4 stars for drinking. This bar had the most activity we have seen in the area. $2-$3.25 beers are great. You can watch the fish hanging around the docks. Good music and atmosphere. The mechanical pig is hilarious. Pool table and a few areas to hang out for different vibe

Nice stop when in Islamorada. Live bands, fun drinks, and good food! You can bring your catch of the day to the restaurant and then will cook it for you!!

Not bad. Great place if you need a break from sea food. I'm from the Midwest originally and I was really missing BBQ so I stopped here. The beer was cold, the view was lovely and the service was great. Conch fritters were piping hot and delicious. As for their famous St Louis style ribs, they are as tender as promised and the sauce is spot on... however in order to be "St.Louis style" there should be a dry rub on the ribs, there isnt. In my opnion the lack of dry rub resulted in a lack of flavor.

Stopped here last year for a quick lunch on the way out of the Keys and made our way back this year. Great burgers - we had the Cuban and the Black n Blue burger. The onion rings were excellent as well. The back patio is the best place to enjoy a meal. What a view! Great place to come on your boat as well! I've only been there for lunch, but it looks like it'd also be a great place for happy hour and late-night fun. We'll definitely be back!

Contrary to what the name might lead you to believe, there isn't much by way of pork products here. They do, however, have an awesome little lagoon area and a great outdoor bar/patio that affords some awesome views of the ocean. + Tons of outdoor seating + Lots of shade available - Small outdoor bar area; seats maybe 15 people + Decent beer list; reasonable prices - Were out of many of the taps + Typical bar-fare menu - Not much by way of BBQ or pork; pork wings are huge bone-in pieces of pork (3 for $12.95) + Hot and mild BBQ sauces were good + Excellent Patty Melt sandwich + Potato skins appear to be house made and not the freezer-variety - Fish tacos come on hard purple taco shells; fish was lacking in quantity and was way over-cooked The biggest ding is for the service. We were there during a really slow lunch period and our server goofed-up more than he got right. Forgot waters, despite asking for them twice. Got us too many beers. Never came by to offer additional assistance - we had to ask a different server for our checks. So... come here for some drinks and a lovely view. Food is decent, but not unique. Service left much to be desired.

Atmosphere is very cool, you can sit outside by the water which has a little marina where you can dock your boat to eat lunch as well. There are tons of fish to watch near here which is always fun. If you sit outside, just be prepared the further you sit the longer you will wait. We had some time so it didn't bother us. Just make sure you're not in a hurry if you are I would sit by the bar. We had the Cuban burger and fish of the day appetizer which was Mahi Mahi blackened. These were very good, you only get 3 strips so not a good option if you want an appetizer as a meal. The burger was juicy and delicious. We got a side of the "special sauce" aka thousand Island to dip it in and it was the perfect addition! All around a very cool place to see with pretty good food.

Went here late at night with my wife on our honeymoon and it was amazing!! The food was great and the outdoor scenery is amazing with the fish and the water glowing!!! Also they have a spot lounge out in the sand it is really nice!!!!

Went for lunch on a Monday. Sat outside by the water view amazing. By far the best conch fritters I have had..our server was Tiffany or Tracy she was very friendly..they have a lot of items on menu to choose from.

I KNEW IT!!! I have lived in Marathon for 4 years an have driven by this place countless times. I have always wanted to check it out. Am I glad we did. Roni greeted us in a very timely manner and took care of our every need. This place has a great "locals" feel to it. If you live here you understand why that is more important than tiki huts, coconuts and umbrellas in your drinks. Thanks again Roni for the fabulous relaxing experience!!! We will be back

We had a great time when we went there. The view was amazing and they didn't hassle us to hurry and leave. We had everything from the "pig wings" to dolphin to burgers. Out of 8 of us, everyone really enjoyed there meals and drinks. The wait staff was very accommodating and made sure that our drinks never got empty. They even let us start getting pitchers of our favorite drinks. Stop by you won't regret it!

