definitely recommend this place. Way better than Genki or Kuru Kuru. i think this is a family owned business. the old Korean lady is very nice . If you go there often enough, she starts recognizing you. the tiger maki, and superman rolls are my favorite and its at a decent price. there's always lunch specials. quality of the sushi is always fresh. writing this review is making me hungry right now. i think i might go get some sushi. Hit this place up.

Great sushi! Always yummy and filling. Never really crowded, so me and my friends usually hang out here for hours. The workers are polite too! Come here all the time and drive from Honolulu to here just for the sushi. Crab Salad is my favorite! And the T-Dragon is good too.

I am a fan of Ninja Sushi, but each location is run differently. What you might find at one, you might not find at another. Oh, and be warned...if you like a particular kind of roll at one location, it might not taste the same at another. This place doesn't offer the freshest high quality sushi that some might want, but it's affordable and still tasty (in my opinion). My usual order from Ninja Sushi would be the Superman (a spicy ahi roll, topped with fresh ahi, yummy crispies, green onions, and unagi sauce). However, on this particular visit, I thought I would change it up a bit. I tried the Tiger Roll (shrimp tempura and crab inside the roll and topped with spicy ahi). While the Tiger Roll was decent, I think I will stick to my Superman from now on. They never let me down with the Superman. The menu is plentiful, so if you've never been here before, it may take you some time to figure out what you want. There's a separate menu on the side that explains what is in each type of roll. This location is special in that they have big plastic cups (so big that the straw doesn't even stick out from it) on the side that you can fill with water from the fountain drinks machine. Also, there is a hot tea machine that you can frequent as often as you'd like. Customer service was pretty good. They welcome you when you come in, bring the food to you when it's ready, and say goodbye when you leave. You can leave your dishes on the table and they will clean it up for you.

The Horror, the horror! Been here twice now because I was in the area and needed sushi quick. The interior needs to be pressure washed because there's a greasy film on every surface from floor to ceiling. There has got to be a roach and rat problem. When my garlic salmon nigiri arrived it was absolutely drenched in mayo. I got up and left my food untouched and walked out never to set foot in there again.

Love love love this place. The owner is a very nice lady, they give free tea and have excellent quality and very large sushi. It's like going to a friend's house to have sushi. Friendly staff and quality food. I'm so glad I live right next it :-)

Mmm Shogun is always good... This family that runs it are nice people. There are so many choices in the are, but Ninja had a good variety if your in the mood for sushi. makino Chaya may be in the area... But they haven't been good for awhile.

If you're in the mood for QUICK and FRESH sushi, here you go. It's not fancy at all. There's no ambiance for a date night. It's just a casual, get your food and go kinda place... Which sometimes comes in really handy...

Great Place for quick Sushi! The "Superman Roll" is by far the best choice on the menu!! Mrs. Nam, the owner couldn't be sweeter! Check this place out if you haven't already!

Yum. Always great food and service. Sushi is good and so is the Kalbi, Curry and everything else that I have tried here. Lion maki and dragon rolls are tasty.

My favorite Ninja Sushi location. Delicious Dragon Roll, Volcano Roll, and and Softshell Crab Roll! Spicy Udon is a nice addition to your meal, especially if you want piping hot broth with a kick! Great customer service, and yummy food.

Ok, I love sushi...quality sushi. This place is excellent for those sudden cravings and you don't want to spend a ton. I've been trying to cut out a lot of land-protein so I've been turning to sushi on those days I don't have time to cook salmon or anything else. Ninja sushi provides high-quality TAKE-OUT sushi, and for that I am a fan.

As far as the lunch-break sushi joints go, this one's a keeper. A nice touch is the atmosphere, but they have a few pieces of art worth trying. If it's your first visit, try the Lion, Tiger, or Superman. A little on the sweet side but no shoyu required. It's a great alternative to Genki but not a replacement for any reputable sushi bar. There's also a slightly Korean touch to the menu (and the ownership) so you'll find some variety.

