Authentic Thai food that may rival some of the best Thai places in Chicago or New York. You know this place is authentic when it has fish sauce with chili as condiments. I had the Noodle Threads with pork and my wife had the Panang Curry with tofu. Both dishes were very flavorful!! We also had the fried tofu app and it was crispy and non-greasy. Portion size was also generous. Great hidden gem in a typical FL strip mall!

Love Thai, Love Tasty food, come try Tasty Thai Cafe. Hands down good Thai food in Clearwater. The owner is really nice. Food is really good. Reasonable price with nice portion and good atmosphere. Less expensive than other Thais around but YUMMY. Check their menu at facebook/tastythaicafe.

Recommend the tomyum with shrimp. Penang was disappointing; it was really plain. Summer roll was mediocre; the peanut sauce tasted very old and stale.

While in town, we decided to stop here for dinner based on the great Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, my husband and I found it underwhelming and not as tasty as we were expecting. It's a cozy little spot tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza close to Publix. As soon as we walked in, we were seated in a booth and given menus. The waitress came maybe seconds after seating us and asked if we were ready to order. I told her we were still looking at the menu . She then came by again not too long after so we gave our drink and appetizer orders to buy us some time to decide on our entrees. In hindsight, I'm rather annoyed that I felt "rushed" to order. I ended up ordering the "Amazing eggplant" entrée without asking what it was and how it was prepared. The summer roll appetizer we ordered was rather plentiful- 4 rather overstuffed rolls packed with veggies and shrimp. They came with peanut sauce and a chili oil for dipping. It was so much I could've had this as a meal. My amazing eggplant was a shock when it came out. It was a heaping platter of lightly fried pieces of eggplant drenched in peanut sauce that came with a side of white rice. Completely NOT what I was expecting and a lesson to always ask how items are prepared (since there was no description on the menu). It was waaay too heavy of a dish. I ate maybe 2 pieces but it really did look like I didn't make a dent in the dish. My husband had pad thai with chicken. He said it was ok but nothing special. I had a bite and it tasted like fish sauce. It just wasn't the flavors that I am used to. While we were dining, I was facing the television and they had a nature channel on showing insects and animals in their natural habitats. Similar to National Geographic. Probably not the best channel to have on while you're eating. It kind of made me lose my appetite as petty of a complaint as it is. At the end of our meal we waited awhile for our check and my husband ended up having to go to the counter and pay. I hated having to pay for a dish that was virtually untouched but it's just a lesson learned for next time. I will say that the servings here are very generous but I just wasn't wowed with the menu items we ordered.

Tried something new, Lad Nam with beef. It's a tasty gravy type soup with large rice noodles, mixed veggies, and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. And the service as always was great. LOVE this place.

Just ate at Tasty Thai Cafe for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The dumplings and the spring rolls were fresh and hot enough to burn my tongue. They were crispy and flaky, and ooh so delicious. We also tried the mango salad on a whim, and it was delicious. My friend rated it as the best salad he's ever had, it's definitely one of my top two. For our entrees, we had the ginger with chicken and drunken noodles and again, delicious (though the mango salad was definitely hard to top). The ginger was strong, but not overpowering, and for the drunken noodles you have to like basil. Tasty Thai Cafe is the best Thai place in the area so if you want good Thai food, go to Tasty Thai Cafe!!!

The best and most authentic Thai Restaurant in an area where there's virtually one on every intersection. Sometimes 3! The Larb, Curries, Prig King, and basil dishes impressed us all 4 times we've dined here. The sauces have more going on than usual, and the Tom Yum Goong is out of this world!

