Best Thai place we have found since moving to FL! They have jungle curry, so that's a huge plus!! Jungle Curry was delish, veggies were a bit crunchy, but still so good! The soups were awesome! 2 thumbs up!!

This is our favorite Thai food in the area. The food is always fresh, the delivery is quick and everything is always just as we ordered. Highly recommend them. We've tried all Thai in the area. Give them a call, you won't be sorry. Pra Ram noodles are delicious.

If you LOVE Thai, give them a try! Very happy with my entree and Whan, our waitress was fantastic. We have to support our locals so give them a try. You won't be sorry!

Hire more people to answer the phone. Sat on hold for 15 minutes before finally hanging up and calling back, only to have nobody answer. Absolutely ridiculous, will be taking my business elsewhere.

We were craving Asian on a Saturday afternoon and happened upon this place. So glad we did. Their lunch menu is a great deal and the Saturday lunch special is fantastic. We had so much food that we had lunch today. I would definitely recommend.

We had take-out from this little restaurant in Safety Harbor.... partly because my parents love this place and partly because I adore Thai food! We got the Vietnamese spring rolls to start with, which were filled with tofu, egg and bean sprouts. They were wrapped in a thicker rice paper than I was used to but it was delicious and a refreshing change from the "typical" spring rolls! They were served with a thicker sauce that tasted similar to soy sauce. Delicious, but could have used a few more vegetables! We all shared the Thai curry (green) with tofu and pad thai with shrimp. The curry was EXCELLENT, flavorful and came in a large portion! We should have ordered an extra serving of rice though because it wasn't enough for us all to share. The pad thai with shrimp was very good but in my opinion needed a lot more vegetables. It was packed with shrimp though and was a pretty big portion- enough for us all to share! Overall, we loved our "order in" meal after a long day of packing and organizing! I will definitely go check out the restaurant soon!

Very good sushi! They have Fresh fish which is a must but also a rare thing in tampa bay. Very clean and friendly environment, owner is very nice! The Thai coconut soup is the best, and tuna lover

I haven't written a review in quite some time but I feel that this restaurant deserves a good one! At the intersection of McMullen-Booth and Enterprise in Clearwater, there are no less than 3 Thai restaurants. With a sense of curiosity, we tried this one and what a wonderful surprise we had. It has a very unassuming store front and the decor is clean and new. We sat at a comfy booth and began to order soup. We both ordered the Tom Kha Gai, Thai hot. We were surprised that they didn't spice their soup with just chili flakes or the typical condiments but had actual sliced peppers! The flavors were awesome. Next, we were hungry so we ordered 3 appetizers. We ordered the Sampler for 2, the Chicken Wings(Angel Wings) and the Pla Goong salad. We've had a lot of Pupu platters in Thai restaurants over the years and this was by far the best. Everything tasted freshly made and extremely flavorful. The stuffed chicken wings were huge and delicious. The Pla Goong could have used a bit more fish sauce and lime but it was covered in tasty shrimp. Undaunted, we ordered the Pad Se-Ew and the Soft Shell Crabs for entrees. The noodles were spicy and wonderful, it was a huge portion. The crabs were something to behold. There came 2 huge tempura crabs with all their legs and claws intact. We had the spicy basil sauce. The sauce was served on the side so we could dip the crab in it. Bliss. I would have taken a photo but I immediately dove into the dish. We took noodles home which we'll be fighting over later. The takeaway was that these dishes were beautifully prepared and very flavorful. If you go to a Thai restaurant and just have a 'meh' feeling afterwards try this one and you won't be disappointed.

Sabai has the best sushi in Pinellas, bar none! Before finding this gem recently, I used to go to Tampa for sushi, but no longer. The sushi is as fresh as can be; the portions are very generous; the service is terrific; and the staff and owners are wonderful! You can't go wrong with Sabai. It's a must for sushi and Thai.

