Recently ate here twice during our vacation (stayed at La Jolla Motel which is in walking distance). Our son said the Caesar salad was the best he has ever had. We really enjoyed the gyros and Greek salads. Great deal too. Thanks for hacking open the fresh coconuts on your car for us! We loved the coconut water.
No frills place. But do not be fooled by the strip mall location; they are authentic and make good food. Highly recommend the Chicken Pineapple salad.
Delicious. I had the Mahi burrito special and it was one of the best meals I had on the keys. The place is chill and more of a fast food style where you order at a counter and they bring it to your table. Prices were moderate.

Reviews:
What a great find! Yelp reviews led us here, but our experience will bring us back - probably a few times. We tried Bitton for breakfast, ordering forestiere and lorraine crepes, a cafe au lait, iced cappuccino and a grapefruit juice. Fantastic. Everything. Very generous servings and all very well done. We were very impressed and so bought additional cakes and pastries to go, which were delicious also. As we were relatively early in the day, we passed on gelato, but decided to call in on our way back to Islamorada from Key Largo a day later. The door was locked as I guess they had recently closed, but the owner was still in the restaurant and re-opened for a few minutes so my wife and I could get gelato. Really very kind and generous and the gelato was excellent, too. Very highly recommended - excellent, authentic food and wonderful, friendly service.
I was lucky to find out about this place! I came for breakfast and tried the Banania crepe - bananas and Nutella inside, drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was delicious, and I think there was the equivalent of a whole banana in there. The only drawback was the crepe was not actually hot - it was barely warm - so I wonder if it was not freshly prepared. It did come quickly, too - and this does seem to be a one-man show as far as food prep goes, so perhaps some corners are cut in this way. I'd be happy to wait for fresh food, but I suppose practicality won in this case. The hot chocolate does not come from a packet, it's made with real ground chocolate, and with thick homemade whipped cream on top, it was a wonderful treat and reminded me of the same in France. The one true downside for me was that although they have a "Croque Matin" on the menu (which was described as having the same ingredients as a Croque Monsieur", and they DO serve eggs in some of their savory crepes, they would not make a Croque Madame when I asked. It may that they ONLY scramble their eggs, but it is such a small request, I was surprised to be told no. Again, perhaps another way to preserve the chef's time. My small disappointment aside, I recommend this bakery/bistro nonetheless because the food was wonderful and everything is homemade. Just don't ask for anything not on the menu. ;)
We found this wondrous place quite by accident at the end of a stay in Islamorada. Magnificent accident! It is, in our opinion, the best breakfast in the keys, and you can throw in Miami too. If you are choosy about food, this should be your destination whenever you are in the Keys. The French owner/chef makes everything himself. The croissants are to die for, light, fluffy and fresh tasting. The buckwheat crepes are truly specially: savory, light as a feather. And the coffee - cafe au lait or espresso - magnificent! You can take home amazingly crisp baguettes, and pastries that will make you feel like you are in Paris for the first time. We were staying in Key Largo this trip, and decided to make the 40-mile round trip for breakfast. Frankly, we might consider coming here for breakfast from Miami! Oh, they have lunch too. That's all. We're at the counter now, selecting pastries to take to our friends who did not come with us.

A great little place run by a fisherman. A locals' kinda place serving breakfast all day, yet have a great lunch menu as well. If going before lunch, you may want to set your clock to be there before 11am -- the lunch buch is a crowded lot. If you fish a lot from the Islamorada region, you may find your photo on the wall.
My wife and I hired Mangrove Mike's to cater our wedding weekend after visiting with several other Keys caterers that did not seem as friendly, flexible, and helpful as Mangrove Mike's. We hired them for three separate events for 120 people over the course of our wedding weekend. Mike sent Summer to not only help out with the catering, but pretty much every aspect of the wedding. They arranged all of the tent, tables, etc. rentals for the outdoor wedding and took care of all of the logistics saving us a ton of time and headaches. Summer was amazing and helped us pull together the event seamlessly even solving last minute logistical problems that had nothing to do with them or their services. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and were really a part of the wedding. Did I mention how awesome the food was! All of the fish and seafood was amazing (including a great raw bar), key lime pie outstanding, and he even had a secret recipe for some knockout rum punch that everyone loved at the cocktail hour. We could not have done it without Mike and Summer and strongly recommend you check them out for your wedding or event... or just for a great breakfast or lunch. Thanks Mike! Thanks Summer!
Great breakfast/brunch spot. Service was excellent. My hungover friends especially enjoyed Mangrove Mike's specialty hangover cure: sausage gravy over home fries. I left full and happy.

