Great hang out spot for a night out on the town. The portabella burger was excellent!

Happy Hour is great at Bar Louie! We met a few friends and ordered apps and drinks around the table and just kept going. The Happy Hour prices were great but the service and food quality definitely lacked. We were constantly being brought the wrong drinks and some of the food was tasteless. Now that the restaurant has been open a few months, we hope to go back to see if they've gotten the hang of things because with a happy hour special like this one - we probably won't be staying away!

One of the waiters was walking around giving away free Martinis glanced at us 'twice' and looked us over!!! Don't think I'm coming back.Could it be that were... never mind but we like Martinis too. We came Thursday for opening week@ 9pm since they said there would be free Martinis/appetizers it wasn't. Ordered a martini called '*#! Good' wasn't ! It tasted like lime peel.

I was expecting something a little more than just ordinary but it never happened. My bartender was pleasant and quickly replaced a glass of vinegar with some wine when the oxidation level was brought up. The staff were smiling and attentive but it still felt a lot like a visit to Chili's. Not that a visit there is bad it's just that the hype had me believing I was in for something better. So would I go back , yes like I would go back to the home of "I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs" I tried the Portobello mushroom burger just because you don't see it often on a menu here and was disappointed with the bread though I have to warn you that the the roof of my mouth vaporized as the 'shroom was definitely just off the grill. Two guys, two burgers, two beers, two glasses of wine for north of $60 including tip will also have me thinking hard before stopping again.

I'm a fan of Bar Louie and this location was fabulous! It took my breath away slightly upon entering. I ventured in on a Saturday night to watch the big FSU vs UM game. It wasn't overly crowded, and as the night went on the restaurant emptied. I'm guessing that people still haven't remembered that this exists here yet. They have live music every Friday and Saturday from 9-1, which is awesome. The only downside for me is I feel like it's slightly overpriced for what you get. $5.25 for a Blue Moon (which is alright) and $10 for a salad with no protein and while the salad looked large, it was strategically placed on the plate/bowl thing so that by the time I finished it, I was (disappointingly) still hungry. Pretzals were to die for! They were cooked to fluffy perfection and come with 3 dipping sauces (honey mustard, queso, and cinnamon butter) all of which are like heaven in a bowl. Service for our table was a little lacking, but they have just recently opened, so maybe just need a little more time to sharpen those skills! I will be coming back here for sure!

very nice atmosphere, but I've only been during the day. haven't ate here yet and I don't know why, and there's a good beer selection.

We are always excited to see a new place open up in Clearwater but not so much for Bar Louie. Our party sat at a booth that was swarming with fruit flies. We tried to ignore them but when they were landing/dying in our salad dressing, wing sauces and cheese fries, we had to stop eating. We told the server and she sent the manager over. The manager admitted that they have a fruit fly problem and do not know how to get rid of them. Gross. So you can imagine how surprised I was to see every uneaten meal still on my bill. Which, by the way, was ridiculously high for lunch. The fruit flies, terrible customer service and overpriced food has guaranteed that we will not be back to Bar Louie.

I had the the Voodoo Chicken...I guess they call it Voodoo Chicken because they under cook the chicken. It kinda looked pink in the middle but it was hard to tell because it was so dark inside the restaurant. Anyway I guess my current stomach ache proves I was right. Otherwise this could of been a good dish. Me and my wife were on the waiting line for The Red Robin next door and while we waited we got a menu from Bar Louie and decided to go here instead. I dont know...I might return and give it another try. I'll just order something they can under cook without making me sick like there Tater Tots.

Truffled popcorn on the menu is a nice touch. The drinks are good and they have hamburger night, where you can get burgers for a great price. I only gave it a three star because the atmosphere ok and everything else was pretty good but definitely not great.

