Unfortunately the amazing space and scenery is a let down. A giant tourist trap. Do NOT get sucked in. Food is pricy and flavorless. I'm usually a little more lenient with these posts because I am a server in the industry but the wait staff was also less than impressive. Don't waste your time. Check out some of the more local areas that are locally owned! Enjoy Florida!

Tourist trap like everyone else said. We were seated within 10 min so that wasn't too bad. Our waitress was very short with any convos as she seemed to be more interested in getting us in and out. Nothing bad just not awesome service 5 of 10. Our food was delivered quickly as well. WAY overpriced food for only being mediocre. In my opinion, if you're going to overprice your food, at least make me want to come back for it. This was kind of a last minute thing and were looking for a place to have dinner after the dolphin cruise. Overall, it was below average 4 of 10 I'd say. We will come back to Destin but will NOT come back to Margaritaville.

I came here twice. First visit: Wait time for 2 people would have been an hour, but they have these cool little two person tables located in front of the bar. The wait staff was running around like chickens. We had about 4 different waitresses. I ordered the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans. Everything was good except the green beans they put this weird tasting sauce on them and it ruins them. If you order that dish ask for no sauce on beans. They took forever to bring our drinks. When our food came out we had no napkins or silverware. Again they took forever to bring out check. We left a 2 buck tip because honestly we didnt know who to leave the tip to because we had so many different waitresses.....And the drinks are ridiculously high!!! Second Vist: Went for happy hour downstairs and Ashley was our waitress. Very nice service and very attentive. 3 dollar beer cant beat that. Cheapest thing on the menu. We had fun looking and laughing at all the people who couldnt dance. Overall experience: Was good. Plan to spend alot. Not a cheap place.

Margaritaville destin is a typical tourist trap but we made the mistake of stopping by twice. I'll point out it's interesting that when I started writing this review, there were no reviews (maybe an issue with mobile devices). I assumed, people thought it was crap and didn't bother. The food was ok: the volcano nachos were pretty good, jerk shrimp was OK, and crab dip was OK, not up to par on a coastal town. Have a few drinks before you go and maybe you'll enjoy the food more, just don't get drinks here because... The margaritas were the true disappointment; we sent them back the second time we went. They were so cold you could only sip on them, likely to distract you from the fact that they had no flavor (or alcohol). It might as well have been BYOT (tequila). The service was pretty bad, nothing notably terrible, but 2/5 at best. My suggestion is walk in and check it out, MAYBE grab a drink at the bar downstairs (watch them make your drink anywhere in this town) and then head over to MIMOS italian

Truly awful tourist trap. Great views. Ridiculously expensive drinks and bad food. Service took forever (45 mins) even though it wasn't busy. All the review posted are negative. No comments from the management? I guess they just don't care.