We arrived exactly at 1110 and it was closed... the group next to us looked at a staff member and asked "are you open?" The staff member said " we open at eleven"... then we replied, "it's 1110!" The food was ok; had the conch fritters and dolphin sandwiches. We stopped to eat at Hog Heaven because the Grill next door was closed.

We stay nearby every year and we end up eating here almost daily; whether it's lunch or late night munchies. The food is good and they even accommodate my healthy eating-they'll make grilled fish fingers instead of fried :) Added bonus: the mechanical pig makes for an entertaining evening of people watching

Considering I've been coming here for almost 20 years I guess It's about time I write a review for "The Hog". This place is an upper keys institution. It's got the requisite location on the water so you can drive up in your boat. It's a great place to grab lunch and watch a game after a morning of boating It's mostly bar food here but it's actually pretty good, especially the wings. What really makes the Hog famous though is that it is the longest running late night party in Islamorada. Every Friday and Saturday this lazy sports bar cranks up the bass and has a DJ kicking it until 4AM. There's no velvet rope here so flip flops and shorts are welcome. With the cheap drinks slung here it's pretty easy to have a wild and crazy night at the Hog. I don't know personally, but I "hear" you can also be violently escorted out for being too rowdy...ahem I've seen them set up a "bull riding" on a barrel over the water and needless to say it's hilarious. They also have various live bands and theme nights as well. Overall this place is a great time and pretty much the only game in town so when in Rome....head to the HOG!

  • Steve J.

Went back to the hog again...what a surprise..our server amber was amazing and there was no sign of that barnyard animal Edna...thank the lord...I did witness a fight comparable to the LA riots...but we survived ....max the bartender sucked donkey balls....he reminded me of cliff clavin from cheers...a know it all...go to the other bar if he is working

  • Jimena V.

Great place to watch the games on a Sunday! Multiple screens, good food (wings were amazing), good service and topped with a beautiful view - a perfect Sunday afternoon!!

  • Kate W.

This is the most fun place for a night out in the upper keys but they desperately need more bartenders! Went here on the Friday of July 4th weekend and it was a really miserable experience. Everyone had to wait 30+ minutes for a drink and I saw many people give up and leave. They only had two girls (who looked miserable) at the main bar and the place was packed. Also the tabs aren't itemized and many people are undercharged/ overcharged because the bartenders are too busy to accurately keep track. They have to be losing tons of business!

We stopped here because we needed somewhere open late on our drive through the Keys. We didn't get here until almost midnight, which apparently is when this country dive bar becomes a dance club. The music was so loud RJ and I could not hear a word each other was saying. We eventually just gave up and he watched basketball and I watched hockey. We ordered Fried Mac and Cheese bites which were very bland, RJ ordered the Blackened Mahi sandiwich and I ordered the Fish Tacos. He said his sandwich was ok, and the fish in my tacos was very good, but the mandarin oranges were weird. It was too cold to sit outside, and unfortunately smoking is allowed inside. We didn't stay any longer than we had to.

Waitress killed this one. Ok bar food. Menu was clever. View is killed by trees blocking ocean.

Awesome outside bar and dinning area. Some of the nicest bar staff I've met. Fast and friendly. There is a great inside/outside BAR, but don't expect high class cuisine. Happy hour is 3-7pm and has half priced beer and $.50 wings. Great place to catch a game and have a beer. Boat docks next to bar. I didn't give 5 stars because the food was average. However good people and location on the water make up for the average food.

    (4)
  • Michael B.

The Hog! Do not go here expecting anything better than bar food. That being said, the bar food is well executed, they are open late, frequently have the best weekend night crowd, and have a nice little peninsula where you can walk away from it all.

  • George I.

The outdoor seating is nice, the funny decor definitely gives the place some character, the staff are so laid back that they maybe too "dude" for some. The reason this place gets 4stars is because the food was really good! I highly recommend the Fish Reuben sandwich it was beyond delicious! My mouth is watering just typing this review!

