I really want to love this place but on the occasions we have gone something has always been wrong or funky. The service was great the first time but the second and third time is was spotty at best. As mentioned in other reviews they are often out of ingredients. In my case that made me change my order and I wound up with an uninspired sandwich. I probably will go back at some point just because it is so close .....

Service is good. Booze is good. Food was so so. Air conditioning is not working well on a 101 degree day in the ATL.

Okay, good things first: The Soda Pop Cocktails (specifically the Creamfizzle). I can't stay away. They're a little expensive for my budget, but I indulge myself every time because they are. that. good. Hello Cornhole! Now that the weather is finally perking up all I want to do is be outside. Local 7's patio is the perfect place to fulfill this fantasy. Partly because it has benches that move (for optimal tanning) and huge umbrellas (to avoid a heat stroke). But mostly I love the fact that I can play my favorite mindless summer game, cornhole. Stacey (I'm pretty sure), the blonde bartender is wonderful. She's attentive, has a great memory, good timing, AND has real, full-on conversations with us every time we're there. We like her so much that I actually don't know much about the rest of the staff. Oops. The sweet potato fries. Hubba hubba, swoon-tastic, be still my beating heart. They're light and fluffy, but have a great crisp on the outside. The half&half basket (pickles & jalapeños) is gosh darn good as well. I can't decide if I'm up or down about this, but...the proximity of the train tracks. Woo woo shots (even though they make me cringe) are a plus, but halting our conversations every 20 minutes to wait for a particularly large or loud train to pass by sometimes puts a bit of a damper on our meal. I'm leaving it in the positive section because there's obviously nothing they can do about this one. Downsides: They seem have a hard time handling some of their weekend nights. We tend to stick to early weekday dinners or oddly-timed weekend lunches because we've had such a hard time getting good service on the weekends. The last time we attempted a Friday date night it took my boyfriend more than 4 attempts to get a beer refill & many more than that to actually put in a food order or get a check. The servers are still decent, just overwhelmed? Understaffed? Sad they're working on a weekend night? Beware, this next part is definitely snobby. I know this, I admit it, I sort of apologize. But I'm a total burger fanatic & I'm incredibly picky about the way my beef is cooked. I am a firm believer in the fact that the temperature of certain beef can change the entire taste of the meal. Since I already know how annoying I am about this (obviously), when I ordered the Hawaiian style burger I tried to make it as clear as possible to our server how I wanted it cooked. Sadly, my "warm pink center" ended up thoroughly well done and cooked until it was tasteless. It's hard to convey how disappointed I was. I think I'll stick with my BLT&A's from now on. Overall, 3 stars because I like this place & I'll continue to come back, but it doesn't stand out & it doesn't warrant a visit more than once a month. Whew. And I'm done, I swear.

Had dinner with friends last night at 7pm and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They've been there before, this was my first time. I had the Fried Green Beans, which were great with the Tempura batter and dipping sauce, and Fish and Chips. The food is mainly bar food and I enjoyed what I ate. The service was attentive and friendly which is better than I can say for where I had lunch earlier in the day. The place was pretty full and lively with a good mix of older/younger, singles/families (several small children were in the restaurant section...we were in the bar section) I'll be back.

Well whaddya know, Tucker has a bar on Main Street! This is our neighborhood go-to. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the food is great. Get the BLT&A. You won't regret it.

My roommate and I have decided to make this out new spot. It's got good food and decent beer prices so that's all we need. Local 7 is located right in downtown Tucker on Main St. We didn't have to wait long at all for a server and when she did come over she was friendly and helpful. She also brought our food out quickly, which was great because we were starving! I ordered the Little John Burger with chicken instead of beef. It was delicious and super filling because of all the protein on it (two pieces of bacon and a fried egg). I barely finished it. I got tater tots as a side and they were great too. I want to go back today to get another burger for real... so good! We also ordered beer: Abita Purple Haze. It tasted like raspberry paradise and was under $5.

Wow, so glad I stopped into this place! We live less than a mile away, and we always drive by wishing we could stop in. Finally we had time to give it a go. Very pleased that we did. The interior of the establishment is very hometown, local bar feel - like a delightfully downgraded TacoMac if that makes sense. It had all of the pleasures that a large sports bar can afford, with a personal feel. You can seat yourself in any of the large booths or tables. The place is well lit but cozy. You can see the bartender greeting and chatting with regulars, and that was quite wonderful. Made me want to continue coming here. Beer selection wasn't too bad - definitely not what I would consider top notch, but there were a few crafts beers for decent prices and a couple on tap. Food selection was also pretty good - your standard bar and pub food - burgers, wings, salads, chicken sandwiches, and apparently they have some of the meanest tater tots around. (Can't believe I just said that) I ordered wings and fries, and was told that the wings were jumbo... definitely weren't jumbo in my opinion. To me they seemed a standard size and they only had like three sauce selections. I just got the Buffalo because I don't believe in BBQ or Lemon Pepper on wings, but I couldn't choose mild, medium, hot, etc. It was just one flavor. I was a little disappointed in them because they felt overcooked and crunchy and the sauce was a little boring. The fries were delicious but tricky, they are string fries so in order to feel like you are taking a legit bite, you have to stuff about 12 in your mouth. By the end of five minutes, they are gone. Though the food wasn't my favorite, it seemed like there was enough options left to try that I didn't leave feeling like I wasted my time. I will definitely come back and try other things like the burgers. Too bad the prices are a little high - for the same price I could easily find better tasting wings and a side of fries. You had to add three bucks for fries here. Service was so-so. Our waitress was really nice and helpful, but it wasn't anything super special. I got the feeling that these people really want to create a local (hence Local 7) feel to the place, so maybe will recurrent visits I could develop a better relationship with the location.

Lol @Local 7! The menu has some kitschy Tucker facts including the number seven so after a while of dealing with a low-talker bartender, watching the owner/manager and most of the staff hanging out in a booth by the kitchen, we started adding our own kitschy facts. "7, the number of customers at Local 7." "Local 7 has 7 employees doing absolutely nothing." ...and so forth. Made for some good laughs. Here's seven more fun facts about Local 7: The most prominent item in view in the kitchen is the microwave. Ugh. They employ a waiter that looks like Fu Manchu. Seriously, make him shave that nasty scraggly chin hair. If I got Fu Manchu as my waiter, I would ask for another server. If one of those hairs got into my food I would vomit. The prices for booze are too high. To get regulars you really need to have something on the menu that is more affordable. The view into the kitchen from the hall to the restroom will make you not want to eat here. Who the heck is "Little John" and all the rest of the people with burgers named after them? Ok, so the last one was a question. So sue me. Lol

There isn't anything on the menu that I would not order. The place is awesome! Right size and great people.

