I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! I got the fried chicken with sides of toss salad and white rice. About 1/2 way through lunch I took a bite of rice and bit into something so hard it took out my front tooth! I spit out the rice on the plate and my tooth came out with it! I immediately notified the cashier who said she would let the owner know. I immediately rushed to my dentists office who thank God is downtown and close by. He repaired my tooth at the cost of $256. I went back to ask the owner to pay for the dental bill. He said, "I don't care what you say, you can't prove it.' I told him I had 2 witnesses with me that saw what happened. A complaint will be filed in small claims court next week. If an owner of a business is going to be this disrespectful to the customers that patronize his business about something that was so obvious, God only knows what is going on behind the scenes with the food prep. Eat there at your own risk but don't say I didn't warn you if you come down with some type of food poisoning!

My favorite here is ahi katsu and double cheese burger. Co-workers and I tried other things too, but we pretty much stick to these two now. Ahi katsu and double cheese burger, I'd give 5 stars for what you get (taste and amount) for the price. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes the rice isn't good. They sometimes are dried hard. Since the dried rice is mixed with other rice, you can't really just pull out a dried rice. If the dried part is at the edge of the scoop, then I don't mind just pulling that portion out. But since they're all mixed, you can't really eat the rice when this happens. They sometimes forget to put the sauce on ahi katsu too. Better to check before you leave.

JUST THROWING THINGS TOGETHER WITHOUT CARE This is based on one visit but would not go back because I felt like I really wasted my money on almost inedible food. I was super hungry and usually things taste better than it actually is when u are really hungry. Not the case here. I got the shrimp curry mini plate and a side of french fries that I thought they were known for. While the taste of the curry was ok, it was way too salty and they didn't take the time to clean their shrimps. These shrimps were about 21/25 in size so the veins were very visible and u could taste it! I had to close my eyes when biting into the shrimps so that I wouldn't lose my appetite from the gross veins now cooked into the meat- but hey I was hungry! One shrimp still had the shell. They also just threw the shrimp in the deep fryer to cook it. So no flavor on the shrimp- except for the taste of the shrimp's digestive system. The portion of the Mini plate is really small so if u are super hungry, go for the regular sized plate. As for the fries, worst I ever had. These were crinkled cut and thick. They give you a huge plate but half of them were too brown and none were salted, so no taste and super dry. But they served it to me. What a waste cause only a few were edible, the rest I threw out. What is so hard about taking the extra step to properly clean and cook their food? In the end, taking these short cuts lost my business. Waste my money once, shame on you. Waste my money twice, shame on me.

This place has become very popular with Downtowners. Everything is cooked to order. They use fresh hamburger (not frozen) that are pressed down from a ball to a patty on the grill. You can watch them in action as they cook your order. My new favorite is their Seafood Platter Combo which is panko-crusted ahi, salmon and shrimp. Outstanding! Everytime I try something new here, I get another new favorite. This place is a must try.

The worst oxtail soup i've ever had! A waste of your $12. The soup was bland and the oxtail was so tough and stuck to the bones, not soft, tender and falling off the bones like it should be. Save your money and get your oxtail soup at Asahi Grill or even Zippys. I also previously ordered Kalbi and fried shrimp. The kalbi was ok, nothing special. The fried shrimp was something frozen out of a box.

This is a good local place to get your awesome grinds on!! Love that it is owned by a local family and the service is absolutely sweet and nice. Try to go on a late lunch and u will never have to wait in line.

My first visit here, and I was surprised by how diverse the menu is here. Many items seem like they are a great value and a few are a little pricey, but I was drawn to the Pastrami Sandwich. I always love a good pastrami. However this was not one. Pastrami wasn't very flavorful and didn't seem like the greatest cut of meat, but it was served on a pretty plain hamburger bun (can I get some rye or sourdough please?). And throw on a slice of American cheese? Ewww, yuck. That decision needs to be rethought out. It completely ruined whatever enjoyment was left of this sandwich. However the krinkle-cut fries were great. Crispy and fresh enough to last my whole walk back to the office. I will return to try some more of the menu, but will definitely avoid the pastrami next time.

