I was traveling for work this week in Orlando for my company's national sales meeting. I had spent the prior 30 days completing a clean eating challenge and was not willing to undo all of my hard work by pulling up to the buffet offered at these conferences. I did a little google searching, and quickly came across Healthy Bites. It was exactly what I was looking for! Complete and full disclosure on all of their menu items, nutritional information, fresh ingredients, and they delivered! I ensured that I would have a fridge and a microwave in my room, and they took care of the rest! My only disappointment is that I do not live locally, and won't be able to regularly patronize their business. Two enthusiastic thumbs up guys!

Great little market and restaurant. I have eaten in the restaurant before. Last night we purchased food and a bottle of wine from the grocery. It was great! We got the meatballs in their house marinara(heat and serve) and accompanied it with some angel hair pasta. It was delicious! We also purchased the grilled chicken salad as a started. Definitely plenty of food for 2 people and the price was perfect. Paolo gave us some hints and showed us around for dinner ideas and suggestions. It was very helpful. Amazing wine selection as well for every taste and budget:)
Great little market. Sat outside with a bottle of wine. Great view of the lake across the street.
Wow! A friend took me here for my birthday yesterday. We ate downstairs. It was a little tight, but there was only three of us, so it worked out fine. On her recommendation, I had the eggplant parm, and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. Both were delicious, but the Eggplant is what I want to rave about. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and a nice size portion for lunch. It was the kind of meal that you can't eat without your eyes rolling to the back of your head and the spontaneous "mmmmmmm's" coming out of your mouth. It was THAT good. It was 10.95 and totally worth more. To top it off, I got a free piece of cake for my birthday. I tried the carrot and it was very good and fresh. Highly recommend this place!

Just go. That's pretty much what sums it up. Whatever imagine you have of how great kabobs can be. Take that and multiply by ten and you'll be close. The staff are wonderful, the food is fresh and flavorful, the experience is awesome. Read more about it here... recommendableedibles.wor…
Not to often do I get to give an establishment 5 stars but when I do, you know it's ON POINT! These guys hit all levels of service!
I just moved to the area and the little black building in this plazas parking lot intrigued me. So tonight my friend and I decided to go try it. We've had Doner in multiple countries in Europe and this is the best we've ever had! Now I'm not sure what it's like in Turkey but ShishCo is for sure 5-stars in my book :)

The food here shines!! I came with a big group for a work reunion lunch and we sat outside in the sun and it was just rejuvenating food which didn't leave me with a post-lunch 2pm food coma hangover. All of us were new to this place and everyone was talking about coming back again for another work lunch and/or with their family at another time. The comparison with Chipotle is also very apt, because it's similar operationally and the food is prepared fresh. I love that when I bit into the falafel, I could see proof of it being freshly made as it had whole chickpeas. I got the pita and they were very accommodating and I didn't need to decide but instead got half chickpea and half chicken. The fries were also great with excellent feta sprinkled on top, but the falafel was indeed too salty for me, but since that's a personal taste palate preference, it's still 5 stars from me. Also, the best sweet tea, and it's taken the top spot in my rankings (behind Chipotle and Publix). I mixed the sweet black tea with a bit of the hibiscus tea and it rocked (I didn't like the Mango one however, but again that's a personal taste preference and beside everything else was so good!) will try and come here again and will definitely recommend it to family and local friends.
I went here for the first time today and I was really impressed! I met a friend here and found out that she comes at least once a week. Must be tasty huh? We met at 12:30 and I was worried about their being a wait. There were a lot of people there but they did a great job of getting everyone through the line quickly. The restaurant is where Qdoba used to be and they pretty much kept the same set up. You go through a line, pick what you want, and they put it together for you. The longest part of the whole process is figuring out what you want. When I saw all the options on the board I picked up a menu and looked over it before my friend showed up. I suggest doing that on your first visit so that you don't feel overwhelmed and/or hold up the line. I decided to go with the pita - filled with gyro meat, tzatziki spread, tomato & cucumber salad, bean salad, and feta. It was SO yummy and so filling! I only got water so the total came to $7.50 which I was totally fine with. It was more than enough to fill me up! For a fast food/quick service restaurant I think this place is pretty good. I've read that a lot of people found the food rich/heavy, but with so many options I think it would be easy to go either way. Since I filled my pita with lots of veggies I think it helped a lot.
One of my new favorite restaurants! Generous portions, satisfying food that won't make you feel guilty! The food is fast, simple, and easy. My only complaint is that I discovered this place the day before I leave Maitland to go back to college. I only hope they'll open a second location in Deland!

My husband bought a deal from living social for thurston house for a weekend getaway. The original weekend we planned had to be postponed due to a medical emergency. The next weekend we planned was also something we couldnt do, so we ended up paying full price of 250.00 a night. she was unwilling to work with us, saying the original deal had February blacked out and the inn was almost sold out. out. upon arrivng on Friday she mentioned that we would have the place to ourselves that night but it was full for Saturday. turned out we were the only guests. that was a little disappointing as we like to meet new people wherever we go. The house was beautiful and well kept. We were not big fans of the food as we like a breakfast that is not so fussy. We told that to carol on saturday night but sunday was another overly sweet and rich breakfast. Although carol went out of her way with birthday cupcakes in the room and a candle in my muffin at breakfast, i would have been more at home at the ritz carlton for that amount of money.
"Paradise in Central Florida" I have been coming here for nearly 20 years and thoroughly recommend this incredible bed & breakfast. When visiting the Orlando area for business or pleasure, this is the only place I will consider staying. It's all the little extras that Carole puts in that make this home away from home truly extraordinary. The home itself is exquisite, beautiful surroundings, incredible porch (I've fallen asleep there), wonderful sitting room/library, comfortable beds (an insomniacs dream) and a nice desk to work on. Then, it gets better! A breakfast fit for a King and with any dietary condition. You walk away feeling refreshed and wanting to come back again and soon. Wish I could give this place six stars!
This was truly amazing! Carole and Joe you both are great hosts! thank you for making our anniversary extra special! It was very relaxing and extremely enjoyable! Not to mention the DELICIOUS breakfast!! I highly recommend your B&B. We will return soon!