Went to Hog Heaven on the first Saturday night we were on vacation. We are late eaters and found this to be one of the places that served food late, in fact basically all night. The bar is definitely some what like a dive bar, but who cares. They have a great back outdoor deck right on the water.. The conch fritters are awesome with that amazing sauce they come with. My boyfriend and I shared the seafood platter for two which was perfect. I don't know how they make the potatoes but they were awesome! They had a band playing which was also great. I would definitely recommend Hog Heaven, but don't go in thinking this is fine dining. This is awesome late night bar food and fun!

I've been patronizing this joint for many, many moons. On this visit I ducked in with legendary local D.J. Dave for some fun and games and was I glad I did, here's why: * Multi-generational crowd having fun with good energy * Inside and massive outside sections for fun and games * On the water * Inspiration Point where you can take a romantic stroll with someone you just met * Lots of drinking and frivolity and associated goings-on Just be careful of attractive patrons who jump you from behind because landing nose down on the gravel can leave a mark. Cabeza OUT!

    (4)
  • Kelly H.

The place was dead inside, but as soon as we stepped through the doors that lead to the outside deck, we found where all the people were. It's a nice place right on the water. They had a good selection of beers to choose from at good prices. I had some sort of beer brewed in Key West, Rock Red Ale I think it was called, which I really enjoyed. We also ordered a few appetizers that were pretty good and came out quickly. The actual entrees that were coming out to other tables looked really good, so if I ever find myself back in town I'd like to eat there for lunch or dinner.

Great deck, private beach and huge burgers with cheap beer :). Nothing special about food but the super low key and laid back atmosphere is outstanding. Enjoy reading funny bumper stickers and interesting decors!

  • Jamee A.

Kind of a bummer... great fun atmosphere. Wait staff was short staffed as was the kitchen, which was apparent by our almost 2 1/2 hour wait for our meals. Food flavor was good and very large portions but about half our orders were wrong, and 2 of our 13 orders were not even entered. I'd definetly steer clear if a bigger group, but smaller groups will hopefully have a better experience.

  • Pauline H.

Conch fritters are yummy! Also tried the pulled pork which was tender and delicious! The food did not disappoint as well as their Pina Collada - which was strong but good! Lay outside on a lounge chair, sit inside and cool off, or sit outside right on the water. They have lounge chairs set in a private cove like spot where you can enjoy an unobstructed view of all the water sports going on around the Keys and a beautiful view of the coastline. Service was alright, the waitress neglected to bring two items I asked for as if I never mentioned them, but overall I very much enjoyed my visit here!

Perhaps it was the night we stopped by but on Sunday night it was hip hop night with a bunch of wanna be's. It reminded me of my college days, drunk chicks on the bar dancing and white guys trying to step. Haha. The bartender and security were nice. There was an outdoor area and an indoor area with a wrap around bar and 2 billiard tables. Fairly average prices. Open til 4am.

  • M. S.

Not recommending this place because the food was so bad. The food looked and tasted like it came out of a box. I was very disappointed to say the least. The view was beautiful but that's all I can say that I liked. Please look into making your food better.

  • Carol. B.

I have passed by this restaurant many times and never went in.. Sorry I did tonight. The service was almost non existent and the food mediocre at best. Manager was to busy putting on makeup and brushing her hair to talk to a customer that was not happy. Save yourself from disappointment to many other good places to eat in Islamorada!

