2 stars for the ziti and yummy garlic topping. so here's what happened. one of the employees wiped his nose with his gloved hand right before he prepared a special order! i was grossed out and wanted to tell the employee to change his glove and to tell the other customer to either ask for a refund of ask for a different batch of dough and cheese and pepperoni.

I absolutely love the food there. The stromboli is just awesome. And the staff is extremely friendly.

Located in downtown pearlridge (movie theater side) in the food court. They offer ready to eat pizza slices, pasta, salads and my all time favorite: Strombolis. There are a variety of pizzas including stuffed pizzas that look like an inside out pizza. There is also lasagna, spaghetti, sausages, tossed, caesar and pasta salads. I like the spinach and cheese Stromboli, which is basically a rectangle square of pizza bread with spinach and cheese baked inside. I order a side of marinara sauce to dip my Stromboli bits in and it is truly heavenly, especially when you're hungry and have been dreaming about biting into a gooey cheesy mess. Prices are not bad if you are ordering just a la carte. They get you when they ask if you want a side salad and drink, which somehow tacks on an extra three to four bucks or so onto the price of what you ordered. Staff is friendly. The manager is a 49ers fan and gets in a mood when they are losing a game which is pretty entertaining.

I was very disappointed again with the service or the lack of service I didn't receive today. Two workers standing in front of the food counter, and me standing in front of both workers telling one worker who had their head down (acting like he wished I would just go away) was playing with the pizza I asked a couple of times for a spinach Stromboli he clearly didn't look up and just continue playing with the pizza. So I look over to the other worker who was preparing someone else's order and he looked at the worker who was ignoring me--and didn't say a word. So instead of getting upset I left. Being at a food court they were a lot of other attentive workers eager to have my business. we live close to the mall and my family is busy so we normally come to the mall frequently just to eat dinner. I am very disappointed with this place. Sbarro's was not busy and the lack of service and bunch of product that needed to be sold made it clear that I might not be the only one feeling shunned or is eating elsewhere in the food court.

3.25.13 Not too shabby Sbarro. I am not usually a fan of this place and I was a bit skeptical about ordering from here tonight. I decided to go with the Baked Ziti (~$8)--def not as good or worth it as Catania's Penne Ricotta--but not bad for fast food. You have the choice of topping it with marinara sauce, no extra charge, and it also comes with a yummy garlic bread (super yum, very herby)! If you want meat with this, you can opt for either meatballs or chicken which ups the price to ~$10 (not worth it in my opinion...ok maybe the meatballs). As for taste...like I mentioned earlier I'm not really a fan of their food. To me the sauce(s) are always too acidic. But on a brighter note, this dish had PLENTY of cheese which I think saved it bc the noodles weren't that great quality either. Anyways, if I had to I think I would come here again...but only if I had to. Yelp 365 Challenge: #083/365

I eat here frequently when we go to the movies at the Pearl Ridge Shopping Center. It's conveniently next to the theaters. Whenever I'm feeling a craving for greasy pepperoni and lots of fattening cheese, I eat the pepperoni stromboli (how do you spell that?). It's sinfully delicious, but not good for you.

Ate here yesterday with my husband...food was good; until around 3:30 pm when my stomach started rumbling. My husbands started to do the same later on...we both got food poisoning from what I assume is the Cesar salad since that's the only common factor in our lunch yesterday.

Me and my Family came here for lunch today, we ordered a combo (baked ziti, garden salad, garlic bread and a large soda) felt bad cuz they don't carry white sauce like the one in the Philippines, and pasta kinda over cooked or soggy. Maybe next time will order pizza instead of pasta.

Pretty good food most of the time. Their baked ziti is decent but it's heavy..I mean, you could anchor a boat with this stuff. The breadsticks don't have a whole lot of flavor. I'm a huge fan of their pasta salad; good flavor without being too 'oily' as a lot of other pasta salads tend to be. Probably the best thing on their menu is the roasted red potatoes. If you have not tried them, DO IT NOW!!! Lol..no kidding; they are wonderful. They have excellent flavor to them. Their pizza is pretty good; not the best I've ever had but it's decent. The prices are kind of high for it being mall fast food but hey, this is Hawaii. What ISN'T overpriced here? My only complaint is the customer service. We were there two weeks ago and there was nobody else in line...just us. We stood there waiting for more than 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us and there were 6 people working that we could see. Why the wait? Come on now. All in all, it's a good place to eat if you're shopping in Pearlridge Mall. It's normally not that busy unless you go late on a weekday or on the weekends. We always try to hit the mall between opening and 3 pm on weekdays so there's not as many people.

Pretty good place to pick up fast food italian. I didn't know about the combo deal till my family took me here. I got a pepperoni slice and baked ziti pasta side with drink. Payed for 2 combo meals under $20 and got so much food. Pretty good deal. Definitely will stop here next time we come to the area.

Excellent food all the time; everything is hot and fresh. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey for mall food but still...if you don't mind spending a little bit more, the food is good.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