You guys have to go to the Ninja in Aiea, it's awesome! I've spent several hundred dollars here over the past year and a half and it's definitely the best sushi in Aiea and one of the top choices overall for dining...AND it's pretty darn cheap if you're comparing it to restaurants! If you don't feel like sushi you can get one of a few donburis (the curry and kalbi kimchee ones are my faves), soups or salads. The sushi rolls are HUGE and I've always been very pleased with the quality of the fish. The staff here is always really nice and the main lady that works there (middle-aged Korean) is very nice, knows all my family's names, and throws in free stuff pretty often.

I love Ninja Sushi, but its a little pricey. We just need to stop going there for lunch because we feel so guilty when we spend $25 on lunch. I don't know why but it makes me feel a lot better when its spent on dinner for two people than on lunch. There is no lunch menu or anything but we just happen to roll in there for lunch. Anyway, I love the spicy ahi and ahi poke combo bento box. Anything that has shoyu or some kind of sauce seems to be loaded on the food which makes is almost inedible. I had the Superman maki today and it was really good, well at least the pieces that I could soak up the sweet sauce that the sushi was drenched in with a napkin. The shoyu ahi had way too much shoyu for my taste and the rice was like floating in it.

All of the current reviews are probably written by the owners friends because Ninja Sushi is not good on Kaonohi St. It's a typical corporate restaurant chain serving sushi. Yeah, I guess if you like fast food sushi this is the place to go but quality is not their priority. I ordered the spicy ahi nigiri sushi and the fish was still partially frozen. Also, there was no spicy and more mayo than necessary. I also ordered the tofu salad and the lettuce was brown.

Just finished shopping at pearl ridge and wanted to get some sushi for a light dinner. Nothing looked interesting at the food court so figured I check out Ninja sushi, stuck in my mind cuz passed by it before I went to pearlridge phase 1. Located at westridge shopping center, right accross the mall, bed bath and beyond, right below Tony Roma's. plenty of parking but it's late afternoon, after work, on a weekday. Been to other restaurants there and when they get busy, parking is a pain. Cute little sushi restaurant. Decor is colorful and modern. Was empty and I was the only one there, like I said it was right after work so this is the slow time. I was greeted promptly as I walked in. Clean and organized. Did not see anything out of order. They had K-pop music playing in the background, wish I could understand cuz it was in Korean. Didn't bother me cuz music was nice. The menu is vast, very hard to choose. They sell bentos, and tea drinks too. They had signs all over the place for a new sushi, the green dragon. So of course I ordered it and kalbi with chicken bento. The sushi did not disappoint! Was tasty good. The flavors really meshed, this is a winnah. Their Bento was huge with sushi on side. You can see the quality of the food and how it was presented. Was very neat and not at all sloppy. Affordable prices, was all below 10.00. They sell platters for parties which is good because I have parties for days. Coming back soon. Already thinking what I'm ordering next visit

I usually LOVE ninja sushi. Many times when I want sushi, I want it to satisfy a craving now. No, I do not want to wait 45 minutes for a spot, then another 20 minutes for my fave pieces to come around the sushi boat, praying the jerk face in front of me doesn't grab it. In fact, just give me the damn fish and a bowl of rice and get out of my face. This is exactly why ninja sushi works for me. It satisfies the craving. It is not the best damn fish I've had on the island, but I don't get sick. However, I get nervous when the spicy ahi looks tan instead of pink. This is because of the engorged amount of mayo mixed into the LEETLE tiny pieces of fish. I mean really? Just call it fish mayo. I have not had this problem at other ninja sushi's on the island. I think I'll order out from kuru kuru from now on. Oh and the free "tea?" tastes more like miso than tea. Stick to free water. Don't mind the bags of trash by the door. They are just trying to recycle :)

Not good. My California roll didn't have avocado in it and something tasted off like it was rotten--I couldn't eat it and when the counter lady began the process of putting my sushi rolls in a plastic bag....she licked her fingers. GROSS!!!!