The Thai waitress said try the papaya salad "Thai hot". She served it. It was hot. We said it was hot. Then the waitress said, "Never order papaya salad Thai hot". So she recommended, served and said not to order the papaya salad, Thai hot. Why have something on the menu you recommend, but not recommend? So, the dinner sucked and it was PRICEY. Dining on a well prepared meal at a fair price is an anathema to Sabai Thai. Don't go here and let them go bankrupt. It won't be long. The place was empty and we are not going back. F them. Which is a shame, because Clearwater needs a good Thai place. Go to Green Mint Asian grill instead or Saigon City if you go to Tampa or go to Bonefish Grill next door if you want expensive McFood.

Nailed it! When I go out to eat, I want to eat something as good if not better than what Incan make at home. Occasionally we find something that exceeds that simple proviso and does so without breaking the bank! Sabai Thai is one of those rare places. We've had the papaya salad, stuffed chicken wings, cucumber salad and the Sabai Sushi Roll! Every bit of it is made with fresh, impeccable ingredients and combined with the skill of true culinary craftsmanship. If you love Thai cuisine or sushi... Don't hesitate to go here. It's now on our must go-to date night list.

Average thai & sushi. When I'm in a fix & it's late I go here they are one of the few places open until 10. This is not my gonzo place. Nothing here is mind blowing but morning is bad either.

Great food at great prices... Lunch rocks here. Never a bad meal and if you ask they will even run it over to the cigar store for you.

Several days ago, on a very unlikely dreary rainy December day, in FL, I had strong cravings for authentic Thai food. Unfortunately, in Pinellas county, FL, most Thai restaurants are typically closed on Sundays. After a quickly search on the net, and to my greatest surprised, I found a new restaurant which was open and happy to serve their hungry customer. Sabai Asian Bistro 2454 McMullen Booth Rd Ste 205 Clearwater, FL 33759 As a self proclaimed, and a well travelled foodie, I was rather reluctant to try Thai food from this little known gem, due to their somewhat broad and unfocused Asian fusion menu. Unlike a typical local Thai eatery, adorned with gold and sparkly decor, this charming and sophisticated restaurant stood out with its bright, light and airy ambiance, coupled with modern, clean and fresh decor - which is more prevalent in cosmopolitan and urban areas such as NY, Boston, or San Francisco, rather than Clearwater, FL. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming server, that I later learned was the mother of the owner chef, North. The menu selection was broad, and offered unique variety of staple dishes from Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cuisine. As a Californian foodie, I'm rather spoiled when it comes to Asian foods, since my bar had been set rather high. With all my typical reservation, I decided to plunge myself into this Asian fusion fiesta, with an open mind. My husband and I selected a number of dishes, from Tom Kah Gai soup, Egg Rolls, Wanton soup, Crispy Duck, Pad Thai , and and a couple of their specialty rolls from the Sushi menu. I tend to be very particular about my food choices and their preparation, so I requested my duck to be extra crispy, and substituted the rice with steamed veggies. To our greatest surprise, upon the first bites from our dishes, both my husband and I were gleaming with delight! Each dish came out made to perfection with fresh and delicious ingredients! The soups were savory and perfectly spiced. The Egg rolls were steaming hot, made with delicate and crispy dough, coupled with a sweet and sour home made sauce. The traditional Pad Thai was outstanding. The Crispy Duck in Penang Curry sauce, was one of the best I've ever had. North certainly pays great attention to every detail in her kitchen! Unlike most other places, the crispy duck was served in a shallow dish, on top of the curry sauce, not to make it soggy, and on top of perfectly steamed fresh vegetables. Furthermore, and to my greatest surprise, the specialty Sushi rolls were as good as I've had in both California, and Japan !!!! Our Thai Japanese feast was competed with a delightful and sweet touch of fried bananas. Sabai Asian Bistro has certainly earned 5 stars from us for their outstanding food, excellent service, and clean and inviting atmosphere!!! Furthermore, they have clearly exceeded our expectations, for their truly rare combination of superb quality, superior service, and an unbeatable value!!! Will be going there again and again! sabaiasianbistro.com