On a recent trip to Largo, our great friend who frequents this bar suggested we come here. OMG, so glad we did. This bar is filled with locals, and is quite large inside. We walked straight outside to the back where there is a bar with a great view. You can pull right up with your boat. The night we came it was a full moon and the glow on the water was breathtaking. They have a large walkway where you can walk over to a grass area and have a romantic stroll or just lay on the grass or sit in the chairs for peace and serenity, while enjoying the fabulous views. The DJ was spinning some great tunes which made it very hard to stand still. Our bartender was cool and he took good care of us. We ordered some food such as conch fritters, fries, etc.... All of the food was your typical bar food. While indulging in drinking the greasy food taste oh so good. I had a local beer which was light and refreshing. What to love about this place: Great music Fun local crowd Good beer menu Friendly bartenders Good bar food Incredible views Just a laid back fun place! As we were hanging out a local walked up to my daughter as it was cinch de mayo and she had a very large sombrero on. He offered her $50 for her sombrero. Oh how she loved it and did not want to part with it. But mama did not raise a fool, she waited for her $50 cash and took her sombrero off and gave it to the cool fun local dude. We all had so much fun here! Thank you Chris C. for taking us here, great time was had by all, well not Patrick L. he was asleep in the truck in the parking lot.....bahahahaha you missed all the fun! This is a must go to bar if in the area. Shoot I liked it so much I would make the drive just to go here again! Go, go now you will have a great time!

Ordered a full rack of ribs. Received 8 bones. I called back and the manager lady stated this was their whole rack and doesn't know what to tell me. Pretty rude. Also the crab bisque had imitation crab meat. They were annoyed I asked for a manager. It is the season here so they really don't care.

On a Thursday afternoon, I sat out in the back bar that overlooks the cove that leads to the gulf. I ordered a tap of beer that was warm, and switched over to a very cold bottled alternative. I ordered some BBQ'd ribs and some pulled pork. The ribs stood out. Very tasty. The meal comes with fries and coleslaw. The outdoor section has a nice view of the water, and TV's strategically placed around the bar. The locals seemed very comfortable here. I walked through the indoor section, which was very sports-bar-ish. There were lots of TV's with places to sit, as well as a huge bar.

I spent the better part of 4 years tracking down an old friend, for a guerrilla warfare-style biography that took me all along the gulf coast and eventually spun me out one night at Hog Heaven. The place reminded me how great people are in general. No pretensions, just down to earth service. The food was legit. I was too far in my Saturday cups to try the conch fritters but I did manage a couple fish tacos that treated me right. My buddy had come and gone but I hung out late, taking on the mechanical pig, shooting a respectable round of pool, and sampling an array of cocktails (decent prices!) that each had their merits, the sum of which turned me into a devastating presence on the dance floor. This is a great place to stumble upon. All should try.

Having spent 4 days in Islamorada trying to find a place to eat that wasn't trying to be something it wasn't we hit Hog Heaven in the middle of a down pour. It's a bar with bar food and it was everything it said it was, and more. We had a few a few glasses of wine and local beer and couple of burgers. The service was great and so was the food. I even had a local guy come over and compliment me on an old tattoo on my arm. He was drunk and the tattoo isn't that good, but hey I'll take a good word from anyone! The outside bar to the rear is built on their own dock which added to the feel of the place. I'd go back to the Hog before any bar and restaurant in the area if I came again. Wish I had time to visit in the evening when it warms up. 2 glasses of wine, 3 local beers and two huge burgers for $40. Can't go wrong there!

Once you get past the cheesy '80s sign, the Hog is actually a sweet spot. I ignored this place too long due to their signage, assuming the place would be a dive...BUT, it's not! It's actually very nice (for a bar), has really good (bar) food, and great prices to boot. They have darts, pool, a stage, boat parking, outdoor seating, and tons of TVs. The beer list is the best in the Islamorada. Granted, that's not saying much necessarily, but they have the usual macros and some decent semi-micros. I recommend siting at the bar, as the bartenders are really the only service staff that know what's going on, as they've been there for a while. Max is a HUGE Pittsburgh Pirates fan, and can give you the stats and trade history of just about every player that's been around since the 60s. Amber will hook you up with her signature "Amber Alerts", and Shane will tell you some good stories about the Keys. Sit at the bar. For food, the salads here are a great deal. I also like their blackened grilled chicken sandwich, with a side of buffalo. I love the steamed broccoli here (weird right?) so I highly recommend you sub it for your side (and bonus, less guilt!) We also like the fish Reuben for something "different". Oh and last but certainly not least, they're open late, and serving food, until 3:30AM every night! By far the latest late night in the area. To the owners...change your sign. I live 250 yards away, and it took me 2 months to wander in because that sign does absolutely no justice to your restaurant. You're easily 2x better than Smugglers or Island Grill, but people judge you because of your sign.