This place is tucked away in the corner of a huge plaza on mcmullen booth. You've probably overlooked it a hundred times, but you should take the time to stop in. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfy. Most Thai restaraunts fill every nook and cranny with as many gilded chotskis as they can fit, but here they keep it simple. It's very open, light and minimal with a still decidedly eastern feel. The food is great. My Fiance and I started out with potstickers filled with shrimp and other various meats. They were perfectly cooked to a light crisp, avoiding that doughy, slimey taste some places serve up. Next they brought us a traditional chicken based broth and the most delicious spring roll I've ever tasted. This apparently comes with your meal, which we didn't know, so that was a nice surprise and the perfect start. I played it safe with some amazing chicken and what can I say? It was amazing chicken like any other Thai joint, but what sold me on it was just how freaking fresh the veggies were. In fact, I kept forking up various veggies and waiving them in my man's face "LOOK HOW FRESH THIS *INSERT VEGGIE HERE* IS!!!" My fiance asked for extra spicy Pho and they delivered that request with expertise. The soup was delicious and he said it was the best he'd had. The presentation was awesome. A delicately sliced carrot butterfly perched atop the Jasmine rice heap formed in the shape of a heart. The service was great too, friendly, quick and cute. This place just really had it all. All in all, this is probably our new go to for Thai. Sorry Amarit and Jasmine Thai- your wonky lunch hours pushed us into the arms of a new love.

What a wonderful THAI restaurant! My husband & I own a well-reviewed restaurant in north Pinellas & are true foodies. This is the best Thai food we've had in a very long time, if not ever! We started out with fried tofu, then onto Pork Larb & then Chicken Prig King. Everything was so delicious! We wish them great success & we'll be back!!!

Great Thai food, especially when there are a lot of options to choose from in the Safety Harbor area. My wife and I always have to get the drunken noodles and try to get another dish to share that we haven't had before. The vegetables are always fresh and have pop. Some places serve veggies that aren't so fresh so this ranks this restaurant higher in my opinion. Tonight we had the green curry which was really good. We also had the summer rolls, they have fresh mint and basil in them. The chicken pad Thai is also very good. The decorations in the restaurant are nice and you can see right into the kitchen so you know that they take good care of the back of house. which we all know can be questionable in take-out restaurants. This is a good go-to spot for us when we don't have a lot of time for a long dinner but want good quality food.

This place is okay. The staff is nice but the food is nothing to rave about. The Panang curry is so gross...I will just stick with the Panang from Wung Thai

Excellent food, service was wonderful, and portions enormous. We had the drunken noodle, chicken fried rice, and eggplant with "amazing sauce." Definitely coming back here!

We eat here all the time as it is close to our office. I will start this by saying the food has always been tasty. Today we were sorely mistreated and the waitress was very rude. It was a first for us and we know people have bad days but this was excessive. To the point that we cancelled our orders. After 15 mins we received our waters. Another 30 min later we asked about the soup starter that comes with our meal. We were told by the young woman that she had "other things to do." The restaurant was NOT busy, there were two other tables making us the third. After being told she was too busy she brought our starter soup, glared at us and walked away. We decided that enough was enough, remember we had now been at the restaurant for over 45 minutes, and asked to cancel our order. I was shocked at our treatment and at her poor excuse for customer service. We will never be eating here again, which is a shame as we eat there once a week, usually take out but we are good customers and good tippers. I hope the owners read this and do something about their snappy hostess/waitress. She needs some retraining in how to handle "stress" and customer service.

I checked in and got 10% off. Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai were very good. Nice little gem in a strip mall.

I've been here on a few occasions and the food is always fantastic. Small restaurant tucked in the back of a large plaza with Publix. I'm never too "adventurous" and almost always stick with pad thai or amazing chicken with peanut sauce. The thai tea here is very sweet and delicious too. They often have groupons and other deals on various websites. The service is sometimes a bit slow, so don't expect to be in and out quickly at dinner time. They also have some awesome inexpensive and healthy lunch specials for $5.95. Beware, they are closed on Sunday, so don't show up here on that day!

Just ordered food from Tasty Thai tonight for the first time and was not impressed. Drunken noodle is one of my favorite dishes, and the second I opened the container, it smelled overwhelmingly like dog food. It had way too much fish sauce on it, and it didn't taste like any drunken noodle I have ever had anywhere else. The summer rolls were good, I was just confused by the two sauces I was served with them. One was extremely sweet and the other one looked and tasted straight out of a jar of Jif peanut butter. The wonton soup was decent, nothing to brag about. It was pretty disappointing and I hope this isn't how all Clearwater Thai food is (that's a scary thought!).

DEEEEEELICIOUS!!!!! Absolutely the BEST Thai food around. (And we've tried most of them). I guarantee you'll have a fabulous meal. Very generous portions and tons of flavor in everything we had.

