I've come here quite a bit in the last couple of weeks to enjoy my peppermint mocha for the season. However, here they offer a wide variety from your typical peppermint mocha. You have your peppermint bark latte, white chocolate peppermint mocha, and dark chocolate peppermint mocha. I appreciate the variety as well as the variety of baked goods that are baked on site. You don't see that too often at other coffee establishments. I've tried a couple of their muffins and found them to be just the right amount of moistness. Service is usually pretty good as they are great with answering my questions and being patient while I order. Sometimes, I've noticed there are individuals that linger in the pickup area to talk with the baristas. Eh...as long as the baristas are clean and my order is made, I'm fine with it. Overall, I like their drinks and muffins :)

Located in the Pearl Harbor Mall. Nice place to get a quick bite to eat and some coffee. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast burrito. They are huge! Very yummy :)

This Coffee shop is located in the Navy Exchange on the second level and you dont need a government I.D to buy coffee here, although you would if you wanted to do any shopping inside. The coffee here is good. Not great, just good. The service was really prompt. They have a set expresso menu with most of their beverages and from what i remember you could start off with one up to three shots. This was common in all of their drinks. The coffee was nice and strong but it was missing the smoothness that im used to from the curb in Monoa. There are not many coffee places located in the exchange, in fact aside from McDonalds, this may be the only other place to order coffee.

I've been there 3 times. 2 of those times they weren't open during store hours! The first time I got there, the girl was closing 30 minutes early because she had a DR appt and no one could cover her. The second time I got there, it was 15 minutes to close and they were closed. Wth Third time (and was going to be my final time) they were actually open and my experience with the barista was pleasant. She was friendly and chatty. It made me actually think about going back. I lived off of Green Beans when I was deployed so they have a special place in my heart. I'm definitely partial to the NEX location though.

Hands-down the best coffee money can buy! That's not to mention the awesome Baristas who work there! ask the baristas for their recommendations because they understand coffee like no other. If you are hungry, try their awesome breakfast burritos!

I like this place. Yes it might be slow service sometimes and yes they might get some people's orders wrong once in a while. But they have. Espresso in quadruple serving sizes and they have an app where you get a free drink (no limits on size or cost) just for signing up its called loyaltree and you them gain point for more free drinks or pastries. On that note, the pantries are made right there in the store.

I love their frapaccinos and their muffins. Green bean coffee kiosks are mainly located on military bases. This one is located in the nex food court. They are spreading to some airports though such as Newark, nj. But, you can also order their coffee online to enjoy it as well. They have an awesome program where you can purchase coffee for a soldier that is deployed. There is an app called loyal tree where you can rack up points on purchases that can be used to receive free beverages and snacks. Just for joining I was given a reward for any drink. I ended up with an extra large vanilla frap. It was tasty and boy did it take me two days to finish since it was so large. I also purchased a snicker doodle muffin. It looked like it was pumped up with some supernatural growth injection. I loved it. It was soft, buttery, and the snicker doodle was on point. I could not finish it either lol. I saved it for the next day. I love that they support the military and give civilians the opportunity to thank them in a way of just purchasing a cup of joe for them. I'll be back!!!

I usually enjoy this place but was really upset sunday 9-13-2015. I Order a drink for my husband and I to share. While waiting (I was not waiting long at all) i started to feel bad and crampy. I was having a miscarraige right there. I was upset and also worried about people seeing me bleeding. I walked up to the guy making the coffees and politely asked if he was making my drink because if he wasnt i wanted to cancel so he didnt waste making a drink. All i was thinking about was getting out of there. He rudely yells out for everyone around "what am I taking to long? I can stop making everyone elses and make them wait so i can make yours" i was shocked. Trying so hard not to cry at this moment i just told him i had a personal emergency and had to leave he kept mumbling and told me to go to cashier. He started getting upset with her. I asked him why is he getting upset with her he told me to shut up and mind my own damn business and that he is telling her what the hell to do. I apologized to the customers behind me and to the cashier. He kept saying upsetting stuff. I asked cashier for a managers number and went on my way. While leaving he was yelling out here i dont care and do u want my name etc. I was so upset. Going through my 4th miscarraige was upsetting enough. Got to car and called the manager chris. He did not answer the phone. Called back when i got home and left a message. He never returned any of my calls. My husband went to the location on pearl harbor base To get me a number the lady he talked to was the assistant manager and she gave him her number and said i can call her the next day. I called her tuesday left a voicemail and now its thursday and I still have not got a call back from her either. Right now im trying to find a number for someone higher up but not getting any luck on aything. Im gonna keep looking for numbers. The way I was treated thay day was awful and im still upset as of today about it. I was nice to this young man and thought he was a nice person untill he yelled at me.before i talked to him he was laughing and talking with the 1st customer. I dont know why his mood changed that quick for no reason at all. But No customer should be treated like that.