  • Charlie J.

Nice view. Ribs were good. The key lime pie was not as good as the ones you find in Key West. It's on okay stop for lunch if you must.

  • Jane D.

Location! They have good food and a great atmosphere. It has indoor and outdoor seating right on the water. Its enjoyable to set awhile and watch the boats coming in and out while you have a relaxing lunch or dinner. The service was good, Im looking forward to going again.

  • Dennis S.

Decent bar food. Cool back area with dock/marina that you can stare over while taking down some pretty cheap beers. Locals come in and out so if you want some local flavor, it's a definite stop.

    (4)
  • Tori S.

Fun spot, relaxing atmosphere, great view, blocked from the wind, boat access and a little beach! Food was pretty good, service was pretty slow...we just went to the bar whenever we needed anything rather than waiting for the waiter ...

  • Curt R.

We went to this restaurant twice, and both times we were not even served! We waited for a half hour the first time and eventually searched out a server and put in our order. A week later we decided to give them another try with the same results. We sat for about 15 minutes without being greeted and decided to leave. This earns them zero stars.

  • Stephanie R.

We stopped here on the way down to Key Dives to grab some lunch; so if you're reading this to find out about their night/dinner scene this probably won't be of much use to you. The inside was very clean but slightly reeked of bleach so we opted to sit on their marina. It was a pleasant spot and you could watch the fish swim under the dock while you ate. The waitress was very attentive, the food came out quick, and the manager stopped by at least twice to make sure everything was ok. Our food was adequate and just what we were looking for (we all got some sort of burger or sandwich). It was an overall very good experience. Would recommend as a quick lunch stop.

Thanks Yelpers! You found another great little spot for my trips down the Keys. Hog Heaven is set back off of US1 so it's easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and give it a look (at least during happy hour). Excellent drinks, nice little boat dock, and friendly staff. Yay pigs!

Great Happy Hour and Great Fresh Fish, prob my fav bar in all the lower keys

  • Mary ann R.

We go to the Keys quite often and wanted to try Hog Heaven because we have driven by the sign on the highway so many times. Today was the day and is now checked off the list and crossed off with a Sharpie. Horrible service, long wait for food, and the food was mediocre at best and horribly over charged. I had the fish sandwich which had a small piece of previously frozen mahi and fries, hubby had the flsh basket with the same type of mahi fillet. We sat at the bar inside and the waiter/bar tender kept telling the other staff how tired he was as they worked. As we were finally served, he got his lunch and sat directly in front of and started to eat ... This was even a bad experience for the Keys and we give a lot of latitude for the area.

Mostly good. Friendly staff and a decent menu. Conch fritters Are good but a little overpriced at 8.95. The one thing from the menu I would suggest you steer clear of are the fish tacos. I ordered them to go but was back at the boat within minutes and when I opened the container the blue corn hard taco shells had turned to mostly mush. They were supposed to have Asian slaw and "oranges" inside. The oranges were mandarin oranges from a can and the slaw was pretty much undetectable except for a few shreds of cabbage devoid of flavor. I can't really take Hog Heaven to task for one crappy menu item. They do have lots of other tasty things to order. Plus you won't find another place in the upper keys that serves food until 3:00 am! Chris

  • Chris C.

