Exactly what Jody S. said. EXACTLY. And those soda crackers when you are too sick to keep anything else down (or in?) Even doctors recommend them. When my friends ask for Omiyage, they ask for those. When I asked a friend in TX. why she would want those of all things she answered, because you can't get them anywhere and there is no cracker that tastes like it. From Maryland to Hawaii, my friends all welcome a box of Diamond Bakery Soda Crackers. I prefer the cream crackers with butter instead of sugary cookies or chips. In the old days, my dad used to smear butter on the Saloon Pilots and crack them into his coffee. That was considered decadent since his military days weren't exactly highly financed. I tried it and don't care for it but if deprived of sweets and snacks of any kind, why they'd do in a pinch I guess. I also like the peanut butter, guava jelly on them as well as it is the perfect cracker to dip in potted meats and even pate. The taste is so neutral and yet, it has a slight floury, sweet flavor when eaten alone. I buy them by the box at Costco and I don't know how it happens, but it is always fresh if kept with the inner package closed. If you are making a big order, call them to see if they'll deliver They also pre-package cookies into little packages, perfect for lunchboxes and the product stays very fresh because the packaging is air tight.

Called to find out where to buy their sweet chili crackers that I bought at the recent "Made in Hawaii" Festival at the NBC Exhibition Hall. Just ran out and need more! Great crackers with the right amount of heat and so crispy! The operator was friendly and helpful and got back to me quickly with the stores that will carry that particular cracker! She even advised to call ahead before going to stores to make sure the crackers are in as they are going out this week! Great customer service!

Bag full of burnt cookies. Not sure how these are supposed to be fun? No good and no fun. 2 year old twins both agree. Yucky!

What food do I miss most from Hawaii? Saloon Pilot Crackers from Diamond Bakery. Four unsalted round, thick crackers in one package, four packages to a box. Great with soups (most soups are high in salt, no need to add a salt cracker), as a peanut butter or peanut butter and jam mini sandwich, a cheese sandwich (works best if the cheese is soft or melted a little), to serve spreads or just plain. The bakery also make the standard square crackers unsalted, salted and wholewheat but these crackers too are thicker than the mass produced kind. Then there are the graham crackers, cream crackers (sweet) and the cookies. Ono! So everyone once in a while, family send some to us and then we sometimes splurge and order crackers from the bakery online.

This company is fantastic. I would like to thank them for supporting my son's soccer team. I would so use this company all the time. Love the animal cracker, and all the other cookies. Cream crackers are my favorite especially with hot chocolate.

As a young child growing up I have fond memories of spending weekends at my grandparent's house and opening up their cupboards and finding a glass jar filed with Diamond Bakery products. Royal cremes, Soda Crackers, Saloon Pilot, etc. On special days my grandma would add peanut butter and jelly to the Saloon pilot crackers and we would scarf those bad boys down like there was no tomorrow. Flash forward to my first pregnancy when I couldn't eat ANYTHING for the first 4 months. It was the soda crackers that allowed me to survive and not go into starvation mode. Seriously it was the only thing that I could keep down. When my first child became around 2 it was the animal cookies and crackers that was truly her first adult snack...and continues to be to this day. I know if want to feed her a healthy snack at she wont balk at getting animal cookies in her lunch sack or on a road trip...it's yummy, kid friendly and a nice, healthy alternative to candy. With my second child I literally once again invested in more Diamond Bakery stock as I dined again for the first 4 months on their product line. Thank goodness for them, or I seriously wouldn't have known what to do! When I think of Diamond Bakery i think of them like a member of my family, having grown up with them from small-kid hanabata days time to my keiki now enjoying their products. I know for sure when I have grandchildren they will come running to look in my pantry for royal cremes and animal cookies after playtime!