This spot is tucked away in the food court area of the NEX. One day after wearily wandering over to the NEX in need of lord only knows and I had the caffeine shakes.... And seeing this place was like seeing an oasis in the desert. I ordered the biggest iced coffee that they had and it honestly is one of the smoothest tasting coffees I've ever had. I went back a few days later minus the coffee shakes and had a small cafe mocha and it was equally as delicious. The staff there is very friendly and attentive and the baked goods look phenomenal although I refuse to let one into my stomach.

It was time to break the two-week latte fast!!! In my mad desperation to fill my latte craving I found this shop at the Pearl Habor NEX and immediately knew the time had come! I don't know much about Green Beans Coffee - this is the first time I've even heard of this outlet. But I immediately liked the fact that they go above the par on espresso offerings in their lattes. That is, a 12 oz latte has two shots of espress - and 16 oz latte has three - and you can do the math from here. Another plus, it's not a bust on the pocket book! In fact, I find more hurt from the high sales tax in Hawaii than any hurt from the price of the latte! As for taste, it is three star. That is, not my favorite white latte but no where near the worst either. It was good for a mad latte many like myself! And yes I would come back again! It's a good deal and pretty satisfying overall!! Recommend: MED-HIGH

Let me start of saying I am normally a Starbucks coffee drinker. I decided this morning to try a snall business coffee shop. What a horrible decsion. 1. Why not be friendly? She acted like I was an inconvenience to her day...try smiling. Be kind I sure was. 2. It should not take 8 minutes to make an ice chai latte when I am the ONLY PERSON IN LINE. I don't even wait 8 minutes at Starbucks with 30 people in line. You're on a military base... we don't have time to wait... I ended up leaving WITHOUT my coffee and burrito so I wouldn't be late ( I work right down the road) 3. What a waste of $9.21 ... I don't recommend this place... get with the program. Work on your customer service.

I love this place.. I wish it had a little area to sit in but it's in the big food court in the NEX, so that's understandable. The coffee is always great and the staff working there is ALWAYS nice and helpful and cheery.

It is a friendly place to stop and get a delicious drink. My husband likes his coffee hot and I like mine cold. Always a plus when we get to enjoy this at a place other than Starbucks :) It is especially awesome when the staff gives you suggestions on what to try or makes something up based off your tastes and this place does just that. We have yet to try any of the snacks so I can't really comment on that. Otherwise, I suggest you check it out.

Meh... I recently discovered I'm a pessimist, its something I have to work on.. But I'm gonna have to give this place a meh.. I've only purchased from them twice, but both times my order was screwed. First off, I don't like cheese for breakfast, it makes me queasy. I ordered a bacon & Egg wrap on a particularly busy morning. Of course I had to wait at least seven minutes for my wrap to be made, only to watch the cook slab a big ole slice of cheese on it..I immediately corrected her, as the cashier stood sipping on her coffee. (not jumping in to help, or tell the cook that I asked to hold the cheese) I watched the cook attempt to peel the cheese off the tortilla, and at this point I was somewhat annoyed. After an extra three minutes, she discovered that all the cheese wasn't going to come off (duh), she told me shed have to make it again.. Blah! On my second visit (Because obviously I didn't learn the first time) I ordered a plain bagel and cream cheese. Oddly, my bagel came out broken into pieces. It wasn't that much of a big deal, since I was going to break it up to eat it but still.. it annoyed me. I can't say that i'll never eat here again, because that would probably be a lie.. But If I can avoid this place, I will. The pessimist

