I LOVE Cracker Barrel. This one proved that they aren't all the same. While the service was a bit slow to start, they sped up. I think it was one waitress taking care of most of the tables. I almost always order the same thing, it was cooked so much better here. My husband agrees! They may have just used more butter to make the food, but damn it was so good.

This Cracker Barrel is one of the finest I've eaten in. The service is usually good and staffed by folks knowledgable about the menu choices. The food comes fast and not much makes me happier than getting to play the golf tee game while I wait.

Dropped in at 8 PM on a Saturday night for supper. We got seated right away. The Chicken-fried Chicken was a great alternative to beef, recommended by our server. We enjoyed the Southern hospitality and liked the food. It's not health food, but good comfort food. We later heard that their breakfasts were to die for, so we went back on a Saturday morning. The place was packed, but it was worth the 30-minute wait for a table. Despite the place being filled to capacity, we got our food fast and hot. I can still taste the buttermilk pancakes with warm peach sauce - I can't remember having better pancakes. These were light and fluffy, with just the right amount of texture. We will definitely top in again when we're in the area!

Worst experience I have ever had at this place. I always come to Cracker Barrel whenever I am traveling throughout the country. We had a somewhat larger party and we were told it would be 45 minutes. We waited close to two hours listening to other parties similar to ours go in before us. The hostess Caitlyn was a complete moron at her job. It's a simple job. The manager did nothing to satisfy us nor did he in my opinion correct the situation at all. He was a complete failure at yet again a simple position. You are the manager for Cracker Barrel, not the manager for an expensive restaurant like J. Alexander's. Terrible service.

Food was good and so was the service. Fish fry Fridays they offer Cod which which recommend. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and it was also delicious. Stay away from the mash potatoes, they were dry with the gravy on top. Their corn bread was disgusting but the biscuit was very good.

This was a good breakfast, but the store completes the package. We don't have Cracker Barrel restaurants in California, but my husband travels for work and visits them for breakfast whenever he can, he says it's cheap and delicious, plus they have large portions. He's pretty picky and doesn't care for chain restaurants and so the kids and I (and hubby of course) visited this (Destin) location while on vacation during Spring Break. We had to wait a bit for a table (but not as long as we expected) because they had a group of 15-20. They apologized and we knew they weren't blowing hot air because we seen the group leaving. The breakfast was yummy...we loved the apple butter and biscuits with gravy to name a few. The portions were good. The service was good, not great, but nothing to complain about. The kids loved the little game on the table and my daughter enlisted her individual bottle of pancake syrup. She wanted to take it back to Cali...um...that would be a no! We really loved the store. My husband had previously bought me a beach themed frame at a Cracker Barrel while he was on a trip and I knew they had a cute store but I didn't expect to find such cute things! I brought home 3 beach themed items from their store and had no regrets when I had to figure out how to safely get them home. What I really liked though was the old fashioned candy they offered. I realized this is a family restaurant but they sold some throwback candies that are hard to find, so I bought some for the kids to snack on for the plane trip home. Overall a fun visit and we'll definitely be going to Cracker Barrel Again! I can't wait to try their dinner.

When we are in Destin, we make a point to make a trip to Cracker Barrel. The food is the same at all of the ones I have been at so the service is what makes this one good. With two young kids, I have a certain level of service that makes me satisfied when we are eating out. The servers at this Cracker Barrel are very kid friendly. They catered to both (some will only cater to the baby) and made sure we had enough stuff to keep them busy. On future visits, we will make sure to make a stop for good breakfast and good service.

Worst service I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. When we got seated we waited for a very long time for someone to wait on us, in fact I had to go to the person at the checkout counter to ask for someone to wait on us. No one had even came along to take our drink order. Our waiter repeatedly forgot our orders, our food came out at separate times and getting service was a nightmare. Don't waist your MONEY or TIME here.

Really slow service and not busy at all in our section. When I got my food, the bacon was greasy and soggy and there were large chunks of eggshells in my scrambled eggs. The one positive, the manager came right away when I asked for her and replaced my food very quickly and took it off my bill.

Crowded and poor service. Our waiter was awful. Food was cold and not up to usual Cracker Barrel standards.