I decided to give this place another try after reading all the positive reviews and thinking that perhaps I just caught this place on an off day. Today I tried the Rainbow Maki which was okay nothing special and then the Ahi Lover. The spicy ahi pieces were fine, but the pieces of ahi were simply inedible. I am sadly crossing this place off my list.

I was never ever a fan of sushi. I use to avoid every sushi spot. But this place- has won every piece of my heart. Just recently, I was craving sushi (which never happens to me). My other half decided to take me to this particular location. This place has lots of space. The seats here make my butt sore sometimes I wish it was cushioned. Anyways, I liked how you could help yourself to some hot tea and some water. There are pictures of different types of sushi from the moment you walk through the door until you get to the counter. Choosing which type of sushi to eat is always the hard part. Let me tell you tho, their Tiger Maki looks just as good as it tastes. I absolutely L-O-V-E it! I also love their Spicy Ahi Inari. It is full of flavor that I always somehow end up getting a major foodgasm. I always seem to want more after having just one. The people that work here are very nice, especially that one older lady (I can't remember her name)! Their prices are pretty good. Affordable. The wait time really depends on how many people are in line. Probably BEST to make a phone order. This place is the reason why I love Sushi! So I thank them for that! 5 stars for you!

I was looking for a place to grab a lunch on my lunch break so I tried Ninja Sushi for the first time. I usually go to Kuru Kuru sushi to get my sushi fix. My co-worker told me that she always go there and finally l gave it a try. So I called and ordered Tornado and Volcano(take out) and came up to $18 it's a bit pricey but the portion of the sushi is really huge so I was very full. (8 pieces per roll). The only thing that I didn't like is when I got there nobody greeted me and 3 of them were just talking in the back. I guess they need to work on customer service a little bit. The sushi was very tasty I probably come back again.

Tonight was my first time eating at Ninja Sushi and it will be my last. Not saying that it sucks here but I would rather spend my $$$ somewhere that doesn't drench their sushi with a butt load of this sweet sauce... I don't know what it was but I was not a big fan of it. Also, their spicy udon is basically their miso soup with a squeeze of Sriracha sauce.

We bring anyone "looking for a good sushi spot" here and always swing by when we want a bite of something quick. The owner is the sweetest Japan lady and has always remembered us. For two rolls it's about $17! And the rolls are bigger then any expensive place you will eat at. We will always come here!

Whenever I'm around the area and craving sushi, it's either Kuru Kuru (if not busy), or Ninja. The service is good and it's nice to be able to seat yourself and not have to worry about rushing, because it is usually empty. I usually get the Tiger or Superman Maki. The sushi is good, and filling. Sometimes I feel there's a little too much rice, which is why I can never finish it. But nonetheless satisfying. You can also grab hot tea on the side. Hot tea and sushi is key. It's not my favorite place for sushi, but if I am in the area craving sushi, I will stop by again.

This place is a good fast-food sushi place. You're not going to get gourmet sushi. Instead you're going to get quickly slapped together sushi. Some outrageous maki types they sell (like the dynamite, dragon, etc.) are rather large and unwieldy - they fall apart when you eat them. But they do taste good.

I absolutely love this place. I either always order the shrimp tempura rolls or the volcano. Its always right everytime. I will be a customer for life! :)

On a recent lazy Sunday, I texted one of my hiking amigos whom I hadn't seen in a long while. As a veg*n, I'm more selective in dining choices. My amigo left the choice of restaurant to me; he said he eats anything, just allergic to traffic (ha!). So Aiea it is where he meets no traffic. Since one of my favorite sushi spots (Sushi Spot) is not open Sunday, I researched other sushi spots in the area. Ninja Sushi came up in my search. I recently fell in love with the Ward Center location, so I was curious about this location. The menu looks similar (maybe the same?) to the Ward location. For Sunday lunchtime, there was plenty of parking outside and plenty of available seating inside. There are quite a few veggie options, but I stuck to my previous selections of vegetable tempura roll (without the seafood) and the natto roll (oh stinky socks! protein please!). The two rolls were very filling, probably overly so for just little me. Good place for lunch and conversation! I will be back!