I ordered the Baked Mac & Cheese entree with the added grilled chicken. Not only was it not baked it was served lukewarm and it definitely was not "baked to a golden brown" as described on the menu. It appeared to be ladled into a large serving bowl and sprinkled with parsley after an attempt at being heated in a microwave. The grilled chicken that was added to the entrée was cut up in a cubed fashion and hard to recognize as it was mixed in with the mac & cheese. It seems there is a better was of presentation when they add the grilled chicken to this dish. The Mac & Cheese itself had a good flavor and would have been ok had it not ended up cold a few minutes into starting it. Unfortunately the waitress was no where to be found and she only appeared to ask us how our food was after we had completely finished our meal. My friend had the Fish and Chips which we decided was passable. She received one decent size piece of fish and one small piece but there was no lack of chips with her entrée. We were laughing at the ridiculous amount of fries that came with the fish. Seriously there were enough fries for four hungry adults. On the upside we split the Pear and Blue Cheese Salad and it was not only quite generous it was very good. Still I don't think we'll be going back.

Ahhh, Lou. I love ya in Tampa and now in Clearwater. I'm am now just about equal distances from both locations and am quite happy about this! We went last night for their opening week promo; free martinis and one free app per person. The deal ran from 6-9 and we got there at 6, starting the night early (and because we knew it would be packed!). I can be cheap and so when we do go to Bar Louie (in general) I tend to hit up happy hour and/or drink beer because well, its less cashola. But I do l.o.v.e. their martinis so when I heard free, I was in! I tried the diva and cosmo. I'd had both before but its been a while. Out of the two, I prefer the Diva 'tini. There was approximately a 25-30 min wait between free drinks but beggars can't be choosers and our server would ask when she brought our drinks if she we wanted to put our next drink order I'm which was great of her. There were three of us last night and we had the chicken nachos (good value for the size!), potstickers, and crispy shrimp. All three were delish! Louie you do me proud, thanks for opening a second locale so my Pinellas friends will come!

Just visited Bar Louie for the first time tonight for a Girls night out. I have to say, it's not a bad place for cocktails & munchies...We ordered the Chicken Verde Flatbread & while tasty, I felt it needed a bit more fresh cilantro on it to really make this a WOW dish.. I had the Turkey, Ham & Brie Sandwich & immediately asked for a To-Go box.. This sandwich is huge & very tasty. The Berry Mojitos were very flavorful. A little on the "too" sweet side, but still tasty. I've been reading other reviews about the service but I have to say the waitstaff was on point tonight. Kenneth & the other waiters on the patio were pleasant, helpful & enthusiastic. I'll definitely go back..

I really want to like this place because it is the best happy hour I have found. We have been twice since opening. If you are going only for the drink specials then it is great, but so far all the food I've had is just kind of blah. We have tried the dip trio, the burgers of $1 burger night, the spinach artichoke dip, and the boneless wings. The boneless wings were the best thing was have tried. The burger buns were a little to greasy for my liking, but for $2 with toppings I guess I can't complain to much. Happy hour drinks specials are awesome though! $3 for any draft and they have about 20 different taps there is something for everyone. My advice is to go for the drink specials and stick to boneless wings for food.

Bar Louie is the ultimate happy hour place. I wish the rotated their drafts at this location (they only seem to change out 1 or 2), but at least most of them are good choices. The calamari is pretty tasty and so are their mixed drinks. The best is Tuesday nights for $1 burgers... not so much for the beef burger, but for the grilled chicken or turkey burger. A generous piece of chicken for $1.

Only been there for drinks and apps and haven't been disappointed. Spicy Bloody Mary was really good and so was the second one! My group complimented the sangria along with the margarita (on the rocks) as well.

I keep coming back because it is close, they have great specials and my service is usually spot on. Cheap burgers on Tuesdays, decent appetizer and drink specials all week long. If you are looking for a fun, flirty martini, this is your place. If you are looking for awe inspiring, visually appealing, delicious food, you might be better off elsewhere.... Hoping they will change the menu up soon for some more unique or tantalizing options.

This is the worst corporate Bar Louie I have been to in the area, went on a Saturday afternoon to grab a drink with a friend, asked for the regular Louie Sangria (mind you I had/have been a frequent customer to their other location in Tampa) server brought us Strawberry Lemonade Sangria, went with it because I know it's still good. Then ordered chicken nachos, these are by far my favorite nachos at any chain, but the ones here were well under par, there was barely anything on them, and well as watery black beans. It seemed like they almost ran out of everything and threw it on our plate. I will not return to this location beside I know I can have a better experience at Bar Louie Tampa @ International Mall. This place needs major corporate training or a staff sweep.

