As far as the ice cream well its the same taste like every branch but what I dont understand is why an ice cream place like this is inside in one of the busiest food court and which is surrounded by luxury multimillion condos yet they have a sign that says no change over $20? For goodness sake the food court got remodeled already, each scoop is $5, and the lines are always pretty long yet u dont have change for a $50 or $100? When i asked i was told that its because of safety. Well i think they meant safety of the employees not the customer. If they cant control theft in the business why have a business? Believe me i dont think this ice cream place will be the first target if a robber goes in there. I was told to go to the next food establishments and ask for change. While my kids are already licking their ice cream.. Really? Like i said busiest food court. Hmm. Lucky i was able to scramble the right amount of change or i would have given back the ice creams thats half way eaten just because they cant change my $100. Oh and it was $15 for 3 small scoops talk about a rip off but my kids wanted it . . No problem. But now no way I will support this. Theres a bank close by . Every manager needs to be sure that there is change and dont ask me to use my credit card for such a small amount. Cash is still better. Perhaps they need to move next to a supermarket so getting change wont be so hard. Ridiculous!

Went to get some ice cream, the young Asian clerk talking stories with her so called family and she doesn't seem to acknowledge the customers waiting (us) So we flag the other clerk (young guy), and we say hey can we order something since she's too busy talking stories? ...his response was, she's talking to her family. Umm seriously, I think they are too young to understand how they have a job, and your customers are the ones that gives you a job. And hey you wanna talk stories then go take a break! I mean there was no apology, I guess talking stories with their families are more important. So what if each clerks family stopped by at the same time, does that mean us customers have to wait until they are done before we can order ice cream? What is going on here? The ice cream is great, but the customer service at the Ala Moana sucks!!

Nothing can go wrong with ice cream and their ice cream is good, but it's a bit pricey here. Some employees are not very friendly either. You're in luck if you've come across one.

Would have given this place zero stars if I could because of poor value, combined with extremely poor service. One staff was supposed to be counting the cash but was too busy talking to her friend. Not surprisingly she came out short. Meanwhile because this person was too busy yapping away with her friend and because she had to recount the cash, the line to pay for stuff became way too long. Plus, the prices here are way out of line. Paid nearly $7 for a small malt. Do yourself a favor and go to Dairy Queen right around the corner for better service and value.

I have always loved the ice cream! Though i cant say the same about the service, The last couple times ive went the service was alright. No smiles, so service was definitely just mediocre. However, today i finally got the service i think every customer deserves! Crystal made sure i got exactly how much i wanted and ACTUALLY SMILED. Better service, happier customer. Keep up the good service

I used to go a lot because of their Bailey Irish Icecream flavor. The only Ice cream flavor that gets me craving for Haggen Daz.... Now that is discontinued, I only go when its just right there for me. I usually get Strawberry now.... Thats it........ It's not what I really want but........ I just wanted ice cream at the moment and I didnt wanna walk to Longs for it. The service was okay as usual.

Came here last night after dinner and got the mint chip sundae that was advertised on the light boards. No price on anything, and now I know why...it was $8.10 for a sundae! Mint choco ice cream, hot fudge, orea cookies and whipped cream...that's it! I can go out and get a gallon of ice cream for less than that! WHAT!?!?!? It was really yummy, but NOT COMING BACK HERE! I'll go and get a pint at Foodland next time! :)

Minus 1 star for being located in the KING-sized Ala Moana shopping mall food court. Really this stuff is crack in a cone! Damn fine ice cream. Their current drug of choice is the Belgian chocolate shake, drool, gads that stuff is, drool, wipe mouth, drool some more good.

Quality ice cream at high prices. I still love it. The store-brought haagen-daaz vanilla covered with almonds and dipped in chocolate is one of my all-time standbys. It got me through long and desolate days in Japan, where all other ice cream is spongy, fluffy, and completely devoid of the rich creaminess we love in America. Thus, Haagen-daaz will always have a special place in my ice creamy heart of hearts. As for the haagen-dazs parlors, I like them too. I don't frequent them as much because of the unhealthful factor (I get my plain tart frozen yogurt from red mango or ce fiore instead), but the ice cream is quality and if I have to choose an unknown ice cream vs haagen dazs I'll take the dazs.

