Love this place! Never had a bad meal. Every time we order delivery it arrives hot and fresh. Best Chinese in the Clearwater area!

Ordered at 10:16pm and they informed me on the phone that they closed at 10:30pm. The only reason I ordered from them is because online said they were open until 11:00pm. This is on a Tuesday never mind. When I got there they were rude and did not acknowledge my presence. Then when I explained to them that it was an easy fix to correct their times on google, they told me on some days it's 10:30 and other it's 11:00pm. Very miscommunicated. I made sure anywhere I called would be open. Don't get me wrong the food is great, but there attitudes are anything but pleasant.

I would give this place 1 star if I didn't enjoy their food. I was seriously shocked at how bad their service is. I've ordered here 3 times with each experience significantly worse. 1) Their site is shut down so I couldn't see any menu, I called to talk to someone about seeing some sort of menu with no avail. In fact the girl who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I then decided to order off the top of my head. I got the order in and paid over the phone. 2) They were 1 1/2 hrs late. That is another 90 min past the time they said they'd get the food to me. 3) When they arrived I discovered that the food delivery girl didn't bring the receipt for me to sign, so she called her boss and gave ME her phone to talk him and tell him I already paid, all because she forgot the right receipt. We then had to go through the order process all over again and rerun the card. 4) 45 min after the delivery girl left, Wok Out called again and had the nerve to ask for a tip!! Not only that but they were rude about it!!! I don't know what happened to this place, but whatever it is they are doing is not good at all. Wok Out gave us so much trouble over our order, the taste of the food does NOT make up for the bad service, slow delivery, and rude attitudes. I'm not ordering from here again.

Wanting to try a new Chinese take-away, we decided to try this place. The owner's family was studying and video gaming on one of the two tables in this small space. We ordered the House Special Lo Mein, Moo Shu Pork and the Kung Po Shrimp. The food arrived promptly. The Lo Mein was dry and missing 90% of the ingredients that would make it the "House Special." It was flavorless. The Moo Shu Pork came with sufficient pancakes that were nicely pliable, however, the dish was a mushy, old vegetable mess with no crunchy veggies or ample pork. Awful! The Kung Po Shirimp looked great but, sadly, it was also flavorless. The shrimp were firm but didn't taste like shrimp. A bag of fried dough came with our bag. I don't know what they were but my partner was brave enough to try one and then made a frowny face. ;-( I hope that they were just having a bad day. However, this was the worst Chinese food we can ever remember having. Ever. Their menu price-points were much higher than comparable Chinese restaurants in the area. . My only advice about eating food from here is just to Wok Away!

Always delicious, never disappointed, been going there for 3 years since we moved nearby. Rice always tasty and moist, orange chicken delicious but quite spicy, love it because it's not chewy or hard, but always tastes fresh. House fried rice has good-sized shrimp and chicken and beef are always tender. Sesame chicken is a favorite for kids. House wonton is enough for four, and filling with large chunks of meat and shrimp.

Decent take out Chinese. I'm a big fan of own ton soup and this place has some pretty good soup. Portions were typical size and it didn't take to long to get the food after we ordered. We'll come back for sure.

The place is a bit nicer then China 99 across the street. But like most people I order to take out and head home. Ordered the spring rolls egg rolls veg lo main general Tso chicken house special Mao Fae rice noodle which had pork chicken and shrimp. The girl at the front was short and not particularly personable but doesn't bother me that much since I'm just taking out. Also they don't take Amex just so you know. Overall the food was as can be expected at any more or less generic take out Chinese restaurant. If you wanting to go out to sit down and have nice Chinese just head up to country side and go to Chopsticks. If you just wanna be lazy and eat at home is say this place so far is the better choice in south clearwater. Might give 4 stars if I next time I come I'm not treating indignantly. But for now it's a 3 star locale.

After reading the numerous conflicting reviews, I was a bit skeptical. But, this is the most conveniently located chinese take out on my route home from work, so I took a chance. I was very pleased with the food. I got the Singapore Mei Fun and a pint of Egg Drop Soup. The soup was for my wife. She said it was rather flavorful and she seem quite happy with it. We split the Mei Fun and I had some left over for lunch the next day. This was the best take out Mei Fun that I've ever had. There was a good amount of meat (chicken & pork) and shrimp in the dish. The shrimp were decently sized and actually tasted like good shrimp. This was a bit of a surprise as seafood in these dishes normally is bland and has no flavor other than the added spices. Even as left-overs, the shrimp were tasty. There was a bit of yellow curry in the dish that added a nice amount of spice and flavor that I haven't had in most Mei Fun. I really liked it. The service was very fast and the staff were nice. I walked in, ordered, and was on my way in less than 10 minutes. I'll be trying some of the other dishes here as well. I'll update this review as needed.