Came here to enjoy some drinks and an appetizer with a friend. The 90 miles to Florida martini was delicious although it was not filled up to the rim like the last one I had here was. I ordered the muscles for my appetizer and it was so yummy and the portion was huge enough to be a meal. However it did take like 20-30 min for me to get my appetizer. The waitress was very nice and overall it was a pretty good experience. They have wonderful happy hour deals til 7pm M-F on drinks and appetizers!

Worst $13 Hamburger I have ever eaten! I would have been disappointed at $6 as well. Cheap old frozen beef and over cooked. I ordered rare and got a gray piece of old nasty beef. Will likely come back up in an hour or so. Asked for olive oil for my side salad and got cheap vegetable oil. At these prices I expected much better. Service was good but atmosphere lacking. Food like this no wonder its dead in here on a saturday night. I havent been here in over a year. not likely to come back.

So Feb 14 was "Impulse Valentine's Day at the Mall!" We hit Countryside and chased what hit us! First was fueling, and we had never been to Bar Louie! Kicked it off with the Effen Good Martini (Cucumber, mint leaves, lime juice, fresh-cut cucumber, agave nectar) & the 90 miles to Florida Martini (Bacardi Mango Fusion, mango purée, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice)! Both so refreshingly tasty! We ordered Loaded Tots (queso, spicy giardiniera, bacon scallions) to accompany the beverages of choice. I brought half home, nuked them the next day, and they still rocked the palate! As we were starting to feel the filling, we followed up by splitting the Verde Chicken Flatbread (grilled chicken, house-made salsa verde, red onion, jalapeno Queso Fresco, fresh cilantro) and we were done! Our servers were excellent as was the bartender when I asked for a quick glass of water and a food question! Overall, it was a good kickstart to SEVEN hours in the mall. We went to the Cinema at 7:30pm! I know we will definitely come back to try more plates on the menu AND more Martinis! Good times!

I have eaten here a couple of times, but not gotten around to writing a review. All in all, I thought the place was pretty good. They have a Tuesday night $1 hamburger special what is really cheap and the food is decent for the price. Parking is always a serious challenge. However, we went to eat there last Tuesday and the place was "closed for maintenance." That didn't strike me as right... I checked their recent health inspection records on-line to find out they were shut down for a roach infestation in the kitchen. All places have occasional problems and violations, but when an inspector finds 24 live roaches and shuts down your restaurant -- someone was ignorning that problem for a period of time. Unacceptable. Out of control roaches in the kitchen gets you a 1-star review and I will NEVER go back.

I've had good situations and bad situations here. Happy hour is awesome with half-priced appetizers, and the food is yummy! But...service has always been pretty poor. But...the Jack Daniels cake is to die for. The atmosphere is great if you want to go out but not go to a bar. Music is loud sometimes, but I like what they play, so I don't mind. Try it! I'll be back.

Hipster bar in the mall great for a Friday night drink before a movie. Located in remodeled Countryside Mall, Bar Louie is hipster place for 20 or 30 something's to hang out and grab a few drinks before a movie or for 40 something's to relax while their teenagers surf the mall. Offering a large selection of martinis I stopped in with some girlfriends on a Friday night. The bar wasn't very busy and we received immediate service. Great décor inside with TV's playing around the bar. The bartenders were friendly and quick to serve. My friends got a few beers which were poured from the tap, not too much foam and they said they were the perfect temperature. I was the DD so I ordered a mango limeade which was mango puree, pineapple, lime juice and sparkling water. It was more tart then I expected, with pineapple and mango I thought it would be sweet but it was still refreshing. After several drinks a trip to the ladies room was in order which were clean and appeared well maintained. We did not order any food but I will be back again and will save that for next time. With the great service, tasty beverages, this place gets 5 stars.