Stumbled upon this place after running some errands and checked out the menu on the window. The hub and I decided to try it out because we saw fried pickles and some yummy burger options. Service was friendly and fast. We started with the pickles, a burger and sweet potato fries for me and fish and chips for the hub. The pickles tasted homemade and we really delicious. They were a little thicker than some other places where they are like the thin dill pickles right out of the jar. The entrees were both very tasty. I enjoyed my burger quite a bit. It was prepared just as I had ordered. The sweet potato fries were average, but very hot and crisp. I wasn't sure the burger was worth the $10+ price tag plus the extra charge for the sweet potato fries. The hub's fish was delicious as were the shoestring fries. My fave on his plate was the cole slaw. Tasty! I'd go back for the pickles any day, and maybe try some other yummy looking menu items.

I really want to love this place. I have been there a handful of times because I live around the corner and like that they have a more varied beer selection. Every time I have been there, it seems whatever I order, they are out of some crucial ingredient of the dish. This has happened more than once...for instance I ordered the tacos and they were out of taco shells. Ok. Kroger is 2 blocks away, go buy some. I went with my parents once, they are vegetarian and was glad to see they had some options for them. Until they were out of those dishes. We left and went across the street to the awful Mexican place, but they lost our business. I'll go back for beer :)

Came in last night for dinner cause I was tired of seeing, being and even thinking of my kitchen (we've been eating in for the past few weeks now). The place was deserted, with only another table and a groupd of loud, annoying girls gathered around the jukebox. We sat down and a server gave us menus. They are cute, actually being a paper menu clipped onto a clipboard. I decided on getting the Little John (hamburger, cheese, bacon and egg), SO decided on the Oinker (burger w/ pulled pork). Our orders came out in a timely manner. I noticed right away that the burger was proportionate to the bun, which is nice because I like an even amount of everything with each bite, not just a bite of pure meat. The burger was cooked PERFECTLY!! And I mean perfectly medium, the edges were cooked and the pink was a nice soft pink right in the middle. The egg was also perfect. It wasn't hard where the yolk was completely cooked, nor soft where with one bite, you've covered your delicious burger with running egg yolk. I was thoroughly happy with my burger. Not so much with the salad which costs $1 more. It was limp greens, a few matchstick carrots and 2 slices of cucumbers. It wasn't even cold. But after I had a few of SO's fries, I knew that I made the better choice because the fries were limp, greasy and tasteless. The server was ok, he didn't go above and beyond now did he ask if I needed a refill (which I did), even when he came by to take away plates and bring us our check. Which is ok, because their water kinda tastes funny... I do wish that they would have different things playing on their 4 TV's. You know, give us some options for something else to stare at while we wait for our food. Total bill for 2 burgers, 1 side salad and 1 beer was $30 which wasn't too bad.

I had lunch here today ith a friend; I don't often get out to old Tucker, so it's nice to see the revitalization efforts are working. It seemed like a typical bar scene, but they've got rollaway garage doors for when it's warm and team trivia on Monday nights. The food was tasty; I had the Casey Jones burger, which is a half-pound angus patty with american cheese, BBQ sauce and ham, but I substituted bacon. Pretty good, even though I slid out of my seat due to the grease factor. The bun wasn't anything special and the tots were a little underdone, but they're tots...it's not like I'm going to get salmonella. The service was friendly and attentive and I look forward to going back one day. By 12:15 when we left, the place was packed, so people seem to agree that it's worth frequenting. Parking's a little dicey, since you have to back out into main street. Definitely keep that in-mind if you park next to a truck like I did.

I was not impressed. Our waitress was friendly, but it seemed like she was the only one in the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer but it never came, then when our food finally arrived it was cold. Our waitress called over someone who I assume was a manager who attempted to argue that the food did not sit in the window long enough to be cold. The waitress assured us that this was not normal for them. A lot of the menu items sounded really good. I might give them another chance if I'm in the area.

I thought I would give them another try. Yeah well, still not good. Food is way overpriced. Terrible cold cheap bag fries. Not a $12 burger. Mediocre service. Last time I will be here. Sadly, Tucker needs better eateries. Go to Fork in the Road or Three dollar, better value, better food and service.

I love the Local 7 the fried artichokes are so good, actually everything here is really good, nice staff, open area, perfect for sunny days, they open all the doors, jukebox but not turned up too loud, everything about it is cool.

It was pretty good, if somewhat unremarkable. Pub food -- it is what it is, you know? I went on a Monday afternoon and it was mostly empty. I ordered the tot stack, which was ridiculously tasty, and the Cannonball Express, which was ok but didn't succeed in beating Hardee's philly steak cheeseburger with jalapeños. Waiter was nice and attentive. No complaints. Would I go back? Maybe. It didn't really stand out from the crowd, for good or for bad, which I guess is an endorsement, even if not altogether glowing.

Went with husband for an early dinner around 5:30 p.m.. Petty much standard bar food. Ordered wings with a Carolina mustard sauce and fried green beans for an appetizer. The only problem with the wing sauce was the lack there of; they were barely coated. Split a buffalo burger, which is a burger tossed in hot sauce with bacon and blue cheese. The burger was cooked medium as ordered, and all the flavors were there, nice heat from the buffalo sauce, a-ok. As the others have said, it's bar food, it is what it is.

