To America - the Mexico style street vendor is here. This is very unique ice cream store that can be found in Tampa Bay. Most of the food and drink here are home made. They made their own ice cream with various flavor. Most of the names of ice cream are in Spanish. Who care, they just need to be delicious. They also have ice cream in the stick or Popsicle. You can see the real fruit sticking out. Again, they have many flavors. Each one is in very reasonable pricing. In the store they also have the specialty drink. Non alcohol. But it is similar to street sweet treat in Mexico. I have sample for the pinacoloda, mango, tuna. Tuna drink??? It is actually cactus drink. In Mexico they call it tuna. Strange name. The drink is two dollars each. The store items are affordable below $. It is great experience to go to ice treat store like this.

I've been enjoying their pops from Acapulco Grocery and El Maguey Market (on Armenia) in Tampa for years. It was nice to see the mothership. It's a no frills shop a couple blocks from the old location. Lots and lots of fun paleta fruit and ice cream pop flavors to try!!! Pine not, egg nog, strawberry and cream and DOZENS more. Make sure to try them all!!! Maybe not in one visit.. They also have ice beverages:Jamaica (hibiscus), horchata (rice milk), pineapple, piña colada, and strawberry. The ice creams are homemade too. Enjoy this local treasure along with the Mexican eateries along this stretch of Drew. Tell them San Nickolas sent you. The decor is basic industrial. :)

So big stars for the tasty treats, but turn a eye when it comes to service and looks. I tried the mango con chile popsicle and I'm addicted! I love the chunks of real mango and the spicy kick of the chile. It's so tasty... It's my new favorite! The horchata was also really good! Super sweet tho, too sweet for me but still tasty. It's creamy and spiced. Yum! I definitely would come back for their products and would try all the other flavors. I love real fruit bars and they do it right. You can try many different flavors. The service wasn't great. It wasn't much service at all. So don't mind it and get your goods and peace out!

It's been a minute since I've been to La Reyna. Stopped in a couple times on the way back from the beach and La Cabana del Tio. Pistachio is my paleta of choice here. They have plenty of flavors to choose from, as well as ice cream. I believe they also outfit various Mexican grocery stores with their paletas. I want to say I've seen them at Acapulco Mexican Grocery. So if you don't frequent Clearwater very often, check to see if your local Mexican store has them. Minus a point for the atmosphere but I'll give them 4 stars just because I like ice cream on a stick.

NOTE: Cash only for orders under $10. This place rocks, and is the perfect finish to any Mexican dining you do on Drew St., which is the highest concentration of South of the Border flavors in the greater Clearwater area...and those flavors are mighty fine. And La Reyna follows that tradition with their site-made frozen treats. "Michoacan" ice cream is named after the state in Mexico where these tasty frozen treats with their distinct texture and flavors originated. Michoacan ice cream is different from what you usually find here in the U.S. Usually each shop makes its own, churning the frozen treat into unique Mexican flavors. Paletas, or Mexican-style popsicles, are also offered along side of the ice cream, and I usually go with these for their ability to be consumed safely while driving. Every thing this store sells is made on site, and the fresh flavors really shine here. I'm a big fan of their fruit-flavored popsicles, with melon, pineapple and coconut/pineapple tilting the awesome scale as my favorites. The Mango con champs is very unique. It's a mixture of mango, sugar, salt, paprika, and chili powder...which sounds like a pretty wild combination but is actually pretty good. For $2 per popsicle, it's easy to try a few to find a few favorites. There is plenty of seating, probably 25 chairs or so at tables. The owners are super-friendly, and seem to enjoy sharing how they make their products. This store can be very hard to see/find, as it's tucked back behind the two adjoining properties. My friend took me here on my most recent trip to my hometown, and I have to say I was impressed with this place. A no-frills Latino based popsicle shop with a wide variety of flavors. Couldn't taste the eggnog flavor on my chocolate-covered pop, but the pistachio was delicious and the pine nut one was tasty despite its Pepto-Bismol color. So glad I don't live around here - I'd come here all the time.

The ice cream is good too bad the owner has no knowledge of the meaning of courtesy. She is unprofessional and unfriendly. Gives the place a sense of bitterness. I will not go back until she shows some professionalism towards the paying customer. In the meantime I will get my ice cream and aguas frescas at Pacho Villas on Drew.
