Ok I don't know if there is some kind of zoning &/or licensing issue going on in the ATL, but since last fall all these so called "sports bars" have been opening up when in fact they are just dance clubs. This place is really easy to get to ( but is. Long drive if you live on the West side) as you just take I-285 to LaVista Rd & get off going East & then turn South (that means right) at the first traffic light. I was there on the Sunday before Memorial Day so the parking lot was full. A security guard directed us across the street My first clue as to what lay inside was that we had to be searched to enter. Now I'm 45 so the places I goto typically have age restrictions but no pat downs. Got inside & saw the real deal. The layout is two wings on either side if the huge dance floor which is dead center in the building. The dancing area is flanked by several floor to ceiling pillars which I suppose are there for ambience but mostly they just get in the way. Now I heard about this place on one of the grown & sexy stations here in the ATL (107.5/95.5) & in fact, they were doing a live broadcast. The music I heard on the radio as I drove there helped paint a mental picture. Mostly mid 80's dance tunes mixed together with old-school Hip Hop ( read old Run DMC & the like). Naturally I expected the crowd to follow. Boy I could not have been more wrong. Basically this is the Wacka-Flaka set. Guys in 4 foot long shorts & white t-shirts & the women dressed like video vixens. I saw a few women over 40 but only one other man in my age group. Most of the women were 35 & under & all the guys seemed to be about 27. For me it was really killing my vibe & while I was there the radio station DJ had the nerve to play some RollsRoyce! Now there is a VIP section & they had food but I did not get any. The drinks were ok if a little pricey. I was there about 2 hours & the music was consistent throughout but the soundtrack just did not match the visuals. To sum up a bit of false advertising led to a disappointing evening. Maybe for the 30 & under crowd, this is a good place, but it just was not for me.

I visited last Saturday with a few friends. We parked and entered rather quicly. I believe ladies were free all night long. When we entered my first thought was this place is a lot nicer than expected. I forgot this used to be an Olive Garden lol. We headed straight to the patio for drinks and later went inside. Let's get to it: Parking: Parking was free in the lot or across the street, they have valet for $10. The crowd was made up of late 20s early 30s men and women who actually like to dance, this is rare in Atlanta. Music: The DJ had a good mix of old school and new school hits; line dances such as the Wobble, Cupid Shuffle, Love Slide etc were in full effect. Drinks: Plenty of bars, waitresses, and drink specials like $5 Blue MF's, Green MF's, Long Island, Sex on the Beach, Draft Beers etc. Food: Didn't eat but the best sellers appear to be the wings. Overall this is a nice spot if you don't want to be bothered with the club or want to meet for drinks and wings.

I wanted to wait until I had been to Major league a few times before reviewing it. From the outside it looks like just a restaurant, but it's nice on the inside. There's free parking across the street in the Picadilly or O'Charley's lots. I guess where depends on the night. There is also valet and parking in front of the building. The interior is a nice layout. There's a lot of seating and three different bars with a nice sized dance floor. On Saturday nights there isn't a cover. Depending on the time you go, there may be a line. I've noticed recently that there was a vip line for $20 also. They have drink specials, who doesn't like a $5 drink that is pretty good? The DJs have been somewhat hit or miss. But you'll definitely new and old school ( 90s and 2000s) hip hop. Major league is a good place to go for a birthday or if you don't want to travel to midtown.

Hello all! I had my birthday party here on a Saturday night. I got a VIP section for 100$, which was a great and spontaneous purchase. VIP is only 100$ before 10pm. I had a great time. The 5 dollar drinks were big and strong! Oh yeah! The food was great! The reason for the missing star is because the dj was playing old music from 2004-2009 and then he played a song I never even heard of. Smh. The place was packed though and fun if you drink 2 or more of the 5$ drinks. Oh and the security guards are ass holes to men so be aware of the dress code and other BS.

This place has been through many different owners and is sometimes closed on weekend nights (which I find strange), but the inside is very nice! This is a nice atmosphere for a birthday party as it has a nice dance floor and plenty of seating. The food is decent, DJ was consistent on a Fri night, drinks strong and they sometimes have drink specials ...what more can you ask for? I will say that they were charging $10 to get in on a Friday night, while this was cheap in comparison to clubs, this is a "sports bar" so I feel as if there shouldn't be cover, especially when there aren't that many ppl in there...As for ppl saying this place was "hood," well...I could see where some individuals had shirts past their knees or full good grills, but the establishment in itself is not and they have security

I agree with Lynne F. The atmosphere is nice. We went there for a birthday party which I think is a great place to host a party. You just need to reserve as many booths in advance and go and pick out the ones you want because it can get tight in the in those corners if you have a large party. The dance floor is nice and the music was nice. I feel someone in there 30's to early 40's would enjoy this place.

I visited on 9/20/13 for a girls night out. The waitress took forever to return to the table. I didn't realize until the next day that the waitress failed to return my debit card. I got a call from my bank's fraud department who alerted me to fraudlent activity on my card. Whoever she gave the card to used it again at Major League and the went on a spending spreed. Although I will be reimbursed this has taught me to use CASH only at shady places like this. I am totally pissed. Would have given them NO STARS but it was the only way to write this review to let you know to be carefully of SHADY CHARACTERS!!!