My first visit there and I wasn't thoroughly impressed by the menu options, it looks similar to an L&L menu in a way but also different in some ways. The plate lunch was a little more pricey than I expected but I thought to give it a shot anyways. I decided to order their New York Steak special with garlic shrimp - instead of the fried shrimp. The gentleman taking my order said that should be perfectly fine and wrote my order on the plate. However, I was sadly disappointed when they called out my order number and I found out they had given me fried shrimp instead. They did fix my order but the lady handing me my plate didn't look to keen on the idea. However I would not recommend sitting in there to eat, it's just way too hot. Not sure how the employees could handle being in that heat either. Perhaps if I have another experience it may be better, but I can't be sure until I go back... or if I even want to.

Consistently good food and reasonable prices. I usually get the steak and fried shrimp special, but today had the Cajun seared salmon and it was delicious too. They will make you fresh musubi and the breakfasts look great. They just stopped serving breakfast all-day about a week ago, so I guess I'm never going to get to try that shrimp omelette. But the lunch options are really good if you're tired of curry & beef stew. Although they have those too :)

I always love going to Harbor Drive Inn. I'm almost known as a regular just because every single time I go there, I will order the seared salmon. I never pick salt & pepper or cajun, just let them give me whatever (usually cajun) and honestly it's delicious! I really should get their names, but it's all the same people working everyday. Very kind and courteous people, I've never felt uncomfortable there. Portions are great, especially if you're a big eater. Go for the burger with fries, if the burger doesn't fill you up the fries will! Suggestion to customers - go early like 11 because they get busy and you'll end up waiting a really long time. Everything is cooked to order so if there's a crowd you better get in there quick and order. I've done a phone order a couple of times so I can work until I KNOW my food is ready. If you've questioned about going here, I'm telling you it's worth it! Just wish they would bring breakfast back! :(

Been coming here every other day for a couple of weeks. Tried the short ribs, cheeseburger, garlic chicken, and fried chicken plates. They're ALL good!

Good plate lunch place with great prices. No wonder they do a high-volume business. Over the last few weeks, I have had the following: - Cajun ahi and crab cake sandwich - great! - Short ribs - in Teri sauce. A little tough, but so so good! - Tuna melt - solid, on rye bread with plenty of tuna salad. - Fried chicken - can't say I cared for it. It was too crunchy hard and I couldn't identify the pieces. I have an aversion to mystery chicken. - Loco Moco - maybe the best on the island. Good gravy and enough of it. - BBQ double cheeseburger - plenty of hamburger, sweet BBQ sauce, overall really really good. - Cheeseburger - would not order again. Burger too small for the bun. No one likes dry bread. - Fries - best I've had from any plate lunch place. Does need salt though, I don't think they add any.

If you remember 3 Star Gourmet that used to be next door the food is pretty much the same thing. It looks like they just moved next door and changed names. All I can say is I'm glad that they're back!. It's one of the closest restaurants to my workplace and they have good food with great prices. My favorite is the special that they usually have. Cajun Ahi and Crab Cake Sandwich with Fries. You get a nice fat piece of fully cooked Ahi topped off with a Crab Cake! I know it sounds like overkill but these 2 things mix well. They also put a nice Aioli sauce on it and there's usually a slice of cheese to. All of this for $6.75 is a steal!

Had the chicken cutlet. It was good but I have had better. Mac salad was just plain mac and mayo with a few specks of carrots. Good price though. If u are looking for a great chicken cutlet in my opinion go to Zippys (wednesday special). I'll be back since their menu is quite big.

Co-worker & I deCided on lunch here after having to pass by a few times. I had the baked stuffed salmon ($9.16, that's with tax), choice of brown/white rice & toss salad/mac salad. The price for my plate I would say was pretty good! I didn't get that much salad but that's ok what mattered most was the size of the salmon. The salmon was a pretty good size & the stuffing (I think consisted of crab meat, might be imitation but didn't taste like it) was enough! I think it was baked in some sweet savory sauce & topped off with a mayo type sAuce bRinging all the flavors together. It was really good! Don't take my word for it, just go try it for yourself...

These guys serve breakfast and a very diverse lunch menu. I've only had breakfast here and it was pretty good. They use quality ingredients and cook their food with love. If you want a tasty and quick breakfast with nothing fancy you'll be happy here.