Very laid-back restaurant & bar off Main Street in Tucker alongside the railroad tracks. I swung by for lunch one afternoon and went with the 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich for $6.50. -1/2 Brunswick Stew Soup: This was very tasty! Just have to try it if you're ever here. -1/2 Grilled Veg Panini: It was okay and tasty. Consisted of tomatoes, mushrooms, sautéed onions, baby arugula, and swiss cheese. Balsamic vinaigrette, which highlights the panini as far as flavor goes. Will be back to try more items on the menu such as the burgers, which is a highlight here. I got this from their website, but here's why it's named Local 7. Pretty neat. "The name Local No. 7 comes from the significance of the number 7 and history of Tucker. Tucker is 7 miles from Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Decatur, Chamblee, Doraville, and Lilburn; at one time had 7 churches; 7 high schools within 7 miles of Tucker, and Tucker was laid out in 1907." - thelocal7.com

A favorite watering hole for the yokel locals! Typical barroom with plethora of flat screen TVs. Large lacquered wood tables with hard staight-backed wood chairs or wood benches. Today, being Tucker's Spring Chili Cook-Off day, Local7 was hoppin'! Every table was full and the staff was runnin' ragged. Due to the big day, wait time for a table at 9PM on a Saturday night was longer than desired, running at roughly 5-10 min, with another 10min wait after seated just to place a drink order, 20 minute wait to place food order and longer to finally get the food. Once delivered say so long to the wait staff, 'cause never saw them again until after the meal was finished and again sitting for 10 min waiting on the check. No drink refills the whole meal and little interaction with the staff other than placing and delivering the food. Heard other tables around us complain about no service, so I guess Local7 was short staffed. (All the staff must have been "partying" from the Cook-Off). Witnessed couples walk in, wait to be acknowledged by the staff just to get a table, after being ignored for 5min, turn around and leave. For the food, it is your typical bar food. The corn chowder was hot and spicy, with chunks of potato in a pool of corn with bacon floating in top. The Ruben sandwich was thick and fresh with tons of Tater Tots! Get a side of spicy "ranch" dressing for dipping, which is much better than the ketchup. The fried artichokes were unique but the batter is the same batter one gets with fried chicken strips. Fresh squeezed lemon juice saved them and boosted their flavor tremendously! Mostly a place for the local guys to hang. Not really comfortable, and the food was simply ok, not great. But for a bar, it all seemed better than most. Especially considering the wild events converging on this day, I think the place did ok. I'm glad I tried it at least once.

Solid 3 stars for Local 7. I love this place for being a "what you see is what you get" type of pub. I am a Tucker resident happy to have a place other than Applebee's to get a draught beer and tasty food. It wouldn't hurt to have another place or two like this in close proximity to offer a bit of competition-- The patrons always benefit from that. Nice offering of burgers, sandwiches and other pub staples. The tots are a no-brainer choice every time I've been. They aren't going to win any awards with their food, but it is always consistent. The servers are friendly in my experiences, but I've noticed thing get a little on the slow side. Not sure if this is due to kitchen issues or the service staff, but wanted to point it out to management before it became a big problem.

My bf enjoy coming here after work for a drink at the bar. The bartenders we have met as we have become semi-regulars always remember us. I always get a margarita and Matt gets a bourbon and coke. It's an interesting mix of young Tucker and older folks at the bar. I'm excited that it's getting nicer out because I've never eaten outside there and I'm looking forward to it. You can bring your dog out there. I would say I didn't give it 5 stars because the place struggles on busy Tucker days and nights like when there are events, Tucker Farmers Market etc. They definitely need to have more people on staff those night then I've seen because service just dies down to a bare minimum. We also have had our food brought out cold on one of those nights. They only offered to microwave it and bring it back to us. We most enjoy eating the hot wings, pork wings and tater tots. When I don't want to splurge on calories, I've also enjoyed the southwest style salad because the dressing is a little spicy and I love that. We went one night for trivia and we got 2nd place! The trivia host was very welcoming and entertaining, especially to us first timers to the game. I heard they have an adult trivia night late one evening and we want to try that. I've heard familes have complained about that but umm why are you there with your kid at a bar style place at 10:00 pm anyways, people?

I wrote a five star review for this place after it opened. It seemed like a great new addition to the area that badly needed something like this. We've been going back at least once a month since it opened. And the service has gotten to a point where I wonder if they are trying to antagonize people. And it's not new servers - it's bartenders / managers / veterans of this place that seem to Make a sport of bad service to patrons wanting to spend money there. Ps looking at recent reviews this doesn't seem like an isolated incident. We left this evening wondering what we could have done to make them angry but we were polite and just wanted a place to hang out. Beware if you aren't a regular.

Good food and good beer at a reasonable price. Seems like a good place to catch a bite and watch a game, or grab a beer with some friends. This place has a decent menu selection, and appears to serve primarily bar and pub food. I had the chicken Caesar wrap with Tots and it was delicious! The wrap was a spinach wrap. The chicken appeared to actually be seasoned and wasn't just chicken strips with dressing on them. I recommend this Place to anyone in the area. I would go back.

Simple update - on my last visit I tried the "Pork Wings." These are deliciously tender pork shanks served with a very tasty mustard based BBQ sauce. Definitely recommended. Also, it may just me the place seems to be getting more popular. I remember when it first opened you could walk in seat yourself on a Friday or Saturday night. These days, the place is packed and you'll have to wait a bit for a table. It's nice to see a quality local business being so successful.

I like this place. I read some of the negative reviews, as I usually tend to do, to get a feel for the whole spectrum of feedback. I can honestly say that I've not had the negative experiences that some report. I find their food good. Not outstanding, but pretty darn good. I've had a number of items on the menu, but tend to gravitate towards the "bar" food when I'm there, i.e. hamburgers, etc. I love the ambiance of the place, and being that I live locally to it, I to go a good bit. I've yet to have a meal that I didn't enjoy. The Fish and Chips can be a little hit or miss, but not on taste, more on portion. That's honestly the only negative thing I have about the place.

This was a pretty cool place. I really like the set up and the atmosphere. They have a good bar menu as well. I got the chili burger with onion rings and it was amazing. My girl got the pork tacos and they we're absolutely awful. From what I see, food is a hit or miss situation. I'll probably visit again when I'm in the area!