Reviews:
We had a family birthday celebration at SALT last night with six of sharing small plates and entrees. While eating in the Keys is often great due to the abundant fresh fish and casual ambience, we all found SALT to be a wonderful addition to the mix. The ambience is still casual but a a bit more contemporary. I'm not a good amateur food critic but everything we ordered was delicious and most plates were combinations of foods, spices, sauces, etc. that you will have rarely if ever eaten together. All were very tasty and beautifully presented. I will also add that the entire staff was friendly, provided great service, and did nothing but add to our whole evening. If you want to try a place a solid cut above most "finer" restaurants you should try SALT!
Wow!!! We have two kids with severe food allergies, and are also foodies. The sword fish was the best I have ever had!! My son couldn't eat some sides due to his allergies so the chef made him tater tots- those were the best that 11 year old ever had. The dark and stories were incredible as they make their own ginger beer. Great place! Highly recommended.
This place is amazing and unexpected for being located in the Keys. Good for families or for a romantic dinner. Service is always great and servers are knowledgeable. We have been back a few times just because we can't get enough. My favorites are the homemade ginger beer, the scallop entree and the steak - which was incredible! I have tried many things on the menu and haven't had a single thing I didn't like. I can't wait to go back!

A casual place... Reasonably priced. Great service. They bring you a small loaf of banana bread which was a treat. We had their shrimp and grits that was absolutely flavorful. It's in between the creamy and tomato sauces that I have seen in other locations. Not too spicy. Lots of shrimp. They don't mix the sauce with the grits so you get to enjoy both favors. Prices were very reasonable for the meal as well as our selection of beer to go with the meal. It's not formal dining, but it's spot on for casual beach food. I will be back.
Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. Went with a big group and got to try several different of the shrimp options. All were good but the Key Wet pasta was the star. The shrimp and grits, and the jambalaya both were also something I will definitely go back for. The do have other options such as fish sandwiches, ribs; chicken, and burgers. Portion sizes are quite large a great value for the price. Staff was extremely friendly! Overall very satisfied and will definitely return.
Good inexpensive food. Good drinks, had a piña colada and the strawberry margarita. Homemade key lime pie was pretty good.

My wife and I stopped in to satisfy our Mexican food craving and we weren't disappointed. We especially loved the salsa they served with our chips, as it was more of a pico de gallo sauce with very fresh ingredients. We split a beef Chimichanga, which was a wise decision.......huge portion. The service and atmosphere were very pleasant. We didn't try the margaritas, so I cannot comment on them. Highly recommend this place for a stop!
I was part of an all girls Key Largo getaway and we decided on Mexican food after our drive from the Keys...WOW! The food 'Gods' made it happen for us and we found our way into PV. As stated in earlier reviews..we sat at the bar were immediately and pleasantly greeted by the cute bartender/waitress duo. Our drink orders were taken immediately and shortly after the DELICIOUS salsa and chips were served...YUM!! Each of us ordered a different entree so we could share. Soooo...we had shrimp fajitas (nice sized shrimp AND delish), shrimp enchilada (Delish!), chicken fajitas (LOVED IT..plenty of seasoned onions!) and last but not least..shrimp tacos (YUUUMM)! Great portions and let's not forget the guacamole!! They make it fresh daily and when we ordered it after 6pm...it was still green AND delicious as heck! :) My only con is don't order the 'pre-mixed' drinks. Have the capable bartender create your cocktail to order.
Didn't think it was possible to have such great Mexican food in Florida! But it's amazing! Fresh salsa, tacos served with fresh avocados. Excellent place don't miss it

Beautiful setting, good food and decent service
Awesome place, awesome food, awesome service, excellent live music, the view is beautiful.
Beautiful location, but food was mediocre. Hit and miss on certain dishes. If you are looking for a great lunch spot with a view and feet in the sand, you will love it here. Just don't expect food to be at the quality of its price. YUBI CONCH SALAD - very chewy as conch tends to be on the chewy side anyway. But the flavor was quite bland. SHRIMP CEVICHE - I wish it had more citrus flavor in it. Portion was also small for the price. CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS - This was very good. Sweet soy glaze was delicious. Worth the price! CUBAN SANDWICH - it was decent, but nothing spectacular. Just kind of reminded of a good warm panini. MUSSELS A LA MORADA - quite tasty. Good amount of mussels. Grilled Artisan bread was perfect for the dish. The weather was warm. We chilled with cold beer. Excellent view. There was a live performance. Service was nice. Just wish the food was a bit better.

