I really can't say enough good things about this establishment, the staff, the service and omg the food, especially the Lobster Risotto and the Pork Belly appetizer. You have to make a reservation and try it yourself!
One of Florida's great restaurants. Only thirteen tables, intimate lighting, great service, spectacular food. The duck pate appetizer is one of the best pates I've ever had, and now that it's served with fennel aspic it's even better. Another favorite is the Black Pearl ice cream, which is also a fennel favorite. When we want a romantic dinner, this place is tops on our list.
Excellent food, and the staff was great. My wife and I stopped by for dinner last night, and I couldn't be more pleased. Ron, our server was wonderful and the rest of the staff, including the owner were great. From the pork belly appetizer (that Ron aptly described as "meat candy", to the Lobster Risotto, to the Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie... everything tasted amazing and presented wonderfully. Great job, guys.

La Trattoria Restaurant Da Gaetano

2152 Main St
Dunedin, 34698
Reviews:
Remember that AMAZING dish your Italian Nana made? - It's here! My family has been eating at La Trattoria for nearly 10 years now (which would never happen if it weren't awesome), and I had fallen into a rut of regularly ordering one of the same handful of delicious dishes (it's easy to do when things are sooooooo good). Tonight, however, I resolved to try something I hadn't had before. (Remember, there's no menu - they simply make you whatever you want and - exactly as you want it.) So, I mentioned to Gaetano that my grandmother used to make a dish that had Italian sausage, red peppers, pasta and a few other things, but I couldn't remember any other details. "Oh sure," he said, "That's Positano - you'll love it." Holy cow was he right! That "old-traditional" dish as Gae called it, knocked my socks off it was so awesome! Oh, how I wish that my "foodie" parents and Italian relatives could have tasted it. They would have LOVED it! - They live elsewhere. This succulent, scrumptious dish features meatballs, sausage, red peppers, pasta of your choice, marinara (I had it fra diavlo) and a dollop of Ricotta cheese. Sure it sounds simple, but I promise, it's killer and SO worth a try! My daughter figured that much out, when I didn't want to share it with her... so she stole - yes STOLE - one of my meatballs. Now she wants to order the Positano on our next visit. How do you say "payback" in Italian? Again, it's called Positano and I can't recommend it enough (BTW - it goes perfectly with the house Chianti). If you like Italian sausage and meatballs, I promise, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back and have it it again.
Don't believe what anyone tells you! This is so much more than just a meal, as they say a dining experience! Our seafood main course was an order and a half. Gaetano said two would be too much. He was right! It had lobster, mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, crab, squid over linguini in the best sauce you ever tasted! I would give him 6 stars if I could! Outstanding!
Don't go with a group. He is writing down your orders but he is old and makes mistakes. He messed up our orders and brought out pasta when we were done eating. Don't let him talk you into his potatoes or stuffed mushrooms, they were dry and the price 20 dollars! For potatoes was crazy, 18 for dry mushrooms. Then they gave a plain lettuce tomato and cuke salad family style didn't ask, just brought it and it was 11dollars! Crazy, the meal itself was wonderful! But so slow and timing was off. We ask for water, nope never came. I would go back with just one other person, because my lobster ravioli was to die for.

Bonnie’s Breakfast and Lunch

1714 County Rd 1
Dunedin, 34698
Reviews:
Bonnie's is a breakfast place in Dunedin that makes one of the best sticky buns that I've ever had. It's cheap also $2.95. What a bargain. I also tried the toast with dry gravy and hash browns as well. I ate to much today , but it was well worth it. Great food at low prices. I'll definitely be checking out Bonnie's again. Oh I forgot I was waited on by Bonnie herself. She is very sweet and quite personable.
Love this place. Great food, personal service and specialty items you will appreciate if you're from PA. Only bad thing about it is that they're not open on Sunday. Try breakfast or lunch and you won't be disappointed.
The pancakes are beyond amazing !! The staff is friendly and we've never had a bad meal. It's a small and quaint restaurant . The prices are low and the portions quite enough. Not open on Mondays. Maria is a character and she can get the entire place, guests and all, to sing happy birthday. . Great way to wake up your kid on his birthday before school.

Thai Town

1342 Main St
Dunedin, 34698
Reviews:
In my fiance and I's quest for awesome Asian restaurants we decided to try Thai Town. It is fairly close to us and the reviews seemed promising. We started off with hot tea (which was good but the tea bag is just put in a cup and brought out unlike other places that use decorative teapots and sake cups...not a big deal but I prefer the tea pots so I can have several refills) and spring rolls. The spring rolls were larger than I expected and were good but seemed more like chinese egg rolls than the spring rolls I'm used to at thai places. I had the pad thai with tofu (my go-to dish) and my fiance had a seafood curry dish. Both were very good and had excellent spice levels (we prefer hot.) The service was very friendly and prompt. The price was reasonable as well. It's not my favorite thai place but it was still very good and worth checking out. I think when we go back we'll try a different appetizer. The thai wings sounded very good.
Best Thai food in the area I just moved down from PA & this is the only place I will go. I ahve tried others that were okay & just horrible. Dont be fouled because its in a strip mall this place is great.
I have been eating here for years :) Lovely place a bit limited seated on the inside but my family always orders take out. I love the Chicken Pad Thai! I get no spice hubby get med spicy. The portions are great for the price and the food is always fresh!