WELLLLLL I went back with my husband last night and everything pretty much sucked. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an app. When it came out, it looked super watery and exactly like the dip that comes from the TGI Friday's brand box in your grocer's freezer. It had no flavor, at all. The chips were crispy and pretty good, at least! I got a chicken salad sandwich and side salad. The chicken salad appeared to just be chicken, mayo, and celery. There was no seasoning to speak of in the salad, and the only accompaniments to the bread were onion and lettuce. Come on y'all, what about some crazy aioli or curry or something?? A grape? The side salad was okay, nothing special and not worth the extra dough. Also the ranch was kinda meh. I know ranch isn't a gourmet dressing or anything but it's not hard to make homemade or buy a good one. My husband got some wings. I am not a wing fan so I can't judge, but he said they were just okay. He had two beers and I had a water, and with tip the bill was about $50. This was one of those, "How was this half of a hundred dollars?" meals. Hopefully we just ordered the wrong things or came at a bad time. I had super high hopes after my first visit to Local 7 and now I'm not so impressed.

I actually really like the local 7. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. I have tried a lot of stuff here. Great chicken strips, fried pickles, boiled peanuts (no longer on the menu), and Philly cheese steak. The chilli dog is bad, tried to order nachos once and the server told me not to, the fish is mediocre (tastes frozen). Drinks are very overpriced.

I have a really hard time giving this place just 3 stars, but I have a hard time giving it 4 as well. I like the place overall and will be back. I walked away in a good mood, full and satisfied with the tab, but there were a few things that kept me from giving it anymore then a 3. Came here during a week night with my sister and brother, we came for a burger and beer.....and I came for the tots. I love those little nuggets of fried gold! Location: Downtown Tucker, which when I was in high school/college wasn't much of a going concern, but has since then turned itself into a cute little downtown feel with boutique places, that wouldn't last anywhere outside of Tucker, but are super happy to nestle themselves in down there. Parking is alright and you can pull around back behind the place and park in the lot or use the main road parking. Mood: This place is a melting pot for hipsters, locals and older clientele that I went to school with their kids, or even their kids...kids. Case in point, last time my sister was there, they ran into our old Elementary school principle...and this particular evening I saw a person that was two classes above me in high school. So you will see anyone from your grandparents to a group of 30 something guys drunk and yelling at the TV. You will also see hipsters in their skinny jeans and beanies as well as normal run of the mill suburban folk. Service: The service is seat yourself/wait to be seen/then the combo of the two. It's confusing since you can come in from the front or from the rear of the building and there isn't much logical order to the seating section. This really didn't bother us, but I can say that when its busy, this just wouldn't work! Once we found our way to the high top section of the bar area, we sat....and sat...and sat. Both bartenders saw us, took orders and food to tables around us, but neither came up. Finally my sister just stood up and walked over to the female bartender and asked is we had a server. The words out of her mouth next..."Oh, I didn't see you guys there"...I was like mentally to myself-You looked right at me and I smiled at you twice, so really I don't see how you missed my big 6 foot ass standing there and then sitting there. I don't disappear easily. So that was their first strike. Beer: Decent selection of bottled beer, nothing crazy, but for the area they have a good distributor and who ever is in charge of picking the selection, clearly enjoys beer. What they have on draught is pretty much the basics, with maybe two that would be considered craft or small batch brewing. Overall I am impressed and pleased. The rest is just all standard and their shots are kitschy and fun, but more mixer than anything. I'm there for the beer....and tots. Food: I LOVE TATER TOTS! So any where that I can get them, I do. The portions are decent for the price point, I have seen in other reviews were they mentioned a shortage, so it must have been adjusted. We ordered the following: Appetizer: Tot Stack Tater tots smothered in Brunswick stew, cheese and purple onions. The tots get mushy after a few minutes because of the stew, the raw purple onions just don't need to be on their at all. They don't compliment the dish at all and are too "spicy" in their raw form and just over power everything..strike 2. The Stew is pretty good. Meals: Chili Cheese Dog Basket with Sweet Potato Fries (2) Build your own burgers one with a side of tots(mine) and with a side of onion rings(bros). The Burgers are fresh, unless they manage to bring in a special high quality frozen meat patty. My guess is they just use a press to make sure all the patties are uniform and at the 1/2 pound ration. The seasoning they use is on the salty side, but really doesn't make the patty taste bad. We enjoyed the burgers and I would order any of the burgers again and enjoy it. Our server forgot my bacon and my brothers sauce...strike 3. My sister enjoyed her hotdogs and they looked really good from across the table. Once again the raw purple onion was just to strong of an onion selection for her dish and she ended up picking them off. She enjoyed her cole slaw which is the mayo/sugar variety; personally is the only slaw I think should be allowed. Her side of sweet potato fries were nicely seasoned and good quality. Onion rings were a shock, I wasn't expecting a hand battered and fried version to come out. They weren't the thick cut and not the shoe string version either, but a nice middle ground. It was more onion then batter, which I like and the two I was able to snipe from my bother's plate were seasoned well and tasted great. I am sure we will end up back here again since my family seems to enjoy the place, and really considering its location its a nice change of pace. Hopefully my second go around will be better and I will update to 4 stars.

Blackbean burger tasted like a frozen morning star patty and my tater tots were cold. Way over priced as well. Hostess was kind of a bitch and cranky but the waitress was really sweet and cute. Wouldn't hit this place up again at all.

I really like the atmosphere at this place and they have an OK list of drinks. I do wish they could add a few more craft beers though. I live in the area and my husband and I like to come here for a drink and to snack on the tater tots covered in brunswick stew. It is SOOOO good!! I would definitely suggest you try it!

This is a fun bar/restaurant right on Main Street in Downtown Tucker and only 15 minutes from Norcross and Northlake Mall. I really recommend Adult Trivia at 9 pm on Fridays - a lot of fun. The menu is good and I really enjoyed the turkey wrap. The sweet potato french fries are famous and the only thing that sucks is that the bathroom is not in the same building ... just follow the arrows through the back.