This is an awesome place to grab a drink right after you check in... Walk a Short distance and you can enjoy their famous rum runners... Get them with the extra "shot"!! They'll get you going :) and definitely get you relaxed and enjoying your stay :D
This is best place for an elevated view of the ocean. They have small tikis on the water where you can have a seat and watch the scenery. A nice place for an afternoon stop.
A must stop if you are in Islamorada, great two story bar with awesome ocean view setting. Drink specials, cold beer right on the water= great spot for happy hour. Not a place for food as the few options seem to be microwaveable foods.

Nice little pit-stop on the way to Key West, this spot has a great view overlooking the water and uber friendly service. I was a little saddened to see that the "fresh crab" sign at the door was just a decoration, but their grilled fish burger made me realize Mahi mahi can actually be juicily tasty, so all's good!
Got there seemed cute at 1st.. Bartender greeted us warmly, waitress takes order, my friend orders the Mac n cheese. From the menue for like 9$ . We ask about the size of the portion, order it . She leaves, we pick up the table top menue the mac n cheese is listed for 3.50. Did she mention this at all when we ordered, of course not, our chips salsa come out. ( heated up tostiots salsa, stale chips) we send it back. We ask why she didn't mention the other portion. Idk why. Her suggestive sales sucked!! Then we questioned her on the flub, she says oh, that's like a child size portion, thanks portion control! It was the grossest thing ever macoronni mush, consistency of mashed potatoes. For a barside meal, Hog I will never stray again. Btw we are not tourists so you def lost a few repeat customers
Very good. Thanks you Terry. We were so fine. The Fish was magnificient and very well made

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much out of a resort restaurant, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the fried green tomato BLT with a tangy aioli that went together perfectly. My sister had an offshoot of a French dip and it was outstanding. My mom wanted something "light" and order the smoked wahoo dip and it was fresh and delicious as well- accompanied with peppers, fresh mustard, capers and the like to enjoy with the fish dip. The service was friendly and prompt, so I recommend coming here even if you're not staying at the resort.
Today is a sunny Sunday afternoon, there is live music playing and a Pig roast is happening outside. The ambience is nice for family with children. They have 2 small to mid size pools and a "tiki bar". The drinks are good..... The service is weird. We were charged right after we ordered our drinks and we hadn't gotten them yet. We were not even asked if we wanted anything else... Felt like they were already kicking us out.
Beautiful setting and wonderful food. Who needs blood pressure meds when you have this place. This outdoor bar/cafe is off the charts good. I had the fried pickles, conch chowder, and Philly Tuna Sandwich. Believe it or not this was the first place I ever tried fried pickles, maybe 8 years ago. Nothing is better than then salty flavor of a sliced pickle that is fried. Problem is that these little fried morsels are so addictive that before you know it they are all gone. They are served with a nice dipping sauce which is jazzed up version of thousand island dressing. they definitely compliment each other. The conch chowder is some of the best I have ever had (see pic). It had a nice kick to it which gave it a good flavor punch. Just delicious. The cherry on top on my sundae was the Tuna Philly Cheese Sandwich (see pic). Man was this sandwich good. The tuna was cooked medium rare with grilled onions, green peppers and cheese. When the sandwich was delivered I was not that impressed. What threw me off was the way the tuna was cooked. I've had a Tuna Philly before but the tuna was cooked throughout not medium rare. You really have to trust your fish when you prepare it this way so I was real spectacle when I first saw it because it looked like a sushi sandwich...lol. Boy oh boy was I ever so wrong. I took a couple of bites of this thing and I was chewing I looked at my wife, then looked at the view of the Atlantic Ocean, looked at my kids and thought this could be the best day of my life:) Just plain awesome on a plate. Service is slow, but hey your in the keys so who really cares. I didn't. The view is to kill, but as stated in the other review the cafe is near a pool so if your looking for a quite romantic dinner you can forget it. Great Vibe, killer conch chowder, a sandwich from the gods, and a view to kill...need I say more:) Yes I do, remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