Its quite possible that this place is called Ninja Sushi because the amount of food that you get just sneaks up on you. We ordered the scallop dynamite sushi roll and were struck with joy and awe of its beauty, size, and , of course, taste. We also ordered the mixed chirashi, the chicken curry, and the pork shumai. They forgot the pork shumai and we got our money back but to be quite honest the rest of the items were enough to satisfy our palates. There were 4 people in line with large orders before us and there were only 2 people working that day. While we did have to wait, it wasnt an unreasonable amount of time.

Great for reasonably priced sushi at takeout quality. The owner is super nice and always treats us like family. I love the tiger, dragon, and superman rolls. Also try the spicy ahi donburi (basically a chopped negi ahi over rice). The portions here are larger than at other ninja sushi locations. Unlike other locations, they also offer hot tea--it is a blend of barley and roasted corn tea that you find in Korean restaurants. No caffeine, so drink up! We try and drop by whenever we drive out to Pearlridge area.

Oh my. What happened here? The service is fine, but the food was so bad. My mom (who normally eats just about anything) couldn't even finish her lunch. It was NOT good. I'm sorry - I used to be a fan, but I won't be coming back. There's a disconnect here - no one seems to care about the quality of the food.

I thought I'd start my return on Yelp with a place I absolutely, positively LOVE. Hands down, this is the BEST Ninja Sushi you'll ever encounter. All, right so I might be just a little biased since I am a regular and get VIP treatment (hehe), but even if I wasn't, I'd love them no less. While I was pregnant, I came every Saturday after I finished work. Same order, same time. A Spicy Ahi Donburi for the bf, and a Tempura Maki (shrimp tempura, imitation crab, and cucumber) with unagi sauce on the side for myself, sometimes a Kal-bi Handroll. Two times, and I became a regular. When I could eat raw fish frequently again, my sister told me to get the Tiger Maki, which is the Tempura Maki, with their spicy ahi on the top. I met a friend for lunch here recently, and she got the Superman, which is currently my favorite. A spicy ahi roll, topped with fresh ahi, potato crispies, green onion, and unagi sauce... SO good! And how can you not love something named Superman?! You know it's gotta be awesome! You could probably point to anything on the menu and it will be totemo oishii desu (very delicious). I normally don't get nigiri here, but the three pieces you get will definitely be loaded. The picture of the garlic salmon was calling me, and it's like Genki's Onion Salmon (one of my faves), but with a garlic and unagi sauce. (Note: Unagi sauce is quite prevalent in many of their items, so if you don't like it, just ask for none!) My bf's sister turned me onto the Ebi Tempura Nigiri, fried shrimp tempura topped with unagi sauce (see, told you), wrapped with a thin piece of nori. I'm also a fan of their Ahi Poke, made to order and NO limu! (Blech, I hate limu!) With an extensive menu featuring Nigiri, Temaki, Donburi, Makizushi, Udon, Salad, and Combination Bento, you're sure to find something to please even the pickiest eater.

Finally got here....I have a couple of certificates that I received as a gift and wanted to try the place.....ummmmm, I have not idea how they got 4 stars! I had the shrimp tempura nigiri, the scallop mayo and miso soup.....the shrimp were really small and flat and fried to a crisp....the scallop mayo was drenched in mayo (ughhhh) and not very good mayo at that!....I couldn't even finish the miso soup...it had a bleach smell/taste.... Sorry for the very sad review, but I don't think I'll be going back there again......