5 stars of you like fancy pants caffeine drinks. Regular coffee 3 stars. Honestly, in this neighborhood, it is 5 stars as regular coffee competitors in this area are McDonald's & Starbucks. 5 stars for good, old - fashioned customer service. Yes, it does exist. 5 stars for fast service. It's coffee so fast is good. 5 stars for food offerings. Fresh, plentiful & ono. It is not fine dining. The fare is akin to Starbucks or other coffee experiences. 5 stars as restrooms are nearby. Clean and several stalls for females. Maintained so toilet paper is always available. Free parking. Tons of stalls. Uncovered, private lot.

I love coffee! Green Beans frappe is not your typical light tasting coffee flavor blended drink you get from Starbucks. A medium drink has 2 shots of expresso and the large has 3 shots of expresso. Free expresso shots already in a frappe? That's definitely my kind of coffee drink. The price for a drink is around $5 which is typical of all coffee places. I just can't keep raving about how much stronger their coffee drinks are compared to other places. I wish there was more locations but I'm happy at least there's one location here. It's better than not having it here at all. They are located on the second floor next to the NEX entrance where the old Seattle's Best use to be. This place supports their troops! They give out free coffee to deployed service members.

Coffee was alright, better than McDonalds but not as great as Starbucks. The reason for the 1 star was because of the service received. The red head girl was a bit passive aggressive. I was able to make friendly conversation with her (except for a few cursing $*%T words that popped out of her mouth) . BUT when I asked her where my change was she claimed I gave her a $5 and that she "took out a few dollars" out of her tip jar because it was actually $7. (She never did tell me I short paid until AFTER I questioned her where my change was. Wouldn't you ask your customer for more money instead of taking it out of your tip drawer?!) At first I figured it was my mistake but as I sat down drinking my coffee, I realized I was actually short on my cash. When i went back a few minutes later I asked her nicely if she could please double check her drawer to see if she was over. She started to get really defensive and started showing me all her cash in her drawer. I understand and maybe I would have gotten defensive too, but come on what was so hard about counting the money in your cash drawer too see if you balanced or over? That would have been the easiest and most honest way to solve the situation instead of going on the defense. I left there feeling short changed, frustrated and too irritated to even finish the coffee. If it was my mistake then fine I would admit to it, but at least try counting your cash and balancing instead of holding up all the cash in your hand and flaunting it and saying that's "all you have."

This place is amazing. They put Starbucks to shame with their Carmel latte. They also have all kinds of baked goods to really send you into that diabetic coma you were hoping for. The staff is also very friendly and extremely cute. They make an excellent product and I would choose this place over any major chain.

This is the best coffee, by far. I had this for the first time in Afghanistan and was upset to not have any when I got back to the states. Now the Navy stationed my husband in Hawaii, they opened one here. It was a breath of fresh air to finally see the best coffee offered so close. They have a plethora of drink selections so if coffee isn't your thing you won't be disappointed. Also, their pastries are amazing! Stop in and try for yourself!

I stumbled out of the NEX on the opening day of this awesome coffee shop. Me: "Oh my God... What is that smell?" My friend: " I don't know. I don't smell it." She looks at my daughter and asked, " Is it you?" Me: " No it's.... COFFEE." I couldn't get out of that NEX line fast enough. I was about to start scanning my own items for them! I come out look the the right, to the left. I didn't see it. Followed my nose and bam. A line of coffee drinkers. After being sleep deprived from being single parent for the last few weeks I was about to start paying people to let me be first. I came to the front (which by the way is the opposite of Starbucks which is the line starts by the baked goods) Once I figured out that I needed to be on the Cash Register side I was up there any ready to order anything. Oh my gosh they have Dirty Chais!! (It says "Espresso Chai tea" (Most places I've found lately if I ask for a dirty chai they look at me like I want to take them out back! ) Warning: This place is whole bean espresso city! When I mean you order a large you get 4 SHOTS of Espresso. Woo hoo.... Just what I need to get through the Commissary!! So Small= 2 shots, Medium= 3 shots, Large= 4 shots. I've been back several times now. Holding people by their hand and dragging them to see Coffee Bean. Quite the bang for your buck! I recently had a friend here that liked white chocolate mocha, but asked for only 1 and a half shots of espresso. Mm.... I'll take those! Remember Honor First. Coffee Second. and if your feeling really patriotic, buy a deployed soldier (or service member) a cup of Joe. Pretty sweet!