Best Pad Se-Ew I have ever had, making this place my favorite Thai restaurant in town! The food is always fresh and the green tea ice cream is delicious!! Check this place out and it will quickly become your favorite too!

I wish I knew about this place sooner but wait... It just opened! This new Thai restaurant is exactly how its own name describes itself. Tasty Thai food for sure. The interior is clean and bright and the employees are all very inviting. The restaurant has an open kitchen which is very nice to see the bustling business of the waitress and cooks. The food was all superb. It was served up piping hot and fresh. The ordering technique is similar to Mama Fu's which you would have to pick your protein selection and then the dish you would like. The Tom Kha soup is one of my favorite thai dish and Tasty Thai does not disappoint. All the food I've had here were delicious and this restaurant is a must try! It's also in a very nice plaza full of different types of businesses and places to eat.

We were on our way to Clearwater beach and wanted to have thai food. After researching on google and yelp we found this place. Small thai restaurant in shopping center. We were greeted by friendly staff, had great service. The food was excellent - we had papaya salad, Tom Kha Gai soup, egg rolls with meat, pad thai, thai Basil fried rice, pad see eww and drunken noodles. Everything was on sweeter side (as it's cooked in some regions of Thailand) but had lots of taste and flavor. Definitely one of the best tasting thai food we've had. Highly recommend.

Family owned Thai restaurant located in the publix shopping center (near Ruth eckerd hall). The drunken noodles portion was perfectly priced. We had a deal chicken voucher and was pleasantly surprised. The drunken noodles were full of veggies and chicken and just the right amount of basil. The soft drink offering was cans, not fo If in the area, I'd stop by again.

Really is a hidden gem in that plaza. Food is delicious. Service is great. Touches of attention to detail. Overall, quality food and service. I got the pad thai and thai ice tea. Both were great. pad thai came with peanuts on the side. Mild was not too spicy, but there is sriracha there to spice things up. I would say avoid the sampler and just go for the crab rangoon. It is more spice infused than you may be used to (turmeric powder it looked like), delicious overall. Good choice if for lunch and pretty specific to the area if you're trying to avoid a chain, imo.

Nice quiet atmosphere, good decor. Most importantly good food. The Pad Thai and Peanut Sauce dishes were very tasty. We will be back again to try some other items.

It's kinda hidden in it's location if you're not use to the area. The food was very good. The Thai drinks were even better. Even though it doesn't compare to the LA Thai Restaurants, it did satisfy. The staff are so nice and friendly. Very relaxed environment. There's a lot of parking. Prices are decent & being a Yelper can give you a discount when you check in!

It is Tasty and Thai. I will return to try more, and while this is not authentic Thai food, it is authentic American Thai food that tastes great! (Authentic Thai food would have chicken's feet and livers in the soup, and cost about 50 cents.) While most dinner options are under 10 bucks, spring for the House Specials at the back of the menu, they're delicious!

This little hole in the wall located in a grocery store strip mall is a diamond in the ruff. The food is on point, had the soft shell crab in green curry. Tasty, like a great curry grew on the spice level the more you ate without over powering the ingredients. The veggies were fresh and cooked properly. The Thai tea was made on point, delightful and creamy. They have one of the best peanut sauces I've had at a restaurant and service was very attentive and friendly. If not for being a hike from where i live this would be my go too Thai location. If you live in Clearwater/Dunedin area this is a must try!

My fiance and I are visiting from Michigan, and decided to try Tasty Thai today since it's right across the street. I got the Shrimp Pad Thai and it was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, which as ridiculous as it sounds, is hard for me to find. My fiance got the Red Curry with Tofu. I haven't had much tofu and this was such a positive experience for me. It was crispy and brown on the outside but soft in the middle. Absolutely delicious. We also shared a bowl of Tom Kha soup and steamed shrimp dumplings. The soup was really good, but we found a very hard, inedible piece of something in it (it looked like a piece of mushroom), which kind of turned me off to it. The shrimp dumplings were pretty good. I loved the fried garlic on top for that extra bit of crunch, and the ginger sauce was delicious, it was actually my favorite part. My fiance tried a Thai tea with cream, and I am so upset that I didn't get my own, because it was so good! The atmosphere was really nice. It was very quiet, despite every booth having been occupied. The server was very sweet and attentive. She came over to us just the right amount of times. We will definitely be going back before we head home.