Me and my wife loved coming here when we were dating and haven't been here for a couple of years since we moved further away. But this place has gone down hill. Not a pleasant experience this time around. I had ordered some tako nigiri, and it was served frozen. The rice on all the dishes ordered was hard and crumbly. the only bonus was the free hot tea lol

Skimpy fish portions. Way too much rice for so little fish. No apology when I showed them. They say this is normal. I posted a picture to show that the roll was over 80% rice with a smear of spicy ahi in the middle and a few shreds of cucumber. I rarely send anything back or complain but this was too much. I asked her to come over and asked if there was always that small of a portion inside the roll. She looked slightly irritated and didn't say anything. I asked again, as nicely as I could. Nothing. I asked her again if that was normal and she said yes, it was fine. Then I told her that it is not normal or fine and that I've never seen a roll with that little inside and SO MUCH rice around it. I also said that people will not come back to portions like this. She then walked over to the young man sitting on a side table prepping some seaweed and spoke to him in length in Korean. I asked him if he wanted to see what I was talking about and he ignored me completely. That might sound harsh but those are the kinds of things that cause businesses to shut down. I then realized why it was 4:30 in the afternoon near Pearlridge and we were the only customers. The location is great and the food tasted good. There should've been more people. I must be the last to know to avoid this place. I think I was also frustrated that I tipped her in advance which amounts to me tipping someone for being rude to me. I also was surprised that the portions were small because she was trying to upsell me on all kinds of salmon rolls when we first walked in telling me how big the slices are and good portions. Really? Was I being punished for not ordering the salmon? In any case, I didn't get an apology or explanation and my concern was ignored entirely. There are plenty of places to get sushi. If people are sheisty like that, I don't trust that the quality of their food handling behind the scenes is any better. If you lack integrity or ethics in one area, you probably lack in other areas.

Ninja sushi doesn't pull any punches. There is no pretence in this neighbourhood gem. The superman roll is a complete meal for one. The ratio of rice to fish is nearly perfect; and, the sauce is used sparingly in order to complete the meal. If tuna is what you crave, Ninja Sushi delivers. Fresh, clean, and fast. This is an excellent take-out spot. Grab a bottle of sake and take a break from cooking.

You know I have been coming here for years. The only reason I come here is because it's within a mile of my house. Every time I have been at this place the customer service has sucked. Maybe its me but the people who always serve me barely speak english and they are very curt with me when they took my order. Whenever I get my sushi its usually good. The rice is fresh, the sea weed good and the fish is fresh whenever I recieve my food. I like the sushi here but the customer service here is horrible!!! Thats why I don't go there alot anymore. Now that I have a car I'm totally okay with driving to Kuro Kuro or Genki because they are alot nicer there!

Today at Ninja Sushi, I experienced a uniquely Yelp situation. As our sushi rolls were served, I was taking pictures of them (as I do) and one of my dining partners explained to the server, "You're going to wind up on Yelp later." I was mortified! I gave my friend stink-eye and told him, "You shouldn't have said that. It may affect the service we receive." Did it? I don't know. But just a few minutes later the server came back by and asked, "Do any of you need anything?" At this, I gave my overly enthusiastic friend a knowing glance and he looked downward in shame. Ninja Sushi makes some pretty spectacular sushi rolls. One roll is big enough to make a meal for most people. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Unlike the Ninja Sushi by the Airport, getting a lunchtime table at this one rarely seems to be a challenge. That is in part because the dining room is bigger and in part due to fewer diners. On paper Ninja Sushi looks great. I cannot quite put my finger on why I do not get excited about eating there. Maybe it's that I like to mix up my sushi selections, and at Ninja Sushi I always get one roll as my entire meal. Doing this provides me with a big enough meal but not enough variety, I think.

I used to love coming to Ninja Sushi for dinner with my sister back in 2007! I would always get the spicy ahi bento! I love the sauce that they drizzle over the spicy ahi. It is what makes their spicy ahi so unique compared to other places. So I feel extremely bad for the review I'm about to write... (This review is solely for today's visit) I stopped by Ninja Sushi after being starved for 5 hours so by the time I got there, I just wanted to order anything and get food in my tummy. I ended up ordering the Spicy Ahi donburi for $8.99 which I really ended up regretting!!! The donburi was a regular sized donburi with A LOT of rice and barely any spicy ahi. It was the thinest layer of spicy ahi I've ever seen in a donburi. I was pretty much done with the entire donburi in five bites with a whole lotta rice left :( I went home still hungry and ended up eating instant ramen. I usually like Ninja Sushi but I don't think I'll be coming back for awhile.