So I saw someone mention this coffee once on yelp, then i swear these green beans were following me around for the next week. EVERYONE was instagramming it, facebooking it. And then surprise surprise, one opened up right by work! SCOORE I try to avoid all the extra calories in a coffee drink, so I just stick to regular coffee. I don't WANT to say I'm a coffee snob, but it's true I do hide a small bag of coffee in my desk to avoid the costco big tub sales rack coffee in the office. Yes, I'll pay premium for good coffee, whole bean, to grind as you need it. This is by far the best coffee I've had at a coffee chain in a long time. The coffee was a smooth medium roast. If the caffeine didn't make me jittery, I would be drinking this all day just for the taste. I saw that they have breakfast here. One day I'm going to have to come back to try it. Please everyone try this out! I don't want them going out of business.

I didn't have their coffee since about 2 hours prior I had my Starbucks fix. I ordered a small raspberry Italian cream soda. What that consisted of was an Italian soda with whip cream on top. I said "cream" twice to the cashier and he acknowledged my order of an Italian cream soda. The proportions were off, lots of carbonated water, ice, and just a hint of raspberry. My cousin ordered a medium iced mocha and he too didn't enjoy his beverage it was too sweet as he put it and he couldn't really taste any coffee even though it came with (3) shots of espresso. A small comes with 2 shots and a medium comes with 3. Service is kinda slow, & we were the only customers there. My cup had coffee grinds all on the bottom for some reason. I had to use 2 napkins to clean it up from my hands and cup. I trashed my drink before finishing about half. They're located on the second floor of the NEX where Seattle's Best previously was. If you think Starbucks is a rip off, then I suggest you don't bother with Green Beans. I'm not usually one to complain (openly at least)... but I highly doubt I'll be a returning customer. Tip: a small drink is equivalent to a medium size.

This place JUST opened up in the second level of the NEX where Seattles Best used to be. I'm talking like just over a week ago. First off, if you've never heard of Green Beans Coffee like I hadn't, they are VERY VERY military oriented. There slogan seems to be "Honor First, Coffee Second." They have an option to even send a cup of coffee to a deployed serviceman with a note for $2, which I thought was really cool. They also donate a certain amount of their proceeds to military organizations. Go military! There set-up seems like nothing has changed from the way Seattle's Best had it. They have several different coffee and non coffee options with several different ways to make it just like most standard coffee shops. I ordered a decaf caramel latte with whipped cream. I placed my order with the barista who was very helpful and proceeded to wait. While waiting, I noticed their selection of different pastries and sandwiches. When I inquired she told me that made everything in house except for there bagels. I LOVE LOVE LOVE business who do all the pastries themselves (makes for a whole lot more respect on my end! The overall process to get my drink took a while (hence the four stars- I mean I know they're new but it was long enough my patient husband became not so patient). But when I got my drink...DELICIOUS! Do I dare even say better than Starbucks? YES! I cannot wait to go back to this place and try another delicious drink and try out those wonderful looking pastries! Awesome to have another good coffee shop in the NEX