We have been here a few times and each time we have been very pleased with our food and the service. We've tried the pork "wings", scrumptious. I've never had anything quite like these; they were so tender and the Carolina BBQ sauce is yummy. The steak and fries, delicious. The chimichuri served with it is tasty. The french dip is awesome with a great au jus. The wings are pretty good; buffalo is not mild for sure. The beer selection is decent for a small place and they do have some gluten free beer and cider options as well

I first took notice of this place during the Main Street Tucker festival. I am glad the Main Street Tucker area finally has a bona-fide bar & grill / tavern. There is a lot to like about Local 7. The management, kitchen staff, bartenders and wait staff are experienced and have worked at / managed cool popular places in Decatur, Little Five Points and Virginia-Highlands. But the place has not hit critical mass on the success meter just yet. But I like what I see so far. The folks running the joint should know how to cultivate and maintain a winning formula. I like the cool location next to the railroad tracks. Love it when the train rolls by. Burger with a side of tots is awesome here; I did not have the kitchen timing problem some others have mentioned. Burger and tots were cooked to perfection.I tried the Cannonball Express Burger with jalapeno peppers, jack cheese and special sauce. Chased it down with a Guinness and then a SweetWater IPA. Someday I plan on consuming the seven-patty John Henry Burger. Perhaps I will do it In one sitting and then chase it down with a couple of beers. I heard the Brunswick Stew is excellent. I will try it and update my review accordingly afterwards. Looking forward to good things here in the future and better reviews from others.

I really wanted to like this place. I love the location in downtown Tucker, right beside the railroad tracks. And the interior has a very trendy feel with brick walls and concrete floors. But the food and service were the downside to our dinner at this new establishment. First, our server was very sweet although perhaps too quiet . . . and aloof. We saw her very rarely during the meal, resulting in drinks that badly needed refills. And it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive after we placed our orders. Yes, despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a Tuesday night, it took at least 45 minutes to receive our order. The menu warned that customers should expect to wait the appropriate time for burgers, but unless the cow was freshly slaughtered behind the restaurant, this seemed excessive. And when the food did arrive, I think only my husband truly enjoyed his meal, which was the Little John burger (two pieces of bacon, white cheddar cheese and a fried egg). I did not enjoy my chicken salad sandwich (roasted chicken, diced celery, grapes, pecans, red onion, pickles, mayo and a dash of mustard). Any time I bite into a huge chunk of fat on chicken, it's pretty much game over. And the ciabatta bread it was served on had not been toasted, so that was disappointing. To top it off, the tots on the side were barely toasted. After 45 minutes, you'd think the tots would have at least been well cooked. Finally, my grandmother was not pleased with her Rueben sandwich (thin sliced corned beef piled high with sauerkraut and Russian dressing) because it barely contained any saurkraut and the amount of meat made it impossible to consume without taking the sandwich apart. Give me Napoleon's in Decatur any day. Similar concept but much better selection, service, and food. Oh, and better TV placement. Sorry, Local No. 7.

Live in the neighborhood and wanted to support. Not that impressed. Cool atmosphere, but the food was nothing great. Fish tacos with more batter than fish. I will try again possibly. Would like to see a more interesting menu.

The place looks great and is in a great location, it's just not running on all cylinders. While just sitting at the bar having a few drinks, I noticed a server that looked a tad creepy and constantly stroked his wispy goatee. Nooooope, probably wouldn't order food from that guy. Our bartender was bored, boring, and obviously didn't have much work to do as we were some of the few people at the bar during the afternoon. Drinks were a little expensive, the beer selection was poor ( although pretty good for Tucker), and it was painfully obvious that this place doesn't know much about beer or are in a distributors pocket. Menu is boring from the look of it and just doesn't grab your attention with anything. I have'nt eaten here, although the first time i was here i tried to order some food but had to cancel it because it was taking so long. It was pretty soon after they opened and they were very busy, so the food might be good, I don't know. Doesn't seem like a chef is guiding the kitchen. A few changes in staff and menu and you could be sitting on a gold mine. Not trying to be all negative, but I'm not sure what would bring me back to this place. Been here twice, I'm good.

I've eaten here a couple of times during the week I like the laid back atmosphere. The burgers and sweet potato fries are always good along with the fried jalapeno's. I was disappointed last night, I had the Fish and Chips, the menu described the fish as being Cod, it wasn't like any Cod I'd ever had and suspected it was Tilapia. Cod is flaky with a distinct white appearance, this fish was flat and firm. The waiter confirmed that it was Cod so either they substituted the Cod or they buy a really crappy product. Either way I would avoid the Fish and Chips and stick with the burger.

First time here and loved it. Good variety of food and price is reasonable for amount of food you get. Good beer selection and good service. Monday is trivia night and the people come early and stay the whole time, so unless you want to play trivia, go another night. I'll definitely be back!

Went again on a Thursday night and it was unexpectedly packed! The staff said the farmers market down the street had brought in a lot more folks than usual. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to sit at a table inside which is much more interesting that the seating outside. The outside seating on the side of the building is on wood picnic tables and under fans and is not inviting. It does afford you a front seat to the passing trains. The bar is nice. The staff was hurried and sparse that night but the bartender has eyes in the back of his head and took our orders at our table that we had to claim for ourselves. The staff was looking out for us but there should be an official waiting list when the restaurant is busy. The fried artichoke hearts were fantastic and are recommended! I had the yummy sliders and my table mates enjoyed their tacos. The bartender really saved the day with his service!

I came for dinner a week ago with some friends who live near Tucker and this place has local watering hole written all over it. The staff are friendly, they had some good ol' comfort food, and tons of locals on a Friday night. This place definitely knows the way to my heart -- tots. There's something so amazing about being able to get tater tots as the side for my chili cheese dog (they don't put beans in their chili, love that!) instead of fries. When tots are available, I have to have them. Also, this place was the first time I've tried fried green beans and holy moley are they delicious! Nothing fancy, just great food and good service.

The food is ok. The seating arrangement is horrible. If you come in with a party of more than four, you will have a hard time finding a table. They let two people sit at six top booths which leaves groups with nowhere to sit. The waiter says, "seat yourselves". Um, there isn't anywhere to sit, lady!

Stumbled upon this restaurant and checked Yelp for reviews. They looked good so we decided to check it out. We ordered hamburgers and fries. They were delicious. Burgers were juicy and tasted like they were cooked on an open flame. We decided to try a piece of chocolate cake (they get it from the bakery next door) and it was yumo. That's a Rachel Ray word BTW. The service was good as well. And the check was under 30 bucks. It's far from where we live but if I'm ever near Tucker again we will be going back to the Local # 7.