Very nice, clean, well-run family establishment. Fresh ingredients, no MSG a big plus. This is an order and pay at the counter type of place, then pick up your food from the counter when it's ready. You get a lot for your money. I couldn't finish two rolls for dinner (dragon roll and osaka roll). My only complaint is there's no description of what's in their rolls (just pictures), so you have to ask what's in each one. Ninja Sushi was A-OK. I will go back here again.

I love their sushi! They are delicious =] I swear their quality of ingredients are much higher than most sushi places out there! I personally like their tiger maki =] definitely go here over kozo or aloha~ although it is a little more money you gotta spend. Definitely try them out!

Wow this Ninja Sushi takes me down a trip on memory lane. I remember when it first opened it was a conveyor belt style sushi joint. They closed it down for a bit to renovate into what it is today: just a simple table and chairs establishment. Either way, it tastes the same and I'm all for that. As you can tell, I've been coming here for years and years. Their sushi is always consistent in taste and they're also consistent in service. The same lady greets you with a smile and a hello and while it may be hard to understand her sometimes, she always gets her message across. So what does a Ninja Sushi veteran order when he goes in? I used to always get the kalbi kim chee roll. Now I'm a huge fan of the superman roll and the tiger maki. My default go to sushi fix is now the spicy ahi bento. For $8 you get a lot of rice topped with spicy ahi, one cone sushi, two cali roll slices, veggies, and the following nigiri: ahi, tamago, ebi. This is all but guaranteed to fill you up. There's plenty of parking outside the restaurant and while you're at it you can stop in at Toys N Joys or grab a Slurpee from 7-Eleven.

I read all the hype for this place but it fell short to what I read from you yelpers. I was a little bummed out because my favorite sushi spot in Aiea is close because of a family trip. It was just one of those days where I was just wondering around and thinking of where to eat and what to try. I should have known that this wasn't the place for me when I walked in and there was no one there. But the braveness came out of me and that didn't bother me. The place is very open and a big space for a sushi spot, they have make booths and regular tables with chairs. The place is very bright, the windows brings lots of sun into the place. Very clean and would definitely eat inside rather than do take-out. Aside from the emptiness there were no empty hellos here! The owner/manager was very nice when I walked in she greeted me from the register and was very easy to talk to. I looked through the menu and I know its a sushi spot but I did the unthinkable... order a bento! Ha yes no sushi for me, well I did but no nori for me! I ordered the mixed plate where you choose from different types of "meat", I choose unagi and some spicy tuna. The ungai portion was big but it was cold, and the spicy tuna was just a disappointment! It was like eating canned tuna tossed around some spicy asian sauce, it was just weak! I should have known better than to just stick to the sushi! Hopefully next time I will listen to my instincts and just be a follower :0

My top spot for take-out sushi~ I'm not into spicy foods so let me tell you that their spicy ahi isn't really spicy at all. But that doesn't mean it isn't delicious!! I love thier spicy ahi combo bento and the lady is always kind enough to switch the set nigiri to salmon nigiri in the combo. Their lion maki is my favorite, which is a cali maki topped with salmon sashimi and fried shreds of potatoes.