By land or sea this is my go to bar in the keys. Easy to pull in by boat to grab some lunch and even easier to find at night for a more liquid diet. They have a great dock bar area with a floating platform for live bands. If you want to get away from the crowd follow the dock to the left and you will end up on a little island where you can drop into a lounge chair and let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep (not joking, it's easy to fall asleep out there). Food-wise, it's your typical keys bar food, which means normal bar food and seafood. One thing that is pretty cool, if you bring in fish you caught, they will cook it for you. Between the food, music, drink and people, Hog Heaven reminds me why I go to the keys, every time I stop by.

We stop by Hog Heaven every year on the way to our yearly vacation in Islamorada It is a sports bar with a view. If you sit inside, you can watch all kids of sports on TV. Outside, you can sit by the boat basin and feel like you are really in the Keys. All of the food we have had is good, especially for the price. Fish sandwich is awesome. My son alsways like the chicken wings. Anything you order is exactly what it says. Not gourmet, but just good food. Serive has always been good. I would recommend this for anyone needing to stop for lunch or dinner. Just ecactly what it says it is.

Happy hour from 3-7. Great deals on drinks and food. Bring your catch and they will cook it for you.

Open Late!!!! Serving food until 3:30am!!!! We arrived late on a Friday night to find that all the local restaurants stop serving food at 10pm, ruh roh, it's 9:45!!! Thankfully one of the other restaurants recommended we check out Hog Heaven, and we were so happy we did. Andre was our server and was amazing, he took great care of us. Their conch fritters are the BEST in the Keys. After we ate theirs we decided we had to try fritters at every place we ate, and Hog Heaven has the #1 choice! They have a special sauce that goes along with it, deeeelish. On a Friday they have the hog ride (like a bull ride but it's a hog) that they set up on a float in the middle of the bay. There are obviously a lot of locals who come to the bar for a go on this attraction, it seemed to be the same five people going on it time after time- which was fine, it was fun to watch! Outside is local, tropical music and inside is like a rave, people are certainly getting dirty on that dance floor. I would stop by, it's ideal for people watching and grabbing a bite when nothing else is open.

Great service and food!! Had a great time, and the food was fantastic!! We will definitely come back, one of those places that you normally would pass by. But don't!! You will miss out on one of the best places in the area!!

An awesome find, the owner at our motel suggested that we head there after a late night arrival for aome food.... Not a mistake. We went here 2 nights in a row and were not dissapointed. Food was great and the staff was awesome. We will definately stop back on our next trip

Worse service ever! Waited 30 mins before we decided to go get our own drinks. There are lots of other places with a water view which have good drinks and much better service. Not going or recommending this place to anyone.

Worst service ever! Waited 30 min before I said "screw this place" the family sitting by us was also getting frustrated, & an older couple a few tables up looked very pissed off. Before leaving I tried to get service at the bar, the guy practically rolled his eyes. Restataunt packed. Here's an idea, maybe hire some wait staff?

Don't let the outside fool you! The tacky looking entrance to this restaurant made us unsure of our choice, but they have an incredible outside patio! Right on the water, they even have their own little beach at the end of the dock! Awesome decor; perfect tiki theme. We just ordered some drinks and dessert, plenty of beer on tap was a relief to see. The key lime pie was pretty good, (but a small piece for what you pay). We will definitely be back again.

Classic sports bar cuisine with a dive bar scene. We ended up here because it is one of two places in the area open late ... til 4am. After searching a bit, we got there around 2am on Friday night and sat at the bar. The music was awesome and the crowd of local 20-somethings were dancing, drinking and having a great time! We ordered beers and chicken tenders, nachos, and sliders. The chicken tenders were served with a side of honey mustard and exceptionally delicious...I think it was the batter. The nachos were piled high and topped with chili, cheese, jalapenos, and the other standard toppings & served with a side of sour cream & salsa. The hamburger sliders (3) were cooked to order & very tastey and served with a side of fries. Good times & great muchies -

I heard about this place on Trip Advisor and wrote it down as an option to stop at between Miami and Key West. For a sports bar, I thought it was a very nice place, well decorated with a nice outside seating area on the water where boats can dock. The service was excellent. The food was great. My salad was very fresh and my ribs were cooked well, seasoned well and had no fat at all.