I was recommended Local No. 7 by a neighbor. After initially looking at their menu on-line, I had my doubts about this place. Based on the menu, it seemed like a typical burger & wings type bar. Those types of bars are OK, but my foodie taste buds, find such places to be usually bland. Anyways, one night, the husband and I finally decided to check out this place, and we were pleasantly surprised. I would say Local No. 7 is somewhere between a bland bar and a hipster bar - a nice happy medium. The selection of craft beer left me pleasantly surprised. And they have trivia and bingo nights. The food selection was that of a typical bar but with slightly fewer fried things. I got the strawberry-spinach salad since I'm trying to watch my girlish figure. And the husband got the French Dip sandwich, and it was rather tasty. I definitely think I'll be back. Local No. 7 is a nice addition to downtown Tucker.

Came home for the weekend to find Tucker revamped and home to a seriously great establishment in Local 7. More than once we commented that we should come back more often. Great drink selection, excellent food, and mouthwatering desserts from next door.

What a unique dining experience in the quite town of Tucker. Located on Main street right next to the tracks makes this restaurant relaxing and comfortable. They make all their food from scratch (no out of the freezer and into the fryer garbage) And the best part they serve beer in the appropriate glasses and they have Magners Irish Cider on tap. Don't forget to get a woo woo when the train comes by! Greatest place ever :)

I am not a hipster looking for the hot new burger. I am not a soccer mom looking for a place to take my kids while I swill a cosmopolitan and talk about how greasy the food is. I am not the type of person who needs to have forty different beers that I have never heard of on tap. I am none of those things, and the Local No. 7 will not satisfy you if the aforementioned describes you at all. I have spent lots of time at this establishment. I have formed a complete, honest and unbiased opinion. The food menu is great, especially considering the alternatives in Tucker. The menu changes regularly and there have been several specialty items that I found to be excellent. It is good ol' bar food, and if you are a good ol' bar patron, you will be satisfied. I have NEVER had an issue with waiting for my food or service. I have found all the waiters to be friendly, and they all roll with the punches like real waitstaff should. One night I noticed that my brand of beer had disappeared from the menu. After a quick chat with the owner, my beer was back the next week. The atmosphere in the place is just like a local bar should be. The roll top door is a nice touch on those perfect weather days. They do have team trivia, live music and bar bingo, as well as several special events. (Kentucky Derby, St. Patty's day etc.) Overall, The Local No. 7 is a great place to eat, drink and be merry. However, it is not the place to eat, drink and be bitchy.

My husband and I were pretty excited that a real bar finally opened on Main Street. Main Street in Tucker has potential to be really cute, it's just not there yet. We went to Local No. 7 on a Monday. There were a lot of people, but we didn't have to wait. It was an interesting mix of people - there were some tattooed hipsters, some older people that probably have lived in Tucker for 40 years and some families with young kids. They had just opened the previous weekend and seemed to be out of a lot of beers, but we gave them a pass since they had literally opened their doors days before. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started out with the hummus. I'm a huge hummus fan and I have to say that the hummus here was pretty top notch. It came with pita and veggies. The menu is pretty good with lots of different options including a whole build your own burger menu. We became fans and went back the following weekend. And that's when things went dowhill. The place was packed. They told us that there would be a wait and that was fine. When we got a table, I made the mistake of ordering wine. Now, I'm not a wine snob by any means, but whatever they served me tasted like windex. Our food took a very long time coming out and although our server warned us that they were backed up in the kitchen, he pretty much ignored us until our food came out. He never stopped by or asked if we needed more drinks or anything like that which was annoying. This time, I got the black bean burger, which was okay, nothing great. Meh. I wanted to love this place, I really did. I think they are probably just having some growing pains and will get better. I hope that they'll get some decent wine though!

I went to local 7 tonight with a few friends of mine. Awesome place. Bartender was cool, told me about the music they were having that night, which was incredible. The food was good and the beer was just what I wanted. I think all the negative reviews are from lame people wanting something that isnt needed. Go to local 7 for a good time.

We stopped in last Saturday night, late, and were pleasantly surprised by this place! There was a good crowd, live music, a good beer selection and a very interesting menu that was had good options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. (Our table was both). To start we had the grilled artichoke hearts and the spinach and artichoke dip which were both really good and the dip was unlike any other we had had before. For dinner, everyone was pleased. I, myself, had a burger with some grilled vegetables that was very flavorful and very filling. The service was great as well. As a former resident of Tucker (moved to Decatur), it is nice to see Tucker support a business with great food and a good scene.

I didn't like this place the first time I was there and ended up back there and hated it even more. It's 20 something frat boys, lonely heavy set girls and nerdy 40 something men. They have trivia on Friday nights and these people get all excited to win the big green egg grill Enough said. The dorky trivia announcer couldn't even pronounce the names of Grammy award-winning bands in his trivia questions. The wings were just okay and the service was so-so. It's not my kind of crowd. This crowd doesn't seem to get out much. Just a note for bar owners, trivia must be great for those who are into it, but being at a bar on trivia night (not knowing ahead of time) is a miserable experience for those who don't like it.

As residents of Tucker, we were happy to have an establishment open up locally that provides decent beer, food and service. One of the owners, Louis, is always friendly and works to "make it right" if you've had a less-than-pleasurable experience. The chicken fingers are so yummy! Very crispy, lightly seasoned, juicy inside. They used to have a great meatloaf as well, but have discontinued it. Fish and chips could use some spicing up- extremely bland on the batter. The burgers are great (nice and juicy) and we like the option of tater tots instead of fries. They have more than your run-of-the-mill beer selection, although would love to see even more craft beer selection. The decor is casual and comfortable and service is typically great.

I don't live in Tucker. I had to go to Tucker to meet a friend, and so after the drive I was in the mood for a beer and some food. I asked my friend where I should go and she suggest Local No. 7. I'm not sure what all the haughty complaints about this place are about but I have none. I was able to grab a seat at the bar and watch the Florida game, my bartender was super cool and took good care of me, the beer was cold, delicious, and they had a great selection, and my chili-cheese dog was great. It was exactly what the doctor ordered and all for $15. The train went by while I was there and everybody yelled Whoo0Whoo! and got a $2 shot. What's better than that? I'll tell you what. Nothing. This place is great. I live in a neighborhood that doesn't have a bar like this, so kudos to Tucker and Local No. 7. I'm online looking at houses in Tucker at this very moment.