Rosie’s Tavern

Despite having spent many Friday nights in downtown dunedin, last night was my first time here at Rosie's. We have a really enjoyable experience. My boyfriend and I met up with a few friends of ours and shared a bottle of cabernet sauvignon on the patio. There was a very talented live singer who performed some great songs. He really added to the atmosphere in a positive way. Inside, the ambience is small and dark yet inviting. They only serve beer and wine here, but that wasn't an issue as they did have a wide variety of both. I really enjoyed our evening here and would definitely come back again.
I've lived in Dunedin for 5 years and i finally stopped here Mardi Gras night! I met my friends here after celebration and it was chill time for a nitecap! Popcorn is available but no food is served. You can order pizza from Tony's around the corner and bring it in! There are an adequate amount of taps which feature most of our local craft beers and some excellent imports! I can back on a Wednesday night where they host an open mic in the courtyard! Great music in a great environment! Yes, you can smell and feel the cool sea breezes which are so revered here in Dunedin! I love this place and it has become another local fave for me!
$ 2 yueneling until 7 every day! Ask for Julie!!!! she's awesome! On Tuesdays after 7 ask for Dwight! He is also awsome! If you buy a T shirt, hat or visor, all your house wines and draft beers are BOGO every Tuesday if you are wearing your gear!

This place is AWESOME! Their hot dogs are inexpensive and delicious. I love supporting local business and the very nice owners make it easy to like this place, and the hot dogs make it easy to love.
Great hot dogs, but I feel like the place is never open. Make sure to check the hours. I wish they were open late and on Sundays too. Try the Chicago dog!
Not just the normal hot dog, best gourmet lunch in Dunedin. Must try the potato salad.

Orange Crate Cafe

349 Main St
Dunedin, 34698
Reviews:
This old boxcar has been turned into little cafe. The Orange Crate Cafe is small on the inside but has plenty of seating outside on the Pinellas trail. This is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and people watch. The menu is limited as they just open two days ago, but there is plans to expand. The Thai Peanut Chicken wrap was tasty but should have come with sauce on the side as it was a little dry. Everything is fresh and healthy, most things are organic and locally grown. There is some vegan and vegetarian options but those will be expanded in the future. I look forward to trying all the offerings and being able to get Bree's honey whenever they are open.
Great coffees and some nice treats. Slammed on a Saturday morning - they should have more than one person in there to help. I felt awful there was one girl in there (but she was hustling!!) and some rude customers behind me complaining about the wait - regardless the coffees I ordered came out perfect. Just have a little help in there on the weekends.
Now the Express Cafe, I come every morning (not open Mondays) for a latte and usually a scone. Virginia (French and very soft spoken) makes excellent quiches, pies, crepes, and pastries in the European tradition. Her salads and other creations are excellent as well. Collin (Scottish) is an excellent cook and baker as well. I love his scones, not like the Americanized versions you find at Panera's or grocery chains. But most of all he makes an excellent cup of latte. You will not find a friendlier, more charming couple in town to greet you in the morning.

There's a reason this place wins Best of Tampa Bay Awards every year...the Ice Cream and Cakes are incredible...I have been to the Dunedin and Palm Harbor Locations numerous times and am never disappointed...both always have alot of interesting Ice Creams...my current favorites are the Coconut Chocolate Chunk and The Carrot Cake Flavors...others in the Family rave about the Banana..Strawberry..and Black Cherry Versions..Cakes are Out of This World also...both locations are very dog friendly which makes it a great stop for us...they will even give you a Doggy Cone for free...Employees are very friendly even though they are usually slammed....only reason I am not giving it 5 Stars is the Prices are pretty high..a single scoop in a cup or a Cone is over 3 and a single slice of one of their cakes is running 6 these days....even with that I still make it a point to stop in every time I come to Tampa
We went for dessert recently, great ice cream! Highly recommended!
Excellent ice cream! I have been coming to Dunedin for years and it definitely needed an ice cream spot. Came here two nights this week on a three-night trip... it was just delicious! Mint cookie the first time (amazing proportion of cookies to mint), and birthday cake flavor the next time. Loved their line-up of flavors. Desserts in the fridge looked incredible. Can't wait to visit Strachan's on my next visit to Dunedin!

OMG! LOBSTER ROLL!! 8oz tempura lobster roll, amazing taste and value. It takes 15-20 minutes to prepare but so worth the wait. Dragon roll is excellent too. Ahi is melt in your mouth perfection, Panang curry is outstanding. Lunch specials are an excellent value. They will tweak their sushi to you requested taste. What this place lacks in décor they more than much up for in service and flavor.
I love this place. I eat there every Friday. I only eat sushi with rice paper and they always make my special suchi. Ema, the waitress is the best. She is so friendly and always have a smile on her face. I also love the soup the ginger salad and of course the hot tea.
Yep, this place is a two thumbs up winner. I absolutely love Thai food and was excited to see a place with such great reviews had opened up close to my house. My mom and I came here for lunch on a sunday afternoon and grabbed a spot at one of the booths along the wall. Right away we noticed the nice bright, airy feel and the decor was appealing as well. The server was friendly and did a good job considering he was the only server for every table in there. Our server brought by menus for us to take a look at and we noticed that they offered a lunch combo option, including soup, small thai roll and a wide variety of options all for $7.95 This was impressive to me because even most restaurants that DO offer a lunch special don't have it on the weekend, so that was a definite plus. We started off with a Mexican roll just so we could try the sushi and see how we liked it. Theirs was spot on -- perfectly crunchy, great flavor, very fresh. We scarfed that down in 2 minutes flat. Next came our meals. My mom got the veggie delight with chicken and i chose the rama sama long (or is it rama song long, or rama lama song? I can NEVER remember) which is chicken in peanut sauce with rice, cabbage, carrots and broccoli. WOW! It was so tasty, reminded me of the "amazing" chicken from other local Thai places. Between the soup, sushi and a few bites of my meal, I was stuffed, so had enough to bring home for leftovers. The server kindly boxed them up for me and brought it back to my table, that wins big points in my book too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, between the ambience, service and fantastic Thai food. All of this was included for very reasonable prices. I will most definitely be a repeat customer here.
