Food is usually good here. And I usually get the breaded chicken cutlet which is my favorite. In my opinion better than Richie's Boneless chicken. Until today. 1/2/15. Ordered the Chicken cutlet and took my plate home. I ate one piece and was good. Ate the second piece and it was terrible. Tried the third piece and it was just as bad. The two pieces I ate was spoiled. Took a piece back to the store and informed the owner of the situation and that if anything happens to me that you are informed. The owner was in denial and nothing was wrong with the dish. I kept encouraging her to smell the piece and she still did not say anything wrong with it. She offered to give me a refund which is fine. She made no apology for selling spoiled food. She informed me that the batch of chicken they use is fresh and nothing is wrong. She wanted to take my evidence with her. I told her no way. I told her let me find someone else to smell this chicken and we will see what they think about the chicken. Went to the massage place across them and asked the owners what they think about this piece of chicken. I mention nothing to them about what is wrong with it. The owner and his wife smelled it and both said it's a little spoiled. The owner of Flamingo was there standing hearing what these people were saying. She still did not offer and apology. She just refund my money and informed me that if anything happens to contact her and bring a doctor's note. I hope I don't get sick.

Awesome food. Me and my family ate their shoyu chicken, club sandwich and pancakes. They were all pretty good.

I've been here for breakfast a few times before. The breakfast foods are nothing really special but it's filling and good enough for me to return. I always get the number 1 breakfast plate - 2 eggs with your choice of one breakfast meat. Sorry, I don't remember exactly what breakfast meats are offered because I always get Portuguese sausage. This morning after deciding on ordering from Flamingo, I wanted to try something different so I got the number 3 breakfast plate - two eggs with fried rice and Portuguese sausage. I was hungry so I didn't have time to take a picture. I got a good amount of fried rice with the two eggs over easy, and four Portuguese sausage. I was kind of sad I only got 4 pieces, but I had some leftovers which I gave to my better half (he's my garbage disposal) so I didn't mind after. The fried rice was a tad bit bland, but because I use ketchup, it helped. The good thing about the menu is that the wording is big and it's extended outwards. I appreciate that since I'm a blind mullet lol. I'm happy with the service. The employees are friendly and the food comes out in a good amount of time.

The "miso butterfish" served in 9/8 was Escolar, not Cod. If you like previously frozen, poor quality food, slow service and and small portions (maybe this is a blessing), then this place is for you. Lots of better choices at Ranch 99. Skip.

My poor son was so hungry! He ordered breakfast with hash browns but when he received his food, the hash browns were very burnt and very greasy. He took it back and the counter lady told the cook to make a new hash brown. 10 minutes later the counter lady checked in his food AND THE COOK FORGOT ABOUT IT!

Not so shabby food! I came to 99 Moanalua for lunch, but ended up getting breakfast from Flamingo's lol. Totally not the plan! But something about a place that serves breakfast all day and a bakery that just lures me in! It's those dang options! Haha. I ordered the original short stack which came with 2 slices of super crispy bacon, & a side bowl of fried rice ($3.50). The fried rice (in my opinion) is better than the other vendors selling fried rice in 99 Moanalua. The short stack was okay too. Thick! I also ordered a biscuit and a banana bread loaf from their bakery side. The banana bread was pretty good (not too sweet, just the right amount of moist) and the biscuit was sweet, but way too crumbly for me. It broke apart in my hand too easily and was a bit of a mess for me. But overall I liked this place. It was my first time here, so not bad, not bad.

Hopefully they grab the cook from Flamingos restaurant... The decor there was totally 70's... But the food was tasty and reasonable.

Came here for lunch today, would have been a 3-4 star but the counter service is terrible. The Korean lady behind the counter belongs at the Angry Korean Lady Restaurant in town. I had the lamb curry was pretty darn good. But that lady with no idea what customer service is blew the deal. No wonder they not busy, FAIL.

Yep, the organization of this place is terrible!!! There cooks are amateurs, pancakes weren't cooked well tasted like batter, hash browns greasy, slow service, slow staff, go eat somewhere else if you want better breakfast or food for that matter. Ranch 99 has more eateries to choose from stay away from flamingos!! They had an express in Ewa Beach and that was just as bad, if not worse than the one in Ranch 99. They both are not managed well by the owner KG who cares more about money than customer service! After 2 of their eateries closing I am surprised that this one is still open. Gave it a try anyway and that was enough for me to permanently STAY AWAY should've known better!

Located in the old 99 Ranch building. The organization here sucks! There seems to be no communication between the counter ladies and cutting in line seems to be the norm here. It seems the workers don't really care who arrives first and and who is waiting patiently in line. Although there were 2 registers, only one was being manned and a young counter girl would take orders and tell customers to move to the other register for the lady to ring us up. While waiting to pay, the cashier becomes distracted by customers picking up their phone orders, thus leaving us hanging. Not sure why the younger girl didn't fulfill this, since she seemed to be the runner. While I waited patiently in line to order, a lady strolls up to the hot line side, where the young girl was just about to take my order, at which time the young girl focuses her attention on the lady. Wow, shafted!!! That's the problem with the younger generation these days... A.D.D. or short attention span! If I were a smart phone, I'm sure she would've kept her attention focused on me! Apparently this other lady phoned in her order, which was apparently screwed up when it was ordered, so more waiting in line while SAS girl tries to resolve the issue. If the young lady had acknowledged the people already waiting, 10 minutes and counting, like I'm sure she would want if she were a customer, all of us patient customers could've ordered, paid and been out of the way! SET UP A PHONE ORDER LINE AND STAFF IT PROPERLY, instead of making the waiting customers feel like they are second class customers whose business is not really desired. Good thing I have class, or like to think I do, otherwise I would've incited a riot in there! DON'T MESS WITH MY APPETITE, or my chicken Katsu! As for the food, had to try the chicken Katsu, of course. Was just okay. Didn't know what to expect, especially with the name of this place being a household one, but was expecting a bit better. Portion was on par with the other places around, with the exception of Zippy's, which apparently has their customer's weight in mind, both in their skimpy portions and their wallets! Back to Flamingo's... The wait was average, after the fiasco of waiting to have our orders taken, with the exception of the guy after me getting his meals (plural) before me. Maybe he ordered something already prepared, who knows! No flavor in the Katsu, like they just floured, egged, pankoed and fried. The sauce also appeared to be just ketchup and Worcestershire or steak sauce and nothing more to enhance the taste of this island favorite! What can I say? After all these years of walking by and meaning to try, next time, I'll keep walking by! Sorry, but not a fan.

Local plate lunch fare, fast and tasty! A tried and true, reliable place for good food, pies and breads.