Its Haagen-Dazs. Its good when you need it. The problem with this location is...the location. Expect a wait for your order. But then again you can eat it while watching the sunset on Waikiki. ML

DO NOT GET THE SHAKES, well at least not at this location. I ordered the Belgian chocolate shake and got a really good chocolate milk. I took it back to the girl at the counter and asked if this is how the shakes are supposed to be? She said it supposed to be thicker and would make me another one. When I got my second one, it was the same watery consistency. I took it back to a different girl, and she also said it should be thicker and would maker me another one. How was the next one you ask? Striiiiike three, you're out! Seriously how hard is it to make a milkshake? Blended ice cream and milk is not rocket science, it's not even bicycle science. Don't get me wrong the ice cream is excellent, a perfect balance of creaminess and flavor in cool refreshing treat, but I'll never order their shakes again. Did you have a different experience?

Ooooh, I love Haagen Dazs. I was a major part of my life growing up. The one I used to go to is no longer in existence (on Kalakaua, near Beretania Foodland - I think it's a Pho shop now). Now I hit this Haagen Dazs because it is convenient to get to. A little pricey for ice cream, but worth it! My favorite: Swiss Almond Vanilla in a regular cone (screw sugar cones; they don't support the ice cream as well and don't absorb dripage.).

NOM NOM NOM! Cookies n' Cream in a waffle cone! Good service, some small talk jokes were even cracked. :) Creamy ice cream with lots of cookie chunks throughout. Waffle cone was crispy and good. My only "complaints" being: it was a wee- bit over priced to upgrade to waffle cone (over $1 just for the cone upgrade), and as I was eating y ice cream I realized my iced cream was dripping out of the bottom of the cone.... So - great ice cream, good service and even good cone... But the price was a bit steep for cone upgrade, especially considering it was a leaky cone...

Customer service is golden in my books and my boyfriend and I received negative vibes and treatment from various staff members. Our server who shall remain nameless was rude and acted as though as we were inconveniencing her when we walked up and placed our order: 1. Raspberry sorbet sipper 2. Dulce split dazzler 3. Water bottle She didn't acknowledge our order and went ahead and started to make them. I asked for a cover for my dazzler and she rolled her eyes...umm okayyy. She refused to run my card again when she said it was "Declined" when in fact my boyfriend saw "Error" on her screen. When my boyfriend asked her to do it for the fourth time, boom, payment went through. We said thank you and she just turned her back and walked away. ***DESPITE*** the customer service, I love all the flavor options and shop specialty options. Rich and full of zing, you will not be disappointed with whatever you choose. May I suggest adding a water bottle to wash down the sweetness; your taste buds will thank you after. =)

YUMMMM! I love ice cream! Thanks to the lady that worked on my most recent visit, I have a new favorite flavor, Caramel cone. It is vanilla ice cream with caramel ribbons and pieces of chocolate dipped ice cream! OMG to die for! Its perfect because you can have the delicious waffle pieces with out having to order it.

I got the Dulce de leche which I am a huge fan of...anything dulce de leche...it just wins me over for some reason. Although I did ask for the macadamia nut ice cream and they unfortunately discontinued it. 4 stars for the ice cream. it would have been 5 if they still had macadamia nut. If we are basing it on staff/service, I would have to say it's a 2.5 stars. The staff was not very friendly. Maybe it was because it was close to closing but still...It's so important to be 100% till the end...who know...I could have been the owner in disguise. lol. Location: perfectly place in Ala Moana food court and close to the exit door. lol. Hard to pass up even when you are in a rush to get out of the mall.

We were actually looking for spoons (long story) and decided why not get some ice cream with it? So we hit up the nearby, to our hotel, mall and found the Haagen-Dazs inside. We got the cookies and cream ice cream and it was pretty good... but expensive. We quickly learned that you pay a premium for just about everything in Waikiki, but this was still early on in the trip for us. Same type of food you would expect at any outlet, but at a more expensive price.