I had always wanted to try this place in Countryside. Not so much anymore. The food was pretty good, but.... Be very careful if you have any nutritional restrictions. We thought we were eating healthy, my husband had the grilled veggie wrap and I had the Chop Chop Salad. After we finished, we went to log in our lunch on MyFitness Pal. What a SCHOCK!!! The veggie wrap was 960 calories and my salad was 943 calories. The only other healthy item on the menu is the Turkey Burger, but wait... without the bun, it is 1600 calories. Checked the sodium as well, over 2,200 mg in my salad and 1,500 in the veggie wrap. At least it kept us thirsty....

I have been to Bar Louie a couple of times and had never been blown away. That being said, what they do they do very well. This is a great spot for the after work crowd to grab a quick, and cheap drink. It's a great spot to meet up and catch games. And they have great Happy Hour and Daily specials. We were there on a Tuesday to catch the USA v. Belgium World Cup match up and the specials for that day consisted of a list of half price apps, $3.25 drafts (312 for $3.25?!! Yes, please!) and dollar burgers. We had the hummus plate and calamari to share and burgers all around and a side of tots. The calamari was pretty bad. It tasted like it had been frozen and it was chewy. We ended up not finishing it. The Hummus plate was awesome. The burgers. . . I guess I will just say, they are dollar burgers and you get what you pay for. I will reserve my review of their burgers for a day when I order a normal one off the menu. The tots were perfect. Overall, I would definitely go back for the drink specials, the atmosphere for games and late night. Not so much the food.

First time at Bar Louie at Countryside. A friend from out of town was visiting, so we opted for a place between us both. Since we were catching up, we didn't order right away, but this didn't stop the waitress from asking us every 5 minutes if we were ready. When we finally placed our orders, we chose the salmon sliders and the chicken taco plata. The food came quickly, and over all, I'd say it was tasty, but with my order I got "Rice and beans". Needless to say, you can't to -everything- good. The rice was hard and undercooked, the beans were overly spiced and inedible. The tacos themselves were good, and the salmon sliders with Tots were tasty. Eventually the wind started to build up and sadly our our door heater was out of propane so we were unable to get warm... we took ourselves inside. Inside, we found that the ambient music was -too- loud to carry on conversations unless we practically yelled across the table. We ended up ordering dessert, both of them that were listed on the menu, the Chocolate Cake and the Apple Whisky Cake. Both were absolute delicious - as was the coffee I ordered. When we determined we wanted to pay the bill, our waitress who'd up till then, bothered us every 5-10 minutes was no where to be found.. Ah well. Would I come back? Maybe. I'd certainly get the tots! YUM.

Wife and I hit this place to grab some apps and drinks. We decided to sit outside. Big mistake! Every so often, the smell of raw sewage wafted through. Ruined the night. Then, to top it off, my wife's pink lemonade sangria was $10. Waaaay over priced. It was good, but mostly ice. The chicken Marsala sliders weren't that good. We did like the chips and three sauces. Server was pleasant. But the smell and the price was a huge turn off.

Holy Moly has this place gone downhill. The Bartenders are absolutely CLUELESS. Hiring "pretty" faces doesn't make them good. TERRIBLE service, and they were as slow as could be. Staff siting around a big table chatting and doing nothing the entire time. Who runs this place? Maybe time to find new management.

$1 burger night is a pretty good deal. The toppings are a la carte, so you might feel nickel-and-dimed to death when you start ordering your burger, but I assure you, it will be a lot cheaper than ordering one on any other day of the week. I ordered the TURKEY BURGER; it was hot and delicious (see pic)! Not the biggest burger on the planet, but I wasn't starving and the flame grilled flavor was heavenly. I added mayo, cheese and tomatoes and the cost was $2. I can definitely stand behind this burger for the price. If it's cost was $8-9, I'd be pissed about it, in other words. Why not 4 stars? Because the bartender had the personality of a cow chip. This lady wasn't remotely friendly and seemed like she just couldn't be bothered with us. La Chica made sure to passively let her know as well by making earshot comments like, "Should we just go sit at a table?" Then, she placed a second order with a different bartender right in our bartender's face, as an extra jab. It was classic. Would I return? For sure, but we will be getting a table next time. The bar service at "Bar Phooey" is for the birds. Read my chica's review regarding her mini-portabella burger lol

