Had a mushroom Swiss Burger cheesy chili fries Coney and a sweet tea. All was good but the cheesy chili fries was the best. We ate at the picnic tables outside refills on drinks was free which was a positive. The cheesy chili fries was what my wife wants to order next time we go she usually doesn't like chili cheese fries but loved these. She had a Bacon cheeseburger and fries with a sweet tea she said all was good. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend checking this place out. People working there was very nice. Will be back when my rich uncle gets out of the poorhouse and I can go on vacation again down there.....just love it down there!

Good fast food burger and tots. Had the mushroom and swiss burger which was not on the menu and it was really good. The cheese burger was also good. Just a couple of picnic tables to eat at so most people seem to get drive thru. Would eat here again if in the area and looking for a quick bite.

Incredible semi-fast food. Worth whatever wait there is. Tots are perfectly cooked snaptastically crispy and hot. I do miss the "home of the greasy sac". Maybe they could have a new style of burger. "Sir, sir, can you cook me a sac burger? Bring back all that is so bad it is good!!

Needed something quick and easy and kid friendly. Tops hit the spot! Burger was better than any fast food. Just be sure to go early, they close at 7 pm.

We were a little tired of seafood and we were looking for a great burger. This place was amazing. One of the best burgers I ever had.

This place is awesome. It is greasy and tasty and serves all the foods anyone would crave. The staff is always friendly and polite and willing to accommodate special request orders if they can.I do wish they had more options for the burgers but what they do have they do it very well

People have been recommending Tops to me since I moved down here. I lucked out and there was no long line at the drive-thru. The stories I've heard are true; the wax paper wrapping and the brown bag with the burger in it was soaked through when I got home, but isn't grease one of the elements of a great burger? It was delicious. It was a simple, no-frills, old-school burger. And I know that burgers aren't "healthy" (which is why they are such wonderful Forbidden Fruit), but this burger felt like it rated a little more on the dangerous end of that scale. So, was it good? Absolutely. Will I have another? Eventually. Should you? What, you want to live forever?

Best up-north flat burgers. Period. Excellent beef, prices, easily worth 3 car wait in drive thru if there is one. By far the best spot on the panhandle--Go Global, please!!!!

For what this is, its pretty darn good. Tops has a few locations along the Emerald Coast (I think) but I've only been to their Destin location. Wonderful burgers and hot dogs! I love their slaw dog and the mushroom swiss burger is great too! This location is drive thru/walk up only and is connected to a car wash. When I'm down in the Mirmar area, this is my only stop for fast food.

Do not let the carwash next door fool you, folks. This place is AWESOME! If you are in the mood for an old-school greasy, meaty, cheesy, mushroomy mess of a burger that will quench your savory desires, the mushroom swiss burger will NOT disappoint. Food took a little longer than some fast food joints(well worth it) but the young lady at the window was extremely nice, generous with the napkins(she knew we would need them), and the burgers and fries were excellent. Do not skip Tops if you have the chance.

While staying in Destin, my husband and some of his friends were craving burgers. Since this place held a 4 1/2 star rating, I had high hopes. However, I had several problems with this place. First, I wanted water, but they said they only served water by the bottle which was 99 cents. Okay, no big deal. Then they inform me that they are out of water. Really? Second, you pay after your food comes out. As they were coming out, we had to deal with a very rude employee. It was clear that she would rather have been elsewhere. Why should I have to deal with attitude when all I want is to pay for my food? Third, I ordered a plain cheeseburger with no bun, which they accommodated. The burger was SO salty I couldn't even get half of it down. Everyone else ordered their burgers with lots of different toppings and they all said that they could tell that the burger was very salty, but the other ingredients balanced it out. Since I didn't have anything, it was basically equivalent to licking a salt shaker - I could literally feel my stomach bloating from all the salt. I don't feel like I should have to balance my burger with other ingredients just to make it taste better. A real burger should be good no matter how I order it.