We found this kittle hidden gem via yelp seeking out some Pho. I ordered the noodle Pho with chicken (asked for extra spicey) and was very pleased. This was hands down the best Pho I have had anywhere. Every bite was savory and delicious. The chicken was perfect. Pot stickers for an app - delicious with a great dipping sauce. We also ordered an Amazing Chicken dish and it was fantastic. The presentation of the entire meal was impressive as was the quality service. And to boot, two entrees and an app for under $20, plus 10% off the total bill with check-in will have us returning for sure.

The decor and service is nothing to write home about (I don't think the waitress ever checked on us after we received our food. My food came out a good 10 minutes before my Mom's but I was happy to not have them wait for her food and end up serving me cold food). The food however made up for an incompetences. Specifically the tom ka soup was so delicious that I was inspired to find a recipe online while waiting for my main entree. There were fresh chunks of mushrooms, large slices of chicken and the broth was just as tasty as could be! I couldn't wait for and greatly anticipated the main entree "Amazing Eggplant" which, well.... Was amazing!!! Warning it is burn the roof of your mouth temperature hot when it comes out! I was thrilled that they allowed me to order the "lunch portion" because I had the soup and added the brown rice (a $2 up charge but so much healthier). I think next time I will order extra amazing sauce to add over my rice. The vegetables were all beautifully cut (crinkle cut carrots and fancy zucchini, etc) and oh so fresh! I usually prefer my veggies cooked to death but these were a little under cooked for what I would cook for myself but they had just a little crunch to them as went perfectly with the oh so soft, melt in your mouth fried eggplant chunks! We also enjoyed the coconut ice cream and friend bananas (these appeared to be banana slices rolled in wontons? With just the right amount of honey drizzled on top). We ordered the jasmine tea (I don't think that is what we got and I didn't care much for the tea flavor maybe it was some sort of black tea? Next time I will be sure to order the Thai iced tea w cream. My Mom had the drunken noodles w tofu which was just ok (not a lot of flavor but she added soy sauce and improved the taste. I feel like my meal both the Tom Ka soup and amazing eggplant and fried bananas more than made up for the flat tasting drunken tofu, which is why I rates them 5 stars. We got there around 7p on a Saturday night and I was surprised (and a little nervous) that there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant (where was everyone watching the terrific sunset?!) I was however calmed by the fact that this only other table appeared to be of Thai decent leading me to believe that the food would be authentic and indeed it did not disappoint! We usually order chinese from china 99 (best Chinese food in the area especially the crab Rangoon) but Tasty Thai will be my new "go to" place when I am in Clearwater and I am looking forward to turning my aunt (a local) on to them once she gets back into town. It was a little pricey at $46 ($38 food $8 tip) for two but this included dessert (2) and 1 soup plus 2 entrees and drinks so I feel we got our monies worth. We will be back and soon!

I love Thai food and was super stoked when my boyfriend wanted to try this place out as he never wants any type of Asian cuisine. Our server was very quick to greet us and very nice. My boyfriend has a gluten allergy so she let us know which menu items contained soy sauce so he could steer clear of them. We started with the always delicious summer rolls. I could basically drink peanut sauce and theirs was perfectly peanutty. The rolls were fresh and I liked the use of rice noodles inside instead of rice. I ordered a dish with chicken and a mushroom sauce that the server recommended. It was awesome. I even took it home and ate the leftovers, which I rarely do! My boyfriend's Pad Thai was good as well. We will definitely be eating here again!

I'd like to give it 3.5 stars to start with.. but that's not an option, so let's round up. I'll keep it short & sweet: being a NY'er.. I have high expectations of ethnic cuisines.. So far this is the best Thai I've come across down here. Only been here 1x so far, tried the Panang curry (a little too much peanut flavor for my liking), the Red curry (good but not my favorite nationwide), and the Nam Sod (recommended). This place is off to a good start to my stomach, and we look forward to trying some more of the menu! Service was friendly & good. Parking could be a bit tight if more of the businesses were busy (which was not the case at the time we went). Prices were fair. Small restaurant, Thai inspired decor.

My first time trying Thai cuisine. Great atmosphere, Service was outstanding and the food was good as well. The portions were large enough for two meals. I had the yellow curry w/ chicken, thai tea w/ cream and spring rolls. My daughter and I went on a 2 for $20 coupon and it was well worth it. Loved the Thai Tea!