I've been going to Ban Thai and Thai Spice for years but thought I'd give this place a try. Well, it's safe to say I won't be back. This place has no character or warmth. I walked in and wasn't greeted even though only one table was sat, then was told to sit anywhere. The waitress spoke broken English and wasn't attentive with filling up our water glasses. My mom and I split the Vietnamese spring rolls... Very bland. I ordered the Panang curry and my mom ordered the lo mein. I wasn't asked how hot I wanted it, which I found extremely odd. So I asked and the waitress said it was a little spicy and I said ok, mild-medium is perfect. My dish was brought out several minutes earlier than my moms. My Panag had a great flavor, until I found a fly in it. We told the manager and he comped the dish which was extremely nice of him. Overall, I'd say if you want amazing Thai food and excellent service, go to Thai spice. If you want great Thai food and amazing sushi along with a beautiful atmosphere, go to Ban Thai. Both are around the same price as Sabai and definitely more of an experience.

Very good. I each lunch here once a week. Food seems fresh. Staff is friendly. Prices are good. I think this is better than Ban Thai which is just across the street.

Awesome Thai food. I go there all the time. I order the basil chicken and they make it "Thai style"= ground chicken as opposed to sliced. The bomb.

FABULOUS!! I can not say enough good things about this gem in Safety Harbor! We first ordered a few traditional Thai standbys to see how they'd do with those: Panang Chicken with Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup). The soup was absolutely delicious and had the perfect balance of flavors with cilantro, lemongrass and of course the coconut milk. The Panang Chicken is just spicy enough for a little kick with all white meat tender chicken. Again, the perfect balance of coconut and peanut flavors! Then, I tried the sushi. Words cannot describe how truly delicious the sushi is. All of the different rolls I've tried are excellent and very fresh. You can find the standard rolls most sushi restaurants offer, but you've really got to check out the special rolls. Beautifully presented, each I've tried is superb. My personal favorite is the Rama Roll: Salmon, cream cheese with spicy tuna, scallion & seed (see the photo). Seriously my all time favorite of any sushi I've ever tried, EVER. By the way...they DELIVER. Sushi. To you. Pure awesomeness.

A hidden gem from Siam. We were looking for a pre-Ruth Eckerd Hall event restaurant and found one that will be our regular go to place. We had fresh spring rolls, pineapple rice, and basil chicken. All delicious. The service was great. They were happy to bring me extra basil, at no charge. My wife commented that the restrooms were very clean, which for many of us is a carry over to the cleanliness of the kitchen. It appeared that they did a large take out business as well. I look forward to my next visit as we work our way through their extensive Thai menu.

This is my "first try review" I will revisit and re write another post in the future. Sabai is across the street from Ban Thai. Their prices are about the same, but the environment from the pictures lacks. Sabai delivers, hence why I tried it. I ordered the crab Rangoons (really good and different from regular take out) I had the Wonton soup (FLAVORLESS and FULL of vegetables!) and my husband had the Beef lo Mein (Also flavorless and we counted 6 thumb sized strips of beef.) Here is my final opinion. Yes, the food was very nicely prepared. It wasn't greasy, and very light. Sadly, it wasn't what we were in the mood for considering it was from their Chinese menu. We were expecting your typical, sodium packed, "I'ma suffer for this later" Chinese meal. Kudos to Sabai for keeping it delicate. For this, I will give Sabai another try, and order Thai and sushi instead. If I am not overly impressed then at least it will be my new take out/delivery spot (which is healthier than regular takeout) and I will make sure to order something that is not meant to be super unhealthy. I still think Ban Thai Sushi is the best in town, as far as sit down. Read my review on it...... UPDATE: Sabai is my NEW Thai place I guess, Ban Thai had some MAJOR violations....:'( wtsp.com/story/news/2014…