Had a couple of Abita Jockamos here last night to go along with a jalapeno topped burger and some tater tots. Yay tater tots, the superior fried potato format. Although, I have to say that the shoe string fries were also a refreshing choice. Kids liked the slider and hot dog. Wifey had a salad that was pretty decent. Laid back atmosphere and no, it wasn't weird being there with a 4yo and a 1yo. Friendly staff, and they have an old multi-game arcade down the hallway toward the bathrooms.

I was so looking forward to a revival of Tucker downtown's scene. But this place isn't going to be around very long. It has no edge and doesn't to want to be anything. Is it a bar? - No, not really. They have some liquor and some beers, but neither do they specialize on liquor drinks nor do they have a very wide or defined beer selection. Are they a family joint? Nope, not really. Are they specialized on a specific type of food? Nope. They got some sandwiches and Fish 'n Chips and all the standard fare. They mostly use standard SYSCO or Restaurant Depot stuff, like tots and fries, etc. Burgers are standard industrial patties. For god's sake, even Five Guys does those better. Don't get me wrong. The food is okay. It's not bad, but it's not that good either. Just average. Nothing stands out in this place. It's "Local Mediocre". Food, drink and service - Nothing sticks out. At least the "Grove" knows it is a bar and they have the liquor and the bar food to back it up. A lot is home made on top of it. Really good bar food. That sticks out. "Napoleon's" knows it is a foodie bar. They also back it up with some fare that stands out and you can't find everywhere else. On top of it, they have a drink selection that knows what it wants. Of course there is Applebee's, which is like Local 7, but with more bandwidth on both food and drinks. I just don't get that concept. Why would you invest hard earned money into a restaurant and then not stand for something? Trying to hedge in a bad economy? You went for a concept that clearly aims at the broadest audience. That audience, unfortunately, just has plenty to pick from. Dare to stick out and stand for something. It's better to have a smaller pool of people that's loyal. "L'Thai" gets this and so does "Los Hermanos". Good luck y'all. I just don't see it work.

super happy with the first trip to Local 7! Great food, neat atmosphere and fab attentive service (thank you Jessica!)... try the Brunswick stew, fried artichokes and fried pickles. My crew had margaritas, beer and a woo woo.... yay for Tucker!

I've visited a couple times now and have really enjoyed myself both times. This place definitely fills a niche in Tucker. There's a decent beer list. Prices aren't great, but they also aren't exorbitant. I've only had beer when I've visited, but I've heard some of the mixed drinks are pretty good. The food is very solid for a bar and for the price. The first time I went I had the basic burger, which was very good. Most recently I had the French Dip, which was also very solid. My wife has ordered the Garden Sandwich both times and tells me it's good (I prefer to stick meat-based sandwiches). We enjoyed the fried artichoke hearts as a starter. I wouldn't really call this place a gastropub. More like a traditional bar/grill with good food. Certainly worth checking out if you're in the area.

Stopped by with the wife and little man on a Friday night around 5:30-6pm and within 30 minutes the place was packed (good indication that people have been wanting something like this in the Tucker area for a LONG time). Menu was pretty simple - starters, burgers, and sandwiches. The had a small kids menu with standard kids fare - mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, burgers, etc. Wife had the black bean burger and she reported good things. I ordered a burger with cheddar and bacon. Bacon was thick cut and delicious. We also got a side of green beans which were super fresh and crunchy - not mushy like out of a can or frozen. They had Sweetwater IPA on draft which is always a plus. Service: She was attentive but not overly so, especially for being newly opened (just over a week when we stopped in) and the owner stopped by to talk to each table thanking everyone for coming. No issues here. Strengths: Love the exposed brick and the tie in with the rail road theme. With the location, there's nothing you can do about the trains and the noise so they embraced it. Even the kids menus had trains the little ones could color. LOVE the exposed brick and the set up of the bar area. They also have outdoor seating and as the first reviewer said a garage door they can open when the weather allows. Improvements: The kitchen was a little slow, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on what may have been their first real busy night being open. My burger was a little over cooked but despite that, the quality of the beef and flavor were still excellent. Would like to see more locals on draft - Terrapin, Wild Heaven, etc. but that's just the beer geek in me. Overall, we had a good experience and we'll be back.

I was so happy to see a new place open up in Tucker! My brother and I frequent restaurants in the area at lunch and we decided to give this place a try one day. I'd have to say its one of my new *fave* places to go now! My 2 favorite things to order are their Brunswick stew (and be sure to add the hot sauce to it for a little kick) and their delicious Apple Pie a la mode! I enjoy hearing the train go by so you can yell out a "WOO WOO" with the other people (makes ya feel like a kid again!). The wait staff is super friendly and don't hover while you're eating. I look forward to visiting this place often in the future!!!

Went in with a group late-night on Saturday. Service was friendly and attentive, and they had live music, which is always a plus. The four of us all got different dishes and were all very very satisfied - veggie burger, the local burger, garden sandwich, and fish & chips. We all loved our meals. But the best part was the FRIED ARTICHOKE HEARTS appetizer! Ohhhh my god, they were awesome!!

Decided to try this place out in downtown Tucker. The place was nearly empty with only 4 other customers during "Happy Hour" . We had to listen to the bored staff's banter the entire time there. Right off the bat, we noticed how expensive the beer prices were. Like "strip club" expensive. You had a choice of 12 oz. Or 16 oz. Draught beers. 12oz Fat Tire? Really? It comes in cans larger than 12 oz now. After looking at the menu, which reminded me of hotel "room service" prices, I had many questions. Wings will set you back about $10, for 10. No, I am not joking. After asking, I was told they come with only celery. This is by far, the highest price I have ever seen for wings. Other places at least give you fries too for that much money. Every burger on the menu seemed to have some other thing piled onto it (chili, ham, stew, even pulled pork). They seemed to love adding a fried egg to whatever they can as well. If I worked in this kitchen, I would turn to my co-workers and scream "TA-DAAA!!!" Every time this happened. It seems everybody is trying to cram burgers down your throat with all these "boutique" burger joints popping up everywhere. My guess is the only way to top them is to literally "top" them. Well after picking a burger with grilled jalapenos, with the fries, still no happy hour rush. It was about 6:30 now. Our burgers were tasty, but the prices still tainted the experience. My other choice would have been the Fish 'n Chips ($12, and I was very glad these Americans properly called them "chips" and not "French Fries"). I did get to taste the Fish 'n Chips, when I finished, because there were many little burnt particles at the bottom of my basket from the fryer. The burger was nicely cooked, and full of flavor. But, again the prices were a point of contention. After we finished eating, we decided to have our next beer someplace else. Our bill was almost $70 for 2 burgers and 3 beers each! HOLY.... This place reminds me or The Grove on La Vista, for their "nickel-and-diming" menu, and silly pricing. At least The Grove is now established, and is a better place to see a game. Local no. 7 can't offer even that. I understand if you don't want to be a "sports bar", but be honest. There are a bajillion other places that look similar, don't care what they are called, and serve great food at fair prices. There is absolutely nothing exclusive about this place, and it has no redeeming "local hangout" quality about it. It's just an overpriced attempt to be one. You need Locals for that to happen. 7:05 and still only 4 more people came in.