After about 5 mins of being the 3rd car from the window, someone from this tiny establishment came outside with a pen and pad to take orders. That's when I quickly realized that the drive thru line had already reached the street. Considering the fact that we were part of the noon lunch crowd, one could easily understand a longer-than-normal wait time. But during this extended wait time, I found a moment to reflect. I began thinking to myself, "Man this better be worth it because I'm hungry and I'm ready to hit the outlets.." To be honest, considering that I was in a drive thru, I was expecting something along the lines of In-N-Out slash Five Guys slash Carl's Jr slash Nike slash Gap slash Banana Replublic slash wait... Sorry. My outlet dreams somehow got tangled up with my lunch. This is how much I was ready to shop! After about another 10 mins we finally reach the window, I handed my AMEX card to the gentleman working at the window only to find out that this establishment only accepts payment by either Cash or PIN-based Debit Card transactions (which includes a $0.79 fee). Luckily, I had a twankey (20) on me. My bag finally came out which was to include two Mushroom & Swiss burgers both topped with onions and an order of chili-cheese tots to share. A quick 2 minute drive down the road to the outlet parking lot and we open up the mysterious brown bag of goodies. My wife reaches in to the bag and pulls out one of the Mushroom Burgers to hand to me. The first thing I notice is that the wax paper used to wrap this burger had become fully transparent because of the grease. As you can imagine, the sight of this caused both of my eyebrows to raise the roof. I fumble with it for a couple of seconds trying to figure out how I can minimize the transfer of grease from the burger to my hands. After finally figuring out the perfect grip and proper wrapper clearance, (ensuring I wouldn't accidentally sink my teeth into some wax paper) I take my first bite. All I can say is: Oh... Em... Gizzle.. Talk about being surprised! I felt like I had been hit by a mushroom burger bus whose final destination was heaven. This thing was fantastic! Best mushroom burger I've EVER had. And it came from a drive thru! (which was attached to a car wash nonetheless!) (O_o) I can't really speak about the rest of the burgers on the menu, but the Mushroom Burger is where it's at. This is how all the rest of the mushroom burgers in the world should be made! Ok ok, I'll stop hyping it up. Last thing I want is for someone to be disappointed due to my over-hyping of this..... ......A W E S O M E B U R G E R!! =) Anyways, as far as the chili-cheese tots... eh.. *shrugs* But if you're in Destin looking for a good greasy burger, Tops is a MUST.

I have gone to this place 5 or 6 times in the last several years (Destin local). Burgers are great - old style - not McDonald's garbage

This place puts all other fast food joints to shame. Burgers are cooked fresh on the grill and loaded with your choice of toppings. I've had the mushroom swiss burger, which is outstanding. Can't go wrong with the standard bacon double cheeseburger, either. I was doing low-carb, and they serve without the bun if you ask. Their fries are pretty delicious, but I'm a bigger fan of the tater tots! Get them with cheese! You will not regret it.

Decent burger and tater tots. I wasn't blown away.

What a disapointment. After taking the first bite, I realized just how bland and tasteless this patty was. It reminded me instantly of tofu. Even chain food like Mooyas, Five Guys, EVEN MCDONALD'S has more flavor in their meat. Also, my sister ordered no mayonnaise, mustard, or tomato in her burger, but what do ya know!!!!!!! She gets them in her patty

Great burgers! Nothing fancy just good burgers and tots. We also got an order of fried pickle spears that were delicious. The staff is great. Very friendly and talkative.

Just finished my very first Tops burger and I must say that it's the best burger I've ever had!!! I love the fact that this is a non franchise burger joint but it wouldn't mean a thing if the food wasn't good. My wife had the slaw dog and she was just as impressed with that as I was with the burger. We leave town in the morning and I hope to make Another trip to Tops before they close today! Great price and great food! Good job Tops!!!

This is a wonderful fast food joint. We heard about the fries so we decided on the tots and they were great! Not greasy and are very crisp. I had the Chicago Dog and it was good as well. My mother had the Chili Chez Dog and said she enjoyed it. It was cheap and would definitely come back! Especially for those tots!

Love the fries. People was great. Fast and tasty

Good burger. Decent fries. Attached to a car wash? Ah who cares? I was getting tired of seafood and hungry for something red and bad for you after the beach. Went twice while I was on vacation for a week.

Fast service. Delicious burgers. Simply done and tastefully made. Comparable to Five Guys burgers but cheaper. The fries are ok, not hand cut. That is always a little disappointing. Go for the burgers at a good price. You can have the fries, just that the burgers definitely outshine the fries.

  • Julianna H.

Cheap and good. Better than McDonald's or Sonic but not as good as Five Guy's or Fat Guy's. I wish I had ordered a double! They don't list what's on the burger but they load it with fixings. I don't like pickles and mustard so I was unpleasantly surprised. Good but not to-die-for good.

This place has solid burgers and tots. This is not a fine burger place; it is fast food. This being said what they prepare is very good and fresh, but most importantly executed to your order. BBQ sandwich is also good, but I would stick to the burger.

I wish I had taken a picture of my delicious hamburger, but alas, it didn't last that long. too good to put it down!

This place has some good, quick food. The burgers and tots are tasty and the service is pretty quick. They are drive-up/walk-up service only, no dine-in. I believe I saw a picnic table under a tree if you want to eat there.

An okay burger. I would recommend this over Wendy's or McDonalds. This is a descent choice for an inexpensive meal. They overstuffed our bag and our burgers were smashed when we got home.

I Reallllllllly liked this burger/hot dog Drive thru on the side of a CAR WAsH!! If you want a fast food meal, Cajun fries, fresh Pattie on a bun with a cold drink(NONE DIET, HIgH CARB type of meal... come here! I am a foodie, fancy food, fast food, greasy food, edible food you name it! I yelp for a reason, and most of my reviews are on food. Tops made me happy when chowing down on the delicious mushroom burger, it's not on the menu but it was recommended on YELP, thank you cause it's sooooo good! :)

This place was connected to a car wash which is strange. Other than that the place was excellent. Burgers are juicy and cheap for the amount you get. The tots were crispy and large portion. The service is fast and friendly. We feed 4 adults and 2 kids for $28. Highly recommended if your in the area and craving hot dogs and burgers.
