The VERY best, and biggest chicken wings anywhere. Also the least expensive. Good service, sports bar. Menu is interesting and food is always good. But Chicken Wings are the ultimate.

Was looking for a place to get some above average wings and hadn't been to Varsity Club in 5 years. I guess my memory was a little fuzzy. The wings were average sized (if not on the small side), overcooked and on the verge of becoming jerky and the sauce tasted like it came straight from a bottle. The waitress was very attentive, the Cheese Curds addicting, don't mind the old decor and the domestic beer was priced right. Should have driven another 15 minutes north to Snappers Grill.

Honestly for bar food this is one of our favorite places. Sure it is a total dive, but the service has always been friendly and the food is good! When we are in the mood to eat a big tasty burger this is where we head. Their burgers always look hand pattied and not like a frozen hockey puck, there are a million toppings choices, and the appetizers are good too. They seem to always have drink and food specials.

Both this location and Palm Harbor are pretty good. Been to both and nice menu, decent food . both places seems to always be steady or busy and that tells you something. I've never had unfriendly or bad service at either location either..always satisfied when i go. Typical bar and grill but its consistent with good food/service.

I give this place a big thumbs up because it's smoke-free. But if you're a Chicago fan like me, be warned, this is a Packers bar! Other than that, a great place to watch your favorite sports game, plenty of TVs, but get there early if it's a popular game. Nice food and drink selections.

Yelp delivers again! Needed a place near the hotel, logged on and found Varsity. I would never think to visit this place if just passing through. From the exterior, it doesn't look like anything more than a dive bar (or worse). But once inside, you get it's unpretentious, un-touristy environment that feels just right. This place has simple, delicious food. Our server, Amanda, was so sweet and attentive, the bill didn't crush the budget, and the frozen drinks make you happy. We will definitely be back.

This family friendly, packer backer full liquor sports bar and restaurant has been here longer than I have. It's quite large with multiple areas to fit your needs, including some games and stuff for the kiddies in the back. We've always gotten friendly service and the food is standard American sports bar fair with a few exceptions. For example, try the rings of fire, deep friend jalapeño rings. They hit the spot! If you are looking for a gastropub or something like that, this isn't it. If you are looking for burgers, wings, fries, and affordable drinks, you found it!

Still five star, as much for the service and attitude as the food. Now have several friends who are fans of the pizza. Any modification to the standard is welcomed. Any problem is quickly and quietly handled. This is a place I plan to take my kids and grandkids.

Fun place to grab a drink! My favorite place since I can easily walk here but there's always cabs out front. It's pretty well kept too. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is always tidying up. Bartenders are friendly and attentive! Food is pretty yummy- typical bar foods. Prices are fair. Also they have harp which is sometimes hard to find in bars. Definitely try this place

I would never have gone in here on my own, but I've frequented it quite a bit now with my boss. He loves this place. It's in a kinda shady looking strip mall on the corner of a busy intersection. He always gets the boneless buffalo wings which he is addicted to. And so far I've tried their wings, the Ranger burger, and the Texan ( I have a thing for BBQ sauce, I know). Wings are pretty yummy! I could get addicted to them! They have over 10 different flavors you can get and I have yet to try them all! Their hot and honey BBQ are really good though. The Ranger burger was also very delicious. I asked for med. well cooked and it came out just right. The fries are always hot and fresh! Every server that we have had there has been wonderful! So friendly and welcoming. We normally sit at the bar (no alcoholic beverages though, ya know, because, on the job lol). Very nice people! The restaurant is very clean and there is a good mix of customers- business suits, families, construction worker types. I definitely recommend this place for a nice, casual meal. They have a bunch of tv's inside too, so I would assume this place is good for football etc.

What a corner bar. You come for the sports, stay for the people. Join us. Wings, wraps and pizza lead the charge. Not much frozen here.

Great sports bar....Green Bay Packer Backers for sure! Big TV screen and several events running on other screams at the same time. Nice menu. Beer mugs came frosted and pitcher of beer was ice cold. Didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food, Friendly staff. Pool tables, too.

It's not much to look at from the outside, but this place is fantastic. AWESOME service, EXCELLENT food, homey comfortable decor. It's great for watching the Packers during football season, and you just can't beat the food. They have an extensive menu and so far, of all the dishes I've tried, I haven't had a bad dish yet! It's so good I eat here at least three or four evenings a week lol! The wings are AWESOME!

This is one of our favorite Sports Bars in Clearwater, great food at reasonable prices and the service is pretty good. Our only issue is the decor needs serious updating, everything is mismatched; colors, furniture, styles, etc.

The Varsity Club has been around forever...and is a good family sports bar. Lots of TVs, some games for the kids, and good food. The menu is mostly "bar food", but there is a good variety. The burgers are very good, and reasonably priced. This is a great place to watch a game (lots of TVs) or to come with a big group. Don't expect anything too fancy -- just a good place to have a good time.