Chick-fil-A

Despite the chief owners political views they have great food. They have a comfortable dinning area capable of seating large groups. Superb customer service that cater to their patrons. They offer free refills and clear your tables of trash for you. The food is so good that it can get quite crowded and long lines at the drive thru.
Best frosties ever!! I have ALWAYS liked chic-fil-a. Not only are they Christian owner but I love their food. Love the fact that their chicken nuggets are actual chicken pieces not pressed meat! And love their waffle fries! You can also opt to get fruit instead of fries if you want a healthier option.
Can't go wrong with Chick Fil A .... Fries are good, original chicken sandwich is very tasty especially when paired with a freshly brewed sweet tea, I get mine without the ice as I like to taste the tea and not a diluted version of it. Service is very quick whether it's inside the establishment or the drive thru, the only downside to this location is the plaza itself, parking is very limited and hard to get through with both the 7 eleven and drive thru traffic.

Was referred to this place by my friend who is known as uncle larry. He has been going there for 15+ years. Love the people and love the karaoke. Great owners. Just a terrific little bar.
Cool place if you like smokey, dark bars that have three bland beers on tap and a limited bottle selection. The people seemed nice, mostly regulars. They did have a pool table which got them an extra star. Had 2 yingling's for $5 and she had to charge an extra 6% because I used a debit card. Really? 6%. Who carries cash? Last time I come in here...
Attentive staff and great drink specials. Definitely you local hole in the wall. Everyone that goes there has been going there for over 10 years. I am happy to call it one of my regualr haunts.

Gordons Be Back Fish House

558 E Kennedy Blvd
Maitland, 32751
Reviews:
I was searching for a mom and pops fish place and ran in to reviews of this place so I came to check it out. Here is my two cents... Gordon's be back fish house is a small restaurant joint in Eatonville(it says Maitland on here) right as soon as you enter the city of Eatonville it is located on your right hand side a bit bitten if you don't Pay attention you can miss it but make a u turn at the city's library down the road. There menu is not very big, they only offer a few sandwiches such as- Bass,Tilapia,Catfish, trout or Whitning. You can get the sandwich +basket with fries for $7.00-7.50 with is not a bad deal for fries and a sandwich. You can also get a drink like a bottle of water for $1.00 or a can of soda $1.50. They also offer Chicken Wings.Five-twenty wings for $8.00-27.00 or even side dishes like Cole slaw, hush puppies, fried okra or French fries for $1.50.The atmosphere here is good the older gentlemen who takes your order(might be the owner) is very nice and helpful and tells you to take your time. I orders the Tilapia sandwich witch comes with a few pieces of fish(4) and a piece of sandwich bread and some fries's,all the condiments(ketchup, mausterd and hot sauce0 are on the table and the food is served in a to go box with fork and knive wrapped in a napkin. They also have Combos one has your choice of fish, six jumbo shrimp, bread, fries and two hush puppies for $14.00 bucks. The other combo is only $9.95 and comes with fish, three jumbo shrimp, bread, fries, and two hush puppies, sounds like good combos for a decent price. I gave this place four stars because 1) There fish sandwich come with nothing but the fish and bread and a white sauce on the side, they could add some tomatoes and lettuce to the sandwich 2) They are closed Sunday and Monday, personally I cant imagine any business surviving on only being open 5 days a week 3) The menu is not very long witch is a good thing and bad thing because it is simple but yet he could add a few more items to make it more exciting but nothing to crazy. They are open only 5 days a week, Tuesday-Saturday. 11am-6pm on Tuesday thru Thursday and 11am-9pm on Friday and Saturday. I will definitely be back to give them a shot again and try there wings , they also have some of the "best ribs in town" that is another option for next time sense the time I went was a Friday and being that it is Lent I was not able to try anything else but fish. Best moment here is when the gentlemen that took my order (might be the owner) ask me ''What kind of fish you are eating? Be back fish, he got me there but funny.
This is a simple, down home southern fish house. Mr. Gordon welcomes every customer with a smile and cheerful greeting. The offerings are simple and tasty. Always a selection of white fish that generally inlcudes catfish, trout, whiting, tilapia and Basa (a type of catfish). Currently, even offers mullet - never had it but it's on wishlist. The seasoning is just perfect, all fish are breaded with a cornmeal crust and fried to perfection...served piping hot and never greasy. The 2 primary offerings are a fish sandwich or the basket. The fish sandwich comes with 2 slices of bread and 3 nice sized fillets. The basket adds a generous helping of french fries. All orders come with the standard, house made tartar sauce. On the tables you will find an excellent vinegar based hot sauce. With a drink, works out to less than $10 - can't beat it! This place is now one of our regular weekly lunch spots.
Hard to tell with we loved more, the food or the chef and owner: all were amazing. Home-cooked from scratch and delicious, the fish baskets were a big hit as were the hush puppies which were the best we'd ever eaten. We'll definitely be back.