I'm a fan of Bar Louie's happy hour and $1 Burger Tuesday. On Tuesdays you can get any burger (beef, chicken, turkey, veggie patty or portabella mushroom) for just $1, toppings costs extra (bacon, guac, other sauces). I specifically like this Bar Louie over the one in Tampa because consistently I find the buns in these burgers are tastier. My bf and I always sit at the bar and we always get good service. Most times the bartenders are very attentive to our needs. The happy hour here is pretty decent. Selected appetizers are half priced (boneless wings, flatbreads, bruschetta, etc), all beers on tap are $3 for small and $5 for large, I think and martinis are $5 each. There's always something good on tap and their martini list is super delicious. I has been a while since I've been to Bar Louie outside of happy hour, but with specials like these, I wouldn't want to.

Don't bother with the mac n cheese. Dry as a bone with very little flavor. Opt for the Tuscan chicken pasta if you're in the mood for a pasta dish. I've had decent food here before so still giving 3 stars.

This was one of our favorite spots until we saw them on dirty diners. The food has always been good but I just can't go back after reading all about the roaches and improper food handling. Hopefully one day we'll make it back because they have great burgers!

  • Gigi S.

The portabello for 1.00 for 1.00 burger night was fair. The turkey burger was probably the best in town at that price. That's great and everything but where they get you, is drink prices. My tab here always seems hilariously huge like it came out of nowhere. Their wines are not 10-15.00 per glass-worthy, and yet it really does cost 10.00 per glass. I'm so perplexed.

  • Maryann M.

Food was good, nothing special. The service was not good. We waited 30 minutes for food and we were the only people there (2 of us) then had to wait another 15, after we were done eating, for our bill until we went to the bartender and asked for out check.

When Louie first opened about a year ago in Countryside Mall, I was SUPER excited and lovin' it. Now, not so much. I had returned here a few times to watch games or catch up with friends for girls night. I did come one time on $1 burger night and what a mistake that was! I was already starving when we showed up, had to wait an hour for a table. When we were finally seated, service was EXTREMELY slow, presumably so people will order apps and drinks while waiting to increase the bill. Although we ordered as soon as our server presented herself, it was still another hour wait for the burgers. By this time I was grumpy and out of patience. I understand they are popular on this special night due to cheap burgers, but I'd much rather pay a normal price and get the meal in a reasonable amount of time. Besides, by the time they nickel and dime you for toppings on the burgers, its really not all that cheap after all. Another time after that I came here with the boyfriend for drinks and we were not impressed once again. We sat outside, but our server was very inattentive and a bit snobbish. No good drink specials and quite honestly overpriced for most items. Meh. When I want to grab a bite to eat or drinks at the mall I normally pick red robin or bjs before louie. Wish I could say I was a fan, but at this moment it's just not happenin for me.

  • Manish B.

Went here the other night because all the other places in the mall had a long waiting list. This place was half full and we were hungry. It's seat yourself, service was prompt and friendly. The food was just okay. The calamari were very greasy, the potstickers were not too bad. The burgers were good, nothing outstanding but hit the spot. Not a place I would frequent, maybe on $1 burger nights, but the restaurant choices are here are too many to come back here.

I almost never give out a perfect score because it is often not warranted. Gave this place a try because all the other restaurants in the area I've tried before. Ordered the loaded tots and was warned that they were spicy, and they were! But very good flavor. Not the typical 'cheese bacon etc' loaded tots, they had carrots, red pepper, celery, jalapeños, obviously, a spicy creamy olive oil sauce, and other bits. It was great! The Mac and cheese is also great. Smokey cheddar and other cheese, probably provolone or Swiss. Really great food. Our server was attentive without making us feel rushed or over selling anything. The berry mojito is super sweet, the way I like 'em. Point is, if I come across this franchise again I will likely stop in:)

I have only been in for a cocktail but it was good. Go on one of their specialty weekday nights if you want a deal. $1 burgers (add ons extra), $5 martinis, draft specials. Great place for a group. Can be loud. Outdoor seating available as well.