This is possibly my favorite place to eat in Tucker. The rustic feel of the whole restaurant is perfect with the classic burger choices. Plus the games and contests they run are pretty cool, too. Really recommend it.

Discovered this place about a month ago and have been drawn back weekend after weekend. New, clean, cool spot by the tracks. Good beer, good food. The Burgers are spectactular, especially with some of their homemade sauces (No 7, smoky spicy goodness). Service can lag a little, but hey, why be in a hurry as long as you have a good beverage? Oh, and sweet potato fries all the way!!

After looking at the great reviews, decided to try the local7 . I couldn't be more impressed!!! Wanted onion rings, but I love them really thin. The server said she would check with the kitchen. A few min later, the best thin cut rings came out, personally cut for me. I will be back for this kind of personal service!!!

My husband and I were very hesitant to visit this place after reading the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. We were pleasantly surprised. The fried pickles were really good. They're made with homemade pickles and served with homemade ranch. We both had a Little Lenny which was pretty good as well. I'd recommend the tots over the fries. The service was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty full. All in all, it wasn't the best food I've ever had, but we both agreed we'd be back.

Ive been to this place a few times. The atmosphere is pretty good. The "woo woo" shot for $2 is fun when a train rolls by on the nearby tracks. I also love that they have sweetwater ipa on draft for under $15 a pitcher. The food is just average so don't go expecting too much. As a warning, they tend to overcook burgers. Overall, this place is fun and is probably my favorite bar in tucker.

Foodies Beware! Tried this place 4x and it keeps getting worse. My last visit there was this past spring. Tater tots cooked in cheap oil with a chemical aftertaste. Burger bun laid in the grease from the tots, salad is embarrassingly nothing special, chicken soup tastes like watered down canned broth with barely any chicken or anything else in it, Mac n cheese has yellow oil pooled in the bottom of its bowl , fried pickles tasted fried twice in the same cheap tasting oil that they use with the horrible aftertaste. After the 4th waste of $$ I told the manager WHY we would not be coming back (all the above reasons). He seemed inexperienced and disinterested even though he was not busy. Chef overheard me and I talked with him about tasting it and applying some quality control but he was in denial. He said "everyone uses this same oil we do" but I guess he's never eaten out. It's not gonna get any better at this rate so use this place for cocktails only (which were good) and avoid the sickening food. Hope they go outta biz and someone who gives a flip gets the space. Tucker needs a few great small businesses. This one's just taking up prime real estate space on Main Street.

Really great to see a new local pub in Tucker!! We have been twice and overall nice place. Nice place go and hang with friends. Beer list is good, wine list well there isn't one, food is pub and service is good. Forget the Reuben as it was two dry pieces of marble bread, dried out packaged deli meat and thousand island was undetectable. Burgers are good. Atmosphere works with good TV coverage to support sports bar environment. Needs to come up with a signature food item or two that they're proud of serving. I'll go for a draft but that's about all for now, but I'll keep the faith they'll regroup on the food and wine.

Nice addition to downtown Tucker. Pub style atmosphere with a large bar and plenty of televisions placed well around the room. Party of three dined on a Tuesday night at 7:00PM. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall the food was very good with minor criticisms. The kitchen should work to ensure that all items on the plate are as good as the others. The brunswick stew was a bit too thick and sweet. This, probably a result of continuous cooking on a steam table. The stew could have possibly been thinned with a bit of vinegar which would have had a better result. Fish and Chips entree was very good. The cod fish filets were hot and not oily at all. The fries however were too old and no longer crispy. The pulled pork entree was rated very good as well. A traditional bun instead of the buttery/oily Texas toast would have been preferred. The small pate buffalo wings were also very good. The server advised that they had run out of celery. Since there are two grocery stores within a half mile, this (as minor as it was) should not have happened. Everyone in the party agreed that they enjoyed Local 7 and would return again without hesitation. Good job Local 7 - keeping a keen eye on the details will surely elevate you to the next level.

Well let's see! I have going into here for a few months now. I'll have to say their is a wide array of people that frequent it. All friendly. They have a nice size bar. Tables seating as well along with a nice size patio. Covered and open. It does tend to get fairly loud when the crowd is in. Only complaint. The food is pretty good had some of their ribs just the other day. Justin does a good job on the smoker. The burgers are good as well. The have a good selection of craft beers on tap. The bartenders and waiters do a pretty good job.

I must say, this place blew me out of the water. For all its casualness--for appearing to be "just another neighborhood bar," I was really impressed with the food. And even though the bartender also had to come outside to serve us, this didn't stop service from being really good. I had a the pork wings, some chili, and a few of the fried green beans. Yes, I said "pork wings." This is a trimmed down pork shank, cooked to perfection, and served with Carolina mustard barbecue sauce. I thought they were spectacular. The chili is allegedly award winning. I can see why. Hearty and with a good burn. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it. And the fried green beans are a hit. I've had this kind of dish elsewhere, but somehow these remain memorable. This is possibly the least healthy way to eat green beans, but you should still do it. Holler if you want some company.

Service was fast and friendly. Better than average bar food with lunch specials (1/2 soup, salad or sandwich ) Decent beer selection with some local support. Would definitely return when I'm near downtown tucker. Half Blt x Brunswick stew Chicken salad was yummy on the plate next to me, 2 onion rings I stole off were crispy n delicious