Nice atmosphere, friendly service. The food was adequate. Not above average in any way. Thai food in general throughout the Clearwater area has been acceptable at best.

I purchased a Groupon for this place after seeing all the reviews on yelp. It is newly opened. I liked their decor; modern but traditional at the same time. They have a semi open kitchen, which is rare to see in Asian owned restaurants. What I love the most about this place was the service. Our waitress was so wonderful. Very informative, attentive and kind. She was constantly checking on us (not in an annoying way) and if not, she was cleaning wine glasses and organizing the front and such. We ordered Thai appetizer sampler, egg noodle and Pat Thai. The sampler comes with 5 different deep fried stuff 2 pieces each kind. That was a little too much for 2 people considering they are deep fried. We could tell the egg noodle came from a packaged ramen noodle, however they seasoned it very nicely and tastefully. Pat Thai was not the best I have ever had but still good. I needed more bean sprout tho. Their lunch is till 4pm and it comes with vegetable roll and soup. Even their lunch plates have generous portions. Definitely not the best Thai I have ever had but still good food, clean environment and great service.

What a wonderful addition to the Clearwater food scene. I have not found a Thai restaurant that met my taste buds until now. Tasty Thai ain't just tasty -- the food is fresh and the service is friendly. The space is clean and wide open and you want to eat there.

Food wasn't bad, but the location and ambiance were a little off. When we went on a Saturday night, it was dead and there was some drippy saxophone music playing in the background. We did notice that they have a lot of specials, so maybe lunch would be a good choice.

I have had lunch and dinner here and loved it. If you like Thai food this is the place for you. It is small but it offers the best Thai food around. I've tasted many things on the menu and each is yummy. It is all cooked fresh to order. The wait staff are friendly and helpful and the cook is cheerful and always has a big smile.

Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. The Tom Yum and Red Curry were both Tasty. Only complaint is the Tom Yum is not a soup included on the lunch menu.

I broke my own rule with Tasty Thai Cafe. I try never to go to a restaurant during their first week in business. But hunger, convenience and a love of Thai food compelled us to try it. I'm so glad we did! Everything was so yummy! We had Spring Rolls, Red Curry and Drunken Noodles. All of the food was very fresh and flavorful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even the chef asked us how we were enjoying our meal. As we left we told a man walking by how good it was and he said he would try it too. :) (Beer and Wine are now served.)

I admit that I am no expert on Thai food, but stopped in for lunch due to all of the great reviews. So glad we did! There were tons of options for vegetarians like ourselves. We tried the drunken noodles and the massamon curry with tofu. The lunch portions were generously sized, and also came with soup and veggie rolls. Great value for the price and so fresh and delicious. We ate every bit! The service was also great. It is clear that they take pride in their food, even down to the beautiful, careful presentation. We will be back for sure!

I stopped in for a mid afternoon snack around 4:30, and the place was empty. To be expected. However, I was promptly and very sweetly greeted and sat! I ordered Thai tea to drink. Delicious, sweet, creamy. I then ordered the fresh summer roll appetizer; a very generous portion for around 5 dollars! 4 tightly rolled, tasty and healthy treats with 2 dipping sauces. I left full and spent less than $10 (not including the tip). This was my first visit but I will be back to try the noodle and curry entrees!

We were near McMullen Booth looking for a place to eat and noticed that both places we were considering, Paul's Chicago Pizza and Tasty Thai Cafe, are located at opposite sides of the same strip mall. After a spirited game of Rock-Paper-Scissors (just kidding!), we went for Tasty Thai Cafe. We ordered an appetizer of two (instead of 4) Veggie Spring Rolls, Chicken Garlic & Pepper Stir Fry with Jasmine Rice and Massamon Tofu Curry with Jasmine Rice. The spring rolls were ok, although i have tasted better veggie spring rolls. It came with two different sauces ( one of which was an amazing peanut sauce). The Massamon Tofy Curry was A-mazing ! It was reminiscent of P.F. Changs Coconut Curry Tofu dish - but Better. So i guess it's safe to say that i love Coconut Curry Tofu in general. We loved our meals and would definitely return !
