in the booths, you are hard pressed to get a good view at a tv, and if you do, the tv will be quite small. (sorry for the long sentence =P). Need more and larger TVs to be an adequate sports watching venue. Hush is not up for consideration for MNF. But Hush isn't billed as a sports bar, it is more a vape bar. I'm not a smoker so can't really comment, but it appears to be fully stocked to service vape customers. Overall, very good customer service by the staff. On this Thursday, we received great service from bartender Frank. On a separate occasion, my funky bunch and I crooned in their karaoke room, and again, excellent customer service from the servers. At the old Queen Bee location, parking can be a pain especially if you have to hunt for street parking in the kakaako neighborhoods... But imo, the parking is not a deal breaker. The food menu is somewhat limited. During the game, I was lucky that it was their happy hour. Cheaply priced, the happy hour portions were a good value. The food is a hit/miss depending on what you order: the fries were fresh & crispy while I thought their nachos needed salsa sauce (pass on their nachos if you are hard to please...). Overall, Hush is great for vaping, service is excellent, and food can be good... There is potential for Hush. 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4. When will I come back here again? Going to give Hush a few months to develop & mature.

The feel of a local corner bar. We were treated warmly and had a great evening here. Huge song selection in two binders. Alcohol wasn't skimped on and they were discreet in letting me know when our tab was low so I could add more. Everyone in our party had a fantastic evening.

Highly recommend this bar for anyone looking for a place to chill after work, pregame before a night out clubbing, or your vaping needs. The food here is the bomb (try out the hush burger/dynamite chicken wings). I'd say that the vibe of the bar is one with a "kick back" feel. Chill bartenders, cute waitresses, and even the patrons are pretty awesome. Check it out and spread the word of this awesome bar!

I really wanted to like this bar as I love my neighborhood and want all the businesses to succeed. Maybe it's just not for me.... It's a vapor/ e cigarette bar that's also a regular local type bar. So if you're into that thing, I think this place would suit you as they have a whole bar dedicated to vaping and mixing the different types of flavors. A little reminiscent of Hooka Bars I use to frequent in college. The outside is not the most welcoming. If I didn't know that it was open due to yelp reviews, I probably would have been turned away as the windows are boarded up and the only thing that indicated that it was indeed a business was a lone blinking neon sign. Inside wise, it's simple with some TVs. 2 Karaoke private rooms are available. I like the art work they did for the vape bar, but the rest of the restaurant is just ok. I was hoping that the food would be as good as the old queen bee bar but I was really disappointed. Although inexpensive, the food quality was not good. The furikake chicken was too salty and the loaded fries was just smothered with cold velveeta cheese. If they couldn't do these simple dishes, what more the other types of food? I did catch a glimpse of the kitchen on the way to the restroom and was kind of aghast at its state of unkept and disarray. Actually, scratch that, it was just plain 'ol dirty. They did have some promising looking drink specials but alas...I don't think I'll be coming back unless the food quality improves

This place is my favorite "where should i go to just drink and chill place"..Seriously. I myself vape & being that this is place has a vape bar and a bar that serves alcohol is perfect! I cannot stress about how much I love the environment here. Service is great, they're friendly. I have seriously been here every single month since the first time I went. haha no joke! But yeah, it is definitely a great place to drink, chill, vape, and play darts. Check out their specials as well. They've got specials on drinks almost every night.