After battling the land of the big NEX, I need caffeine to keep my Asian driving skills in check for the drive home to the Leeward side! Seattle's Best closed down in December 2012. Their coffee was always watered down. Like really bad. The other alternative for coffee in the area is stopping by Starbucks at the Moanalua shopping center. I would have to find another parking spot, unload two cranky kids out, stand in line, and load them back into the car without spilling the coffee or getting run over during lunch time. Not gonna happen. I'm so glad Green Beans Coffee opened up! Now I can get my grocery shopping done and still grab a great cup of coffee to go! They are located on the second floor of the NEX food court. You don't need a military ID to get in the food court. Only if you are going to the NEX or Commissary. Also, the parking lot was recently repainted with wider stalls. No more mysterious dings. Maybe it's time to let the missus drive the hooptie from now on, pops. I have been deployed to Iraq and everything about deployment sucks. EVERYTHING. Try not having Starbucks for a year. Getting Cheetos or Lucky Charms in a care package is the closest thing to coming home. I love that Green Beans Coffee is available overseas where our soldiers are deployed to. Seeing the smiles on those soldiers' faces with their coffee is awesome facebook.com/cupofjoefor… Thank you for your service!

Too unorganized, too chatty and too social. Second time I've been to this location and second time I've been forgotten about. They're quick to take your money, but slow to provide the product.

I stop by the Holomoku shop every morning for an espresso and the conversation. Keanna usually spots me as I walk up and half the time my order is ready as I'm paying. All of the baristas are super friendly and I always walk away in a better mood. And with coffee. Win.

I tried this for the first time a couple months ago. I got the caramel frappuccino and it is hands down the best coffee drink I have ever had. It puts Starbucks frappe to shame. It's so creamy it tastes like your drinking a milkshake. I'm pregnant so I only got one shot and now I'm addicted. I usually only have coffee once a month but I've been getting then weekly but with decaf and it still tastes amazing!!!! You have to try this place!

Despite not having a rewards card, its employees know my name, and I'm always greeted with a smile. I've been there maybe once a week or two, so I'm not there often enough to more than likely BE remembered in the bustle of coffee lovers. All the girls have distinct personalities and always do their best with the talents and skills Given to them. I'm blessed to know this place so I can get out of the house once in a while, when I'm not busy putting my nose to the writer's grindstone. The social experience is just as important as my dose (at times OVERdose) of caffeine. I appreciate their work, their time, and their faces. As an Update review, I'm exceedingly happy the iced coffee is made through a toddy machine. That explains the om-nom-nom factor.

So, after a hike and a messed up lunch order, I decided to try Green Beans. I want to add that I spoke to my husband on the phone and excitedly told him I was coming here just before lunch. He wasn't impressed. Apparently, it's only cool if you go to one in Afghanistan. Whatever... The pastries looked pretty standard, a little expensive for me. I assume they are make in a centralized location and delivered. I can't really see them doing real baking in the space they have. Service was ok. Friendly enough, a bit slow. I might have caught them between shifts. I thought the prices for the drinks were a bit on the high side. Black iced coffee cost me over $3, and I know I can get that cheaper at Starbucks. Frankly, it was just a coffee. A somewhat overpriced, overhyped, standard cup of coffee. This isn't something I'd go out of my way for, but if the urge for a cup of coffee ever hits while I'm already at the NEX, I'd go. Save money and make coffee at home. That's what I do.

This place is awesome! They are so helpful and patient, they are always so nice and fun. I was skeptical at first, but I love it. It nice that they open at 7 instead of 9. When I come early I don't want to have to only get McDonald's. I've hade bad experiences at the McDonald's at the NEX. I decided not to go back so the green beans coffee is the perfect choice. I would chose them over McDonald's even if I liked McDonald's. You're getting better quality and service all around. They offer so much and it's reasonably priced! I got a bacon breakfast burrito for the first time today. I paid 4.95 for it and it was HUGE and sooo good! I thought it would be some little burrito like what McDonald's has but no it was better then I thought it would be! I'm highly satisfied! Also if you're a regular get the app! You can get points for what you but and use those points for future purchases! Could it get any better!? :)

Well... finally tried out that place that took over Seattle's best. Tried to get an italian soda but they ran out? Shucks, maybe next time. So, lets see... ordered a mocha frap instead and short story even shorter, it wasn't very thick. In fact, it wasn't really like a blended drink, more like milk with very strong coffee. But at least it was nice and chilly, and the staff was really nice. McDonald's is next door... and the coffee drinks are cheaper... But hey! this place has its own oven and makes its own pastries and stuff (the scones look gigantic and covered in glaze!) so its worth a try again. I'll be back for those.