If the weather is nice, sit outside, the view is fantastic. Totally unexpected from the look it has from the highway.

Went here Thursday night and had a fun time enjoying a bluesy band, eating the yummy, old bay seasoned peel and eat shrimp. The wings were very tasty and not fatty. The mahi sandwich was just OK, but the beers were a great deal - $2.75! We really enjoying their Hog IPA. We sat on the back deck and watched the fish playing in the water too. Very chill place with a good local feel. It wasn't crowded when we were there, but I got the feeling it's more of a late night stop. If we weren't wiped out from being in the sun all day, we would've stayed and enjoyed the place longer. I'd go again.

  • Jay Y.

Happy hour 3-7 awesome drinks and food specials. Went twice to this place and loved it both times. Probably the best for good chillin fun and drinks. The crowd was locals and you can tell by the bar stories that were being told or at least the"Fish Tales". Great outdoor patio view. Did not order entrees...cannot comment.

Nice little place next to the tiki bar in Isla Morada. The mini corn dogs are really good I would recommend them. The artic grape drink that they have is also really good which made me want to find grape bacardi to make this at home. The prices are also good which is always nice. It is also pretty large so you don't really have to wait for a table and they have tv's playing games. We went during the olympics and they were playing the games which was nice. I would love to go back and try again!

We stopped a man on the street and asked about a good spot for a hamburger. It was Hog Heaven. It is a great local place that was all open and right on the water. Very friendly staff. We had a fish taco which was probably not the thing to have. It was OK. We should have stuck to a burger. Anyway, it was such a find that we would go for the view and atmosphere.

Ok so it appears as though I'll be the first to give this place 5 stars but based on my one experience (which it seems others wrote reviews by) I loved it. As a matter of fact, all four of the people in our group loved it. I can't believe as many times as I have been to the keys I've never stopped in. We went on a friday evening, around 7 or so and unlike many of the reviews I've read, I found this place rather tranquil and relaxing (far from Road House). Maybe there has been some remodeling or perhaps a new owner? Not sure, but we went outside and there was a pleasent older crowd and it was pretty quiet with the radio playing a variety of music. We all ordered seafood, Mahi sandwiches and a caesar wrap. Everything was delicious! I had never thought of eating blackened mahi and a caesar salad as a wrap but I tried it and it was surprisingly amazing. And of course the french fries, my favorite food, were great too. The cole slaw was the only thing which was a little bland. Not to forget, we happened to stroll in during happy hour (which I believe is mon-fri 4-8) and beers were 1/2 off which in the keys equals super cheap. Miller light and coors were $1.40 a bottle and usually pricier beers like Heinekin and Corona were $2.10. Can't beat that. Our server was really nice. She was not only friendly but also didn't mind us walking around the huge deck (that leads out to a beachy area) while we were waiting on our food and afterward. When we were finished eating, our waitress even threw the extra food into the water so people could check out all the fish fighting over it. Overall I had a great time here but next time I'd like to take advantage of the open quarter tables and play some pool. The reoccurring word in others reviews: NASCAR may be a time to avoid this bar but on a normal night it's a great place to stop in and have dinner and drinks.