Love the location and love how Countryside Mall is turning into a nice place to hang out after dark. I've tried Bar Louie twice but always had the same outcome. It's too pricey for what you get. Service has always been a little lacking and I wasn't at all in awe over the food or drinks. I admire the interior and the patio area but wouldn't come here often for drinks or the food. I'm not in love but it's a chill place to sit around and have a few catch up chats with friends. The music tends to get a little too loud but I really enjoy sitting outside.

Bottom line right up front? Alright. Too much money for what you get. But if you have more money than sense and can't afford a truely swankey place then it is the place for you. The food is good though. My wife and I went here after a day returning Xmas gifts at the mall. This is a nicer Bar Louie than the one at the International Mall. I loathe that one. So it is already winning with me compared to that one. This one is newer looking and clean. The place is all comfortable and dark wood. It even has a nice outside seating area. The food was very good and I enjoyed my California Club. My wife liked her vege wrap. We got the trio of dips for an app and it is stingy on the dip with tiny little finger bowls to dip in. The salsa was runny and somewhat flavorless. A bright spot was the beer is served in a frozen glass with a nitrogen system because it is so cold that it hurts my teeth. I love that. But the real kicker is the service is SLOW and the prices are rediculous. It was $70 with tip for my wife and I to have 2 drinks each (on special) some chips and dip and 2 sandwiches. Are you kidding me. A well vodka is $6. Beers are more expensive than at a specialty place like World of Beer. And we were about to walk out for a lack of service. and the place was only 1/3 full. 3 bartenders + 6 servers / 16 customers = 0 service. The fix. Get more realilistic prices, hire a hostess to make sure that everyone gets a server, stop trying to be high end while service glorified pub food.

I was here for a staff party, so we had a giant party of 25+ people. That being said, the servers were awesome and we never waited long for anything. Really great job. Our appetizers were amazing. We had some Asian dumplings, warm pretzels with 3 different sauces, hummus and pita, and buffalo chicken. Everyone loved all of them. When our meals came out, I think they could have been great but everything was overlooked. My ahi tuna, other people's burgers, chicken, etc. I'd say this is due to trying to get so many orders out at once and probably isn't typical. It was tasty but overlooked. Fun place, and very nicely decorated.

Place isn't bad. It is seat yourself which can be a pain when it is full. Place was hardly full the last time I went to watch football and we had our pick of over 2/3 of the place. Food prices are kinda on the high side and the quality is not all that great. They run some good specials on drafts and on Tuesdays they have dollar hamburgers after 5. I will pay 6.25 for huge draft but I refuse to pay 7 dollars for a shot of fireball whiskey. It is well located in the mall which makes it a nice place to hang out while the family goes shopping or to meet back up after shopping. All in all not great but not bad either.

    (3)
  • Jerry R.

I can understand their prices being a bit higher because they are in the mall but they need to pay attention to details. Like, don't serve food on a dirty plate. That is inexcusable! The cook plating the food and the server should have noticed it. So we sent it back after waiting on the waitress for 5mins. They made us another chicken nachos and this time they forgot the chicken. I think the manager came out with a small plate of chicken. Really? If I was the manager I would have taken the plate back to the kitchen for them to do it over. I believe they can turn it around if they read the reviews and take the necessary steps to correct the issues. If they do, they will last. If they don't, I predict an early demise.

I went there for happy hour, but I missed the actual happy hour. I ordered a Grand Lemon Drop martini and it was really good-- sour, sweet, and strong. Real lemons were used to make it. I also ordered a whiskey cake. I've never had it before but I thought it was pretty amazing. I shared it with friends and they agreed! Service was good and fast.