Terrible customer service and food. I put in for TWO orders of steamed chicken with vegetables. When the delivery got here 45 minutes later only one of the orders had chicken. The other was nothing but vegetables. Additionally, the order that did have chicken in it literally only had 4 tiny pieces. When I called to have the order corrected (I was even willing to go pick it up), the owner just argued with me stating that she "read the order back and we confirmed". This was a complete lie. I ordered on speaker phone and my wife was sitting next to me...the lady never read our order back to us and barely had time to give us our total before hanging up the phone. Even if they had corrected my order I wouldn't order from here again due to how badly they skimp on ingredients.

Best take out Chinese in Clearwater. Food is always very fresh and VERY hot! Egg rolls crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. Boneless spare ribs are outstanding. Spicy dishes are just right. Portions are phenomenal, plenty for lunch the next day.

We ordered take out last night. Since it has been 10 years since I had last eaten there I figured keep it simple. My order was pork fried rice, wonton soup, spare ribs and spring rolls. Everything was delicious. My food came quick. It was very busy. I will definetly go back. My only gripe was the grandson/son who didnt wait on me thank god, could improve his customer service skills. Watching him was rough.

We have been in Clearwater for 4 days now. We figured we'd have a bit of local Chinese food before heading out tomorrow. We were disgusted with this restaurant. Please don't waste your time or money here. We tried to play it safe because who can screw up beef and broccoli, vegetable lo mien, and Spring rolls? THEY CAN!!! The lo mien was over cooked and bland, the beef and broccoli had three inches of oil resting at the bottom, and instead of Spring rolls we received onion rolls. We called them back to ask about a trade... They talked to us in circles.

Eek!! This place is not good at all. We had a delivery order of two lunch meals and an appetizer. The order came about in 35-40 min. Their fried rice is so plain. The sesame chicken was so bad...the chicken itself is so small but they covered with tons of batter...I was literally eating just fried batter drenched in sauce. So gross. The appetizer crab rangon was yucky too. Our order was supposed to come with two egg rolls but they never gave us. Well it doesn't matter...I can tell they are not good at all anyways, judging from the fact nothing we ordered was good. Try China 99 across the street. Much better over there.

I absolutely love Chinese food, and I absolutely love Wok Out. My family and I had moved into a house half a mile from Wok Out in '97, and to this day Wok Out is still our favorite place for take out/delivery or Chinese. In FOURTEEN YEARS, we've never once had a bad experience or bad food from them. To me, that speaks volumes about a place. My personal favorite is the lo mein. Chunks of meat (if you order it), always has lots of fresh veggies, and the best flavored sauce I've ever had, unlike other places that seem to be nothing but grease. My other favorites are the sesame chicken and General Tso's. Both have always had large chunks of chicken and I've never had any that was over-breaded. Lots of sauce without it swimming and getting lost. Moo goo gai pan, shrimp and broccoli, chicken and cashews, sweet and sour chicken/pork and the won ton soup have all been the favorites for the rest of the house. The only thing I can think of to criticize is that sometimes the egg rolls are greasy or bland. I can't wait to get back to Clearwater and have some good Chinese; in almost a year in the San Antonio area, I haven't had any Chinese even 1/3 as good as Wok Out.

I've lived in Clearwater for 25 years and this is my go to Chinese take out place. The fried rice is actual fried rice not the yellow colored stuff you get at many other places. The moo goo gai pan is great, and the lo-mein is awesome. Actually, all of it is good. I don't really order egg rolls or crab rangoons, so I can't speak for them. When I was a kid, I knew some people that worked there, so I can also attest to the fact that the kitchen is clean and the food is fresh. What more can you ask for?

I've tried every Chinese delivery place in range. This is the best. You'd never know it by looking at it, but it is truly a step above the local competition. The veggies seem fresh, the sauces are great, and the fried rice is the right color (if you see a place serving fried rice that is yellow instead of brown, don't even bother, the rest of the food will be sub-par as well). This isn't haute cuisine, but as far as Chinese take-out goes, Wok Out is excellent.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