Stayed in Islamorada for a week and wanted to try to find something fun to do at night. This was definitely it!! Most of the upper keys are pretty laid back so it was nice to find a place that's open late and that's fun. They are open til 4 AM everyday and serve food til 3 AM. They have an inside bar with pool tables and on Thursday nights they have karaoke that we took advantage of. We ordered some appetizers one night and they were delicious. We had never tried conch fritters and were curious to try them. AMAZING!! We also had the loaded nachos which were yummy too! The outside bar is so much fun and is right on a deck. You can pay 25 cents to feed the fish and watch them go crazy or just wait til a waitress throws them some leftovers. One of the coolest parts is that if you follow the dock, they have their own private beach that you can bring your drinks to and sit in the chairs. If you have a boat, you can also dock the boat and stop in for lunch which is really cool. If you are looking for something fun to do late at night, go to Hog Heaven!!!

Great place to hang out with friends. You have to try the Belly Buster sandwich, it goes down great with a cold beverage. The staff is very friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will be defintely going back.

Made a quick pit-stop here on my out of Islamorada. The Hog IPA & our ridiculously nice n' cute waitress were the best Hog Heaven had to offer that day. I ordered the fish finger basket. It was nice but not spectacular. I really recommend Hog IPA & visiting Erica, the waitress. Yo no se?!?! :^/

I love this place! It's an off the beaten track sort of locals dive, but the place is great! It's right on the water with its own swimming and beach area and place to pull your boat right up to the bar. The food is delicious and the bartenders and wait staff are friendly, helpful, welcoming, and fun. Best of all, the place serves a full menu until 4 a.m. After our wedding was over and all the presents had been loaded into the car, we realized we had barely eaten at the reception. Our hotel recommended Hog Heaven, so we struck out there in our wedding attire. The locals applauded and congratulated us and we sat in our white clothes and ate a burger at the back outside bar. It's the Keys...what could be more perfect? We went back many times during our stay and aside from the bathrooms needing a little more cleaning attention, we have no complaints. I can see why the locals love it here. Check out their dinner specials. Worth it!

Nothing special in my opinion...I just had a quick, good beer though during happy hour.

Oh Hog Heaven ... the billboard is quiet eye catching and gives fair warning about the type of place this is ... NASCAR dive bar ... not my thing to say the least. Heard they had live music and a local said it was a fun place, so we ventured in. The band was setting up, so we grabbed a pitcher. A warm pitcher, who sells warm beer? The back deck was nice, so we took a seat and waited, waited, waited ... no band. We finished the pitcher and headed out. Nice back deck, but the appeal ends there.

Did the waiter just say $9 for a vodka tonic and a beer? We are not in Miami any more. Hog Heaven is key largos go to place to mix with the locals. With the DJ spinning music from a Cadillac convertible and pool tables available for a hand full of change this place is FUN! If you want to get some distance from the loud music there is a romantic setting outside on the dock. Hog Heaven will be sure to have you leaving the keys with unforgettable memories!

If you want to see people out passed 10:00 pm. They are here. A true Dive bar complete with NASCAR styled car on the roof. If you have a group of people and just want to go out it is fine. Do not go by yourself or you are looking for trouble. The locals do not like the outsiders coming in and trying to buddy up to the locals. I have seen some bad fights here and never bring your girl with you or every boathand in the place will have something to say. Especially if she is attractive. Go as a pack and I would say go only with the guys.

The "Hog" as it is locally referred to is a great Upper Keys Sports Bar. Inside seating or outside right on the water is always available. There is plenty of dock space if you want to come by water. Bikers are welcomed. Usually in the Keys if you are not on the water you better have great food. If you are on the water that standard is relaxed. The 'Hog" is on the water and has a great menu. It is not a gormet restaurant and doesn't try to be. It has excellant food at a fair price. The Jerked skirt steak is real tasty and will fill up the most hungry. It's kitchen is open well past midnight. They have a gazillion TVs and can pull in most any sporting event. It's a great slice of the Keys. Well worth the stop.

Very casual, right on the water. Walk right through the empty indoor dining area to the outdoor deck. A little worn-out, dusty & dated, but very relaxed with great service, funny! cleverly written menu with more than a little bit of everything to please everyone in our group. Drinks were good and cold. Could have easily spent the whole afternoon there.