I am definitely a fan of the Cracker Barrel for breakfast! I always get the french toast and scrambled eggs with cheese!! Mmmm...delish! One of my last visits there I would have to say was the best, our waiter Tim, was very attentive and on his A game!! Definitely made the experience there that much more pleasant. Now when I go, I compare every visit to the experience we had with Tim and I must say it hasn't compared. They also have a little store to shop around in, and its fun to look at all the different things that they have. The game on the table to play while you wait is addicting, so much so, that I bought one to bring home!! :)

Very poorly managed. We were told we could not put our name in until the entire party arrived. We explained they were coming in a we spoke and got attitude. Then they told us 20 minute wait and it was closer to 30. We got back and there tons of empty tables. We explained to the waitress we were in a rush and she took forever to take our order. Then we waited over 30 minutes without receiving food and left. Then we got attitude at the counter. Finally a manager got involved and let us go free of charge (only positive post of our experience). I noticed while we were waiting that the manager was being summoned to many tables. One guy actually went into the kitchen because they had not seen their waitress in over 40 minutes. Avoid this place.

The food is not too bad. It's actually cooked right and fresh. I ordered the pecan crusted catfish with rice pilaf. I gave it a three because the portion could have been bigger and should have come with dinner rolls.

After driving 11 hours from Texas we stopped in to eat at this location. I guess the entire staff must have been new, as our food came out totally wrong. It ended up taking 20 minutes to get the rest of our food after getting the first round of food. It tasted good once we had it, but I was not hungry anymore?

When ever I come to this part of Florida this is my must go to spot for a feeling of a home cooked meal my favorite place to eat on the far east coast. I ended up ordering corned beef and cabbage it was so good and delicious it made my Samoan heat so happy. Deffenetly a lot of food for very reasonable prices I really do love this restaurant

Great experience! We drove into Destin with tired kids, looking for dinner before we headed to the hotel. It was Sunday night so very few places were open. We first tried the restaurant across the parking lot but it had a 40 minute wait and a hostess with an attitude. No thanks. We spotted Cracker Barrel and decided to give it a try. They welcomed us despite the fact that they were closing in 30 minutes. We ordered and received our food in a timely manner. It was delicious! I had the roast beef and my husband had chicken. Bisquits were awesome. Kids loved the homemade lemonade. The service was impressive. Everyone was friendly and we never felt rushed. Our waitress, Cathy, made us feel at home. Our family agreed to stop by one more time while we were in town because we knew it was it would be good meal!

I ate here about 3 weeks ago from the date posted on this review. To summarize this review. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Cracker Barrel in my life. I am a big fan of this franchise but this one is to be avoided at all costs. After I was seated it took about 10 minutes before my breakfast order was taken. It then took another 20 minutes to serve my breakfast. Because of my past positive experience with the franchise I know this was too long. My true disappointment came when I found that my hot breakfast of eggs, hash browns, and bacon were all cold. So, after waiting 20 minutes for my food I finally received cold food. At that point my waitress summoned the manager who was of no help at all. I claimed my food was late coming out and I felt it had been sitting out before being served. The manager disagreed with me but could not find a reason on why my food was cold. Yet, the reason was obvious.. because it had been left on a shelf and died before being served. I didn't eat breakfast and my check was voided. I left hungry and disappointed. I drove an hour to eat here. Please do not make the same mistake I made. Check the map for another location.

I'm not reviewing the restaurant (although I like it), this is for the little country shop that you must walk through to get to the dining room. Smart Cracker Barrel, smart... One wouldn't think of coming here without getting a bite to eat, but that's exactly what I do. I love the selection of old fashioned candies and toys. There is a very small selection of baby/toddler clothes but they are adorable! Not to mention tons of other, usually Southern inspired fun items. So take your time walking in or before you leave and look around, it's worth checking out if your looking for a unique gift, or craving a GIANT Sugar Daddy Pop.

Food is not bad. But service is really horrible. Their fake smiles masqueraded in that supposedly southern hospitality twang can really get under one's skins. So, I waited fifteen minutes without service so finally decided to walk out. I was then accosted at the door and promised a free meal. I don't want a free meal. I want the minimal level service. So I gave them a chance. Food was not bad but service remains lowest of low. Ten minutes for a coffee refill. By the way, not that I would have accepted it, but there was no "actual" free meal as the check came with a final amount greater than $0. Meh.

Terrible service, so-so food. We went on a Sunday morning which is prime time for this joint. My son and I had fun playing checkers on the front porch, but as soon as we were called for our seats, the fun was over. Waited over 20 minutes to order, more than 10 minutes for refills after our glasses were EMPTY, and the food was average at best. We ordered 2 breakfast entrees and 2 off of the lunch menu, none were delicious. Better off leaving this place to the "blue hairs."

What can I say, it a Cracker Barrel. Its famous service and large food portions keep you coming back for more. Enjoy you visit...