It was a good lunch. The food was good and fresh. Love the hot tea...the price is alright. Not expensive for hawaii. I took off one point cuz they ran out of miso soup and mochi ice cream... And its only lunch time, and they dont look that busy... I doubt they even make it. =/ overall, its a good place to grab a quick lunch or dinner with friends. I would come back again but hopefully they will have miso soup and ice cream for me. ^^

It's so weird that others are complaining about the service, I actually thought the service was really nice. I think the daughter of the owners was working because the "chef" came out and her daughter served her miso soup. I thought it was cute! Anyhow, the portions are generous but I thought the salmon was a little unfresh even for ninja sushi... Also, when we orders soda they gave a regular cup, but I finish my sushi in like no time and had more than half my drink left. Maybe I should've asked if they had a take out cup but so humbug just for half the soda. One thing that kind of makes me think is that my husband got sick like five minutes into eating there. I thought that he must've been sick from before and he did say he wasn't feeling all that great it just hit him bad after he had something else in his stomach, but seeing as some other people were sick.. I dunno. The sushi wasnt super fresh when we ate it so when I attempted to finish it a few hours later it was phew, pretty bad, I had to throw the rest out! I ate the sushi too and didn't get sick, so three stars just because the sushi tastes kind of unfresh and the lack of paper soda cups!

WARNING: DON'T EAT AT THIS NINJA SUSHI LOCATION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SICK!!! On Saturday night my husband and I went to this location for the first time (and last time) since the location we normally go to off of Paiea was closed for the night. Came here after a morning of walking around the swap meet. It was 11 and the place was completely empty on a Saturday. Where was everybody?! were we just the early lunch crowd? Anyway, i wasnt too hungry after doing some snacking at the swap meet so I just got something small, the junior teriyaki chicken. There were so many things I wanted to try though because their pictures on the menu looked really good. Everyone else ordered their usual as it was only my first time there. It was quite a long wait seeing as though we were the only customers but I think its because there were only 2 other people working. Any who, they brought all the sushi items first and I got to sample my auntie's superman maki ($8.50 + tax) and boy was that thing amazing...i think its spicy tuna in the middle with a slice of tuna on top. As for my dish, it came last and when everyone else was almost done. I was a little surprised because the chicken came out fried when i was expecting it to be like grilled teriyaki chicken, instead it tasted like mochiko chicken with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce. It was pretty good but not what I wanted. It came atop some rice and with 3 pieces of cucumber and 3 pieces of shinko maki that was eh for $5.75+ tax. Other items ordered was the kalbi kimchee maki which they said you couldnt even taste the kimchee. Someone ordered the futo maki/inari combo and she said she had better. Another got the spicy tuna set and he seemed to like that. Overall, the superman maki was my fav and i'd like to try other menu items as they all looked good.

If you're in the mood for QUICK and FRESH sushi, here you go. It's not fancy at all. There's no ambiance for a date night. It's just a casual, get your food and go kinda place... Which sometimes comes in really handy...

definitely recommend this place.

Came in on Easter Sunday, and walked into an empty restaurant. Now, I understand that places cater and prepare foods during most of the day for Easter, but that's no excuse to neglect a paying customer (who still tipped). Ordered my usual from Ninja Sushi to-go and expected the same kind of service as the other locations I frequent in town. First off, the shopkeeper didn't greet me. Instead of recognizing that I was ready to give her my order, she continued to still pack up a catering order that no one was physically present waiting for. Then after cashing me out, went to the back and disappeared for 20 minutes to, I guess, continue prepping the other orders. My sushi was finally ready in the window to be packaged, but just sat there for another 5 more minutes before being put in a bag. At the moment, 2 employees walked in and she acknowledged them but didn't care to say bye to me or say thank you for waiting. I took my food and left. WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN. Need to work on their customer service, they realize they're in the restaurant business right?! People come for the food, but also come back for the great service, and they LACKED in that. The sushi itself was OKAY. Like I said, I ordered my "usual" and I've had it better at other Ninja Sushi locations.