Bar Louis is exactly what you'd want from a place with the word "bar" in the name. I've eaten here a couple of times and it's bar food at it's finest. The must order loaded tots are where it's at. (And by that, I mean they are fatty and delicious!) Think crispy outside, soft inside tater tots smothered with cheese sauce, bacon, and japs. Yum, yum, yum! The trio of chips and dips is awesome too. Creamy quac, smooth cheese dip, and fresh salsa with toasty tortilla chips..mmm...hungry just thinking about it! The bar serves up great drinks with a nice variety of brews on tap. The service has been quick and you can always catch a game or Sportscenter on one of the many tvs. I think the prices are about what I'd expect while dining at a mall bar. They certainly aren't cheap but again, it's not that surprising to me considering they have a location at International Plaza. If you want cheaper food, head to the food court.

So my good girlfriend and I decide to pry away from our hubbies and kid's and do girls night. After a fun eve at the Straz, we drove back to Pinellas. It was late and nothing was open. We were close to home and saw Bar Louie's bright sign. We sat on the patio at an inviting table with a little fire pit. The service was mediocre, a washed up slacker in his late 20's was serving us and acted very awkward. ( I too am in my late 20's). It was a bit over priced, but I can't complain considering it was the only non fast food joint open in my area at that time. The Shrimp Bruchetta was great and so were the drinks. (Though I would have preferred them a little stronger for that price!) Overall, it's not bad for a late night bite after an outing, but very over priced and mediocre service.

Initially I was really excited that Bar Louie was opening up on this side of the bridge. I've usually received good service at the International Plaza location but not here. The staff was forgetful - I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water at the bar to accompany my cocktail for example. It wasn't slammed either and they had 3 bartenders behind the bar. The doorman was also a bit rude when we overstepped the outside patio line with our drinks by a foot. I get that they need to keep things up to code, but you can be nice about something as trivial as that. The prices are high, especially given what you get. Perhaps the only time I was at the other location was during Happy Hour so that is why I was taken aback when our bill was so high. It's great that Countryside mall is expanding but this is one place I don't plan on rushing back to.

The $1.00 burger nights are great deal add the fabulous tator tots and you have a ton of calories but a great meal :) drinks are always right on.. Had the angry orchard with a cinnamon sugar rim.. Not something a bartender could mess up, but the service was good!

The wife and I were looking for something to eat last night and wanted to give a new place a try. We figure why not Bar Louie we have been to all of the other restaurants that opened recently at Countryside Mall. As you approach Bar Louie do so from the sidewalk that goes into the mall. I know this may seem ridiculous to say but I do so because the entrance to the establishment is not very visible. It is one door, not a double door. The other way to get in is to approach from the parking lot and walk into the outside seating area. There is a gate around the entire are so you will need to open it towards you to get in. There is no entrance from inside the mall because as we were told they do not want drunks stumbling through it in the middle of the night. Ok, so entering the place is not the easiest thing to do. When we went into the restaurant we asked a server if we just grab a seat or how things work he said sure sit where you would like so we headed outside because inside is loud. It is open seating and we grabbed some chairs on a high top table that seats 7 since all of the individual tables were taken. Eventually 3 other people sat at the other end of the table. The patio is very nice but can be a bit tight on space. We ordered the pot stickers and the spinach dip. Nothing special or outstanding here. The food was just OK normal food. The prices were 8.50 and 8 dollars. Luckily it was $1 beer night, this includes Bud, Miller, and Coors light I believe. The beer menu is fairly limited even if you wanted something else. All told we spent around $20 which is reasonable for what we received. The portions are actually on the smaller side. If we had to pay full price for the beers I would say it was overpriced. All told not a bad place if your at the mall. I will not go out of my way to make a trip to Bar Louie. I think you can find better food at better prices with a better atmosphere else where.

My experience was so-so overall. I ordered a speciality drink that was worth the $10 price tag. However, my companion ordered the generic house sangria and was charged the same amount. Felt like a rip-off. The food was tasty, but some portions felt suspiciously scant. The calamari appetizer that was served in a paper cone was filled half way with shredded lettuce. After a few bites of the fried delights, our forks began pulling out nothing but the lettuce filler. I was not thrilled with anything in particular, but I may give it another try.