And its only lunch time, and they dont look that busy... I doubt they even make it. =/ overall, its a good place to grab a quick lunch or dinner with friends. I would come back again but hopefully they will have miso soup and ice cream for me. ^^

When I have friends who aren't sure about if they like sushi, I don't wanna go to a nice place where they will dump 15 bucks on a roll or two of fishiness their stomach will reject. I decide to ease them into sushi the slow way... Ninja Sushi is a good beginner sushi place. Their variety is okay, the portions are okay for the amount you pay, the quality and freshness is just OK, everything about this place is average in a way I do not reject. I usually have a sweet tooth when I go out for sushi, so I get Unagi (eel) based rolls/bowls. A secret roll that they have that's really good at this location is the SUPERMAN roll. It's a little spicy, and delicious! I've tried 3 different Ninja Sushi locations and this one is, by far, the best! Ninja Sushi, I do love your cute name and ninja graphics!

This is my go to sushi place on the go. It's located on the bottom floor of Westridge where the florist used to be located. You can dine in, they have tables and booths with hot tea. I believe when they originally opened it was a conveyer belt eat in type of sushi place like Genki but quickly converted to take out it dine in sushi to order. It is a very spacious and clean place. The owner is an older korean lady whose very nice. I've been coming here almost once a week for the last fee months and the lady recognized me tonight and guessed my order. Most of the time I get the udon combo bento so I get a little of everything. She's very friendly. Very yummy sushi. They have unique rolls like the lion maki or tiger maki which is a must try. Kids sets are cute and good for a snack for even adults! The spam musubi one is my favorite. I am a bit sad, they discontinued the tobiko temaki hand roll but they will still make it for you. They are always trying out new menu items. They sell Bubbies mochi ice cream too. Friendly service and great sushi. What more can you ask for? Maybe cheaper prices? But depending what you order, it can be cheap or expensive. The customer service and quality is excellent which is what brings me back here. ^_^*~

This place isn't bad. its not the freshest or the best quality fish but its pretty substantial when you're hungry. I usually choose to get 2 rolls for myself or 3 rolls if I'm with one other person and we usually end up pretty full. All the rolls are pretty good but i would say to watch out for some if u don't like a lot of sauce because some may pack more sweet sauce than others. i haven't really tried any other item besides the rolls, tako yaki or s few other nigiri items, but the rolls are what make it worth eating at Ninja Sushi

Out of all the Ninja Sushi's I've been to, their spicy ahi is bomb! Loads of flavor, and actually spicy. Lol. I hate getting Spicy Ahi from any place and it isn't hot. But here, they do it right!

    (1)
  • Chris M.

Good service. The ladies that work there are very nice. Some the items that I love there is the superman maki, spicy ahi bento or even the spicy ahi salad. If you dine in they offer free hot green tea which taste good.

The rice wasnt seasoned, the chicken was greasy instead of crispy, and the kalbi had little to no sauce on it. This is the worst Ninja Sushi of them all, go to Waipio or Mililani instead! The quality of the food is not up to par at this location.

On Sunday morning I woke up with stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea... My symptoms lasted all day...Sorry if it's TMI. I'm assuming the raw ahi in the Superman was bad since my husband had cooked sushi and didn't get sick. I just want to give everyone a heads up so no one else gets sick. It was a horrible feeling!!! Luckily... My husband went back to this location extremely upset and was able to get us a complete refund to compensate for how sickly I was. We will definitely not be going to this location ever again!!!

My wife suggested this place and was raving about something called a Superman maki. I was a bit skeptical about coming but now that I've tried it I see why the hype is about. The karaage chicken is excellent and as anticipated the superman was the shizz. It is a bit pricey but I feel for the quality and taste, it's worth it. Definitely coming back again soon. Went here about 8pm on a Monday night. No customers. Fellow in the kitchen was asking if they could close. Quality was okay. A little bit better than Genki. Portions and prices were comparable with Genki. Kuru Kuru Sushi down the road blows 'em away, though.

Excellent service, food looks exactly like the picture, everything tastes great, and the employees remember their customers. The only thing you can ask for is more recognition for being the best sushi place in Aiea.

This place is unique and very tasty. The menu is fresh with weekly specials. You got an iron chef back there. Try the superman or a bento box. You won't be disappointed.
